| 1 | Analysis of the human Atox 1 homologue in Wilson patients显示文摘AIM: To analyze the metallochaperone antioxidant-1 (Atox1) gene sequence in Wilson disease patients. METHODS: Mutation analysis of the four exons of the Atox1 gene including the intron- exon boundaries was performed in 63 Wilson disease patients by direct sequencing. RESULTS: From 63 selected patients no mutations were identified after the entire coding region including the intron- exon boundaries of Atox1 were sequenced. One known polymorphism within the Atox1 gene (5’UTR -99 T>C) in 31 (49%) of the Wilson patients as well as one previously undescribed variation (5’UTR -68 C>T) in 2 of the Wilson patients could be detected. Statistical analyses revealed that the existence of a variation within the Atox1- gene showed a tendency towards an earlier onset of the disease. | 2 | Aquatic exercise program-modulated oxidative stress markers in patients with Parkinson's disease显示文摘Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease.Oxidative stress,i.e.,the imbalance between the generation of reactive oxygen species and the antioxidant defense capacity of the body,plays an important role in the pathogenesis of this disease.Physical exercise can regulate oxidative stress.The purpose of this study was to analyze the short-and long-term effects of an aquatic exercise program on oxidative stress levels in patients with Parkinson's disease.The aquatic exercise program was carried out during 1 month with two sessions per week(1 hour/session).Blood samples were collected at four different time points:pre-intervention,immediately,48 hours,and 30 days after the first session of aquatic exercise program.Our results revealed that water-based programs modulated antioxidant enzyme activity,increased superoxide dismutase activity,reduced catalase activity,and increased the ratio of superoxide dismutase activity to catalase activity in patients with Parkinson's disease.Compared with pre-intervention and 48 hours after the first session of aquatic exercise program,superoxide dismutase activity was higher and catalase activity was lower immediately and 30 days after the first session.Our results demonstrated that aquatic exercise program could modulate oxidative stress,mainly by the effect of antioxidant enzyme activity.These results could better help understand the target of oxidative stress in Parkinson's disease.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Centro Universitário Metodista IPA(approval No.1.373.911)on August 9,2019 and registered with REBEC(registration number:RBR-6 NJ4 MK). | Caroline Dani Isabel Teixeira Proenca Jessica Marinho Pamela Peccin Ivy Reichert Vital da Silva Simone Nique Vera Striebel Daniela Pochmann Viviane Rostirola Elsner | 2020 | Neural Regeneration Research2020，15，11： | 4 |

| 17 | Off-label-use of sulfur-hexafluoride in voiding urosonography for diagnosis of vesicoureteral reflux in children:A survey on adverse events显示文摘AIM To evaluate the risk profile of sulfur hexafluoride in voiding urosonography(VUS) based on a large cohort of children.METHODS Since 2011 sulfur hexafluoride(SH,SonoV ue?,Bracco,Italy) is the only ultrasound contrast available in the European Union and its use in children has not been approved.Within a 4-year-period,531 children with suspected or proven vesicoureteral reflux(f/m = 478/53; mean age 4.9 years; 1 mo-25.2 years) following parental informed consent underwent VUS with administration of 2.6 ± 1.2 mL SH in a two-center study.A standardizedtelephone survey on adverse events was conducted three days later.RESULTS No acute adverse reactions were observed.The survey revealed subacute,mostly self-limited adverse events in 4.1%(22/531).The majority of observed adverse events(17/22) was not suspected to be caused by an allergic reaction: Five were related to catheter placement,three to reactivated urinary tract infections,five were associated with perineal disinfection before voiding urosonography or perineal dermatitis and four with a common cold.In five patients(0.9%) hints to a potential allergic cause were noted: Perineal urticaria was reported in three interviews and isolated,mild fever in two.These were minor self-limited adverse events with a subacute onset and no hospital admittance was necessary.Ninety-six point two percent of the parents would prefer future VUS examinations with use of SH.CONCLUSION No severe adverse events were observed and indications of self-limited minor allergic reactions related to intravesical administration of SH were reported in less than 1%. | Alexander Sauer Clemens Wirth Isabel Platzer Henning Neubauer Simon Veldhoen Alexander Dierks Reinhard Kaiser Andreas Kunz Meinrad Beer Thorsten Bley | 2017 | World Journal of Clinical Pediatrics2017，6，1： | 1 |
