| 1 | Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction Stir Lap Welded Aluminum Alloy AA2014显示文摘Friction stir lap welds were produced in 3 mm thick Alclad sheets of Al alloy 2014-T4 using two different tools (with triangular and threaded taper cylindrical pins). The effects of tool geometry on weld microstructure, lap-shear performance and failure mode were investigated. The pin profile was found to significantly influence the hook geometry, which in turn strongly influenced the joint strength and the failure mode. Welds produced in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad sheets by using triangular and threaded taper cylindrical tools exhibited an average lap-shear failure load of 16.5 and 19.5 kN, respectively, while the average failure load for standard riveted joints was only 3.4 kN. Welds produced in alloy 2014-T6 Alclad sheets and in alloy 2014-T4 bare sheets (i.e., no Alclad) were comparatively evaluated with those produced in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad sheets. While the welds made (with threaded taper cylindrical tool) in T6 and T4 conditions showed very similar lap-shear failure loads, the joint efficiency of the welds made in T6 condition (43%) was considerably lower (because of the higher base material strength) than those made in T4 condition (51%). The Alclad layers were found to present no special problems in friction stir lap welding. Welds made with triangular tool in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad and bare sheets showed very similar lap-shear failure loads. | 2 | 高效义齿清洁剂去除菌斑染色的体外实验研究显示文摘目的:以食物色素染色模型为基础,对一种新型浸泡式义齿清洁剂去除染色的效果进行量化评估。方法:为了便于形成均一的菌斑生长表面及后期的染色测量,本研究采用聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯树脂片片来模拟义齿表面。树脂片经过消毒灭菌后浸泡于ToddHewitt肉汤培养基和人工唾液中培养18h(37℃)。处理后的树脂片取出晾干后被分为实验组和对照组,均置于咖啡、茶、蓝莓酱和红酒混合液中染色18h。使用分光光谱仪(PR650)定量测量染色前树脂片的颜色。染色后的实验组和对照组树脂片分别用义齿清洁泡腾片(Polident)和蒸馏水中浸泡5min(150mL水,40℃)。最后再次使用PR650测量树脂片颜色参数,并计算试样间色差。结果:配对t检验显示实验组和对照组的L*,a*,b*3个颜色参数以及总色差ΔE之间存在显著性差异(P<0.001)。义齿清洁泡腾片(Polident)显著地清除了色素。结论:义齿泡腾片(Polident)能清除由红酒、茶等色素引起的义齿表面着色。 | 马霄 王贻宁 Charles Dullea Marybeth Finnegan 田敏 Prasad S. | 3 | The Role of Vanadia for the Selective Oxidation of Benzyl Alcohol over Heteropolymolybdate Supported on Alumina显示文摘A series of 12-molybdophosphoric acid (MPA) supported on V2O5 dispersed γ-Al2O3 catalysts with different vanadia loadings were prepared by impregnation and characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction, temperature-programmed reduction, in situ laser Raman spectroscopy, UV-Vis diffused reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and temperature-programmed desorption of NH3 techniques. Their catalytic activities were evaluated for the vapor phase aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohol. The catalysts exhibited high catalytic activity and the conversion of benzyl alcohol depended on the vanadia content while the catalyst with 15 wt% V2O5 content showed optimum activity. The characterization results suggest the presence of well-dispersed V2O5 and partially disintegrated Keggin ions of MPA on the support. In situ Raman studies showed a reduced Mo(IV) species when the catalysts were calcined at high temperatures. | 4 | OPTIMAL MODE OF SEDIMENT TRANSPORT BY SHALLOW FLOWS IN UPLAND AREAS显示文摘Soil erosion and sediment movement are serious problems of upland areas of a watershed. In these areas,most of the eroded sediment is transported in overland flows; either in shallow or in concentrated flowsituations. These flows are usually associated with nonlinear waves, generally known as 'roll waves' inthe hydraulic engineering literature. Under suitable hydraulic conditions, these waves contain a significantfraction of the total kinetic energy of the flow regime. Hence, the waves act as the primary energy sourcein transporting eroded sediment in shallow flows on steep slopes. Our laborat0ry experiments undercontrolled condition suggest that modulation of the roll waves is effected by the addition of increasingamouflts of sediment in the flow. The optimal condition in the sediment transport rate is reached whenmost of the available wave energy is consumed in carrying the sediment.
