| 1 | Antidiabetic activity of methanolic bark extract of Alhizia odoratissima Benth.in alloxan induced diabetic albino mice显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic potential of methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima Benth.bark in alloxan induced diabetic mice.Methods:Group-Ⅰ(normal control) mice received only basal diet without any treatment.In Group-Ⅱ(Diabetic control) mice,diabetes was induced by alloxan(150 mg/kg i.p.) and received only Tween 80.5%v/v in normal saline. Group-Ⅲand Group-Ⅳmice received metformin(10 mg/kg) and gliclazide(10 mg/kg) as standard drugs.Group-ⅤandⅥmice received methanolic bark extract of Albizia odoratissima at doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight p.o.,respectively.Results:The results of the study indicates that Albizia odoratissima bark extract significantly(P<0.01) reduced the blood sugar level.The bark extract also significantly reduced the levels of serum cholesterol,triglycerides, serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase,serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase,alkaline phosphatase and decreases level of total proteins in alloxan induced diabetic mice.Conclusions: Methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima has protective effects on the protection of vital tissues(pancreas,kidney,liver,heart and spleen),thereby reducing the causation of diabetes in experimental animals. | Dinesh Kumar Sunil Kumar Sonia Kohli Renu Arya Jyoti Gupta | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011，4，11： | 7 |
| 2 | Comparative investigation of coal-and oil-fired boilers based on emission factors,ozone and secondary organic aerosol formation potentials of VOCs显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the important precursors of the tropospheric ozone(O3)and secondary organic aerosols(SOA),both of which are known to harm human health and disrupt the earth’s climate system.In this study,VOC emission factors,O3 and SOA formation potentials were estimated for two types of industrial boilers:coal-fired boilers(n=3)and oil-fired boilers(n=3).Results showed that EVOCs concentrations were more than nine times higher for oil-fire d boilers compared to those for coal-fired boilers.Emission factors ofΣVOCs were found to be higher for oil-fired boilers(9.26-32.83 mg-VOC/kg)than for coal-fired boilers(1.57-4.13 mg-VOC/kg).Alkanes and aromatics were obtained as the most abundant groups in coal-fired boilers,while oxygenated organics and aromatics were the most contributing groups in oil-fired boilers.Benzene,n-hexane and o-ethyl toluene were the abundant VOC species in coal-fired boiler emissions,whereas toluene was the most abundant VOC species emitted from oil-fired boilers.O3 and SOA formation potentials were found 12 and 18 times,respectively,higher for oil-fired than for coal-fired boilers.Total OFP ranged from 3.99 to 11.39 mg-O3/kg for coal-fired boilers.For oil-fired boilers,total OFP ranged from 36.16 to 131.93 mg-O3/kg.Moreover,total secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP)ranged from 65.4 to 122.5 mg-SOA/kg and 779.9 to 2252.5 mg-SOA/kg for the coal-fired and oil-fired boilers,respectively. | Hsi-Hsien Yang Sunil Kumar Gupta Narayan Babu Dhital Lin-Chi Wang Suresh Pandian Elumalai | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020，32，6： | 6 |
| 3 | Formulation and evaluation of novel stomach specific floating microspheres bearing famotidine for treatment of gastric ulcer and their radiographic study显示文摘Objective:To develop and characterize multiple-unit-type oral floating microsphere of famotidine to prolong gastric residence time and to target stomach ulcer.Methods:The floating microspheres were prepared by modified solvent evaporation method,Eudragil S-100 was used as polymer.Microspheres were characterized for the micromeritic properties,floating behavior,entrapment efficiency and scanning electron microscopy.The invitro release studies and floating behavior were studied in simulated gastric fluid at pH 1.2.Different drug release kinetics models were also applied for all the batches.Selected formulations were also subjected for X-ray radiographic study.Results:Floating microspheres were successfully prepared by modified solvent evaporation technique.Microspheres showed passable flow properties.The maximum yield of microspheres was up to(95.11±0.35)%.On the basis of optical microscopy particle size range was found to be ranging from(52.18±182.00) to(91.64±5.16) μm.Scanning electron microscopy showed their spherical size,perforated smooth surface and a cavity inside microspheres.Microspheres were capable to float up to 20 h in simulated gastric fluid.X-ray radiographic studies also proved its better retention in the stomach.Conclusions:On the basis of the results,such dosage forms may be a good candidate for stomach targeting and may be dispensed in hard gelatin capsules. | Rishikesh Gupta Sunil Kumar Prajapati Snigdha Pattnaik Peeyush Bhardwaj | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014，4，9： | 2 |

| 15 | 一处罕见的感染性胰腺坏死的肝外液体积聚区:腹股沟阴囊区显示文摘Severe acute pancreatitis often leads to pancreatic and peripancreatic collections but,rarely,it can lead to collections at sites remote from the pancreas.Three male patients presented with abdominal pain and inguinoscrotal swelling.They were initially misdiagnosed with obstructed inguinal hernia,epididymo-orchitis and hydrocele,respectively.Later,their diagnosis of acute pancreatitis was revealed on laparotomy in one patient and on computed tomography(CT)in the remaining two patients.All these cases had extensive peripancreatic necrosis and paracolic collections tracking along the psoas muscle,downwards towards the pelvis.These collections were initially managed by percutaneous drainage and saline irrigation as a part of the‘step-up’approach.Two of these patients required open necrosectomy,while all required incision and drainage of inguinoscrotal collections.All the patients were discharged in satisfactory condition.Inguinoscrotal swelling is unusual as a first presentation of acute pancreatitis.A high index of suspicion,with careful study of patient’s history and examination along with CT,may provide an accurate diagnosis.Local drainage may be required to control sepsis and also provide an egress route for intra-abdominal collections. | Saurabh Kalia Rahul Gupta Sunil DShenvi Hemanth Kumar Rajesh Gupta Mandeep Kang Surinder Singh Rana Deepak Kumar Bhasin Rajinder Singh | 2016 | Gastroenterology Report2016，4，3： | 0 |

| 17 | Laparoscopic iliopubic tract repair for pediatric inguinal hernia has very low recurrence: an Indian experience显示文摘Background The aim of this study is to document results of laparoscopic iliopubic tract(IPT)repair for inguinal hernia in the pediatric age group.Methods Hospital records of 190 children who underwent IPT repair between January 2015 and January 2020 were analyzed retrospectively for demographic details,variations between clinical,radiological and laparoscopic diagnosis,associated pathologies,operative time,hospital stay,postoperative complications and follow-up.The internal ring was narrowed by approximating IPT to conjoint tendon using 3-0 polypropylene continuous or interrupted suture.Results In total,238 IPT repairs were done under general anesthesia in 190 children aged between 1 and 17 years.7.9%of children had phimosis,and three children had hydrocele.Three patients had undescended testis and another three IPT repairs were done in cases who presented with appendicitis.Contralateral patent processus vaginalis(CPPV)was detected at the time of laparoscopy in 18.3%of cases.Thus far,166 children had been followed,and no recurrence was observed in any of these 96 of whom have completed more than 3 years after their surgery.However,two patients developed hernia on the contralateral side.Conclusions Laparoscopy is beneficial to pick up CPPV.Laparoscopic IPT repair for pediatric inguinal hernia is reproducible and safe with the least recurrence reported thus far.However,further follow-up is needed.Moreover,development of contralateral hernia needs to be investigated. | Sunil Kumar Nayak Ramakrishnan Parthasarathi Raghavendra Gupta G H V Subbaiah Rajapandian Nalankilli Vaiyapurigoundar Palanisamy Chinnusamy Palanivelu | 2020 | World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2020，3，3： | 0 |
