Research progress of the fractional Fourier transform in signal processing显示文摘The fractional Fourier transform is a generalization of the classical Fourier transform, which is introduced from the mathematic aspect by Namias at first and has many applications in optics quickly. Whereas its potential appears to have remained largely unknown to the signal processing community until 1990s. The fractional Fourier transform can be viewed as the chirp-basis expansion directly from its definition, but es-sentially it can be interpreted as a rotation in the time-frequency plane, i.e. the unified time-frequency transform. With the order from 0 increasing to 1, the fractional Fourier transform can show the characteristics of the signal changing from the time domain to the frequency domain. In this research paper, the fractional Fourier transform has been com-prehensively and systematically treated from the signal processing point of view. Our aim is to provide a course from the definition to the applications of the fractional Fourier transform, especially as a reference and an introduction for researchers and interested readers. | TAO Ran DENG Bing WANG Yue | 2006 | Science in China(Series F)2006,49,1: | 99

A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. Further efforts should focus on identifying the etiology of the SARS-associated virus and ruling out conclusively the existence of otherpossible SARS-related pathogen(s). | QIN E'de ZHU Qingyu YU Man FAN Baochang CHANG Guohui SI Bingyin YANG Bao PENG Wenming JIANG Tao LIU Bohua DENG Yongqiang LIU Hong ZHANG Yu WANG Cui LI Yuquan GAN Yonghua LI Xiaoyu L Fushuang TAN Gang CAO Wuchun, YANG Ruifu Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100071, China WANG Jian, LI Wei, XU Zuyuan, LI Yan, WU Qingfa, LIN Wei, CHEN Weijun, TANG Lin, DENG Yajun, HAN Yujun, LI Changfeng, LEI Meng, LI Guoqing, LI Wenjie, L Hong, SHI Jianping, TONG Zongzhong, ZHANG Feng, LI Songgang, LIU Bin, LIU Siqi, DONG Wei, WANG Jun, Gane K-S Wong, YU Jun & YANG Huanming* Beijing Genomics Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 101300 National Center for Genome Information, Beijing 101300, China | 2003 | Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,10: | 121
Black carbon aerosols and their radiative properties in the Pearl River Delta region显示文摘The climatic and environmental effects of atmospheric aerosols are a hot topic in global science community, and radiative properties of the aerosols are one of the important parameters in assessing climatic change. Here we studied the black carbon concentration and absorption coefficient measured with aethalometers, scattering coefficient measured with nephelometers, and single scattering albedo derived at an atmospheric composition watch station in Guangzhou from 2004 to 2007. Our main results are as follows. The data of black carbon concentration and absorption coefficients measured with instruments cannot be directly used until they are measured in parallel with internationally accepted instruments for comparison, calibration, and reduction. After evaluation of the data, the result shows that the monthly mean of BC concentration varies 3.1―14.8 μg·m-3 and the concentration decreases by about 1 μg·m-3 in average over the four years; It is higher in the dry season with a multi-year mean of 8.9 μg/m3 and lower in the rainy season with a multi-year mean of 8.0 μg·m-3; The extreme maximum of monthly mean concentration occurred in December 2004 and extreme minimum in July 2007, and a 4-year mean is 8.4 μg·m-3. It is also shown that monthly mean scattering coefficient derived varies 129 -565 Mm-1, monthly mean absorption coefficient 32-139 Mm-1, and monthly mean single scattering albedo 0.71-0.91, with annual mean values of 0.80, 0.82, 0.79 and 0.84 for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, respectively. Three instruments were used to take simultaneous measurements of BC in PM10, PM2.5, and PM1 and the results showed that PM2.5 took up about 90% of PM10 and PM1 accounted for about 68% of PM2.5, and BC aerosols are mainly present in fine particulates. The variability of BC concentrations is quite consistent between the Nancun station (141 m above sea level) and the Panyu station (13 m above sea level), which are 8 km apart from each other. The concentration in higher altitude station (Panyu) is consistently lower than the lower altitude station (Nancun), and the difference of annual mean is about 4 μg·m-3. | WU Dui MAO JieTai DENG XueJiao TIE XueXi ZHANG YuanHang ZENG LiMin LI Fei TAN HaoBo BI XueYan HUANG XiaoYing CHEN Jing DENG Tao | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,8: | 58
Effects of different resuscitation fluid on severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM: To compare effects of different resuscitation fluid on microcirculation, inflammation, intestinal barrier and clinical results in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). METHODS: One hundred and twenty patients with SAP were enrolled at the Pancreatic Disease Institute between January 2007 and March 2010. The patients were randomly treated with normal saline (NS group), combination of normal saline and hydroxyethyl starch (HES) (SH group), combination of normal saline, hydroxyethyl starch and glutamine (SHG group) in resuscitation. The ratio of normal saline to HES in the SH and SHG groups was 3:1. The glutamine (20% glutamine dipeptide, 100 mL/d) was supplemented into the resuscitation liquid in the SHG group. Complications and outcomes including respiratory and abdominal infection, sepsis, abdominal hemorrhage, intra-abdominal hypertension, abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS), renal failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), operation intervention, length of intensive care unit stay, length of hospital stay, and mortality at 60 d were compared. Moreover, blood oxygen saturation (SpO 2 ), gastric intramucosal pH value (pHi), intra-abdominal pressure (IAP), inflammation cytokines, urine lactulose/mannitol (L/M) ratio, and serum endotoxin were investigated to evaluate the inflammatory reaction and gut barrier. RESULTS: Compared to the NS group, patients in the SH and SHG groups accessed the endpoint more quickly (3.9 ± 0.23 d and 4.1 ± 0.21 d vs 5.8 ± 0.25 d, P < 0.05) with less fluid volume (67.26 ± 28.53 mL/kg/d, 61.79 ± 27.61 mL/kg per day vs 85.23 ± 21.27 mL/kg per day, P < 0.05). Compared to the NS group, incidence of renal dysfunction, ARDS, MODS and ACS in the SH and SHG groups was obviously lower. Furthermore, incidence of respiratory and abdominal infection was significantly decreased in the SH and SHG groups, while no significant difference in sepsis was seen. Moreover, less operation time was needed in the SH and SHG group than the NS group, but the difference was not significant. The mortality did not differ significantly among these groups. Blood SpO 2 and gastric mucosal pHi in the SH and SHG groups increased more quickly than in the NS group, while IAP was significantly decreased in the SH and SHG group. Moreover, the serum tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-8 and C-reactive protein levels in the SH and SHG groups were obviously lower than in the NS group at each time point. Furthermore, urine L/M ratio and serum endotoxin were significantly lower in the SH group and further decreased in the SHG group.CONCLUSION: Results indicated that combination of normal saline, HES and glutamine are more efficient in resuscitation of SAP by relieving inflammation and sustaining the intestinal barrier. | Gang Zhao Jun-Gang Zhang He-Shui Wu Jin Tao Qi Qin Shi-Chang Deng Yang Liu Lin Liu Bo Wang Kui Tian Xiang Li Shuai Zhu Chun-You Wang | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,13: | 56
The Reference Genome of Tea Plant and Resequencing of 81 Diverse Accessions Provide Insights into Its Genome Evolution and Adaptation显示文摘Tea plant is an important economic crop, which is used to produce the world's oldest and most widely consumed tea beverages. Here,we present a high-quality reference genome assembly of the tea plant(Camellia sinensis var.sinensis)consisting of 15 pseudo-chromosomes.LTR retrotransposons(LTR-RTs)account for 70.38%of the genome, and we present evidence that LTR-RTS play critical roles in genome size expansion and the transcriptional diversification of tea plant genes through preferential insertion in promoter regions and introns.Genes, particularly those coding for terpene biosynthesis pro-teins,associated with tea aroma and stress resistance were significantly amplified through recent tandem duplications and exist as gene clusters in tea plant genome.Phylogenetic analysis of the sequences of 81 tea plant accessions with diverse origins revealed three well-differentiated tea plant populations,support-ing the proposition for the southwest origin of the Chinese cultivated tea plant and its later spread to western Asia through introduction.Domestication and modern breeding left significant signatures on hundreds of genes in the tea plant genome, particularly those associated with tea quality and stress resis-tance.The genomic sequences of the reported reference and resequenced tea plant accessions provide valuable resources for future functional genomics study and molecular breeding of improved cul-tivars of tea plants. | Enhua Xia Wei Tong Yan Hou Yanlin An Linbo Chen Qiong Wu Yunlong Liu Jie Yu Fangdong Li Ruopei Li Penghui Li Huijuan Zhao Ruoheng Ge Jin Huang Ali Inayat Mallano Yanrui Zhang Shengrui Liu Weiwei Deng Chuankui Song Zhaoliang Zhang Jian Zhao Shu Wei Zhengzhu Zhang Tao Xia Chaoling Wei Xiaochun Wan | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,7: | 51
Tree ring based streamflow reconstruction for the Upper Yellow River over the past 1234 years显示文摘We established a Juniperus przewalski tree ring width chronology, based on tree ring cores collected from the A’nyêmaqên Mountains. Statistical analysis showed that the chronology was highly correlated with instrumental streamflow records from previous August to current July from the Tangnaihai Station in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, with a correlation coefficient of 0.656. Streamflow for the upper reaches of the Yellow River was reconstructed for the past 1234 years. Low flow periods for the 11-year averaged streamflow reconstruction were definite as lower than mean plus 1 standard deviation, and high flow periods were higher than mean minus 1 standard deviation. Over the past 1234 years, high flows occurred 18 times, and low flows occurred 12 times. The main low flow periods were identified as AD 1140–1156, AD 1295–1309, AD 1473–1500, and AD 1820–1847, and the main high flow periods were identified as AD 846–873, and AD 1375–1400. Extremely low streamflow over the reconstruction period was seen during the late 15th century, coinciding with a widespread drought phenomenon, which took place in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau over the same period. Reconstructed streamflow shows significant low-frequency variability, which is in line with drought variability of neighboring regions, as inferred from tree rings and other proxies. Multi-taper spectral analysis suggests the existence of significant periods of 2–5, 22, 35–38, 55–62, and 114–227 years, particularly significant for cyclic variations of years 159 and 36. | GOU XiaoHua DENG Yang CHEN FaHu YANG MeiXue FANG KeYan GAO LinLin YANG Tao ZHANG Fen | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,36: | 37
Multispherical interactions and their effects on the Tibetan Plateau's earth system: a review of the recent researches显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP) is a regional Earth system showing very strong interactions among its lithosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, and anthrosphere. hese interactions manifest TP's impact on surrounding regions and relect TP's response to the global change. Quantifying the multispherical interactions is critically important to understand the TP environment. Our recent years researches including the ongoing program entitled ‘Tibetan Multi-Spheres Interactions and heir Resource-Environment Signiicance(TIMI)', the completed program entitled. ‘Paleo-Altitudes of Tibetan Plateau and Environment(PATE)', as well as the other relating projects have focused on multidisciplinary research approaches and emphasized on three major pathways: Eurasia-Indian plates collision on deep-Earth dynamics, uplit impact on Earth's mantle–crust dynamics, and contemporary interface on land surface and atmospheric dynamics. Our researches have taken in situ measurement as priority and developed several platforms of data acquisition and analysis, including the platforms of water-phase transformations, and ecosystem observations. Our ield investigations have been conducted to obtain data about stratum, paleontology, paleoenvironment, genetic diferentiation of animals and plants. We have developed conceptual and mathematical models for crust uplit formation, paleoclimate, glacial melt, water–air interface lux, vegetation climate, and soil erosion. We have also assessed the anthropogenic impacts on environment. Our researches have achieved new and reliable redating of the mantle–crust interaction and initial formation of the TP, found the interaction between tectonics and uplit of the TP and resultant paleoaltitude acting as a spreading source; discovered the interaction between the westerlies and Indian monsoon acting as a control chain that dominates the TP's contemporary environment. he scientiic results can play fundamental roles in supporting the TP's resource exploration and societal sustainable development. | Tandong Yao Fuyuan Wu Lin Ding Jimin Sun Liping Zhu Shilong Piao Tao Deng Xijun Ni Hongbo Zheng Hua Ouyang | 2015 | National Science Review2015,2,4: | 35
Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging following major ozonated autohemotherapy for treatment of acute cerebral infarction显示文摘Major ozonated autohemotherapy has been shown to promote recovery of upper limb motor function in patients with acute cerebral infarction, but whether major ozonated autohemotherapy affects remote injury remains poorly understood. Here,we assumed that major ozonated autohemotherapy contributes to recovery of clinical function, possibly by reducing remote injury after acute cerebral infarction.Sixty acute cerebral infarction patients aged 30–80 years were equally and randomly allocated to ozone treatment and control groups.Patients in the ozone treatment group received medical treatment and major ozonated autohemotherapy(47 mg/L,100 m L ozone) for 10 ± 2 days.Patients in the control group received medical treatment only.National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score, modified Rankin scale score, and reduced degree of fractional anisotropy values of brain magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging were remarkably decreased, brain function improved, clinical efficiency significantly increased, and no obvious adverse reactions detected in the ozone treatment group compared with the control group. These findings suggest that major ozonated autohemotherapy promotes recovery of neurological function in acute cerebral infarction patients by reducing remote injury, and additionally, exhibits high safety. | Xiao-na Wu Tao Zhang Jun Wang Xiao-yan Liu Zhen-sheng Li Wei Xiang Wei-qing Du Hong-jun Yang Tie-gen Xiong Wen-ting Deng Kai-run Peng Su-yue Pan | 2016 | Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,7: | 32
Analysis of factors associated with disease outcomes in hospitalized patients with 2019 novel coronavirus disease显示文摘Background Since early December 2019,the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has caused pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan,Hubei province of China. This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting the progression of pneumonia in COVID-19 patients.Associated results will be used to evaluate the prognosis and to find the optimal treatment regimens for COVID-19 pneumonia. Methods Patients tested positive for the COVID-19 based on nucleic acid detection were included in this study.Patients were admitted to 3 tertiary hospitals in Wuhan between December 30,2019,and January 15,2020.Individual data, laboratory indices, imaging characteristics, and clinical data were collected, and statistical analysis was performed.Based on clinical typing results, the patients were divided into a progression group or an improvement/stabilization group.Continuous variables were analyzed using independent samples t-test or Mann-Whitney U test.Categorical variables were analyzed using Chi-squared test or Fisher’s exact test.Logistic regression analysis was performed to explore the risk factors for disease progression. Results Seventy-eight patients with COVID-19-induced pneumonia met the inclusion criteria and were included in this study.Efficacy evaluation at 2 weeks after hospitalization indicated that 11 patients(14.1%)had deteriorated, and 67 patients(85.9%)had improved/stabilized.The patients in the progression group were significantly older than those in the disease improvement/stabilization group(66[51,70]vs.37[32,41]years,U=4.932,P=0.001).The progression group had a significantly higher proportion of patients with a history of smoking than the improvement/stabilization group(27.3%vs.3.0%,χ^2=9.291,P=0.018).For all the 78 patients, fever was the most common initial symptom, and the maximum body temperature at admission was significantly higher in the progression group than in the improvement/stabilization group(38.2[37.8,38.6]vs.37.5[37.0,38.4]°C,U=2.057,P=0.027).Moreover,the proportion of patients with respiratory failure(54.5%vs.20.9%,χ^2=5.611,P=0.028)and respiratory rate(34[18,48]vs.24[16,60]breaths/min,U=4.030,P=0.004)were significantly higher in the progression group than in the improvement/stabilization group.C-reactive protein was significantly elevated in the progression group compared to the improvement/stabilization group(38.9[14.3,64.8]vs.10.6[1.9,33.1]mg/L,U=1.315,P=0.024).Albumin was significantly lower in the progression group than in the improvement/stabilization group(36.62±6.60 vs.41.27±4.55 g/L,U=2.843,P=0.006).Patients in the progression group were more likely to receive high-level respiratory support than in the improvement/stabilization group(χ^2=16.01,P=0.001).Multivariate logistic analysis indicated that age(odds ratio[OR],8.546;95%confidence interval[CI]:1.628-44.864;P=0.011),history of smoking(OR,14.285;95%CI:1.577-25.000;P=0.018),maximum body temperature at admission(OR,8.999;95%CI:1.036-78.147,P=0.046),respiratory failure(OR,8.772,95%CI:1.942-40.000;P=0.016),albumin(OR,7.353,95%CI:1.098-50.000;P=0.003),and C-reactive protein(OR,10.530;95%CI:1.224-34.701,P=0.028)were risk factors for disease progression. Conclusions Several factors that led to the progression of COVID-19 pneumonia were identified, including age, history of smoking, maximum body temperature at admission, respiratory failure, albumin, and C-reactive protein. These results can be used to further enhance the ability of management of COVID-19 pneumonia. | Wei Liu Zhao-Wu Tao Lei Wang Ming-Li Yuan Kui Liu Ling Zhou Shuang Wei Yan Deng Jing Liu Hui-Guo Liu Ming Yang Yi Hu | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,9: | 31
A mammalian fossil from the Dingqing Formation in the Lunpola Basin, northern Tibet, and its relevance to age and paleo-altimetry显示文摘The distal extremity of a rhinocerotid humerus from the upper part of the Dingqing Formation at the Lunbori locality in Baingoin County, northern Tibet,is the first mammalian fossil found in Cenozoic deposits of the Lunpola Basin. The medial condyle of the distal trochlea of the humerus specimen from Lunbori gradually contracts from medially to laterally. The margin of the medial surface of the medial condyle is not prominent, the well-developed medial epicondyle strongly extends posteriorly, and is divided from the articular facet of the medial condyle by a groove;all of which are characteristic for the Rhinocerotidae. The medial condyle is wide at the bottom and narrow at the top.The medial collateral ligament fossa is relatively shallow, and the medial collateral ligament tubercle is very weak. The medial part of the upper margin of the medial condyle smoothly connects to the bony surface above, but there is no clear boundary between them. All of these characteristics are identical with those of Plesiaceratherium. These comparisons imply that the Lunbori specimen is closest to Plesiaceratherium gracile in the Shanwang Fauna from Linqu,Shandong Province,in size and morphology. Thus, its age is suggested to be the late Early Miocene(Shanwangian Age),about 18-16 Ma.Discovery of the rhinocerotid fossil suggests that the upper part of the Dingqing Formation deposited in the Neogene. While adjusting to paleo-temperatures of the Early Miocene,a paleo-ecosystem reconstruction indicates that the paleo-elevation was close to 3000 m in the Lunpola Basin during this time. | DENG Tao WANG ShiQi XIE GuangPu LI Qiang HOU SuKuan SUN BoYang | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,2: | 30
Paleoaltimetry reconstructions of the Tibetan Plateau:progress and contradictions显示文摘Over the last two decades, many quantitative paleoaltimetry reconstructions of the Tibetan Plateau have been published, but they are still preliminary and controversial, although several approaches have been combined paleontology and geochemistry, including vertebrate, plant, and pollen fossils as well as oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen isotopes. he Tibetan Plateau is the youngest and highest plateau on Earth, and its paleoaltimetry reconstructions are crucial to interpret its geodynamic evolution and to understand the climatic changes in Asia. Uplit histories of the Tibetan Plateau based on diferent proxies difer considerably, and two viewpoints are pointedly opposing on the paleoaltimetry estimations of the Tibetan Plateau. One viewpoint is that the Tibetan Plateau did not strongly uplit to reach its modern elevation until the Late Miocene, but another one, mainly based on stable isotopes, argues that the Tibetan Plateau formed early during the Indo-Asian collision and reached its modern elevation in the Paleogene or by the Middle Miocene. With either a geochemical or paleontological approach, the present is used as the key to the past. However, there are great diiculties because modern processes of isotopic fractionation and species for creature distribution are not easily precisely determined. In addition, the climatic and environmental backgrounds of past geological times have massive diferences from the present, and associated adjustments are inluenced by many human factors. In the future work, the applications of multidisciplinary comprehensive methods and cross-checks of their results will be productive, and we look forward to achieving more reliable estimates for paleoelevations of the Tibetan Plateau. | Tao Deng Lin Ding | 2015 | National Science Review2015,2,4: | 29

Temperature effect and thermal impact in lithium-ion batteries: A review显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries, with high energy density(up to 705 Wh/L) and power density(up to 10,000 W/L), exhibit high capacity and great working performance. As rechargeable batteries, lithium-ion batteries serve as power sources in various application systems. Temperature, as a critical factor, significantly impacts on the performance of lithium-ion batteries and also limits the application of lithium-ion batteries. Moreover, different temperature conditions result in different adverse effects. Accurate measurement of temperature inside lithiumion batteries and understanding the temperature effects are important for the proper battery management. In this review, we discuss the effects of temperature to lithium-ion batteries at both low and high temperature ranges. The current approaches in monitoring the internal temperature of lithium-ion batteries via both contact and contactless processes are also discussed in the review. | Shuai Ma Modi Jiang Peng Tao Chengyi Song Jianbo Wu Jun Wang Tao Deng Wen Shang | 2018 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2018,28,6: | 27
Seafloor hydrothermal activity and polymetallic sulfide exploration on the southwest Indian ridge显示文摘Polymetallic sulfides have attracted more attentions, which are regarded as one of the potential seabed mineral resources for their high grade of precious metal elements such as Cu,Zn,Pb,Au,and Ag.Since2007,there are four China dayang cruises(CDCs)with eight legs totally, which have been carried out to investigate polymetallic sulfides on the southwest Indian ridge(SWIR),and eight hydrothermal vents have been found.In2011,the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association(COMRA)and International Seabed Authority(ISA)signed a 15-year contract for exploration for polymetallic sulfides located on the SWIR between 46°S and 53°S.The area allocated to the COMRA is approximately 10,000 km2.In this paper,we review the recent research advances about hydrothermal activity of the SWIR by the CDCs.As for the sulfides exploration in the future, some aspects should be emphasized, such as the controlling factors of sulfide mineralization on the SWIR,prospecting methods of inactive and buried sulfide deposits, sulfides resources assessment method, and the nearbottom sulfides exploration technology systems. | Chunhui Tao Huaiming Li Xiaobing Jin Jianping Zhou Tao Wu Yonghua He Xianming Deng Chunhua Gu Guoyin Zhang Weiyong Liu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19: | 25
Neuronal autophagy aggravates microglial inflammatory injury by downregulating CX3CL1/fractalkine after ischemic stroke显示文摘Ischemic stroke often induces excessive neuronal autophagy, resulting in brain damage; meanwhile, inflammatory responses stimulated by ischemia exacerbate neural injury. However, interactions between neuronal autophagy and microglial inflammation following ischemic stroke are poorly understood. CX3CL1/fractalkine, a membrane-bound chemokine expressed on neurons, can suppress microglial inflammation by binding to its receptor CX3CR1 on microglia. In the present study, to investigate whether autophagy could alter CX3CL1 expression on neurons and consequently change microglial inflammatory activity, middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) was established in Sprague-Dawley rats to model ischemic stroke, and tissues from the ischemic penumbra were obtained to evaluate autophagy level and microglial inflammatory activity. MCAO rats were administered 3-methyladenine(autophagy inhibitor) or Tat-Beclin 1(autophagy inducer). Western blot assays were conducted to quantify expression of Beclin-1, nuclear factor kappa Bp65(NF-κB), light chain 3B(LC3B), and CX3CL1 in ischemic penumbra. Moreover, immunofluorescence staining was performed to quantify numbers of LC3B-, CX3CL1-, and Iba-1-positive cells in ischemic penumbra. In addition, enzyme linked immunosorbent assays were utilized to analyze concentrations of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α), interleukin 6(IL-6), interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β), and prostaglandin E2(PGE2). A dry/wet weight method was used to detect brain water content, while 2,3,5,-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining was utilized to measure infarct volume. The results demonstrated that autophagy signaling(Beclin-1 and LC3B expression) in penumbra was prominently activated by MCAO, while CX3CL1 expression on autophagic neurons was significantly reduced and microglial inflammation was markedly activated. However, after inhibition of autophagy signaling with 3-methyladenine, CX3CL1 expression on neurons was obviously increased, whereas Iba-1 and NF-κB expression was downregulated; TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and PGE2 levels were decreased; and cerebral edema was obviously mitigated. In contrast, after treatment with the autophagy inducer Tat-Beclin 1, CX3CL1 expression on neurons was further reduced; Iba-1 and NF-κB expression was increased; TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and PGE2 levels were enhanced; and cerebral edema was aggravated. Our study suggests that ischemia-induced neuronal autophagy facilitates microglial inflammatory injury after ischemic stroke, and the efficacy of this process may be associated with downregulated CX3CL1 expression on autophagic neurons. | Hong-Yun He Lu Ren Tao Guo Yi-Hao Deng | 2019 | Neural Regeneration Research2019,14,2: | 25

Effects of dietary yeast β-glucan on nutrient digestibility and serum profiles in pre-ruminant Holstein calves显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation of yeast β-glucan on the nutrient digestibility and serum profiles in pre-ruminant Holstein calves. Forty-two neonatal Holstein calves((39.6±4.2) kg) were randomly allotted to six groups, and each was offered one of the following diets: a basal diet(control) or the basal diet supplemented with 25, 50, 75, 100 or 200 mg of yeast β-glucan kg–1 feed(dry matter basis). The basal diet consisted of a milk replacer and a starter feed. The trial lasted for 56 d. Two digestibility trials were conducted from d 14 to 20 and from d 42 to 48. Blood samples were collected on d 0, 14, 28 and 42 for serum profile analyses. On d 56, three calves from each group were slaughtered, and intestinal samples were collected to assess the villous height, crypt depth and mucosal thickness. Although feed intake was not affected by dietary treatment(P>0.05), the average daily gain(ADG) and gain-to-feed ratios were higher(P<0.05) for the calves fed 75 mg of yeast β-glucan kg–1 feed than those in the other groups. The supplementation of yeast β-glucan at 75 mg kg–1 feed increased the apparent digestibility of dry matter(DM), crude protein(CP), ether extract(EE), and phosphorus(P)(P<0.05) and the ratio of intestinal villous height to crypt depth(V/C)(P<0.05) when compared with the control group. No effects of yeast β-glucan on the serum concentrations of total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), serum urea nitrogen(SUN) and glucose(GLU) were observed(P>0.05). Compared with the control group, supplementation of yeast β-glucan decreased(P<0.05) the serum concentrations of triglycerides(TG) and total cholesterol(TC). The serum concentration of immunoglobulin G(Ig G) and immunoglobulin M(Ig M) increased quadratically(P<0.05), whereas the serum concentration of immunoglobulin A(Ig A) was unaffected by dietary treatments(P>0.05). The supplementation of yeast β-glucan stimulated the enzymatic activity of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)(P<0.05) compared with the control group. The lysozyme(LYZ) concentration increased quadratically(P<0.05) with increasing yeast β-glucan levels. The results suggested that dietary supplementation of yeast β-glucan at 75 mg kg–1 feed improved nutrient digestibility, enhanced immunity by increasing the immunoglobulin concentration and stimulating ALP, and exerted no adverse effects on metabolism in pre-ruminant calves. | MA Tao TU Yan ZHANG Nai-feng GUO Jiang-peng DENG Kai-dong ZHOU Yi YUN Qiang DIAO Qi-yu | 2015 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2015,14,4: | 23
Convolution theorems for the linear canonical transform and their applications显示文摘As generalization of the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), the linear canonical transform (LCT) has been used in several areas, including optics and signal processing. Many properties for this transform are already known, but the convolution theorems, similar to the version of the Fourier transform, are still to be determined. In this paper, the authors derive the convolution theorems for the LCT, and explore the sampling theorem and multiplicative filter for the band limited signal in the linear canonical domain. Finally, the sampling and reconstruction formulas are deduced, together with the construction methodology for the above mentioned multiplicative filter in the time domain based on fast Fourier transform (FFT), which has much lower computational load than the construction method in the linear canonical domain. | DENG Bing TAO Ran WANG Yue | 2006 | Science in China(Series F)2006,49,5: | 21
Modeling the relationship of land use change and some geophysical indicators for the interlock area of farming and pasturing in China显示文摘This paper discusses land-use changes in the interlock area of farming and pasturing (IAFP)in northern China. It presents detailed analyses of land-use features in the IAFP, which are controlled by the macro geomorphic units and geophysical conditions-constraints or advantages. Additionally, it selects some indicators, according to the availability in acquiring and processing their quantitative data, to analyze the canonical correlations between the typical conversion of grassland and geophysical conditions. The preliminary study indicates that the physical conditions are of great advantages to the development of grassland. There exists significant correlation between land use change and some geophysical conditions. | DENG Xiangzheng, LIU Jiyuan, ZHUANG Dafang, ZHAN Jinyan, ZHAO Tao(Inst. of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, Beijing 100101, China) | 2002 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2002,12,4: | 19
