1Epidemiology, causes, clinical manifestation and diagnosis, prevention and control of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) during the early outbreak period: a scoping review显示文摘Background:The coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has been identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness in Wuhan,Hubei Province,China beginning in December 2019.As of 31 January 2020,this epidemic had spread to 19 countries with 11791 confirmed cases, including 213 deaths. The World Health Organization has declared it a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Methods:A scoping review was conducted following the methodological framework suggested by Arksey and O'Malley. In this scoping review,65 research articles published before 31 January 2020 were analyzed and discussed to better understand the epidemiology, causes, clinical diagnosis, prevention and control of this virus. The research domains, dates of publication, journal language, authors'affiliations, and methodological characteristics were included in the analysis. All the findings and statements in this review regarding the outbreak are based on published information as listed in the references. Results:Most of the publications were written using the English language(89.2%).The largest proportion of published articles were related to causes(38.5%)and a majority(67.7%)were published by Chinese scholars.Research articles initially focused on causes, but over time there was an increase of the articles related to prevention and control.Studies thus far have shown that the virus7 origination is in connection to a seafood market in Wuhan, but specific animal associations have not been confirmed.Reported symptoms include fever, cough, fatigue, pneumonia, headache, diarrhea, hemoptysis, and dyspnea.Preventive measures such as masks, hand hygiene practices, avoidance of public contact, case detection, contact tracing, and quarantines have been discussed as ways to reduce transmission. To date,no specific antiviral treatment has proven effective;hence, infected people primarily rely on symptomatic treatment and supportive care. Conclusions:There has been a rapid surge in research in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.During this early period, published research primarily explored the epidemiology, causes, clinical manifestation and diagnosis,as well as prevention and control of the novel coronavirus.Although these studies are relevant to control the current public emergency, more high-quality research is needed to provide valid and reliable ways to manage this kind of public health emergency in both the short-and long-term.Sasmita Poudel Adhikari Sha Meng Yu-Ju Wu Yu-Ping Mao Rui-Xue Ye Qing-Zhi Wang Chang Sun Sean Sylvia Scott Rozelle Hein Raat Huan Zhou 2020Infectious Diseases of Poverty2020,9,2:28

12Application of a simplified Grey Wolf optimization technique for adaptive fuzzy PID controller design for frequency regulation of a distributed power generation system显示文摘A Simplified Grey Wolf Optimizer(SGWO)is suggested for resolving optimization tasks. The simplification in the original Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO)method is introduced by ignoring the worst category wolves while giving priority to the better wolves during the search process. The advantage of the presented SGWO over GWO is a better solution taking less execution time and is demonstrated by taking unimodal, multimodal, and fixed dimension test functions. The results are also contrasted to the Gravitational Search Algorithm, the Particle Swarm Optimization, and the Sine Cosine Algorithm and this shows the superiority of the proposed SGWO technique.Practical application in a Distributed Power Generation System(DPGS)with energy storage is then considered by designing an Adaptive Fuzzy PID(AFPID)controller using the suggested SGWO method for frequency control. The DPGS contains renewable generation such as photovoltaic, wind, and storage elements such as battery and flywheel,in addition to plug-in electric vehicles. It is demonstrated that the SGWO method is superior to the GWO method in the optimal controller design task.It is also seen that SGWO based AFPID controller is highly efficacious in regulating the frequency compared to the standard PID controller.A sensitivity study is also performed to examine the impact of the unpredictability in the parameters of the investigated system on system performance. Finally, the novelty of the paper is demonstrated by comparing with the existing publications in an extensively used two-area test system.Sasmita Padhy Sidhartha Panda 2021Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2021,6,1:1

17Interactive Effects of Elevated CO_2 and Ozone on Leaf Thermotolerance in Field-grown Glycine max显示文摘Humans are increasing atmospheric CO2,ground-level ozone (O3),and mean and acute high temperatures.Laboratory studies show that elevated CO2 can increase thermotolerance of photosynthesis in C3 plants.O3-related oxidative stress may offset benefits of elevated CO2 during heat-waves.We determined effects of elevated CO2 and O3 on leaf thermotolerance of field-grown Glycine max (soybean,C3).Photosynthetic electron transport (et) was measured in attached leaves heated in situ and detached leaves heated under ambient CO2 and O3.Heating decreased et,which O3 exacerbated.Elevated CO2 prevented O3-related decreases during heating, but only increased et under ambient O3 in the field.Heating decreased chlorophyll and carotenoids, especially under elevated CO2.Neither CO2 nor O3 affected heat-shock proteins.Heating increased catalase (except in high O3) and Cu/Zn-superoxide dismutase (SOD),but not Mn-SOD; CO2 and O3 decreased catalase but neither SOD.Soluble carbohydrates were unaffected by heating, but increased in elevated CO2.Thus,protection of photosynthesis during heat stress by elevated CO2 occurs in field-grown soybean under ambient O3,as in the lab,and high CO2 limits heat damage under elevated O3,but this protection is likely from decreased photorespiration and stomatal conductance rather than production of heat-stress adaptations.Sasmita Mishra Scott A.
