1从野生与突变株云芝IBL-04提纯锰过氧化物酶及其表征(英文)显示文摘由野生及突变株云芝IBL-04制得细胞外锰过氧化物酶(MnPs),并经过硫酸铵沉淀、透析、离子交换和凝胶渗透层析法等步骤提纯.纯化的酶在十二烷基硫酸钠-聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳(SDS-PAGE)上于43 kDa区域呈现单一谱带,它适宜的pH值和温度分别为5.0和40°C.突变株MnPs表现出比野生株MnPs更宽的活性pH值范围和更高的热稳定性.从所选突变株所得纯化的MnPs表现出与野生株MnP几乎相同的电泳性质、稳态动力学、金属离子和EDCs降解效率.该生物酶与Mn^(2+)一起催化的反应速率最快,但最高的亲和性对应于ABTS、甲氧基羟苯基乙二醇、4-氨基苯酚和活性染料.Mn^(2+)和Cu^(2+)可显著提高MnPs的活性,但Zn^(2+),Fe^(2+),EDTA和半胱氨酸则会不同程度地抑制其活性,Hg^(2+)是最强的活性抑制剂.所有来源的MnPs均可有效催化EDCs、壬基苯酚和二氯苯氧氯酚降解,处理3 h可除去80%以上,在MnPs-介质体系中可进一步提高到90%.综上,云芝MnPs生物酶具有较高的pH适用性和热稳定性、独特的Michaelis-Menten动力学参数和高的EDCs去除效率等特点。Muhammad Asgher Muhammad Ramzan Muhammad Bilal 2016Chinese Journal of Catalysis2016,37,4:4
2层状双氢氧化物(LDHs)的合成及应用(英文)显示文摘Layered double hydroxides, a class of anionic clays possessing sandwich like structure in which negative anions are sandwiched into positively charged metal layers in a repeating manner, have been studied extensively. Layered double hydroxides could be fabricated with combination of different divalent(Cd^(2+), Mn^(2+), Fe^(2+), Pb^(2+)) and trivalent(Al^(3+), Cr^(3+), Fe^(3+)) metals and layered arrangement imparts unique properties such as adsorption properties and catalytic properties in these compounds. Exciting feature of these compounds is the memory effect. 3Current controversies and advances in the management of pancreatic adenocarcinoma显示文摘Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is a lethal disease with a mortality rate that has not significantly improved over decades.This is likely due to several challenges unique to pancreatic cancer.Most patients with pancreatic cancer are diagnosed at a late stage of disease due to the lack of specific symptoms prompting an early investigation.A small subset of patients who are diagnosed at an early stage have a better chance at survival with curative surgical resection,but most patients still succumb to the disease in a few years.The dismal overall prognosis is due to suspected micro-metastasis at an early stage.Due to this reason,there is a recent interest in treating all patients with pancreatic cancers with systemic therapy upfront(including the ones that are surgically resectable).This approach is still not the standard of care due to the lack of robust prospective data available.Recent advancements in treatment regimens of chemotherapy,radiation and immunotherapy have improved the overall short-term survival but the long-term survival still remains poor.Novel approaches in diagnosis and treatment have shown promise in clinical studies but long-term clinical data is lacking.The following manuscript presents an overview of the epidemiology,diagnosis,staging,recent advances,novel approaches and controversies in the management of pancreatic adenocarcinoma.Muhammad Shehroz Zeeshan Zeeshan Ramzan 2021World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2021,13,6:2

5New Era: Endoscopic treatment options in obesity–a paradigm shift显示文摘The prevalence of obesity continues to rise,and along with it comes a multitude of health-related consequences.The healthcare community has consistently struggled with providing treatment options to obese patients,in part due to the reluctance of patients in pursuing the more effective(yet invasive)surgical approaches such as sleeve gastrectomy and Rou-en-Y gastric bypass.On the other hand,the less invasive approach such as lifestyle/behavioral interventions and pharmacotherapy(Orlistat,Phenteramine,Phentermine/Topiramate,Locaserin,Naltrexon/Buproprion,and Liraglutide)have very limited efficacy,especially in the morbidly obese patients.Despite our best efforts,the epidemic of obesity continues to rise and pose enormous costs on our healthcare system and society.Bariatric endoscopy is an evolving field generated to combat this epidemic through minimally invasive techniques.These procedures can be performed in an ambulatory setting,are potentially reversible,repeatable,and pose less complications than their invasive surgical counterparts.These modalities are designed to alter gut metabolism by means of space occupation,malabsorption,or restriction.In this review we will discuss different bariatric endoscopic options(such as intragastric balloons,endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty,endoscopic aspiration therapies and gastrointestinal bypass sleeves),their advantages and disadvantages,and suggest a new paradigm where providers may start incorporating this modality in their treatment approach for obese patients.Jason Glass Ahson Chaudhry Muhammad S Zeeshan Zeeshan Ramzan 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,32:1

9Genetic variability predicting breeding potential of upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)for high temperature tolerance显示文摘Background High temperature stress at peak flowering stage of cotton is a major hindrance for crop potential.This study aimed to increase genetic divergence regarding heat tolerance in newly developed cultivars and hybrids.Fifty cotton genotypes and 40 F1(hybrids)were tested under field conditions following the treatments,viz.,high temperature stress and control at peak flowering stage in August and October under April and June sowing,respectively.Results The mean squares revealed significant differences among genotypes,treatments,genotype×treatment for relative cell injury,chlorophyll contents,canopy temperature,boll retention and seed cotton yield per plant.The genetic diversity among 50 genotypes was analyzed through cluster analysis and heat susceptibility index(HSI).The heat tolerant genotypes including FH-Noor,NIAB-545,FH-466,FH-Lalazar,FH-458,NIAB-878,IR-NIBGE-8,Weal-AGShahkar,and heat sensitive,i.e.,CIM-602,Silky-3,FH-326,SLH-12 and FH-442 were hybridized in line×tester fashion to produce F1 populations.The breeding materials’populations(40 F1)revealed higher specific combining ability variances along with dominance variances,decided the non-additive type gene action for all the traits.The best general combining ability effects for most of the traits were displayed by the lines,i.e.,FH-Lalazar,NIAB-878 along with testers FH-326 and Silky-3.Specific combining ability effects and better-parent heterosis were showed by the crosses,viz.,FH-Lalazar×Silky-3,FH-Lalazar×FH-326,NIAB-878×Silky-3,and NIAB-878×FH-326 for seed cotton yield and yield contributing traits under high temperature stress.Conclusion Heterosis breeding should be carried out in the presence of non-additive type gene action for all the studied traits.The best combiner parents with better-parent heterosis may be used in crossing program to develop high yielding cultivars,and hybrids for high temperature stress tolerance.FAROOQ Amjad SHAKEEL Amir SAEED Asif FAROOQ Jehanzeb RIZWAN Muhammad CHATTHA Waqas Shafqat SARWAR Ghulam RAMZAN Yasir 2023Journal of Cotton Research2023,6,2:1
10Gastrointestinal Tract Infections Classification Using Deep Learning显示文摘Automatic gastrointestinal(GI)tract disease recognition is an important application of biomedical image processing.Conventionally,microscopic analysis of pathological tissue is used to detect abnormal areas of the GI tract.The procedure is subjective and results in significant inter-/intraobserver variations in disease detection.Moreover,a huge frame rate in video endoscopy is an overhead for the pathological findings of gastroenterologists to observe every frame with a detailed examination.Consequently,there is a huge demand for a reliable computer-aided diagnostic system(CADx)for diagnosing GI tract diseases.In this work,a CADx was proposed for the diagnosis and classification of GI tract diseases.A novel framework is presented where preprocessing(LAB color space)is performed first;then local binary patterns(LBP)or texture and deep learning(inceptionNet,ResNet50,and VGG-16)features are fused serially to improve the prediction of the abnormalities in the GI tract.Additionally,principal component analysis(PCA),entropy,and minimum redundancy and maximum relevance(mRMR)feature selection methods were analyzed to acquire the optimized characteristics,and various classifiers were trained using the fused features.Open-source color image datasets(KVASIR,NERTHUS,and stomach ULCER)were used for performance evaluation.The study revealed that the subspace discriminant classifier provided an efficient result with 95.02%accuracy on the KVASIR dataset,which proved to be better than the existing state-of-the-art approaches.Muhammad Ramzan Mudassar Raza Muhammad Sharif Muhammad Attique Khan Yunyoung Nam 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,12:1

15Automatic Heart Disease Detection by Classification of Ventricular Arrhythmias on ECG Using Machine Learning显示文摘This paper focuses on detecting diseased signals and arrhythmias classification into two classes:ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction.The sole purpose of the signal detection is used to determine if a signal has been collected from a healthy or sick person.The proposed research approach presents a mathematical model for the signal detector based on calculating the instantaneous frequency(IF).Once a signal taken from a patient is detected,then the classifier takes that signal as input and classifies the target disease by predicting the class label.While applying the classifier,templates are designed separately for ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction.Similarities of a given signal with both the templates are computed in the spectral domain.The empirical analysis reveals precisions for the detector and the applied classifier are 100%and 77.27%,respectively.Moreover,instantaneous frequency analysis provides a benchmark that IF of a normal signal ranges from 0.8 to 1.1 Hz whereas IF range for ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contraction is 0.08–0.6 Hz.This indicates a serious loss of high-frequency contents in the spectrum,implying that the heart’s overall activity is slowed down.This study may help medical practitioners in detecting the heart disease type based on signal analysis.Khalid Mahmood Aamir Muhammad Ramzan Saima Skinadar Hikmat Ullah Khan Usman Tariq Hyunsoo Lee Yunyoung Nam Muhammad Attique Khan 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4:1

17Identifying and validating MMP family members(MMP2,MMP9,MMP12,and MMP16)as therapeutic targets and biomarkers in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)显示文摘Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)is a malignant tumor that carries a substantial risk of morbidity and mortality.The MMP family assumes a crucial role in tumor invasion and metastasis.This study aimed to uncover the mechanistic relevance of the MMP gene family as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)through a comprehensive approach encompassing both computational and molecular analyses.STRING,Cytoscape,UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,HPA,cBioPortal,GSEA,TIMER,ENCORI,DrugBank,targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq),conventional PCR,Sanger sequencing,and RT-qPCR based analyses were used in the present study to analyze MMP gene family members to accurately determine a few hub genes that can be utilized as both therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers for KIRC.By performing STRING and Cytohubba analyses of the 24 MMP gene family members,MMP2(matrix metallopeptidase 2),MMP9(matrix metallopeptidase 9),MMP12(matrix metallopeptidase 12),and MMP16(matrix metallopeptidase 16)genes were denoted as hub genes having highest degree scores.After analyzing MMP2,MMP9,MMP12,and MMP16 via various TCGA databases and RT-qPCR technique across clinical samples and KIRC cell lines,interestingly,all these hub genes were found significantly overexpressed at mRNA and protein levels in KIRC samples relative to controls.The notable effect of the up-regulated MMP2,MMP9,MMP12,and MMP16 was also documented on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC patients.Moreover,targeted bisulfite-sequencing(bisulfite-seq)analysis revealed that promoter hypomethylation pattern was associated with up-regulation of hub genes(MMP2,MMP9,MMP12,and MMP16).In addition to this,hub genes were involved in various diverse oncogenic pathways.The MMP gene family members(MMP2,MMP9,MMP12,and MMP16)may serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers in KIRC.KUNLUN LI DANDAN LI BARBOD HAFEZ MOUNIR M.SALEM BEKHIT YOUSEF A.BIN JARDAN FARS KAED ALANAZI EHAB I.TAHA SAYED H.AUDA FAIQAH RAMZAN MUHAMMAD JAMIL 2024Oncology Research2024,32,4:0

20Aspect Extraction Approach for Sentiment Analysis Using Keywords显示文摘Sentiment Analysis deals with consumer reviews available on blogs,discussion forums,E-commerce websites,andApp Store.These online reviews about products are also becoming essential for consumers and companies as well.Consumers rely on these reviews to make their decisions about products and companies are also very interested in these reviews to judge their products and services.These reviews are also a very precious source of information for requirement engineers.But companies and consumers are not very satisfied with the overall sentiment;they like fine-grained knowledge about consumer reviews.Owing to this,many researchers have developed approaches for aspect-based sentiment analysis.Most existing approaches concentrate on explicit aspects to analyze the sentiment,and only a few studies rely on capturing implicit aspects.This paper proposes a Keywords-Based Aspect Extraction method,which captures both explicit and implicit aspects.It also captures opinion words and classifies the sentiment about each aspect.We applied semantic similarity-basedWordNet and SentiWordNet lexicon to improve aspect extraction.We used different collections of customer reviews for experiment purposes,consisting of eight datasets over seven domains.We compared our approach with other state-of-the-art approaches,including Rule Selection using Greedy Algorithm(RSG),Conditional Random Fields(CRF),Rule-based Extraction(RubE),and Double Propagation(DP).Our results have shown better performance than all of these approaches.Nafees Ayub Muhammad Ramzan Talib Muhammad Kashif Hanif Muhammad Awais 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0
