2Internet of Things to network smart devices for ecosystem monitoring显示文摘Smart, real-time, low-cost, and distributed ecosystem monitoring is essential for understanding and managing rapidly changing ecosystems. However, new techniques in the big data era have rarely been introduced into operational ecosystem monitoring, particularly for fragile ecosystems in remote areas.We introduce the Internet of Things(IoT) techniques to establish a prototype ecosystem monitoring system by developing innovative smart devices and using IoT technologies for ecosystem monitoring in isolated environments. The developed smart devices include four categories: large-scale and nonintrusive instruments to measure evapotranspiration and soil moisture, in situ observing systems for CO2 and d13 C associated with soil respiration, portable and distributed devices for monitoring vegetation variables, and Bi-CMOS cameras and pressure trigger sensors for terrestrial vertebrate monitoring. These new devices outperform conventional devices and are connected to each other via wireless communication networks. The breakthroughs in the ecosystem monitoring IoT include new data loggers and longdistance wireless sensor network technology that supports the rapid transmission of data from devices to wireless networks. The applicability of this ecosystem monitoring IoT is verified in three fragile ecosystems, including a karst rocky desertification area, the National Park for Amur Tigers, and the oasis-desert ecotone in China. By integrating these devices and technologies with an ecosystem monitoring information system, a seamless data acquisition, transmission, processing, and application IoT is created. 3A dual-pass data assimilation scheme for estimating surface fluxes with FY3A-VIRR land surface temperature显示文摘In this work, a dual-pass data assimilation scheme is developed to improve predictions of surface flux. Pass 1 of the dual-pass data assimilation scheme optimizes the model vegetation parameters at the weekly temporal scale, and Pass 2 optimizes the soil moisture at the daily temporal scale. Based on ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF), the land surface temperature(LST) data derived from the new generation of Chinese meteorology satellite(FY3A-VIRR) are assimilated into common land model(CoLM) for the first time. Six sites, Daman, Guantao, Arou, BJ, Miyun and Jiyuan, are selected for the data assimilation experiments and include different climatological conditions. The results are compared with those from a dataset generated by a multi-scale surface flux observation system that includes an automatic weather station(AWS), eddy covariance(EC) and large aperture scintillometer(LAS). 4Wearable skin-like optoelectronic systems with suppression of motion artifacts for cuff-less continuous blood pressure monitor显示文摘According to the statistics of the World Health Organization,an estimated 17.9 million people die from cardiovascular diseases each year,representing 31%of all global deaths.Continuous non-invasive arterial pressure(CNAP)is essential for the management of cardiovascular diseases.However,it is difficult to achieve long-term CNAP monitoring with the daily use of current devices due to irritation of the skin as well as the lack of motion artifacts suppression.Here,we report a high-performance skin-like optoelectronic system integrated with ultra-thin flexible circuits to monitor CNAP.We introduce a theoretical model via the virtual work principle for predicting the precise blood pressure and suppressing motion artifacts,and propose optical difference in the frequency domain for stable optical measurements in terms of skin-like devices.We compare the results with the blood pressure acquired by invasive(intra-arterial)blood pressure monitoring for>1500 min in total on 44 subjects in an intensive care unit.The maximum absolute errors of diastolic and systolic blood pressure were±7/±10 mm Hg,respectively,in immobilized,and±10/±14 mm Hg,respectively,in walking scenarios.These strategies provide advanced blood pressure monitoring techniques,which would directly address an unmet clinical need or daily use for a highly vulnerable population.Haicheng Li Yinji Ma Ziwei Liang Zhouheng Wang Yu Cao Yuan Xu Hua Zhou Bingwei Lu Ying Chen Zhiyuan Han Shisheng Cai Xue Feng 2020National Science Review2020,7,5:7

7Enhancement of precursor amino acid supplies for improving bacitracin production by activation of branched chain amino acid transporter BrnQ and deletion of its regulator gene lrp in Bacillus licheniformis显示文摘Bacitracin,a new type of cyclic peptide antibiotic,is widely used as the feed additive in feed industry.Branched chain amino acids(BCAAs)are the key precursors for bacitracin synthesis.In this research,soybean meal was served as the raw material to supply precursor amino acids for bacitracin synthesis,and enhanced production of bacitracin was attempted by engineering BCAA transporter BrnQ and its regulator Lrp in the bacitracin industrial production strain Bacillus licheniformis DW2.Firstly,our results confirmed that Lrp negatively affected bacitracin synthesis in DW2,and deletion of lrp improved intracellular BCAA accumulations,as well as the expression level of BCAA transporter BrnQ,which further led to a 14.71%increase of bacitracin yield,compared with that of DW2.On the contrary,overexpression of Lrp decreased bacitracin yield by 12.28%.Secondly,it was suggested that BrnQ acted as a BCAA importer in DW2,and overexpression of BrnQ enhanced the intracellular BCAA accumulations and 10.43%of bacitracin yield.While,the bacitracin yield decreased by 18.27%in the brnQ deletion strain DW2△brnQ.Finally,BrnQ was further overexpressed in lrp deletion strain DW2△lrp,and bacitracin yield produced by the final strain DW2△lrp::BrnQ was 965.34 U/mL,increased by 22.42%compared with that of DW2(788.48 U/mL).Collectively,this research confirmed that Lrp affected bacitracin synthesis via regulating the expression of BCAA transporter BrnQ and BCAA distributions,and provided a promising strain for industrial production of bacitracin.Jiang Zhu Dongbo Cai Haixia Xu Ziwei Liu Bowen Zhang Fei Wu Junhui Li Shouwen Chen 2018Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2018,3,4:6
8Si-substrate vertical-structure InGaN/GaN micro-LED-based photodetector for beyond 10 Gbps visible light communication显示文摘Visible light communication(VLC)has emerged as a promising communication method in 6G.However,the development of receiving devices is much slower than that of transmitting devices,limited by materials,structures,and fabrication.In this paper,we propose and fabricate an InGaN/GaN multiple-quantum-well-based vertical-structure micro-LED-based photodetector(μPD)on a Si substrate.A comprehensive comparison of the photoelectrical performance and communication performance of three sizes ofμPDs,10,50,and 100μm,is presented.The peak responsivity of all threeμPDs is achieved at 400 nm,while the passband full-widths at half maxima are 87,72,and 78 nm for 10,50,and 100μmμPDs,respectively.The−20 dB cutoff bandwidth is up to 822 MHz for 50μmμPD.A data rate of 10.14 Gbps is experimentally demonstrated by bit and power loading discrete multitone modulation and the proposed digital pre-equalizer algorithm over 1 m free space utilizing the self-designed 4×450μmμPD array as a receiver and a 450 nm laser diode as a transmitter.This is the first time a more than 10 Gbps VLC system has been achieved utilizing a GaN-based micro-PD,to the best of our knowledge.The investigation fully demonstrates the superiority of Si substrates and vertical structures in InGaN/GaNμPDs and shows its great potential for high-speed VLC links beyond 10 Gbps.JIANYANG SHI ZENGYI XU WENQING NIU DONG LI XIAOMING WU ZIWEI LI JUNWEN ZHANG CHAO SHEN GUANGXU WANG XIAOLAN WANG JIANLI ZHANG FENGYI JIANG SHAOHUA YU NAN CHI 2022Photonics Research2022,10,10:5

10Retrieval of sea surface winds under hurricane conditions from GNSS-R observations显示文摘Reflected signals from global navigation satellite systems(GNSSs) have been widely acknowledged as an important remote sensing tool for retrieving sea surface wind speeds.The power of GNSS reflectometry(GNSS-R)signals can be mapped in delay chips and Doppler frequency space to generate delay Doppler power maps(DDMs),whose characteristics are related to sea surface roughness and can be used to retrieve wind speeds.However,the bistatic radar cross section(BRCS),which is strongly related to the sea surface roughness,is extensively used in radar.Therefore,a bistatic radar cross section(BRCS) map with a modified BRCS equation in a GNSS-R application is introduced.On the BRCS map,three observables are proposed to represent the sea surface roughness to establish a relationship with the sea surface wind speed.Airborne Hurricane Dennis(2005) GNSS-R data are then used.More than 16 000 BRCS maps are generated to establish GMFs of the three observables.Finally,the proposed model and classic one-dimensional delay waveform(DW) matching methods are compared,and the proposed model demonstrates a better performance for the high wind speed retrievals.JING Cheng YANG Xiaofeng MA Wentao YU Yang DONG Di LI Ziwei XU Cong 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,9:4

12Recovery of neodymium,dysprosium,and cobalt from NdFeB magnet leachate using an unsymmetrical dialkylphosphinic acid extractant,INET-3显示文摘Rare earths (REs) and Co are critical strategic resources.Their recovery is crucial for ensuring that their supplies are adequate and for reducing environmental pollution.End-of-life NdFeB magnets are important secondary RE sources.The separation of Dy,Nd,and Co from NdFeB leachate using a relatively new extractant (2,3-dimethylbutyl)(2,4,4’-trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid (INET-3),was investigated in this study.The separation parameters,such as equilibrium pH,phase ratio,INET-3 concentration,and number of counter-current extraction stages,were optimised.The results show that INET-3 can separate Dy,Nd,and Co efficiently.For the preferential extraction of Dy from synthetic iron-free NdFeB leachate,the optimum equilibrium pH is 2.60.Under this condition,separation of Dy from the leachate requires four counter-current extraction stages at A/O (volume ratio of aqueous to organic)=1:2.This is demonstrated by a simulated four-stage counter-current extraction process.At equilibrium pH=2.52and A/O=1:2,98%of Dy is recovered with 95%purity.As to the subsequent separation of Nd from the leachate,nearly 100%is recovered with 99%purity through a simulated three-stage counter-current extraction process at equilibrium pH=5.33 and A/O=1:1.Approximately 95%of Co remains in the raffinate with 99.98%purity.Zhengyu Liu a Jiaming Wu a Xinyu Liu Wen Wanga Ziwei Li Ruijing Xu Yue Ding Junlian Wang 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,10:3
13Impact of Different Diets on Adult Tri-Spine Horseshoe Crab,Tachypleus tridentatus显示文摘Effective culture and management of adult tri-spine horseshoe crab,Tachypleus tridentatus can ensure that stock enhancement programs and aquaculture systems are maintained.To explore suitable feed for animals during the breeding season,Pacific oyster(Ostrea gigas)(oyster group;OG)and frozen sharpbelly fish(Hemiculter leucisculus)(frozen fish group;FG)were selected to feed 20 T.tridentatus male and female pairs,respectively.At the end of the experiment,intestinal samples were obtained to measure digestive enzymes activities.The intestinal flora were determined by 16S r DNA sequencing.No eggs were observed in the FG and one T.tridentatus adult died.No animals died in the OG,and 9.7×10;eggs were obtained.These results show that oysters are more suitable for the development and reproduction of adult T.tridentatus than frozen fish.Additionally,the digestive enzyme activity analysis revealed that animals in the OG exhibited higher protein digestibility than those in the FG,but no significant differences in lipid and carbohydrate uptake were observed between the groups.Furthermore,the intestinal flora analysis showed that operational taxonomic units(OTUs)and the Chao1 index were significantly higher in the OG than in the FG,but no significant difference was observed in the Shannon or Simpson indices between the groups.Our data indicate that the oyster diet improved the intestinal microbial diversity of T.tridentatus.We hypothesize that nutrients,such as oyster-based taurine,proteins,and highly unsaturated fatty acids,improve protease activity in the T.tridentatus digestive tract,alter the intestinal floral structure,and improve the reproductive performance of T.tridentatus.YING Ziwei BAO Yuyuan LI Yinkang YE Guoling ZHANG Shuhuan XU Peng ZHU Junhua XIE Xiaoyong 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,3:3
14High-performance optoelectronic devices based on van der Waals vertical MoS2/MoSe2 heterostructures显示文摘Monolayer MoS2 is a direct band gap semiconductor with large exciton binding energy,which is a promising candidate for the application of ultrathin optoelectronic devices.However,the optoelectronic performance of monolayer M0S2 is seriously limited to its growth quality and carrier mobility.In this work,we report the direct vapor growth and the optoelectronic device of verticallystacked MoS2/MoSe2 heterostructure,and further discuss the mechanism of improved device performance.The optical and high-resolution atomic characterizations demonstrate that the heterostructure interface is of high-quality without atomic alloying.Electrical transport measurements indicate that the heterostructure transistor exhibits a high mobility of 28.5 cm^2/(V·s)and a high on/off ratio of 10^7.The optoelectronic characterizations prove that the heterostructure device presents an enhanced photoresponsivity of 36 A/W and a remarkable detectivity of 4.8×10^11 Jones,which benefited from the interface induced built-in electric field and carrier dependent Coulomb screening effect.This work demonstrates that the construction of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor heterostructures plays a significant role in modifying the optoelectronic device properties of 2D materials.Fang Li Boyi Xu Wen Yang Zhaoyang Qi Chao Ma Yajuan Wang Xuehong Zhang Zhuoran Luo Delang Liang Dong Li Ziwei Li Anlian Pan 2020Nano Research2020,13,4:2

17Targeted delivery of a STING agonist to brain tumors using bioengineered protein nanoparticles for enhanced immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy is emerging as a powerful tool for combating many human diseases.However,the application of this life-saving treatment in serious brain diseases,including glioma,is greatly restricted.The major obstacle is the lack of effective technologies for transporting therapeutic agents across the blood-brain barrier(BBB)and achieving targeted delivery to specific cells once across the BBB.Ferritin,an iron storage protein,traverses the BBB via receptor-mediated transcytosis by binding to transferrin receptor 1(TfR1)overexpressed on BBB endothelial cells.Here,we developed bioengineered ferritin nanoparticles as drug delivery carriers that enable the targeted delivery of a small-molecule immunomodulator to achieve enhanced immunotherapeutic efficacy in an orthotopic glioma-bearing mouse model.We fused different glioma-targeting moieties on self-assembled ferritin nanoparticles via genetic engineering,and RGE fusion protein nanoparticles(RGE-HFn NPs)were identified as the best candidate.Furthermore,RGE-HFn NPs encapsulating a stimulator of interferon genes(STING)agonist(SR717@RGE-HFn NPs)maintained stable self-assembled structure and targeting properties even after traversing the BBB.In the glioma-bearing mouse model,SR717@RGE-HFn NPs elicited a potent local innate immune response in the tumor microenvironment,resulting in significant tumor growth inhibition and prolonged survival.Overall,this biomimetic brain delivery platform offers new opportunities to overcome the BBB and provides a promising approach for brain drug delivery and immunotherapy in patients with glioma.Bin Wang Maoping Tang Ziwei Yuan Zhongyu Li Bin Hu Xin Bai Jinxian Chu Xiaoyang Xu Xue-Qing Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:2
18Bioinformatic analysis of the ssc-miR-146b upstream promoter region显示文摘Sus Scrofa microRNA-146b-5p(ssc-miR-146b) was found to be one of differentially expressional microRNAs(miRNA) in our previous study. Not only it is highly expressed but also it maintains the largest up-regulated differences on the expressional level at different time points in the small intestinal mucosa of weaned piglets. To further explore the regulation mechanism of microRNA-146b-5 p(miR-146b)during the stressful progress in weaned piglets, the present study predicted the functions of the ssc-miR-146b upstream promoter region using biological analysis. The analytical results showed that ssc-miR-146b is an intergenic miRNA. The length of the promoter region of ssc-miR-146b was predicted to be2,249 bp using the Ensemble database. The length of the CpG island in the ssc-miR-146b promoter region was found to be 167 bp and it was located from 464 to 630 bp. Twenty six binding sites of 9 transcription factors in the upstream promoter region, including the sites of genes such as Spl, AP-1, MyoD, GATA etc,were discovered using different kinds of analytical software. 19A novel clustered SPIO nanoplatform with enhanced magnetic resonance T2 relaxation rate for micro-tumor detection and photothermal synergistic therapy显示文摘Construction of micro tumor sensitive theranostic nanoagents that can increase the accuracy of imaging diagnosis and boost the therapeutic efficacy has been demonstrated for a promising approach for diagnosis and treatment of cancer.Herein,we reported a novel super-paramagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)based nanoplatform that possess significantly enhanced magnetic resonance property and photothermal effect for tumor theranostic purpose.This polyethylene glycol with four phenylboronic acid(PEG-B4)/CNTs@porphyrin(ph)/SPIO(BCPS)nanoplatform was simply prepared via integrated SPIO,ph,and a novel dendrimer with PEG liner and four PBA groups(PEG-B4)on the surface of carbon nanotubes(CNTs).Subsequently,a significant T2 relaxation rate enhanced can be achieved by the reduced accessibility of water to SPIO clustering.Moreover,the synergetic enhanced photothermal from BCPS nanoplatform contributed to better photothermal effect for cancer therapy.Furthermore,the targeting ability to sialic acid overexpressed tumor was further introduced from phenylboronic acid from PEG-B4.We showed that BCPS nanoplatform could not only selectively identify solid tumors and detect micro-sized metastatic tumor(1 mm)in the liver,but also effectively ablate tumors in a xenograft model,thereby achieving a complete cure rate of 100%at low laser dose.Our results highlight the potential of BCPS nanoplatform for accurate micro-tumor diagnosis and effective tumor therapy.Hongwei Lu Yongjing Xu Ruirui Qiao Ziwei Lu Pin Wang Xindan Zhang An Chen Liming Zou Zhongling Wang 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:1
