| 1 | Rhizobacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Strain SQRT3-Mediated Induced Systemic Resistance Controls Bacterial Wilt of Tomato显示文摘Tomato bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum seriously threats tomato growth in tropical and temperate regions around the world.This study reported an antagonistic bacterial strain, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain SQRT3, isolated from the rhizosphere soil of tomato plants, which strongly inhibited in vitro growth of pathogenic R.solanacearum.The suppression of tomato bacterial wilt by strain SQRT3 was demonstrated under greenhouse conditions.Additionally, induced systemic resistance(ISR) in tomato as one of the potential disease suppression mechanisms was investigated in the plants inoculated with the isolated bacterial strain SQRT3.The results showed that strain SQRT3 applied with R.solanacearum by drenching significantly reduced tomato bacterial wilt by 68.1% biocontrol efficiency(BE) and suppressed the R.solanacearum populations in the rhizosphere soil compared to the control only drenched with R.solanacearum.The BE of the isolated bacterial strain SQRT3 against tomato wilt increased to 84.1%by root-dipping.Tomato plants treated with both strain SQRT3 and R.solanacearum showed increases in activities of peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase compared with other treatments.The application of strain SQRT3 reduced membrane lipid peroxidation in tomato leaves.The expressions of marker genes for jasmonic acid-and salicylic acid-dependent signaling pathways were faster and stronger in tomato plants treated with both strain SQRT3 and R.solanacearum than in plants treated with either R.solanacearum or strain SQRT3 alone.Collectively, the findings indicated that strain SQRT3 can effectively control tomato wilt. | LI Chunyu HU Weicong PAN Bin LIU Yan YUAN Saifei DING Yuanyuan LI Rong ZHENG Xinyan SHEN Biao SHEN Qirong | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,6: | 18 |
| 2 | Induction of apoptosis by artemisinin relieving the severity of inflammation in caerulein-induced acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM:To observe the apoptosis and oncosis of pancreatic acinar cells and secondary inflammatory reaction in pancreatic tissue from rats with acute pancreatitis(AP),and the influences of artemisinin on them.METHODS:AP was induced by 4 intraperitoneal injections of caerulein at 1 h intervals.To induce apoptosis,solution of artemisinin(50 mg/kg)was given intraperitoneally 1,12,24 and 36 h after the last caerulein injection.Histological examination of impairment of pancreatic tissue and detection of serum amylase were performed to evaluate the severity of acute pancreatitis.Apoptosis and oncosis were detected with acridine orange(AO)and ethylene dibromide(EB)staining.Caspase-3 and myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity were measured by colorimetric assay.Nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)activation was detected by flow cytometry.Macrophage inflammatory protein-1α(MIP-1α)protein was measured by Western blot.Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)mRNA was detected by RT-PCR.RESULTS:Addition of artemisinin increased the number of apoptotic cells(11.7% ± 1.4% vs 6.3% ± 0.7%,P < 0.05),while reduced the number of oncotic cells(13.0% ± 2.4% vs 17.5% ± 2.2%,P < 0.05).The activity of caspase-3 speeded up(1.52 ± 0.21 vs 1.03 ± 0.08,P < 0.05),the pancreas pathological impairment was relieved(3.0 ± 0.5 vs 4.0 ± 0.5,P < 0.05)and the level of serum amylase decreased(5642 ± 721 U/dL vs 7821 ± 653 U/dL,P < 0.05).The activation of NF-κB(29% ± 4.1% vs 42% ± 5.8%),MIP-1α protein(3.7 ± 0.5 vs 5.8 ± 0.7),MPO(0.52 ± 0.06 U/g vs 0.68 ± 0.09 U/g),IL-1β mRNA(1.7 ± 0.3 vs 2.4 ± 0.4)in the apoptosis inducing group was obviously decreased(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Inducing apoptosis can relieve pathological impairment and inflammatory reaction in AP rats. | Ming Zhao Dong-Bo Xue Biao Zheng Wei-Hui Zhang Shang-Ha Pan Bei Sun | 2007 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,42: | 14 |
| 3 | An improved artificial bee colony algorithm for steelmaking–refining–continuous casting scheduling problem显示文摘Steelmaking–refining–Continuous Casting(SCC) scheduling is a worldwide problem, which is NP-hard. Effective SCC scheduling algorithms can help to enhance productivity, and thus make significant monetary savings. This paper develops an Improved Artificial Bee Colony(IABC) algorithm for the SCC scheduling. In the proposed IABC, charge permutation is employed to represent the solutions. In the population initialization, several solutions with certain quality are produced by a heuristic while others are generated randomly. Two variable neighborhood search neighborhood operators are devised to generate new high-quality solutions for the employed bee and onlooker bee phases, respectively. Meanwhile, in order to enhance the exploitation ability, a control parameter is introduced to conduct the search of onlooker bee phase. Moreover, to enhance the exploration ability,the new generated solutions are accepted with a control acceptance criterion. In the scout bee phase, the solution corresponding to a scout bee is updated by performing three swap operators and three insert operators with equal probability. | 7 | Synthesis and combined properties of novel fluorinated cationic surfactants derived from hexafluoropropylene dimer显示文摘Three novel fluorinated cationic surfactants were prepared by adopting perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentene as raw substrate. The as-obtained fluorinated cationic surfactants exhibited excellent surface properties, all of them can reduce the surface tension of water to below 20.00 mN/m at the critical micelle concentrations(CMC). The incorporation of SDS, AOS, APG or LAB into 2-(4-(3,3,4,4,5,5,5-heptafluoro-2,2-bis(trifluoromethyl)pentyl)benzamido)-N,N-dimethylethana-mine oxide 4 a could generate much lower CMC and surface tension value at the CMC than individual 4 a. Especially, the surface tension values of that combined APG/4 a can be reduced to 17.31 mN/m. | 11 | Altered spontaneous brain activity in patients with diabetic optic neuropathy:A resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging study using regional homogeneity显示文摘BACKGROUND Diabetes is a common chronic disease.Given the increasing incidence of diabetes,more individuals are affected by diabetic optic neuropathy(DON),which results in decreased vision.Whether DON leads to abnormalities of other visual systems,including the eye,the visual cortex,and other brain regions,remains unknown.AIM To investigate the local characteristics of spontaneous brain activity using regional homogeneity(ReHo)in patients with DON.METHODS We matched 22 patients with DON with 22 healthy controls(HCs).All subjects underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging.The ReHo technique was used to record spontaneous changes in brain activity.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were applied to differentiate between ReHo values for patients with DON and HCs.We also assessed the correlation between Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale scores and ReHo values in DON patients using Pearson correlation analysis.RESULTS ReHo values of the right middle frontal gyrus(RMFG),left anterior cingulate(LAC),and superior frontal gyrus(SFG)/left frontal superior orbital gyrus(LFSO)were significantly lower in DON patients compared to HCs.Among these,the greatest difference was observed in the RMFG.The result of the ROC curves suggest that ReHo values in altered brain regions may help diagnose DON,and the RMFG and LAC ReHo values are more clinically relevant than SFG/LFSO.We also found that anxiety and depression scores of the DON group were extremely negatively correlated with the LAC ReHo values(r=-0.9336,P<0.0001 and r=-0.8453,P<0.0001,respectively).CONCLUSION Three different brain regions show ReHo changes in DON patients,and these changes could serve as diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarkers to further guide the prevention and treatment of DON patients. | Gui-Ying Guo Li-Juan Zhang Biao Li Rong-Bin Liang Qian-Min Ge Hui-Ye Shu Qiu-Yu Li Yi-Cong Pan Chong-Gang Pei Yi Shao | 2021 | World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,3: | 1 |

A series of intermediates of novel branched fluorinated surfactants with CF_3 CF_2CF_2C(CF3)_2 group were synthesized from perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentene. All the steps were mild, easy-handled and cheap.
