| 1 | ION HEATING PROCESS DURING PLASMA IMMERSION ION IMPLANTATION显示文摘The research on plasma immersion ion implantation has been conducted for a little over ten years. Much is needed to investigate including processing technlogy, plasma sheath dynamics, interaction of plasma and surface, etc. Of the processing methods elavated temperature technique is usually used in PIII to produce a thick modified layer by means of the thermal diffusion. Meanwhile plasma ion heating is more recently developed by Ronghua Wei et al[1]. Therefore the temeperature is a critical parameter in plasma ion processing. | 8 | Principle and Process Window of Cerium Dioxide Thin Film Fabrication with Dual Plasma Deposition显示文摘Cerium dioxide, CeO2, is a potentially superior material in a myriad of areas, and many methods have been proposed to deposit single crystal CeO2 thin films. A novel fabrication technique utilizing dual plasma generated by metal vacuum arc (MEVVA) and radio frequency (RF) is discussed in this paper. We have recently conducted a systematic investigation to determine the optimal process window to deposit CeO2 thin films’on Si(100) substrates. | 12 | BRIGHT LONG AFTERGLOW PHOSPHORESCENCE GLASS MADE OF SrAl_(2)O_(4): Eu^(2+), Dy^(3+) AND GLASS FRITS显示文摘Bright long afterglow phosphorescence glasses were prepared by using SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ phos- phors and suitable glass frits together. The SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors were initially prepared by the solid reaction method. Three kinds of glass frits were prepared to match the SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors. Effects of the compositions of the glass frits, the ratios of the phosphors to the frits as well as the firing temperature and firing times on the properties of the samples were discussed. XRD analysis indicated the samples exhibited the typical diffraction peaks of SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+. The emission spectra of the samples showed broad bands peaking at 510nm.The ex- citation spectra of the samples showed broad bands ranging from 300 to 480nm. These are be- lieved due to the 5d4f-4f transitions of Eu2+ in the SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors. The afterglow luminescence of the samples excited by a 40W fluorescence lamp for 30min can be observed in the dark for more 10h with the naked eyes. It can find wide applications in many fields. | X. | 17 | MODELING OF 'BANDING' MICROSTRUCTURE FORMATION IN CENTRIFUGALLY SOLIDIFIED Ti-6Al-4V ALLOY显示文摘Numerical investigations of the 'banding' microstructure formation during solidification of Ti-6Al-4V alloy in the centrifugal casting are conducted using a multi-scale model, which combines the finite difference method (FDM) at the macroscale with a cellular automaton (CA) model at the microscale. The macro model is used to simu- late the fluid flow and heat transfer throughout the casting. The micro model is used to predict the nucleation and growth of microstructures. With the proposed model, numerical simulations are performed to study the influences of the nucleation density, mould rotation speed, and casting size upon the 'banding' microstructure formation. It is noted that changing the nucleation density has a minor effect on the microstructure formation. The rotation speed promotes the formation of 'banding' microstructure, which is more noticeable for larger size castings. The major mechanism responsible for this 'banding' phenomenon is the spatial variation in cooling rates created by centrifugal force. | D.R. Liu E:J. Guo L.P.
