| 1 | Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy under steadypressure automatically controlled endoscopy:First clinicalseries显示文摘AIM: To elucidate the safety of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG) under steady pressure automatically controlled endoscopy(SPACE) using carbon dioxide(CO_2).METHODS: Nine patients underwent PEG with a modified introducer method under conscious sedation. A T-tube was attached to the channel of an endoscope connected to an automatic surgical insufflator. The stomach was inflated under the SPACE system. The intragastric pressure was kept between 4-8 mmH g with a flow of CO_2 at 35 L/min. Median procedure time, intragastric pressure, median systolic blood pressure, partial pressure of CO_2, abdominal girth before and immediately after PEG, and free gas and small intestinal gas on abdominal X-ray before and after PEG were recorded. RESULTS: PEG was completed under stable pneumostomach in all patients, with a median procedural time of 22 min. Median intragastric pressure was 6.9 mmH g and median arterial CO_2 pressure before and after PEG was 42.1 and 45.5 Torr(NS). The median abdominal girth before and after PEG was 68.1 and 69.6 cm(NS). | 2 | Van Vleck paramagnetism of europium oxyhydroxide显示文摘Europium oxyhydroxide crystals were synthesized by the flux method. The as-grown crystals were transparent and had a plate-like shape with natural flat surfaces. The powder XRD data were refined by assuming a monoclinic structure of the space group P21/m and lattice parameters of a=0.4346 nm, b=0.3744 nm, c=0.6107 nm, and β=108.62°. The magnetic susceptibility of the EuOOH crystals exhibited typical Van Vleck temperature-independent paramagnetism below 120 K. The calculated susceptibility, based on Van Vleck's theory, agreed with the experimental data to some extent, with the coupling constant λ=458±10 K. | 4 | Monitoring and mathematical modeling of mitochondrial ATP in myotubes at single-cell level reveals two distinct population with different kinetics显示文摘Backgrounds ATP is the major energy source for myotube contraction,and is quickly produced to compensate ATP consumption and to maintain sufficient ATP level.ATP is consumed mainly in cytoplasm and produced in mitochondria during myotube contraction.To understand the mechanism of ATP homeostasis during myotube contraction,it is essential to monitor mitochondrial ATP at single-cell level,and examine how ATP is produced and consumed in mitochondria.Methods:We established C2C12 cell line stably expressing fluorescent probe of mitochondrial ATP,and induced differentiation into myotubes・We gave electric pulse stimulation to the differentiated myotubes,and measured mitochondrial ATP.We constructed mathematical model of mitochondrial ATP at single-cell level,and analyzed kinetic parameters of ATP production and consumption.Results:We performed hierarchical clustering analysis of time course of mitochondrial ATP,which resulted in two clusters.Cluster 1 showed strong transient increase,whereas cluster 2 showed weak transient increase.Mathematical modeling at single-cell level revealed that the ATP production rate of cluster 1 was larger than that of cluster 2,and that both regulatory pathways of ATP production and consumption of cluster 1 were faster than those of cluster 2.Cluster 1 showed larger mitochondrial mass than cluster 2,suggesting that cluster 1 shows the similar property of slow muscle fibers,and cluster 2 shows the similar property of fast muscle fibers.Conclusions Cluster 1 showed the stronger mitochondrial ATP increase by larger ATP production rate,but not smaller consumption.Cluster 1 might reflect the larger oxidative capacity of slow muscle fiber. | Naoki Matsuda Ken-ichi Hironaka Masashi Fujii Takumi Wada Katsuyuki Kunida Haruki Inoue Miki Eto Daisuke Hoshino Yasuro Furuichi Yasuko Manabe Nobuharu LFujii Hiroyuki Noji Hiromi Imamura Shinya Kuroda | 2020 | Quantitative Biology2020，8，3： | 1 |

| 13 | Inferior mesenteric arteriovenous fistula during treatment with bevacizumab in colorectal cancer patient: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Fistula formation is a severe adverse event related to antiangiogenetic agents such as bevacizumab and inferior mesenteric arteriovenous fistula(IMAVF) is a result of acquired factor, especially colon surgery. However, IMAVF occurs very rarely and there are few reports in patients during chemotherapy. We report a case of a patient who developed IMAVF during treatment with bevacizumab in metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) after colon surgery.CASE SUMMARY An 81-year-old man was diagnosed with descending colon cancer and underwent left hemicolectomy without any complications. He was definitely diagnosed with high-risk stage 2 and received tegafur-uracil plus leucovorin as adjuvant chemotherapy. Three years and 6 mo after the operation, the cancer relapsed with peritoneal dissemination. The patient underwent CyberKnife radiosurgery targeting the recurrent tumor and received chemotherapy with S-1 plus bevacizumab. At 1 year after chemotherapy, he complained of severe diarrhea, which is suspected drug-induced colitis. As diarrhea worsened despite the termination of treatment, he underwent colonoscopy and computed tomography (CT) scans that revealed edematous change from sigmoid to rectosigmoid colon. CT scans also revealed an aneurysm adjacent to the inferior mesenteric vein and multidetector CT angiography showed the IMAVF. Elective angiography confirmed the diagnosis of an IMAVF and it was successfully treated by arterial embolization.
