Highly efficient and stable white LEDs based on pure red narrow bandwidth emission triangular carbon quantum dots for wide-color gamut backlight displays显示文摘High-performance white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) hold great potential for the next-generation backlight display applications. However, achieving highly efficient and stable WLEDs with wide-color-gamut has remained a formidable goal.Reported here is the first example of pure red narrow bandwidth emission triangular CQDs (PR-NBE-T-CQDs) with photoluminescence peaking at 610 nm.The PR-NBE-T-CQDs synthesized from resorcinol show high quantum yield (QY) of 72% with small full width at half maximum of 33 nm.By simply controlling the reaction time, pure green (PG-) NBE-T-CQDs with high QY of 75% were also obtained.Highly efficient and stable WLEDs with wide-color-gamut based on PR- and PG-NBE-T-CQDs was achieved. This WLED showed a remarkable wide-color gamut of 110% NTSC and high power efficiency of 86.5 lumens per Watt.Furthermore, such WLEDs demonstrate outstanding stability. This work will set the stage for developing highly efficient, low cost and environment-friendly WLEDs based on CQDs for the next-generation wide-color gamut backlight displays. | Fanglong Yuan Ping He Zifan Xi Xiaohong Li Yunchao Li Haizheng Zhong Louzhen Fan Shihe Yang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,7: | 12
Generation of a Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome monkey model by base editing显示文摘Many human genetic diseases, including Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome(HGPS),are caused by single point mutations.HGPS is a rare disorder that causes premature aging and is usually caused by a de novo point mutation in the LMNA gene.Base editors(BEs)composed of a cytidine deaminase fused to CRISPR/Cas9 nickase are highly efficient at inducing C to T base conversions in a programmable manner and can be used to generate animal disease models with single amino-acid substitutions. Here,we generated the first HGPS monkey model by delivering a BE mRNA and guide RNA(gRNA)targeting the LMNA gene via microinjection into monkey zygotes.Five out of six newborn monkeys carried the mutation specifically at the target site.HGPS monkeys expressed the toxic form of lamin A,progerin, and recapitulated the typical HGPS phenotypes including growth retardation, bone alterations, and vascular abnormalities. Thus, this monkey model genetically and clinically mimics HGPS in humans, demonstrating that the BE system can efficiently and accurately generate patient-specific disease models in non-human primates. | Fang Wang Weiqi Zhang Qiaoyan Yang Yu Kang Yanling Fan Jingkuan Wei Zunpeng Liu Shaoxing Dai Hao Li Zifan Li Lizhu Xu Chu Chu Jing Qu Chenyang Si Weizhi Ji Guang-Hui Liu Chengzu Long Yuyu Niu | 2020 | Protein & Cell2020,11,11: | 11

Synergy of photocatalytic reduction and adsorption for boosting uranium removal with PMo_(12)/UiO-66 heterojunction显示文摘In this work,we proposed a new U(Ⅵ)removal strategy combining adsorption and photocatalytic reduction by the PMo_(12)/UiO-66 heterojunctions. The PMo_(12)has been encapsulated in the cavities of Ui O-66 by a one-step hydrothermal method, and the PMo_(12)/UiO-66 exhibited high adsorption capacity and photocatalytic activity. The maximal theoretical sorption capacity of U(Ⅵ)on 15%PMo_(12)/UiO-66 reached225.36 mg/g and the photoreduction rate of 15%PMo_(12)/UiO-66 is about thirty times as much as UiO-66.Under the light irradiation, the photogenerated electrons rapidly transport from UiO-66 to PMo_(12),and the photo-generated electrons could efficiently reduce the pre-enriched U(Ⅵ)to U(IV).This work provides new insights into remediation of the radioactive environment. | Zhibin Zhang Zifan Li Zhimin Dong Fengtao Yu Yingcai Wang Youqun Wang Xiaohong Cao Yuhui Liu Yunhai Liu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,7: | 2
RNA-binding protein QKI regulates contact inhibition via Yes-associate protein in ccRCC显示文摘Contact inhibition adjusts organ size to the proper size and ensures the cultured cells growing to a monolayer.By regulating the downstream coordinator YAP,the evolutionarily conserved Hippo transduction pathway attunes cell growth and death in response to cell contact inhibition,polarity,self-renewal,and differentiation.Dysregulation of this pathway is involved in various diseases such as cancer.RNA-binding protein QKI regulates cell proliferation, metabolism, division, and immunity in various cancer models, but its role in cancer cell contact inhibition remains unclear. In this study,we aimed to clarify the relationship between QKI and YAP,and the role of their interaction in cell contact inhibition. We found a lower QKI expression level in sparse condition, whereas a higher expression level in confluent condition by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay.QKI knockdown elevated cell proliferation and invasion both in vitro and in vivo.Strikingly, the results of CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay, and transwell assay showed that the phenomenon was in accord with the expression level of pYAP and reverse with YAP.Higher levels of Wnt3a and β-catenin were also found in xenografts of QKI-knockdown clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) CAKI-1 cells by western blot analysis and immumohistochemical staining. Finally,a positive correlation between QKI and pYAP was found in clinical specimens by immunohistochemistry. Thus,as a negative regulator of YAP,QKI attuned the cell contact inhibition, leading to inhibition of cancer cell proliferation and invasion through Wnt and GPCR pathway. | Zheng Zhu Di Wei Xi'an Li Fuli Wang Fei Yan Zibao Xing Zhao Yan Huanyu Lu Dongsheng Zhai Ziehen Ye Geng Zhang Ping Meng Yu Zheng Jiarui Yuan Zifan Lu Jianlin Yuan | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1: | 2
Manipulations of micro/nanoparticles using gigahertz acoustic streaming tweezers显示文摘Contactless acoustic manipulation of micro/nanoscale particles has attracted considerable attention owing to its near independence of the physical and chemical properties of the targets, making it universally applicable to almost all biological systems.Thin-film bulk acoustic wave(BAW)resonators operating at gigahertz(GHz)frequencies have been demonstrated to generate localized high-speed microvortices through acoustic streaming effects.Benefitting from the strong drag forces of the high-speed vortices,BAW-enabled GHz acoustic streaming tweezers(AST)have been applied to the trapping and enrichment of particles ranging in size from micrometers to less than 100 nm.However, the behavior of particles in such 3D microvortex systems is still largely unknown. In this work, the particle behavior(trapping, enrichment, and separation)in GHz AST is studied by theoretical analyses,3D simulations, and microparticle tracking experiments. It is found that the particle motion in the vortices is determined mainly by the balance between the acoustic streaming drag force and the acoustic radiation force. This work can provide basic design principles for AST-based lab-on-a-chip systems for a variety of applications. | Hang Wu Zifan Tang Rui You Shuting Pan Wenpeng Liu Hongxiang Zhang Tiechuan Li Yang Yang Chongling Sun Wei Pang Xuexin Duan | 2022 | Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2022,5,2: | 1
Pathogenesis of premature coronary artery disease:Focus on risk factors and genetic variants显示文摘The development of premature coronary artery disease(PCAD)is dependent on both genetic predisposition and traditional risk factors.Strategies for unraveling the genetic basis of PCAD have evolved with the advent of modern technologies.Genome-wide association studies(GWASs)have identified a considerable number of common genetic variants that are associated with PCAD.Most of these genetic variants are attributable to lipid and blood pressure-related single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs).The genetic variants that predispose individuals to developing PCAD may depend on race and ethnicity. Some characteristic genetic variants have been identified in Chinese populations.Although translating this genetic knowledge into clinical applications is still challenging, these genetic variants can be used for CAD phenotype identification, genetic prediction and therapy. In this article we will provide a comprehensive review of genetic variants detected by GWASs that are predicted to contribute to the development of PCAD.We will highlight recent findings regarding CAD-related genetic variants in Chinese populations and discuss the potential clinical utility of genetic variants for preventing and managing PCAD. | Haiming Wang Zifan Liu Junjie Shao Min Jiang Xuechun Lu Lejian Lin Lin Wang Qiang Xu Haomin Zhang Xin Li Jingjing Zhou Yundai Chen Ran Zhang | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,2: | 1

Antibacterial and Alkali-responsive Cationic Waterborne Polyurethane Based on Modification of Aloe Emodin显示文摘Cationic water-based polyurethane(CWPU)was synthesized to explore aloe-emodin modifies to obtain CWPU materials with better comprehensive performance. It provides a simple way to synthesize antibacterial waterborne polyurethane, which is to introduce the end-blocking group of herbal extracts into the structure. It contains synergistic antibacterial effect of herbal antibacterial and quaternary ammonium ion on Escherichia coli.It makes the material resist the erosion of bacterial, and increase the service life of materials. When the pH value of the environment changes, the UV absorbance of the aloe-emodin modified cationic water-based polyurethane(AE-CWPU)also changes. Therefore, within a certain detection range,AE-CWPU has great applications in the field of smart response materials. The modified thermodynamic properties have been improved, and the mechanical properties basically maintained the maximum stress, and the elongation at break was reduced. | XIONG Xiaoyan LI Xiaobin ZHU Zifan ZHANG Ending SHI Jun LU Mangeng | 2023 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,2: | 1
Novel Biomass-derived Hollow Carbons as Anode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries显示文摘A novel hollow carbon derived from biomass lotus-root has been prepared by a one-step carbonization method. The carbon anode obtained at 900℃ showed the best electrochemical performance, corresponding to a high specific capacity of 445 mA·h/g at 0.1 C,as well as excellent cycling stability after 500 cycles.Further investigation exhibits that the lithium storage of hollow carbon involves Li^(+) adsorption in the defect sites and Li^(+) insertion. The results showed that the intrinsic structure of lotus root can inspire us to prepare biomass carbon with a hollow structure as an excellent anode for lithium-ion batteries. | WU Ziye LI Zifan CHOU Shulei LIANG Xiaoyu | 2023 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,2: | 1

Immunization coverage, knowledge, satisfaction, and associated factors of non-National Immunization Program vaccines among migrant and left-behind families in China:evidence from Zhejiang and Henan provinces显示文摘Background Migrant and left-behind families are vulnerable in health services utilization, but little is known about their disparities in immunization of non-National Immunization Program(NIP)vaccines. This study aims to evaluate the immunization coverage, knowledge, satisfaction, and associated factors of non-NIP vaccines among local and migrant families in the urban areas and non-left-behind and left-behind families in the rural areas of China. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in urban areas of Zhejiang and rural areas of Henan in China.A total of 1648 caregivers of children aged 1-6 years were interviewed face-to-face by a pre-designed online questionnaire, and their families were grouped into four types:local urban,migrant,non-left-behind,and left-behind.Non-NIP vaccines includedHemophilus influenza b(Hib)vaccine, varicella vaccine, rotavirus vaccine, enterovirus 71 vaccine(EV71)and 13-valent pneumonia vaccine(PCV13).Log-binomial regression models were used to calculate prevalence ratios(PRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)for the difference on immunization coverage of children, and knowledge and satisfaction of caregivers among families. The network models were conducted to explore the interplay of immunization coverage, knowledge, and satisfaction.Logistic regression models with odds ratios(ORs)and 95%CIs were used to estimate the associated factors of non-NIP vaccination. Results The immunization coverage of all non-NIP vaccines and knowledge of all items of local urban families was the highest, followed by migrant,non-left-behind and left-behind families.Compared with local urban children,thePRs(95%CIs)for getting all vaccinated were 0.65(0.52-0.81),0.29(0.22-0.37)and 0.14(0.09-0.21)among migrant children,non-left-behind children and left-behind children, respectively. The coverage-knowledge-satisfaction network model showed the core node was the satisfaction of vaccination schedule.Non-NIP vaccination was associated with characteristics of both children and caregivers, including age of children(>2 years-OR:1.69,95%CI:1.07-2.68 for local urban children;2.67,1.39-5.13 for migrant children;3.09,1.23-7.76 for non-left-behind children);and below caregivers’characteristics:family role(parents:0.37,0.14-0.99 for non-left-behind children),age(≤35 years:7.27,1.39-37.94 for non-left-behind children),sex(female:0.49,0.30-0.81 for local urban children;0.31,0.15-0.62 for non-left-behind children),physical health(more than average:1.58,1.07-2.35 for local urban children)and non-NIP vaccines knowledge(good:0.45,0.30-0.68 for local urban children;7.54,2.64-21.50 for left-behind children). Conclusions There were immunization disparities in non-NIP vaccines among migrant and left-behind families compared with their local counterparts.Non-NIP vaccination promotion strategies, including education on caregivers, and optimization of the immunization information system, should be delivered particularly among left-behind and migrant families. | Yaguan Zhou Duanhui Li Yuan Cao Fenhua Lai Yu Wang Qian Long Zifan Zhang Chuanbo An Xiaolin Xu | 2023 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,5: | 0
The benefits of PCSK9 inhibitors in patients with acute coronary syndrome:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9(PSCK9)inhibitors have been beneficial for many patients with hyperlipidemia. The objective of this study was to investigate the benefit of PSCK9 inhibitors in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:We systematically searched PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane Clinical Trials(published before January 2023;no language restriction)to compare the treatment of patients with ACS using PCSK9 inhibitors and placebo. The primary end points were major adverse cardiovascular events, nonfatal myocardial infarction, cardiogenic death, stroke, hospitalization for recurrent ACS,and coronary revascularization.Fixed-or random-effects models were used to assess the aggregated data. Results:Of the 1686 identified studies,5 were eligible and included in our analysis(of a total of 38,005 participants,18,609 cases were placed in the PCSK9 inhibitor treatment group and 19,396 cases in the placebo group).Compared with the placebo group,PCSK9 inhibitors significantly reduced the major adverse cardiovascular events(odds ratio[OR]:0.83;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.77–0.88;P<0.00001)for patients following ACS.The incidence of nonfatal myocardial infarction(relative risk:0.80;95%CI:0.74–0.87;P<0.00001),cardiovascular death(OR:0.96;95%CI:0.83–1.10;P=0.56),stroke(OR:0.74;95%CI:0.63–0.88;P=0.0007),hospitalization for recurrent ACS(OR:0.57;95%CI:0.40–0.83;P=0.003),or coronary revascularization(OR:0.82;95%CI:0.76–0.88;P<0.00001)all demonstrated a significant decrease in the comparison between the 2 groups. Conclusion:This meta-analysis demonstrated that treatment with PCSK9 inhibitors in patients with ACS reduced the probability of multiple cardiovascular events and improved patient prognosis. | Guanzhao Zhang Shuting Chang Faming Zhao Xiangfeng Guan Zifan Nie Wenhao Liu Bo Li | 2024 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2024,4,1: | 0
Functional annotation map of natural compounds in traditional Chinese medicines library: TCMs with myocardial protection as a case显示文摘The chemical complexity of traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs) makes the active and functional annotation of natural compounds challenging. Herein, we developed the TCMs-Compounds Functional Annotation platform(TCMs-CFA) for large-scale predicting active compounds with potential mechanisms from TCM complex system, without isolating and activity testing every single compound one by one. The platform was established based on the integration of TCMs knowledge base, chemome profiling, and high-content imaging. It mainly included:(1) selection of herbal drugs of target based on TCMs knowledge base;(2) chemome profiling of TCMs extract library by LC-MS;(3) cytological profiling of TCMs extract library by high-content cell-based imaging;(4) active compounds discovery by combining each mass signal and multi-parametric cell phenotypes;(5) construction of functional annotation map for predicting the potential mechanisms of lead compounds. In this stud TCMs with myocardial protection were applied as a case study, and validated for the feasibility and utility of the platform. Seven frequently used herbal drugs(Ginseng, etc.) were screened from 100,000 TCMs formulas for myocardial protection and subsequently prepared as a library of 700 extracts. By using TCMs-CFA platform, 81 lead compounds, including 10 novel bioactive ones, were quickly identified by correlating 8089mass signals with 170,100 cytological parameters from an extract library. The TCMs-CFA platform described a new evidence-led tool for the rapid discovery process by data mining strategies, which is valuable for novel lead compounds from TCMs. All computations are done through Python and are publicly available on GitHub. | Xudong Xing Mengru Sun Zifan Guo Yongjuan Zhao Yuru Cai Ping Zhou Huiying Wang Wen Gao Ping Li Hua Yang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9: | 0
Two-parameter-dependent Drag Coefficient Over Sea Surface by Turbulent Modeling显示文摘A new model accounting for both turbulence and sea state effects has been proposed in the current paper to describe momentum exchange through air-sea interface. While long wave components mainly change air flow profile, short wave components exert their influences on the momentum exchange via turbulent stress, which leads to the growth of drag coefficients by a factor of two in young wave age circumstances. As a typical case study, we have considered neutral ABL over a representative regular wave with roughness due to short capillary waves riding over it. The results by the present model are in reasonable agreement with Maat’s analysis numerically fitted by HEXMAX data and Janssen’s results. Two parameter dependence of drag coefficient can resolve the existing discrepency between theory and observations. | Jiachun LI and Zifan ZHANG (Institute of mechanics, CAS, Beijing 100080, China) | 1999 | Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation1999,4,1: | 0
Thermally insulating and fire-retardant bio-mimic structural composites with a negative Poisson's ratio for battery protection显示文摘Battery safety has attracted considerable attention worldwide due to the rapid development of wearable electronics and the steady increase in the production and use of electric vehicles. As battery failures are often associated with mechanical-thermal coupled behaviors, protective shielding materials with excellent mechanical robustness and flame-retardant properties are highly desired to mitigate thermal runaway. However, most of the thermal insulating materials are not strong enough to protect batteries from mechanical abuse, which is one of the most critical scenarios with catastrophic consequences. Here, inspired by wood,we have developed an effective approach to engineer a hierarchical nanocomposite via self-assembly of calcium silicate hydrate and polyvinyl alcohol polymer chains(referred as CSH wood). The versatile protective material CSH wood demonstrates an unprecedented combination of light weight(0.018 g cm-3),high stiffness(204 MPa in the axial direction),negative Poisson's ratio(-0.15),remarkable toughness(6.67×105 J m-3),superior thermal insulation(0.0204 W m-1 K-1 in the radial direction),and excellent fire retardancy(UL94-V0).When applied as a protective cover or a protective layer within battery packages, the tough CSH wood can resist high-impact load and block heat diffusion to block or delay the spread of fire, therefore significantly reducing the risk of property damage or bodily injuries caused by battery explosions. This work provides new pathways for fabricating advanced thermal insulating materials with large scalability and demonstrates great potential for the protection of electronic devices. | Fengyin Du Zuquan Jin Ruizhe Yang Menglong Hao Jiawei Wang Gang Xu Wenqiang Zuo Zifan Geng Hao Pan Tian Li Wei Zhang Wei She | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,12: | 0
