1肾脏病变:对比扩散加权成像与对比增强MRI的病变特征显示文摘目的以MRI随访检查和组织病理学分析结果作为参照标准,比较扩散加权MRI与对比增强MRI对肾脏病变的诊断效能,并评价两者结合的诊断效能。方法机构审查委员会批准本项研究,不需病人知情同意,因其为符合HIPAA标准的回顾性研究。应用对比增强MRI和不同b值下屏气DWI评价64例病人(男46例,女18例,平均年龄60.7岁)的109个肾脏病灶。采用对比增强MRI判断标准评估肾脏病变特征,测量表观扩散系数(ADC)值。B. 2Effect of Post Heat Treatment on Corrosion Resistance of Phytic Acid Conversion Coated Magnesium显示文摘An environment friendly chemical conversion coating for magnesium was obtained by using a phytic acid solution. The effect of post-coating 1heat treatment on the microstructures and corrosion properties of phytic acid conversion coated magnesium was investigated. It was observed that the microstructure and corrosion resistive properties were improved for the heat treated samples. The corrosion current density for bare magnesium, phytic acid conversion coated magnesium, and post-coating heat treated magnesium was calculated to be 2.48×105 , 1.18×106 , and 9.27×107 A/cm2 , respectively. The lowest corrosion current density for the heat treated sample indicated its highest corrosion resistive effect for the magnesium. The maximum corrosion protective nature of the heat treated sample was further confirmed by the largest value of impedance in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies.R.K. Gupta K. 3A study of local amplification effect of soil layers on ground motion in the Kathmandu Valley using microtremor analysis显示文摘Past researchers have anticipated the occurrence of a great earthquake in the central Himalayas in the near future.This may cause serious damage in the Kathmandu Valley,which sits on an ancient lake bed zone,with lacustrine sediments of more than 500 m depth.In this study,the predominant frequency of ground motion is evaluated using the Horizontal-to-Vertical(H/V) spectral ratio technique and recordings of ambient noise.The results of the H/V ratio show two peaks in about 20 percent of the locations,which are distributed mainly in and around the center and northern part of the Kathmandu Valley.The predominant frequencies vary from 0.5 Hz to 8.9 Hz in the study area,whereas the second resonance frequency varies from 4 Hz to 6 Hz in the center and northern part of the valley.This indicates that the center and northern part of the valley have a wide range of resonance frequency due to two levels of impedance contrast one may be from the surface layer and the other may be from the layer underneath.These two levels of resonance indicate the importance of considering the effects of surface and lower layers during the planning and designing of infrastructures in the Kathmandu Valley.Paudyal Y.R. 7Transmission Electron Microscopy Study of the Infrared Brazed High-strength Titanium Alloy显示文摘The transmission electron microscopy was employed to investigate the microstructure of infrared brazed highstrength Ti alloy using the Ti-15Cu-15Ni filler metal. 10Seasonal Inhomogeneity of Soot Particles over the Central Indo-Gangetic Plains,India:Influence of Meteorology显示文摘Black carbon(BC) particles play a unique and important role in earth's climate system.BC was measured(in-situ) in the central part of the Indo-Gangetic Plains(IGP) at Varanasi,which is a highly populated and polluted region due to its topography and extensive emission sources.The annual mean BC mass concentration was 8.92 ± 7.0 μg m^(-3),with 34%of samples exceeding the average value.Seasonally,BC was highest during the post-monsoon and winter periods(approximately 18 μg m^(-3)) and lower in the premonsoon/monsoon seasons(approximately 6 μg m^(-3)).The highest frequency(approximately 46%) observed for BC mass was in the interval from 5 to 10 μg m^(-3).However,during the post-monsoon season,the most common values(approximately 23%) were between 20 and 25 μg m^(-3).The nighttime concentrations of BC were approximately twice as much as the daytime values because of lower boundary layer heights at nighttime.The Angstrom exponent was significantly positively correlated(0.55) with ground-level BC concentrations,indicating the impact of BC on the columnar aerosol properties.The estimated mean absorption Angstrom exponent was 1.02 ± 0.08 μg m^(-3),indicating that the major source of BC was from fossil fuel combustion.Significant negative correlations between BC mass and meteorological parameters indicate a pronounced effect of atmospheric dynamics on the BC mass in this region.The highest mean BC mass concentration(18.1 ± 6.9 μg m^(-3)) as a function of wind speed was under calm wind conditions(38%of the time).SINGH B.P. 12Spectroscopic investigations and luminescence spectra of Sm3+ doped soda lime silicate glasses显示文摘Sm3+ doped soda lime silicate glasses co-doped with As2O3 were prepared and characterised by measuring their absorption spectra in UV-VIS/NIR regions and luminescence spectra in the visible region. Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters, Ωλ, were evaluated from the measured intensifies of the various absorption bands. Ωλ parameters of these glasses were compared with the Ωλ parameters of other reported Sm3+ glasses to study the bonding environment surrounding the Sm3+ in the present glasses. Presence of [AsO4]3- tetrahedra in the second coordination sphere around the central Sm3+ ion made these glasses less covalent as compared to other oxide glasses but the ratio Ω4/Ω6 of the~1.83 indicated them to be fairly stable. With the help of Ωλ parameters and luminescence data for various emission lines, radiative properties for different emission lines were calculated. The values of radiative properties indicated that 4G5/2→6H7/2 and 4G5/2→6H9/2 transitions responsible for orange luminescence might be used in the development of materials for LED's and other optical devices in the visible region.Y.K.
