| 1 | Effects of welding parameters and post-heat treatment on mechanical properties of friction stir welded AA2195-T8 Al-Li alloy显示文摘In this study, the effects of main welding parameters(rotation speed(ω) and welding speed(v)) on the microstructure, micro-hardness distribution and tensile properties of friction stir welded(FSW)2195-T8 Al-Li alloy were investigated. The effects of T6 post-treatments at different solution and aging conditions on the mechanical properties and microstructure characteristics of the FSW joints were also investigated. The results show that with increasing and v, both strength and elongation of the joints increase first, and then decrease with further increase of and v. All the joints under varied welding parameters show significant strength loss, and the strength reaches only 65% of the base metal. The effect of T6 post-heat treatment on the mechanical properties of the joints depends on the solution and aging conditions. Two heat treatment processes(480℃× 0.5 h quenching + 180℃× 12 h,520℃× 0.5 h quenching + 180℃× 12 h aging) are found to increase the joint strength. Furthermore,low temperature quenching(480℃) is more beneficial to the joint strength. The joint strength can reach 85% of the base metal. Whereas both low temperature aging(140℃× 56 h) and stepped aging(100℃× 12 h + 180℃× 3 h) processes decrease the joint strength. After heat treatment all the joints show decreased ductility due to the obvious grain coarsening in the nugget zone(NZ) and thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ). | J. Zhang X.S. Feng J.S. Gao H. | 2 | EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND THERMODYNAMIC CALCULATION ON PHASE PRECIPITATION OF INCONEL 740显示文摘A novel nickel-based superalloy INCONEL 740 was under development for application in ultra-supercritical superheater tubers above 750℃. The precipitation behaviors of η phase and γ’ particles of the alloy were investigated through experimental study and phase computation. Experimental results showed that η phase formed a Widmanst?tten pattern structure following long-term exposure at elevated temperatures and that the coarsening of γ’ particle follows a cube rate law:r-3 ∝ t. Thermodynamic calculation results showed that Al and Ti had an important effect on the precipitation behavior of γ’ andη phases. Two suggested novel modified alloys, wherein the Al and Ti contents were modified, were designed and melted for the experimental study. The preliminary results indicated that the modified alloys exhibited higher structural stability following long-term exposure at 750℃ till 5000h. | S.Q. | 5 | A NOVEL PARAMETER FOR EVALUATING THE FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH RATE IN CARBON STEELS显示文摘A novel parameter is suggested for evaluating the fatigue crack growth rate in carbon steels. Fatigue crack propagation tests of an annealed O.42% carbon steel were carried out under different conditions to investigate the relationship between this dominating parameter and the crack opening displacement (COD). A new equation of fatigue crack growth rate is formulated in terms of the suggested parameter. The physical meanings of the material parameters in this equation are explored experimentally. Considering the relation of crack growth and deformation properties, a simple and applicable method is proposed to evaluate the fatigue crack growth rate. It is also observed that the material parameters in the fatigue crack growth rate equation of carbon steels are related linearly to the material strength. | 6 | DOUBLE GLOW PLASMA SURFACE ALLOYING OF Ti6A14V AND TiAl显示文摘In order to improve the wear resistance of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V and high temperature oxidation resistance of intermetallic compound TiA1, the Double Glow Plasma Surface Alloying Technique (DG technique) was applied to modify the surface properties of these materials. Mo, Nb, Cr, Ni were diffused into the substrate materials to form alloyed layers with different properties. This paper shows the microstructures, microstructures, distributions of the alloy elements of the alloyed layers. Wear and high temperature oxidation tests were carried out. | 7 | STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF BORON CONTENT ON THE ORDERED EXTENT OF THE Ni_3Al INTERMETALLICS COMPOUND BY AP-FIM显示文摘By using AP-FIM the varity of the ordered degree of Ni3Al with L12 structure with B content was studied. The possibility of boron improving ductility was also discussed from bonding between Ni and Al atoms, and antisite defects in Ni3Al. The extent of ordering is reduced with an increase in boron content and the autisite defects are most obvious for 0.52at.K B-doped sample that has the best ductility. Some results were verified by X-ray diffraction non. The addition of boron not only influences electron environment at grain boundary but also in the interior of Ni3Al gm ins, the latter is favorable to improve the ductility of Ni3Al grains. | D.G. | 9 | STUDY ON GREY FORECASTING MODEL OF COPPER EXTRACTION RATE WITH BIOLEACHING OF PRIMARY SULFIDE ORE显示文摘A model GM(grey model)(1,1) for forecasting the rate of copper extraction during the bioleaching of primary sulphide ore was established on the basis of the mathematical theory and the modeling process of grey system theory. It was used for forecasting the rate of copper extraction from the primary sulfide ore during a laboratory microbial column leaching experiment. The precision of the forecasted results were examined and modified via 'posterior variance examination'. The results show that the forecasted values coincide with the experimental values. GM(1,1) model has high forecast accuracy;and it is suitable for simulation control and prediction analysis of the original data series of the processes that have grey characteristics,such as mining,metallurgical and mineral processing,etc. The leaching rate of such copper sulphide ore is low.
