| 1 | Opposite effects of nitrogen fertilization and plastic film mulching on crop N and P stoichiometry in a temperate agroecosystem显示文摘Aims Crop nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)stoichiometry can influence food nutritive quality and many ecosystem processes.However,how and why N and P stoichiometry respond to long-term agricul-tural management practices(e.g.N fertilization and film mulching)are not clearly understood.Methods We collected maize tissues(leaf,stem,root and seed)and soil sam-ples from a temperate cropland under 30-year continuous N fer-tilization and plastic film mulching treatments,measured their C,N and P concentrations(the proportion(%)relative to the sample mass),and used structural equation models to uncover the re-sponding mechanisms for crop N and P contents(the total amount(g/m2)in crop biomass).Important Findings Long-term N fertilization increased N concentrations in all crop tissues but sharply decreased P concentrations in vegetative tis-sues(leaf,stem and root),thereby reducing their C/N ratio and increasing C/P and N/P ratios.The drop in P concentration in vegetative tissues was due to the dilution effect by biomass in-crement and the priority of P supply for seed production.In con-trast,film mulching decreased N concentration but increased P concentrations in most crop tissues,thereby increasing C/N ratio and reducing C/P and N/P ratios.Film mulching increased crop P content by increasing soil temperature and moisture;whereas,mulching showed little effect on crop N content,because a posi-tive effects of soil temperature may have canceled out a negative effect by soil moisture.This indicated a decoupling of P and N uptake by crops under film mulching.In conclusion,N fertiliza-tion and plastic film mulching showed opposite effects of on crop N and P stoichiometry. | Fan Ding Shuangyi Li Xiao-Tao Lü Feike A.Dijkstra Sean Schaeffer Tingting An Jiubo Pei Liangjie Sun Jingkuan Wang | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,4: | 8 |
| 2 | 含氟牙膏对离体脱矿恒牙再矿化作用的实验研究显示文摘目的评价含氟牙膏促进离体脱矿恒牙再矿化的作用。方法选取和制作牙体硬度170KHN左右的16颗离体年轻脱矿恒牙标本,随机分成A、B两组(P>0.05)。A组用无氟Crest牙膏作再矿化处理,B组用含氟的Crest牙膏作再矿化处理,同时将A、B组标本浸泡于人唾液中。用微硬度测量仪测定并记录每个牙标本的硬度。结果A组脱矿牙的硬度平均值为151.9±38.3,而再矿化后牙齿的硬度平均值为143.4±18.8,两组比较P>0.05。B组脱矿牙的硬度平均值为160.1±16.5,而再矿化后牙齿的硬度平均值为200.5±21.3,两组比较P<0.05。再矿化后AB两组的硬度值比较P<0.001。结论含氟牙膏对离体脱矿恒牙有较明显的再矿化作用。 | 陈宏 丁熙 张秀华 ZHANG Wu LI Yi-min Sean S. | 3 | Hepatocellular Carcinoma and the Role of Liver Transplantation:A Review显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide and liver transplantation(LT)is the only potentially curative treatment.Over the years,Milan criteria has been used for patient selection.There is ongoing research in this field with introduction of new biomarkers for HCC that can help guide future treatment.Furthermore,newer therapies for downstaging of the tumor are being implemented to prevent dropout from the transplant list.In addition,combination therapies for better outcome are under investigation.Interestingly,the concept of living-donor LT and possible use of hepatitis C virus-positive donors has been implemented as an attempt to expand the organ pool.However,there is a conflict of opinion between different centers regarding its efficacy and data is scarce.The aim of this review article is to outline the various selection criteria for LT,discuss the outcomes of LT in HCC patients,and explore future directions of LT for HCC.Therefore,a comprehensive PubMed/MEDLINE review was conducted.To expand our search,references of the retrieved articles were also screened for additional data.After selecting the studies,the authors independently reviewed them to identify the relevant studies.After careful evaluation 120 studies relevant to out topic are cited in the manuscript.Three tables and two figures are also included.In conclusion LT for HCC has evolved over the years.With the introduction of several expanded criteria beyond Milan,the introduction of bridging therapies,such as transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation,and the approval of newer systemic therapies,it is evident that there will be more LT recipients in the future.It is promising to see ongoing trials and the continuous evolution of protocols.Prospective studies are needed to guide the development of a pre-LT criteria that can ensure low HCC recurrence risk and is not overly stringent,clarify the role of LDLT,and determine the optimal bridging therapies to LT. | Haris Muhammad Aniqa Tehreem Peng-Sheng Ting Merve Gurakar Sean Young Li Cem Simsek Saleh A.Alqahtani Amy K.Kim Ruhail Kohli Ahmet Gurakar | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5: | 7 |

| 5 | A Facile and Template-Free One-Pot Synthesis of Mn_3O_4 Nanostructures as Electrochemical Supercapacitors显示文摘In this paper, we report an effective, simple, and cost-effective strategy of electrochemical deposition to prepare hausmannite Mn_3O_4 thin films for the applications of supercapacitors. Various precursor concentrations and deposition durations were manipulated to tailor the surface morphologies of Mn_3O_4 nanostructures and to optimize their electrochemical performances. The Mn_3O_4 samples prepared at 0.05 M Mn(NO3)2solution for 30 min delivered a large gravimetric specific capacitance of 210 F g-1at a current density of 0.5 A g-1, and a good rate capability over other samples. This superior electrochemical performance may be attributed to the improved electrode conductivity with increased accessible area for electrolytes ions. Furthermore, a nanocomposite film based on Mn_3O_4/carbon foam was fabricated by utilizing the developed optimized conditions. The Mn_3O_4/carbon foam films exhibit an excellent specific capacitance with negligible degradation in retaining specific capacitance values up to 4000 cycles. | 6 | Controlled fabrication of Pr(OH)_3 nanowires for enhanced photocatalytic activities显示文摘In this report, praseodymium hydroxide Pr(OH)_3 nanowires with different aspect ratios (length to diameter ratios) were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal approach. The variations in alkali concentration during synthesis are found to form different aspect ratios of nanowires. The X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy analysis demonstrate the absence of any impurity phases in as-prepared materials.Subsequently, photocatalytic activities of as-prepared nano wires were evaluated by the degradation of methyl orange (MO). Our findings reveal that the nanowires with larger aspect ratios have higher photocatalytic efficiency than the smaller aspect ratio samples. X-ray photospectroscopy investigations reveal that the samples with higher aspect ratio are found to exhibit more oxygen vacancies as compared to lower aspect ratio samples. The enhanced photocatalytic activities can be attributed to the presence of higher percentage of active crystal facet (100), higher concentration of defects densities and narrower band gap.
