1北方旱区保护性耕作对农田土壤水分的影响显示文摘土壤水分是中国北方旱区农业生产的主要限制因子,研究保护性耕作技术体系下土壤水分的动态变化,明确不同耕作模式下的水分平衡规律,对于选择适宜的保护性耕作技术,提高北方旱区土壤水分的利用效率具有重要的指导意义。该文在2a田间试验的基础上采用DSSAT模型对4个不同保护性耕作处理的土壤体积含水量、水分平衡以及水分利用效率进行了模拟和检验。结果表明干旱年份保护性耕作处理土壤体积含水量较传统耕作高,RMSE误差在0.025~0.063;干旱年份传统耕作土壤储水量减少最多,为144.6mm,降水较多年份减少也最多,为46.1mm;干旱年份水分利用效率1.52~1.78kg/m3,免耕覆盖水分利用效率最高,降水较多年份水分利用效率1.70~1.71kg/m3,各处理间差异并不显著。研究结果为保护性耕作技术对农田土壤水分的影响研究提供了理论依据。杜建涛 何文清 Vinay Nangia 严昌荣 Mobin Ahmad 刘爽 刘勤 2008农业工程学报2008,24,11:50
2Hepatitis B virus genotypes:an overview显示文摘BACKGROUND:Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a major cause of mortality and morbidity globally.The quest continues to identify viral factors that influence disease progression and severity as well as responses to treatment of HBV infection.Based on variations in HBV,the virus has been divided into a number of genotypes. DATA SOURCES:Review of published literature on HBV genotypes. RESULTS:HBV genotypes are likely to be important in determining the severity and progression of HBV-induced liver disease as well as responses to different anti-viral agents. 3Hepatitis E virus is a leading cause of acute-on-chronic liver disease:experience from a tertiary centre in Bangladesh显示文摘BACKGROUND:Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF) is common in Bangladesh.Acute viral E hepatitis is sporadically encountered in this country each year,with a rising incidence in the rainy season.This study aimed to identify the etiology of ACLF in Bangladesh. METHODS:In this retrospective study,69 ACLF patients were included.They presented to our department at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka.History of diseases was recorded and appropriate investigations were conducted in all patients. RESULTS:Acute hepatitis E virus(HEV)infection was positive in 21.7%(15/69)of the patients,while 14.5% (10/69)had septicemia.Upper gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage was seen in 4.3%of the patients(3/69),while another 4.3%(3/69)had a positive history for alcohol or drugs.None of the patients tested positive for hepatitis A virus infection and no evidence of hepatitis B virus flare was found in any patient.No specific cause for ACLF could be identified. CONCLUSIONS:Acute HEV infection is a leading cause of ACLF in Bangladesh.Many patients were thought to have decompensation of cirrhosis,but subsequently were recognized as having ACLF by a retrospective review according to the definition of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver Working Party Meeting on ACLF in New Delhi in early 2008.Mamun-Al Mahtab Salimur Rahman Mobin Khan Md.Fazal Karim 2009Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2009,8,1:7
4e-antigen-negative chronic hepatitis B in Bangladesh显示文摘BACKGROUND:Bangladesh is a densely populated country where about 10 million people are chronically infected with hepatitis B virus(HBV).The aim of the present study was to evaluate the biochemical,virological and histological characteristics of HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B(CHB). METHODS:Patients were included in this study if they were chronically infected with HBV with detectable DNA.The patients who were co-infected with human immunodeficiency virus,hepatitis delta virus or hepatitis C virus,and previously subjected to antiviral treatment,and those with hepatocellular carcinoma were excluded.The study was conducted during the period of January 2001 to December 2007.During this period 2617 patients with CHB were studied.HBeAg-positive cases were included to compare the characteristics.Among them,237 cases underwent liver biopsy. RESULTS:2296 patients(87.7%)were male,with a mean age of 28.9±13.7 years.2375 patients(90.8%)had CHB,and 242(9.2%)were cirrhotic.HBV DNA levels were 7.6±1.5 copies/ml,ALT was 111.3±212.5 U/L,and AST was 91.5± 148.9 U/L.The number of HBeAg-negative CHB cases was 1039(39.7%).HBeAg-negative patients with a lower DNA load were older,and they had more fibrotic changes in the liver than HBeAg-positive patients.The two groups did not differ in necroinflammatory activity,but the former had lower ALT and AST values.Cirrhosis was more common in e-antigen-negative patients.CONCLUSIONS:e-antigen-negative CHB patients are older and have more hepatic fibrosis patients than HBeAg-positive patients,although they have similar necroinflammatory activity.Nooruddin Ahmad Shahinul Alam Golam Mustafa Abul Barkat Muhammad Adnan Rahat Hasan Baig Mobin Khan 2008Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2008,7,4:6
5Etiology of fulminant hepatic failure:experience from a tertiary hospital in Bangladesh显示文摘BACKGROUND: Fulminant hepatic failure (FHF) is not uncommon in our clinical practice in Bangladesh. There was a rise in acute hepatitis E virus (HEV) in Bangladesh after the 2004 floods. At that time, most of the country was under water for more than a month, leading to sewage contamination of the water supply. The aim of this study was to investigate the etiology of FHF in Bangladesh. METHODS: In this retrospective study, 23 patients with FHF who presented with severe impairment of hepato- cellular function (i.e. encephalopathy, coagulopathy and jaundice) within 6 months of onset of symptoms were included. There were 17 men and 6 women, aged from 18 to 32 years. Four of the women were pregnant. Patients were tested for markers for common hepatotrophic viruses. A relevant history was taken and the Patient Record Book of the Unit was reviewed. RESULTS: 56.52% patients (13/23) had HEV infection, and all were anti-HEV IgM-positive tested by ELISA. HBV infection was detected in 34.78% patients (8/23), all of whom were tested positive for either HBsAg or anti-HBs IgM by ELISA. 8.7% patients (2/23) had a positive history for intake of alcohol and/or drugs. CONCLUSIONS: Acute HEV infection is the leading cause of FHF in Bangladesh. Sewage contamination of the water supply following floods contributes to a higher incidence of HEV infection. 6Epidemiology of hepatitis B virus in Bangladeshi general population显示文摘BACKGROUND:Hepatitis B virus(HBV)is encountered sporadically the year round in Bangladesh.It results in a wide range of liver diseases,with asymptomatic acute hepatitis at one end to hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)at the other end of the spectrum. METHODS:All 1018 individuals of different age groups and sex with varied religious,educational and social backgrounds were tested for HBsAg by ELISA.The positive samples were further tested by ELISA for HBeAg.Before testing,blood samples were preserved at-20℃.The study was conducted in a semi-urban location on the outskirts of Dhaka. RESULTS:Of the 1018 individuals,5.5%tested positive for HBsAg.None were tested positive for anti-HCV.Among the HBsAg-positive population,58.93%were HBeAg- positive and the rest 41.07%HBeAg-negative.There was a male predominance and those who were tested positive were mostly between 16 and 50 years of age.Major risk factors for exposure to HBV appeared to be injudicious use of injectable medications,treatment by unqualified, traditional practitioners,mass-vaccination against cholera and smallpox,barbers and body piercing. 7CFD modeling to study the effect of particle size on dispersion in 20l explosion chamber: An overview显示文摘Mine disasters occur predominantly due to methane or coal dust explosion or a combination of both.Among the top ten worst coal mine disasters in India, nine are due to coal dust explosion. The current paper describes a general overview of the parameters causing dispersion leading to coal dust explosion,and computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation study to observe the effects of particle size on dispersion in Indian coal mines. Turbulent kinetic energy(TKE) and velocity vector path of dust-air mixture and dust-free air were simulated to understand their effects on coal dust dispersion. The TKE contours and velocity vector paths for dust-free air were uniform and symmetrical due to resistance-free path available. The TKE contours and velocity vector paths for dust-air mixture shows the asymmetrical distribution of contours, due to entrainment of air with dust particles. Vortices were observed in velocity vector paths which gradually diminish on increment of time sequence. 9Review of preventive and constructive measures for coal mine explosions:An Indian perspective显示文摘Firedamp and coal dust explosion constitute a lion’s share in mine accidents in a global mining scenario.This paper reports a list of mine explosion disasters since last two decades,a critical review of the different prevention and constructive measures,and its recent development to avoid firedamp and coal dust explosion.Preventive legislation in core coal-producing countries,viz.China,USA,Australia,South Africa,and India related to firedamp and coal dust explosion are critically analysed.Accidents occurred due to explosion after Nationalisation of Coal Mines(1973)in India are listed.Prevention and constructive measures adopted in India are critically analysed with respect to the global mining scenario.Measures like methane credit concept,classification of mines/seams with respect to explosion risk zone,deflagration index;installation of automatic fire warning devices,canopy air curtain technology,explosion-prevention measures,such as fire-retardant materials,inhibitors,extinguishing agent,dust suppressor,and active explosion barrier are discussed in detail to avoid explosion and thereby adhering to zero accident policy due to coal mine explosion.Santosh Kumar Ray Asfar Mobin Khan Niroj Kumar Mohalik Debashish Mishra Somu Mandal Jai Krishna Pandey 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,3:2
10TGA/DSC study to characterise and classify coal seams conforming to susceptibility towards spontaneous combustion显示文摘Thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimeter(TGA/DSC)technique along with basic coal characteristics study is carried out for eighty coal samples of Indian coalfields,to determine spontaneous combustion propensity behaviour of coal.TGA study of coal samples indicates that there is an increase in the mass of coal samples in the temperature range 150-350℃,which may be due to oxygen adsorption and absorption.The correlation and principal component analysis states that the component of proximate analysis(M_(ad),VM_(d),FR,and VR)have an acceptable correlation with the TGA experiments results i.e.,Tgsh and Tgign.Multiple fixed nonlinear regression analysis shows that thermogravimetry(TG)experiment results Tgign may be the best index to categorise/classify the coal as per their susceptibility towards spontaneous combustion.The authors proposed four groups of classification as per their propensity towards spontaneous combustion depending upon the moisture(M_(ad)),volatile matter(VM_(d)),and TG ignition temperature from differential thermogravimetric(DTG)curve(Tgign)using hierarchal clustering analysis.The coal samples of different seams from Indian coalfield may be classified into four different clusters,viz.very highly/extremely susceptible(Tgign<260℃),highly susceptible(260℃≤Tgign<290℃),moderately susceptible(290℃≤Tgign≤320℃),and poorly susceptible(Tgign>320℃).The field observations and TGA/DSC experiment results with the following statistical analysis substantiate a similar assessment.Niroj Kumar Mohalik Somu Mandal Santosh Kumar Ray Asfar Mobin Khan Debashish Mishra Jai Krishna Pandey 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,1:2
11Economic modeling of mechanized and semi-mechanized rainfed wheat production systems using multiple linear regression model显示文摘Mathematical modeling of economic indices is a challenging topic in crop production systems.The present study aimed to model the economic indices of mechanized and semimechanized rainfed wheat production systems using various multiple linear regression models.The study area was Behshahr County located in the east of Mazandaran Province,Northern Iran.The statistical population included all wheat producers in Behshahr County in 2016/17 crop year.Five input variables were human labor,machinery,diesel fuel,chemical(chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides)costs,and the income was considered to be the output.The results showed that the cost of wheat production in the semimechanized system was higher than that of the mechanized system.In both systems,the highest cost was related to agricultural machinery input.Moreover,seed cost was lower in the mechanized system than that of the semi-mechanized system.The net return indicator was 993.68$ha1 and 626.71$ha1 for the mechanized and semi-mechanized systems,respectively.The average benefit to cost ratio was 3.46 and 2.40 for the mechanized and semi-mechanized systems,respectively,demonstrating the greater profitability of the mechanized system.The results of the evaluation of five types of regression models including the Cobb-Douglas,linear,2FI,quadratic and pure-quadratic for the mechanized and semi-mechanized production systems indicated that in the developed Cobb-Douglas model,the R2-value was higher than that of the quadratic model while RMSE and MAPE of the quadratic model were determined to be smaller than that of the Cobb-Douglas model.Therefore,the best model to investigate the relationship between input costs and the income of wheat production in both mechanized and semi-mechanized systems was the quadratic model.Mobin Amoozad-Khalili Reza Rostamian Mahdi Esmaeilpour-Troujeni Armaghan Kosari-Moghaddam 2020Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,1:2
