2Driving factors of direct greenhouse gas emissions from China's pig industry from 1976 to 2016显示文摘Livestock cultivation is a significant source of greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions, accounting for 14.5% of the total anthropogenic emissions. China is responsible for a considerable share of the global livestock emissions, particularly caused by pork production. We used the Kaya identity and the logarithmic mean Divisia index(LMDI) to decompose the national annual GHG emissions from enteric fermentation and manure management in pig farming in China from 1976 to 2016. We decomposed the sources of the emissions into five driving factors:(1) technological progress(e.g., feed improvement);(2) structural adjustment in the livestock sector;(3) structural adjustment in agriculture;(4) affluence;and(5) population growth. The results showed that the net GHG emissions from the pig sector in China increased 16 million tons(Mt) of carbon dioxide equivalents(CO2 eq) during the study period. The decomposition analysis revealed that structural adjustment in agriculture, growing affluence, and population growth contributed to an increase of the GHG emissions of pork production by 23, 41, and 13 Mt CO2 eq, respectively. The technological progress and structural changes in animal husbandry mitigated emissions by –51 and –11 Mt CO2 eq, respectively. Further technological progress in pig production and optimizing the economic structures are critical for further reducing GHG emissions in China's pig industry. 3A micromirror array with annular partitioning for high-speed random-access axial focusing显示文摘Dynamic axial focusing functionality has recently experienced widespread incorporation in microscopy,augmented/virtual reality(AR/VR),adaptive optics and material processing.However,the limitations of existing varifocal tools continue to beset the performance capabilities and operating overhead of the optical systems that mobilize such functionality.The varifocal tools that are the least burdensome to operate(e.g.liquid crystal,elastomeric or optofluidic lenses)suffer from low(≈100 Hz)refresh rates.Conversely,the fastest devices sacrifice either critical capabilities such as their dwelling capacity(e.g.acoustic gradient lenses or monolithic micromechanical mirrors)or low operating overhead(e.g.deformable mirrors).Here,we present a general-purpose random-access axial focusing device that bridges these previously conflicting features of high speed,dwelling capacity and lightweight drive by employing lowrigidity micromirrors that exploit the robustness of defocusing phase profiles.Geometrically,the device consists of an 8.2mm diameter array of piston-motion and 48-μm-pitch micromirror pixels that provide 2πphase shifting for wavelengths shorter than 1100 nm with 10-90% settling in 64.8μs(i.e.,15.44 kHz refresh rate).The pixels are electrically partitioned into 32 rings for a driving scheme that enables phase-wrapped operation with circular symmetry and requires<30 V per channel.Optical experiments demonstrated the array’s wide focusing range with a measured ability to target 29 distinct resolvable depth planes.Overall,the features of the proposed array offer the potential for compact,straightforward methods of tackling bottlenecked applications,including high-throughput single-cell targeting in neurobiology and the delivery of dense 3D visual information in AR/VR.Nathan Tessema Ersumo Cem Yalcin Nick Antipa Nicolas Pegard Laura Waller Daniel Lopez Rikky Muller 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:2

14Organosilane surfactant-assisted synthesis of mesoporous SSZ-39 zeolite with enhanced catalytic performance in the methanol-to-olefins reaction显示文摘SSZ-39 zeolite with AEI framework structure is a good catalyst candidate for the methanol-to-olefins(MTO)reaction.However,the diffusion limitation and coke formation often results in fast deactivation of the SSZ-39 zeolite catalyst.One solution for this challenge is to introduce mesoporosity in the SSZ-39 zeolite.Herein,we report the synthesis of mesoporous SSZ-39 zeolite using an organosilane surfactant,,-dimethyl--(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)octan-1-aminium chloride,as a mesopore template and,-dimethyl--2,6-dimethylpiperidinium as a micropore template.The obtained zeolites were characterized by X-ray diffraction,N sorption,scanning electron microscopy,temperature programmed desorption of ammonia,and magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance of Al.The results show that the mesoporous SSZ-39 zeolite has high crystallinity,meso/microporosity,high surface area,cuboid morphology,and abundant acidic sites.More importantly,this mesoporous SSZ-39 zeolite exhibits enhanced catalyst lifetime in the MTO reaction due to the presence of mesoporosity for fast mass transfer,compared with a conventional SSZ-39 zeolite without mesoporosity.Hao Xu Chi Lei Qinming Wu Qiuyan Zhu Xiangju Meng Daniel Dai Stefan Maurer Andrei-Nicolae Parvulescu Ulrich Muller Fengshou Xiao 2020Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2020,14,2:1
