| 1 | 永兴岛白穗软珊瑚共附生放线菌筛选及部分活性次级代谢产物的鉴定显示文摘【目的】从白穗软珊瑚中分离和鉴定共附生放线菌,运用PCR技术对所分离的放线菌进行I型聚酮合酶(PKS)筛选,研究其次级代谢产物。【方法】使用11种培养基对白穗软珊瑚共附生放线菌进行分离、鉴定,构建16S rRNA基因系统发育进化树,以基于I型PKS的KS基因设计的简并引物对所分离放线菌进行基因筛选,对阳性菌株用3种培养基发酵检测,对目标菌株进行放大规模发酵分离鉴定次级代谢产物。【结果】从白穗软珊瑚中分离到20株共附生放线菌,包括链霉菌属10株、迪茨氏菌属2株和盐水孢菌属8株,筛选获得18株I型PKS阳性菌株,并从菌株Salinospora arenicola SH04中分离到化合物rifamycin S和rifamycin W。【结论】首次从珊瑚共附生环境中分离得到海洋专属性稀有放线菌盐水孢菌属,并以I型PKS基因筛选为指导,分离鉴定了聚酮类化合物rifamycins,为研究软珊瑚共附生可培养放线菌的多样性和基于基因筛选指导分离次级代谢产物提供了可靠依据。 | 马亮 张文军 朱义广 吴正超 Kumar Saurav 黄晖 张长生 | 2013 | 微生物学报2013,53,10: | 10 |
| 2 | Biosorption of Cd (Ⅱ) and Pb (Ⅱ) Ions by Aqueous Solutions of Novel Alkalophillic Streptomyces VITSVK5 spp. Biomass显示文摘Discharge of heavy metals from metal processing industries is known to have adverse effects on the environment.Bio-sorption of heavy metals by metabolically inactive biomass of microbial organisms is an innovative and alternative technology for removal of these pollutants from aqueous solution.The search of marine actinobacteria with potential heavy metal biosorption ability resulted in the identification of a novel alkalophilic Streptomyces VITSVK5 species.The biosorption property of Streptomyces VITSVK5 spp.was investigated by absorbing heavy metals Cadmium (Cd) and Lead (Pb).Physiochemical characteristics and trace metal concentration analysis of the backwater showed the concentrations of different metals were lead 13±2.1 μg L-1,cadmium 3.1±0.3μg L-1,zinc 8.4±2.6μg L-1 and copper 0.3±0.1μg L-1,whereas mercury was well below the detection limit.The effect of pH and biomass dosage on removal efficiency of heavy metal ions was also investigated.The optimum pH for maximal biosorption was 4.0 for Cd (II) and 5.0 for Pb (II) with 41% and 84% biosorption respectively.The biosorbent dosage was optimized as 3 g L-1 for both the trace metals.Fourier transform infrared absorption spectrum results indicated the chemical interactions of hydrogen atoms in carboxyl (–COOH),hydroxyl (–CHOH) and amine (–NH2) groups of biomass with the metal ions.This could be mainly involved in the biosorption of Cd (II) and Pb (II) onto Streptomyces VITSVK5 spp.The results of our study revealed Streptomyces metabolites could be used to develop a biosorbent for adsorbing metal ions from aqueous environments. | Kumar Saurav Krishnan Kannabiran | 2011 | Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,1: | 6 |

| 7 | Strength behaviour of sandstone subjected to polyaxial state of stress显示文摘The paper presents an experimental investigation on the strength behaviour of natural rock subjected to polyaxial state of stress. The polyaxial tests were conducted on cubical specimens of sandstone obtained from the Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh state of India, The specimens having nominal dimensions of100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm were tested using a polyaxial testing machine. Twenty-five combinations of intermediate and minor principal stresses were applied and the specimens were loaded till failure occurs. It was observed that the intermediate principal stress has a substantial effect on the strength of the Shivpuri sandstone. A database of rock strength under various combinations of σ_2 and σ_3 was obtained for the Shivpuri sandstone. The database was used to study the predictability of five most commonly used strength criterion. Root mean square error(RMSE), average absolute relative error percentage(AAREP) and coefficient of accordance(COA) were used as indices for the measure of goodness of fit. It was observed that the least error in the prediction was shown by modified Mohr Coulomb criterion followed by modified Weibols and Cook criterion. | 8 | Adherence to self-care practices, glycemic status and influencing factors in diabetes patients in a tertiary care hospital in Delhi显示文摘AIM To assess the adherence to self-care practices,glycemic status and influencing factors in diabetes patients.METHODS This was a cross-sectional observational analysis of baseline data from a quasi-experimental study conducted among 375 diabetic patients aged between 18 to 65years at a major public tertiary care centre in New Delhi,India during February-September’2016.The Summary of Diabetes Self-care activities measure was used to assess medical adherence in diabetic patients.Open ended questions were used to identify facilitators and inhibitors of medical adherence.RESULTS Mean age of the study subjects was 49.7±10.2 years.A total of 201 men and 174 women were enrolled in the study.Three hundred nine(82.4%)subjects were adherent to their intake of anti-diabetic medication.On binary logistic regression,education level below primary school completion and absence of hypertensioncomorbidity were found to be independent predictors of medication non-adherence.Sociocultural resistance was an important factor impeding outdoor exercise among younger women.Knowledge of diabetes in the study subjects was low with mean score of 3.1±2(maximum score=10).Suboptimal glycemic control was found in259(69%)subjects which was significantly more likely in patients on Insulin therapy compared to those on Oral Hypoglycemic agents alone(P<0.006).DISCUSSION Our study found a large gap existed between selfreported medication adherence and glycemic control.This suggests the need for enhanced physician focus for diabetic patient management. | Saurav Basu Suneela Garg Nandini Sharma M Meghachandra Singh Sandeep Garg | 2018 | World Journal of Diabetes2018,9,5: | 4 |
| 9 | Triaxial strength behaviour of rockmass satisfying Modified Mohr-Coulomb and Generalized Hoek-Brown criteria显示文摘The triaxial strength of twenty rockmass types was predicted using two non-linear triaxial strength criteria for rockmass i.e. Modified Mohr-Coulomb(MMC) criterion and Generalized Hoek-Brown(GHB)criterion. Four different rockmass classification systems were used for the calculation of MMC criterion parameters while only GSI classification system has been used for calculation of GHB parameters. The representative value of the uniaxial compressive strength and elastic modulus of rockmass have been estimated using probabilistic approach. A hypothetical case of an unsupported tunnel has been analyzed considering both MMC and GHB criteria. The analysis was done using the convergence-confinement method with two different approaches. The first approach predicts the tunnel response using GHB criterion directly. The second approach predicts the tunnel response using equivalent Mohr-Coulomb parameters obtained by linearization of triaxial data points obtained from MMC and GHB criteria. The tunnel response has been estimated in terms of radius of plastic zone, tunnel convergence and tunnel convergence strain. For very poor rockmasses the tunnel response predicted by MMC criterion is less than that predicted by GHB criterion. For poor and fair rockmass, the tunnel response estimated considering both the criteria are comparable except for few cases. | 10 | Association of vitamin D and knee osteoarthritis in younger individuals显示文摘BACKGROUND The incidence of primary osteoarthritis knee is gradually increasing among young individuals.The increasing prevalence of obesity,sedentary lifestyle,sporting activity,and vitamin D deficiency(VDD)has been hypothesized for this shifting disease trend.This study was designed to look for the association of serum vitamin D among these young arthritic patients.AIM To look for the association of serum vitamin D in younger knee osteoarthritis(KOA)patients.METHODS In a 2-year observational study,146 non-obese KOA patients of 35-60 years were evaluated clinically(Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score,KOOS)and radiologically(Kellegren-Lawrence stage,KL).The serum 25(OH)D level of these patients and 146 normal healthy individuals of same age group were estimated.RESULTS Both the groups were comparable in terms of age and sex.The average serum 25(OH)D level in healthy individuals and KOA patients was 45.83 ng/mL and 34.58 ng/mL,respectively(P<0.001).Inadequate serum 25(OH)D level(<30 ng/mL)was found in 46.57%of KOA patients and 24%of normal healthy participants indicating a significant positive association(odds ratio 2.77,95%CI:1.67-4.54,P<0.001).The 25(OH)D level in KL grade I,II,III and IV was 43.40,30.59,31.56 and 33.93 ng/mL respectively(no difference,P=0.47).Similarly,the KOOS score in sufficient,insufficient and deficient groups were 65.31,60.36 and 65.31,respectively(no difference,P=0.051).CONCLUSION The serum 25(OH)D level is significantly low in younger KOA patients.However,the clinical and radiological severities have no association with serum vitamin D level. | Sujit Kumar Tripathy Amrit Gantaguru Saurav Narayan Nanda Sandeep Velagada Anand Srinivasan Manaswini Mangaraj | 2020 | World Journal of Orthopedics2020,11,10: | 2 |
| 11 | Diabetes self-care in primary health facilities in India-challenges and the way forward显示文摘India has approximately 73 million people living with diabetes and another 37 million with prediabetes while nearly 47% of the diabetes cases are undiagnosed. The high burden of poor glycemic control and early onset of complications with associated economic costs indicates a high prevalence of poor self-management practices. It is well-established that achieving patient-centered primary care consistent with a chronic care model ensures optimum diabetes self-management support and improves long-term clinical and health outcomes in diabetes patients. The public sector primary care system in India provides services free of cost to beneficiaries but lacks patient-centered care that undermines diabetes selfmanagement education and support. Furthermore, factors like poor patient knowledge of diabetes, suboptimal medication adherence, persistent clinical inertia, lack of data for monitoring and evaluation through clinical audit worsens the standards of diabetes care in primary care settings of India. There is a need for government initiatives to be directed towards the provision of comprehensive outpatient care that is inclusive of uninterrupted supply of drugs, provision of essential laboratory investigators, training and availability of qualified diabetes educators and availability of specialist support when required.
