1Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy With Segmental Renal Artery Clamping:Technique and Clinical Outcomes显示文摘Background:Warm ischemic injury is one of the most important factors affecting renal function in partial nephrectomy(PN).The technique of segmental renal artery clamping emerges as an alternative to conventional renal artery clamping for renal hilar control.Objective:To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of laparoscopic PN(LPN) with segmental renal artery clamping in comparison with the conventional technique.Design,setting,and participants:A total of 75 patients underwent LPN from June 2007 to November 2009.All patients had T1a or T1b tumor in one kidney and a normal contralateral kidney.Thirty-seven patients underwent surgeries with main renal artery clamping,and 38 underwent surgeries with segmental artery clamping.Intervention:All procedures were performed by the same laparoscopic surgeon.Measurements:Blood loss,operation time,warm ischemia(WI) time,and complications affected renal function before and after operation were recorded.Results and limitations:All LPNs were completed without conversion to open surgery or nephrectomy.The novel technique slightly increased WI time(p < 0.001) and intraoperative blood loss(p = 0.006),while it provided better postoperative affected renal function(p < 0.001) compared with the conventional technique.The total complication rate was 12%.Among the 38 cases where segmental renal artery clamping was performed,7 had to convert to the conventional method.Tumor size and location influenced the number of clamped segmental arteries.Long-term postoperative renal function is still awaited.Conclusions:LPN with segmental artery clamping is safe and feasible in clinical practice.It minimizes the intraoperative WI injury and improves early postoperative affected renal function compared with main renal artery clamping.(C) 2010 European Association of Urology.Published by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved.Shao,P.F. 2What is going on in magnesium alloys?显示文摘China has been developed into one of the most active regions in terms of both fundamental and applied research on magnesium(Mg) and its alloys in the world from a solid base laid by its prominent metallurgist and materials scientists over the past decades. Nowadays, a large number of young-generation researchers have been inspired by their predecessors and become the key participants in the fields of Mg alloys, which consequently led to the establishment of China Youth Scholar Society for Magnesium Alloys Research in 2015. Since then, the first two China Youth Scholars Symposiums on Mg Alloys Research had been held at Harbin(2015) and Chongqing(2016) China, respectively. A number of crucial research interests related to fundamental and applied Mg research were discussed at the conferences and summarized in this short perspective, aiming to boost far-reaching initiatives for development of new Mg-based materials to satisfy the requirements for a broad range of industrial employments. Herein, four main aspects are included as follows: i) Plastic deformation mechanism and strengthening strategy, ii) Design and development of new Mg-based materials, iii) Key service properties, and iv) New processing technologies.X.J. 3ION HEATING PROCESS DURING PLASMA IMMERSION ION IMPLANTATION显示文摘The research on plasma immersion ion implantation has been conducted for a little over ten years. Much is needed to investigate including processing technlogy, plasma sheath dynamics, interaction of plasma and surface, etc. Of the processing methods elavated temperature technique is usually used in PIII to produce a thick modified layer by means of the thermal diffusion. Meanwhile plasma ion heating is more recently developed by Ronghua Wei et al[1]. Therefore the temeperature is a critical parameter in plasma ion processing. 4A transmission electron microscopy study of microscopic causes for localized-corrosion morphology variations in the AA7055 Al alloy显示文摘By Using(scanning) transmission electron microscopy, localized-corrosion morphology variations of the AA7055 AlZn(Cu)Mg alloy with different thermal processes and their underlying microscopic causes were investigated systematically. Our study shows that the corrosion resistance of the nanoscale precipitates varies with their structure type and Cu-content. Just like the Al-matrix, the early-stage precipitates are corrosion resistant, as compared with the η_p/η-precipitates without high Cu-content. With a high Cucontent, however, the η-precipitates become most corrosion resistant among all phases involved. Hence,tailoring the precipitate microstructure and chemistry though thermal processes may change the overall corrosion morphology and improve corrosion resistance property of the alloy.X.B. Yang J.H. 5THE LIGHT INDUCED CHANGE IN TRANSIENT PHOTOCONDUC-TIVITY OF POLYMORPHOUS SILICON FILMS显示文摘The decays of transient photoconductivity and their light-induced changes of polymorphous silicon (pm-Si:H) films were investigated. The decays can be fit fairly well by a sum of two exponential decay functions, which indicates that there are two kinds of traps contributing to the process. The light-induced changes of the concentration and energy level of the traps were estimated. The results show that the light-induced changes in trap energy position Et, trap concentration Nt as well as photoconductivity are markedly less for pm-Si:H than that for a-Si:H.S.B. Zhang, G.L. 14A STUDY OF TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT VALENCE BOND STRUCTURE OF TITANIUM显示文摘On the basis of energy and shape method for the determination of the valence bond (VB) structures of crystal, the valence bond structure of titanium is redetermined at room temperature and calculated in the whole temperature range of 0-1943K. The outer shell electronic distribution of Ti is e_c^(2.9907) · (s_c^(0.4980) + d_c^(2.4927)) ef1.0093 in crystal. The temperature dependences of the VB structures of hcp and bcc phases are the same. The VB structures of hcp and bcc phases monotonically increase or decrease with the increase in temperature, but show discontinuous changes at the phase-transformation temperature 1155K.X.B. Li Y.Q. 18Principle and Process Window of Cerium Dioxide Thin Film Fabrication with Dual Plasma Deposition显示文摘Cerium dioxide, CeO2, is a potentially superior material in a myriad of areas, and many methods have been proposed to deposit single crystal CeO2 thin films. A novel fabrication technique utilizing dual plasma generated by metal vacuum arc (MEVVA) and radio frequency (RF) is discussed in this paper. We have recently conducted a systematic investigation to determine the optimal process window to deposit CeO2 thin films’on Si(100) substrates.
