2Effectiveness and safety of moxibustion in treatment of lumbar disc herniation: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of moxibustion therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH). METHODS: Four Chinese databases and three English databases were searched from their inception to April 2018.Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included if moxibustion was used as the sole treatment or as a part of combination therapy with other treatments in patients with LDH. Two reviewers independently extracted the data and assessed the methodological quality using the Cochrane criteria for the risk of bias. The Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. RESULTS: In total, 16 RCTs including 1186 patients with LDH were analyzed. The Meta-analysis showed favorable effects of moxibustion in combination with massage therapy on the visual analog scale score compared with massage therapy alone [mean difference (MD)=? 1.32, 95% confidence interval (CI)(? 2.12,? 0.51), P = 0.001]. The subgroup Meta-analysis failed to show favorable effects of electro-acupuncture plus moxibustion on the efficacy rate compared with electro-acupuncture alone [relative risk (RR)= 1.06, 95% CI (0.98, 1.14), P = 0.15]. However, acupuncture or massage therapy plus moxibustion improved the efficacy rates compared with acupuncture or massage therapy alone [RR = 1.33, 95% CI (1.18, 1.49), P < 0.000 01][χ^2 = 2.76, P = 0.25, I2 = 27%],[RR = 1.15, 95% CI (1.06, 1.25), P = 0.001][χ^2 = 0.00, P = 0.95, I2 = 0%]. With respect to the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores, acupuncture or massage therapy in addition to moxibustion produced results different from those of acupuncture or massage therapy alone [MD = 5.58, 95% CI (4.15, 7.00), P < 0.000 01][χ^2 = 0.58, P = 0.45, I2 = 0%],[MD = 3.61, 95% CI (3.01, 4.21), P < 0.000 01]. There were no significant differences in the JOA score for subjective symptoms, objective symptoms, daily living ability, and other parameters. In six RCTs, no adverse reactions occurred during moxibustion. CONCLUSION: Whether moxibustion is an effective intervention for LDH is unclear because of the small sample size of qualified RCTs and the high risk of bias. 3Dynamic soft sensor development based on Gaussian mixture regression for fermentation processes显示文摘The dynamic soft sensor based on a single Gaussian process regression(GPR) model has been developed in fermentation processes.However,limitations of single regression models,for multiphase/multimode fermentation processes,may result in large prediction errors and complexity of the soft sensor.Therefore,a dynamic soft sensor based on Gaussian mixture regression(GMR) was proposed to overcome the problems.Two structure parameters,the number of Gaussian components and the order of the model,are crucial to the soft sensor model.To achieve a simple and effective soft sensor,an iterative strategy was proposed to optimize the two structure parameters synchronously.For the aim of comparisons,the proposed dynamic GMR soft sensor and the existing dynamic GPR soft sensor were both investigated to estimate biomass concentration in a Penicillin simulation process and an industrial Erythromycin fermentation process.Results show that the proposed dynamic GMR soft sensor has higher prediction accuracy and is more suitable for dynamic multiphase/multimode fermentation processes.Congli Mei Yong Su Guohai Liu Yuhan Ding Zhiling Liao 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,1:8

5Feature Selection for Multi-label Classification Using Neighborhood Preservation显示文摘Multi-label learning deals with data associated with a set of labels simultaneously. Dimensionality reduction is an important but challenging task in multi-label learning. Feature selection is an efficient technique for dimensionality reduction to search an optimal feature subset preserving the most relevant information. In this paper, we propose an effective feature evaluation criterion for multi-label feature selection, called neighborhood relationship preserving score. This criterion is inspired by similarity preservation, which is widely used in single-label feature selection. It evaluates each feature subset by measuring its capability in preserving neighborhood relationship among samples. Unlike similarity preservation, we address the order of sample similarities which can well express the neighborhood relationship among samples, not just the pairwise sample similarity. With this criterion, we also design one ranking algorithm and one greedy algorithm for feature selection problem. The proposed algorithms are validated in six publicly available data sets from machine learning repository. 6Fructus Broussonetae extract improves cognitive function and endoplasmic reticulum stress in Alzheimer's disease models显示文摘This study investigated the effects and possible targets of Fructus Broussonetiae extract,a traditional Chinese medicinal herb,on a model of Alzheimer's disease induced by beta-amyloid peptide 25-35 and D-galactose.The results revealed that intragastric administration of Fructus Broussonetiae significantly increased the expression of immunoglobulin-binding protein,a key factor in the endoplasmic reticulum stress-signaling pathway in rat hippocampus.In contrast,the treatment significantly decreased expression levels of PKR-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase and C/EBP homologous protein,and substantially improved learning,memory and spatial recognition dysfunction in rats.This evidence indicates that Fructus Broussonetiae extract improves spatial learning and memory abilities in rats by affecting the regulation of hippocampal endoplasmic reticulum stress and activation of the apoptosis pathway.Yinghong Li Li Hu Zhengzhi Wu Zhiling Yu Meiqun Cao Kehuan Sun Yu Jin Anmin Wu Andrew CJ Huang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,30:7
7Influence of Temperature and Salinity on Germination of Eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) Seeds显示文摘Seagrass restoration as part of ocean ecosystem protection has been launched for many years all over the world, but intensive research on this subject in China has just begun in recent years. Seed broadcasting has been widely accepted as the most potentially useful method for seagrass restoration over large areas. We examined the influence of key environmental factors on seed germination to help promote eelgrass bed restoration. Under anoxic conditions, the influence of temperature and salinity on the germination rate of eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) seeds was examined at different combinations of four temperatures (4, 9, 14, and 24℃) and nine salinities (5 to 45, increment of 5). The effect of significant interaction of temperature and salinity on germination rate was observed (ANOVA) (P<0.001). The highest germination rate (83.3 ± 3.5)% was reached in 8 weeks at 14℃ and salinity 5. Higher temperature significantly increased the germination rate at salinity 5 (P<0.001) during the whole observation period except for 24℃, while lower salinity significantly increased the germination rate at 14℃ (P<0.001). Although significant interaction was found between temperature and salinity (P<0.001), the influence of salinity was stronger than that of temperature for the germination of eelgrass seeds. 8Effects of nitrogen ion implantation on lily pollen germination and the distribution of the actin cytoskeleton during pollen germination显示文摘The effects of low energy nitrogen ion implantation on lily (Lilium davidii Duch.) pollen germination and the distribution of the actin cytoskeleton during pollen germination have been studied. Preliminary results showed that the ratio of pollen germination increased from (16.0±1.6)% to (27.0±2.1)% when implanted with nitrogen ions by 100 keV and a dose of 1013 ions/cm2. Further experiments were performed by staining the actin filaments in pollen with rhodamine-phalloidin and detected by using laser confocol microscopy. 9Advances in the application of quantum dots in tumor markers investigation显示文摘Tumor markers have been of vital importance in cancer diagnosis,treatment and monitoring. However,the sen-sitivity of current tumor markers for early diagnosis is low,reducing the clinical usefulness of tumor markers. Quantum dots are new fluorescent nanoparticles with unique photophysical and chemical properties,thus having a great potential impact on the investigation of cancer pathogenesis,early diagnosis,targeted therapy,prognosis and monitoring,when combined with tumor markers. The current research is focused on the detection of specific tumor markers or molecules based on tangible carriers such as cells and tissues. One of the most promising clinical applications would be to explore the potential of this highly sensitive labeling technique for the detecting and imagining tumor markers in serum and other body fluids,where some progresses have already been made recently. 11Synthesis of chain-like MoS_2 nanoparticles in W/O reverse microemulsion and application in photocatalysis显示文摘Chain-like MoS2assemblies consisting of hexagonal MoS2nanoparticles(20-60 nm) have been successfully synthesized in a Triton X-100/cyclohexane/hexanol/water W/O reverse microemulsion in the presence of(NH 4)2MoS 4 as the molybdenum source and NH2OH·HCl as the reducing agent.The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and UV-vis diffuse reflectance absorption spectra.The influence of synthetic parameters such as acidity,water/oil ratio(0),aging time and annealing temperature on the formation of MoS2assemblies was investigated.TEM analysis showed that these synthetic factors played important roles in controlling the size of MoS2nanoparticles and the length of the chain-like MoS2assemblies.XRD analysis indicated that the well-crystallized MoS2nanoparticles could be obtained by annealing the precursors at 700 C for2h under a flow of N2atmosphere.In addition,the as-prepared chain-like MoS2nanoparticles exhibited excellent photocatalytic H2activity in Ru(bpy) 3 2+-MoS2-H2A three-component molecular systems under visible light irradiation.LIU MeiYing LI XiaoQian XU ZhiLing LI BoNa CHEN LinLin SHAN NanNan 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,30:6
12Review on g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts显示文摘With the rapid development of economy and modern industry,serious environmental pollution and energy shortage have become major urgent challenges to the human society.Photocatalysis is a promising technology to provide green energy.As a typical metal-free polymer photocatalyst,g-C_(3)N_(4) has attracted more and more attention due to its excellent performance.Unfortunately,the fast recombination of photo-induced charges,limited light response range as well as weak oxidation ability are still the key drawback that restrict the photocatalytic performance of g-C_(3)N_(4).These problems can be effectively addressed by constructing g-C_(3)N_(4)-based heterojunctions with two or more semiconductor materials,during which the respective advantages can be integrated.Up to now,the various oxidation semiconductor photocatalysts have been tried to construct the novel S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts with g-C_(3)N_(4).Thus,this review provides a comprehensive introduction of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunctions,including the main characteristics of the S-scheme heterojunction,photocatalytic mechanisms,design rules and preparation methods of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts.Moreover,this review summarizes recently reported works on the potential applications of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme photocatalysts in various important photocatalytic reactions,including photocatalytic hydrogen production,photocatalytic degradation of contaminants,photo-reduction of CO_(2) into fuels,and photocatalytic sterilization.Finally,based on the current research progress,we propose some shortages in the preparation methods and applications of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based S-scheme heterojunctions,which are to be further investigated and resolved in this promising and creative research field.Yunfeng Li Zhiling Xia Qing Yang Linxi Wang Yan Xing 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,30:5
13Optimal capacity planning of combined renewable energy source-pumped storage and seawater desalination systems显示文摘As water scarcity is becoming a growing threat to human development, finding effective solutions has become an urgent need. To make better use of water resources, seawater desalination and storage systems using renewable energy sources(RES) are designed and implemented around the world. In this paper, an optimal capacity planning method for RES-pumped storage-seawater desalination(RES-PS-D) system is introduced. The configuration of the RES-PS-D system is clarified first, after which a cost-benefit analysis is performed using all cost and benefit components. A function for determining maximum economic benefits of the RES-PS-D system is then established, and the constraints are proposed based on various limitations. The mixed-integer linear programming algorithm is applied to solve the optimal function. A case study is introduced to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. 14Characterization and pilot functional study of a root-specific MYB transcription factor of Arabidopsis显示文摘An MYB transcription factor (AtMYB305) of Arabidopsis was structurally characterized. The biochemical activity of the protein was tested and its in vivo function was preliminarily analyzed. AtMYB305 contains two imperfect repeats (R2, R3) in its DNA binding domain. Gel mobility shift assay demonstrated that GST-AtMYB305 fusion pro-tein bound specifically to the DNA fragment that included a consensus MYB recognition sequence (TAACTG). Overex-pression of AtMYB305 in the fission yeast caused the forma-tion of elongated cells with one condensed nucleus. 15Fabrication of superstable gold nanorod-carbon nanocapsule as a molecule loading material显示文摘In this work, we fabricated a monodisperse nanocomposite by coating gold nanorods(Au NRs) with a layer of biocompatible, stable carbon, obtaining Au NR@Carbon core–shell nanocapsules, which without any functionalization could be used as a molecule loading material due to its high surface areas. In this system, the Au NR core had a high-absorption cross section for conversion of near-infrared light to heat, which could be explored for local hyperthermia. The carbon shell, which was biocompatible and stable even under concentrated acidic and alkaline conditions, was able to adsorb molecules with p–p interactions or electrostatic interactions. 16The Z-scheme g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3) photocatalysts with enhanced activity for CO_(2) photoreduction into CO显示文摘The catalytic performance of light-derived CO_(2)reduction with H_(2)O is strongly dependent on the sepa-ration efficiency of photogenerated carriers.Herein,the direct Z-scheme catalysts(g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3))of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets decorated three-dimensional ordered macroporous WO_(3)(3DOM-WO_(3))were successfully fabricated by using the in-situ colloidal crystal template method.The slow light effect of 3DOM-WO_(3)photonic crystals expands the absorption of visible light and improves the uti-lization of light energy.The Z-scheme structure of g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)catalysts is able to upgrade the separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.The g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)photocatalyst,whose formation rate of CO product is 48.7μmol g^(−1)h^(−1),exhibits the excellent catalytic activity for CO_(2)reduc-tion.The transfer pathway of stimulated electrons over the g-C_(3)N_(4)/3DOM-WO_(3)photocatalyst is proposed and discussed.The present approach provides unique insights into the rational development of high-performance photochemical systems for efficient CO_(2)reduction into valuable carbon-containing chemicals and energy fuels.Zhiling Tang Chujun Wang Wenjie He Yuechang Wei Zhen Zhao Jian Liu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2:3
17Effectiveness of moxibustion alone on lumbar disc herniation:a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the available evidence from randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of moxibustion alone for lumbar disc herniation(LDH)treatment.METHODS:A systematic search of 10 databases(until August 30,2021)was used to identify studies that reported the response rate,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)score,and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)score.Study selection and data extraction were independently performed by two reviewers.Cochrane criteria for risk of bias were used to assess the methodological quality of the trials.The Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development,and Evaluation Methodology(GRADE)were also used to test the quality of the result evidence.RESULTS:Nineteen RCTs,including 1888 patients,met the inclusion criteria.Five studies showed no difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on response rate[risk ratio(RR)=1.07,95%CI(0.98,1.16),P=0.11].Meanwhile,six studies suggested that there is no significant difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on VAS score[mean difference(MD)=-0.43,95%CI(-0.91,0.05),P=0.08].Eight studies implied that there is no significant difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on JOA score[MD=0.84,95%CI(-1.27,2.96),P=0.44].Two studies indicated that moxibustion may have equivalent effects for treating LDH in the VAS score in comparison with drug therapy[MD=-1.16,95%CI(-2.63,0.31),P=0.12].The evidence level of results was determined to be very low to low.CONCLUSIONS:Based on the existing evidence,moxibustion may not be suitable for treating LDH alone,but it may be applied as an adjuvant treatment.Furthermore,well-designed RCTs with high quality and larger samples are still needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of moxibustion alone for LDH treatment.YAO Yao ZHAO Zhenni CHEN Fengqin LENG Yufei PANG Xiangtian XU Xiao SUN Zhiling 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,1:3
18An ethanolic extract of Bailian(Radix Ampelopsis Japonicae):demonstration of colorectal cancer treatment efficacy via inhibition of β-catenin signaling in vitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the underlying mechanism of Bailian (Radix Ampelopsis Japonicae,BL) extract action on colorectal cancer (CRC).METHODS:We explored the involvement of β-catenin signaling on the anti-CRC effects of an BL ethanolic extract (BLE) in cell models by using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay,immunofluorescent staining,luciferase assay,Western blot analysis and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis.Anti-CRC compounds were quantified by high performance liquid chromatography.RESULTS:The contents of gallic acid,catechin,and epicatechin in the BLE were 0.23,1.25,and 0.18 g/kg,respectively.BLE-mediated cytotoxic and apoptotic effects were accompanied by lowered β-catenin/Tcf transcriptional activity,reduced β-catenin nuclear localization,and downregulated protein and mRNA levels of both β-catenin and molecules regulated by β-catenin.CONCLUSION:The mechanism underpinning the anti-CRC effects of BLE may involve inhibition of β-catenin signaling.Further studies are necessary to establish the role of β-catenin signaling in the action of BLE-mediated anti-CRC effects.Su Tao Wang Xinning Li Chunyu Bai Jingxuan Chi-Yan Cheng Fu Xiuqiong Li Ting Yu Zhiling 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3:3
19Atacamite and Nantokite in Kaerqueka Copper Deposit of Qimantag Area:Evidence for Cenozoic Climate Evolution of the Qaidam Basin显示文摘Using a mineralogy method to reflect climate evolution is a new approach to research Cenozoic environmental progression of the Qaidam Basin. In this paper, we present the chemical composition and crystallographic parameter of atacamite, nantokite, and tenorite in cryptocrystalline aggregates from the Kaerqueka copper deposit of Qimantag metallogenic belt by means of electron microprobe and in-situ X-ray diffraction analyses. Atacamite and nantokite occur in an intimate intergrowth as the secondary precipitation of chalcopyrite and bornite filling in the interstitial space of andradite in the Kaerqueka copper deposit, with an average composition of Cl: 12.38 wt.%, Cu: 63.76 wt.%, O: 21.46 wt.%. X-ray microdiffraction shows that the intergrowth contains nantokite with a cubic unit cell a=5.403(2) ? and atacamite with an orthorhombic unit cell a=6.030(3), b=6.883(2), c=9.114(1) ?. XRD quantitative calculation shows that the nanometric aggregate contains 36.07 wt.% tenorite, 18.41 wt.% atacamite, and 45.52 wt.% nantokite. The presence of nantokite and atacamite requires saline solutions for their formation and hyper-arid climate conditions for their preservation. Combined with the data of salt lakes and the pollen sequence of western China, we suggest that during the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the retreat of the Paratethys, saline water was forced to the surface through a basal fracture zone. In the hyper-arid climate of the Qaidam Basin, the recharge of groundwater by direct precipitation is negligible, and groundwater is derived from inflow from the salt lakes. Thus, atacamite is preserved. 20Covalent organic frameworks functionalized carbon fiber paper for the capture and detection of hydroxyl radical in the atmosphere显示文摘Developing a fast,sensitive and convenient method for the detection of hydroxyl radicals(·OH) in the atmosphere could help us know the precursor levels of atmospheric species and control air pollution.In this work,the carbon fiber paper(CFP) functionalizing with a kind of covalent organic frameworks(COFs),formed from 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(Tp) and benzidine(BD)(COF(TpBD)),was firstly used a new platform for ·OH trapping and detection.The COF(TpBD) modified CFP was acted as a filter to impregnate salicylic acid(SA) and a detector to detect 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid(2,5-DHBA) which was produced from the reaction between the impregnated SA and ’OH in the atmosphere.This method provided a linearity for 2,5-DHBA from 5.0×10^-14 mol/L 1.0×10^-9 mol/L with a detection limit of 6.9×10^-15 mol/L,which is corresponding to the amount of ·OH from 3.0×10^7 to 6.0×10^11 molecules/cm3 with the detection limit of 4.1×10^6 molecules/cm3.This COF(TpBD)-CFP platform has been successfully applied for the detection of ·OH concentration under different conditions of Yangzhou when the sampling time was shortened to 30 min.This work has provided a new method for atmospheric·OH detection with excellent sensitivity,simplicity,and high speed.Zhiling Huang Qin Xu Xiaoya Hu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:2
