2Co-seismic Landslide Inventory and Susceptibility Mapping in the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Area,China显示文摘The Ms 8.0 May 12,2008 Wenchuan earthquake triggered tens of thousands of landslides.The widespread landslides have caused serious casualties and property losses,and posed a great threat to post-earthquake reconstruction.A spatial database,inventoried 43,842 landslides with a total area of 632 km 2,was developed by interpretation of multi-resolution remote sensing images.The landslides can be classified into three categories:swallow,disrupted slides and falls;deep-seated slides and falls,and rock avalanches.The correlation between landslides distribution and the influencing parameters including distance from co-seismic fault,lithology,slope gradient,elevation,peak ground acceleration(PGA) and distance from drainage were analyzed.The distance from co-seismic fault was the most significant parameter followed by slope gradient and PGA was the least significant one.A logistic regression model combined with bivariate statistical analysis(BSA) was adopted for landslide susceptibility mapping.The study area was classified into five categories of landslide susceptibility:very low,low,medium,high and very high.92.0% of the study area belongs to low and very low categories with corresponding 9.0% of the total inventoried landslides.Medium susceptible zones make up 4.2% of the area with 17.7% of the total landslides.The rest of the area was classified into high and very high categories,which makes up 3.9% of the area with corresponding 73.3% of the total landslides.Although the susceptibility map can reveal the likelihood of future landslides and debris flows,and it is helpful for the rebuilding process and future zoning issues.LI Wei-le HUANG Run-qiu TANG Chuan XU Qiang Cees van WESTEN 2013Journal of Mountain Science2013,10,3:15
3三维超声心动图测定左心耳容量及其收缩功能的初步研究显示文摘目的 观察三维超声心动图测定左心耳容量的可行性。方法 对 10名患者行多平面经食管超声心动图 (TEE)检查。应用三维超声心动图采取圆盘总和方法 (disksummation)测定左心耳舒张末期容量 (EDV)和左心耳收缩末期容量 (ESV)。用二维超声心动图测定左心耳舒张末期面积 (EDA)和左心耳收缩末期面积(ESA)。上述左心耳容量和面积的测定均在二个独立的观察者之间以及同一观察者两次观察间重复进行。由三维超声心动图容量测定结果计算出左心耳的射血分数 (EFv) ,由二维超声心动图的面积测定结果计算出左心耳射血分数 (EFa)。结果 三维超声心动图测定左心耳EDV为 ( 19.5± 10 .9)ml,ESV为 ( 13 .5± 9.5 )ml ,EFv为0 .3 5± 0 .14。二维超声心动图测定左心耳EDA为 ( 8.7± 2 .2 )cm2 ,ESV为 ( 5 .9± 3 .5 )cm2 ,EFa为 0 .3 5± 0 .2 2。以上测量内容在观察者之间及观察者内的重复性检验中均未见显著性差异 ,EFv与EFa之间亦无显著性差异。但无论在观察者间或观察者内的重复性检验中EFa的范围和两测量数值之差均大于EFv的相应值。结论 三维超声心动图测量左心耳容量和评价其收缩功能是可行的 ,这种测定方法可能有助于改善二维超声心动图评价左心耳功能的准确性。李越 Otto Kamp Herman FJ Mannaerts Gabriel Valocik Cees A Visser 2000中华超声影像学杂志2000,9,5:6
4Influence of grain size on strength of polymineralic crystalline rock: New insights from DEM grain-based modeling显示文摘Grain size effect on rock strength is a topic of great interest in geotechnical engineering.A consensus obtained from earlier laboratory tests is that rock strength generally decreases with the increase of grain size for both silicate and carbonate rocks;however,some recent numerical results conflict with such laboratory test results.To address this intriguing issue,the effect of grain size on strength of polymineralic crystalline rock with low porosity is investigated numerically using the grain-based modeling(GBM)approach in discrete element method(DEM)by interpreting micro-cracking process in response to loading.In agreement with some previous DEM simulation results,the simulated rock strength is found to increase with increasing grain size for both homogeneous and heterogeneous models,even when the number of assembled disks in one mineral grain changes.The mechanism of strength increase with increasing grain size is mainly associated with the number of assembled smooth-joint contacts along grain interfaces and the generation of grain boundary cracks in response to loading.The grain interfaces significantly weaken the integrity of the rock model,which is similar to effects of inherent defects in real rock.As the grain size increases,fewer grain interfaces are built in the model and the rock strength becomes much higher.Hence,by solely changing the mineral grain size in a model,the mechanism of grain size effect as observed in laboratory tests cannot be replicated.To address this issue,a method of degradation of grain boundary strength parameters is used to mimic the possible mechanism of grain size effect.The simulated strength using the method becomes comparable with those obtained from laboratory tests when the heterogeneity in the rock is considered.Degradation of grain boundary parameters with increasing grain size provides a plausible explanation for the grain size effect on rock strength.Jun Peng Louis Ngai Yuen Wong Cee Ing Teh 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,4:6
5Distribution and dispersal pattern of clay minerals in surface sediments,eastern Beibu Gulf,South China Sea显示文摘Clay minerology of sediments are useful in determining distribution,sources and dispersal routes of fine-grained sediments.In the present paper,clay minerals of surface sediments throughout the eastern part of Beibu Gulf has been investigated to reveal sources and transport of detrital finegrained sediments.Four distinct clay mineral suites were observed from cluster analysis of clay mineral compositions of the samples.From the distribution pattern of clay minerals,we conclude that kaolinte in the eastern gulf is mainly derived from South China Landmass;Smectite could not be transported mainly by surface current from north-western Hainan Island,and maybe minor portion of it from Red River;Illite is mainly transported by the currents from South China Sea.Chlorite has two sources,namely South China Sea and South China Landmass.The Zhujiang River derived sediments could not be one of the sources for the clay mineral here,because of very different composition and ratios.The distribution pattern of clay minerals in the eastern Beibu Gulf is mainly controlled by fine-grained sediment source and local currents.The Silt/Clay,Smectite/Kaolinte,and Smetite/(Chlorite+Illite) ratios could be used as indicators of fine-grained sediment dispersal in the gulf.LI Jun GAO Jianhua WANG Yaping LI Yan BAI Fenglong CEES Laban 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:6

7Analysis of the influencing factors of PAEs volatilization from typical plastic products显示文摘The primary emphasis of this research was to investigate the foundations of phthalate(PAEs) pollutant source researches and then firstly confirmed the concept of the coefficient of volatile strength, namely phthalate total content in per unit mass and unit surface area of pollutant sources. Through surveying and evaluating the coefficient of volatile strength of PAEs from typical plastic products, this research carried out reasonable classification of PAEs pollutant sources into three categories and then investigated the relationship amongst the coefficient of volatile strength as well as other environmental factors and the concentration level of total PAEs in indoor air measured in environment chambers.Research obtained phthalate concentration results under different temperature, humidity,the coefficient of volatile strength and the closed time through the chamber experiment. In addition, this study further explored the correlation and ratio of influencing factors that affect the concentration level of total PAEs in environment chambers, including environmental factors, the coefficient of volatile strengths of PAEs and contents of total PAEs in plastic products. The research created an improved database system of phthalate the coefficient of volatile strengths of each type of plastic goods, and tentatively revealed that the volatile patterns of PAEs from different typical plastic goods, finally confirmed that the coefficient of volatile strengths of PAEs is a major factor that affects the indoor air total PAEs concentration, which laid a solid foundation for further establishing the volatile equation of PAEs from plastic products.Weidong Chen Chenchen Chi Chen Zhou Meng Xia Cees Ronda Xueyou Shen 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,4:5
