| 1 | Frequent mutations of the CA simple sequence repeat in intron 1 of EGFR in mismatch repair-deficient colorectal cancers显示文摘AIM:To investigate the polymorphic simple sequencerepeat in intron 1 of the epidermal growth factor receptorgene(EGFR)(CA-SSRⅠ),which is known to affect theefficiency of gene transcription as a putative target of themismatch repair(MMR)machinery in colorectal tumors.METHODS:The CA-SSRⅠgenotype was analyzed ina total of 86 primary colorectal tumors,selected upontheir microsatellite instability(MSI)status[42 with highfrequency MSI(MSI-H)and 44 microsatellite stable(MSS)]and their respective normal tissue.The effect of the CA-SSRⅠgenotype on the expression of the EGFR gene wasevaluated in 18 specimens using quantitative real-timereverse transcription PCR and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:Mutations in CA-SSRⅠwere detected in 86%(36 of 42)of MSI-H colorectal tumors and 0%(0 of 44)ofMSS tumors,indicating the EGFR gene as a novel putativespecific target of the defective MMR system(P<0.001).Impaired expression of EGFR was detected in most ofthe colorectal tumors analyzed[6/12(50%)at the mRNAlevel and 15/18(83%)at the peptide level].However,noassociation was apparent between EGFR expression andCA-SSRⅠstatus in tumors or normal tissues.CONCLUSION:Our results suggest that CA-SSRⅠsequence does not contribute to the regulation of EGFRtranscription in colon,and should thus not be consideredas a promising predictive marker for response to EGFRinhibitors in patients with colorectal cancer. | Marie-Pierre Buisine Agnès Wacrenier Christophe Mariette Emmanuelle Leteurtre Fabienne Escande Sana Aissi Amandine Ketele Annette Leclercq Nicole Porchet Thécla Lesuffleur | 2008 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2008，14，7： | 3 |

| 7 | Impregnated Paper-Based Decorative Laminates Prepared from Lignin-Substituted Phenolic Resins显示文摘High Pressure Laminates(HPL)panels consist of stacks of self-gluing paper sheets soaked with phenol-formaldehyde(PF)resins.An important requirement for such PFs is that they must rapidly penetrate and saturate the paper pores.Partially substituting phenol with bio-based phenolic chemicals like lignin changes the physico-chemical properties of the resin and affects its ability to penetrate the paper.In this study,PF formulations containing different proportions of lignosulfonate and kraft lignin were used to prepare paper-based laminates.The penetration of a Kraft paper sheet was characterized by a recently introduced,new device measuring the conductivity between both sides of the paper sheet after a drop of resin was placed on the surface and allowed to penetrate the sheet.The main target value measured was the time required for a specific resin to completely penetrate the defined paper sample(“penetration time”).This penetration time generally depends on the molecular weight distribution,the flow behavior and the polarity of the resin which in turn are dependent on the manufacturing conditions of the resin.In the present study,the influences of the three process factors:(1)type of lignin material used for substitution,(2)lignin modification by phenolation and(3)degree of phenol substitution on the penetration times of various lignin-phenolic hybrid impregnation resins were studied using a complete twolevel three-factorial experimental design.Thin laminates made with the resins diluted in methanol were mechanically tested in terms of tensile and flexural strains,and their cross-sections were studied by light microscopy. | Marion Thébault Ya Li Christopher Beuc Stephan Frömel-Frybort Edith-Martha Zikulnig-Rusch Larysa Kutuzova Andreas Kandelbauer | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020，8，10： | 1 |

| 12 | Low incidence of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in asymptomatic cirrhotic outpatients显示文摘AIM: To compare the incidence of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in cirrhotic outpatients and inpatients undergoing therapeutic paracentesis METHODS: From January 1 to May 31, 2004, 1041 patients from 70 different hospitals underwent 2123 therapeutic abdominal paracentesis (AP) performed as a outpatient procedure in 355 and as inpatient procedure in 686 cases respectively. The following parameters were compared prospectively between outpatients and inpatients: spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) prevalence, age, gender, cause of cirrhosis, symptoms, score and grade according to Child-Pugh classification, cirrhosis complications, antibiotics treatment, serum creatinine, platelet count and ascitic protein concentration. RESULTS: SBP was observed in 91 patients. In the whole population the SBP prevalence was 8.7% (95%CI: 7.2-10.6) it was 11.7% (95%CI: 9.5-14.3) in inpatients and 3.1% (95%CI: 1.7-5.5) in outpatients (P < 0.00001). SBP prevalence was 8.3% (95%CI: 4.3-15.6) in symptomatic outpatients vs 1.2% (95%CI: 0.4-3.4) in asymptomatic outpatients (P < 0.002). Patients undergoing outpatient AP were significantly different from those undergoing inpatient AP; they were older (61.1 ± 11.1 years vs 59.4 ± 11.7 years; P = 0.028), cause of cirrhosis was less often alcohol (83 .7 vs 88.2%; P < 0.001), Child-Pugh score was lower (8.9 vs 10.1; P < 0.001) and more often B than C (63.7% vs 38%; P < 0.001). In addition, in outpatients the platelet count was higher (161 ± 93 Giga/L vs 143 ± 89 Giga/L; P = 0.003), serum total bilirubin concentration was lower (38.2 ± 60.7 μmol/L vs 96.3 ± 143.3 μmol/L; P < 0.0001), and ascitic protein concentration higher (17.9 ± 10.7 g/L vs 14.5 ± 10.9 g/L; P < 0.001) than in inpatients.
