1Optimization of phenol degradation by Candida tropicalis Z-04 using Plackett-Burman design and response surface methodology显示文摘Statistical experimental designs were used to optimize the process of phenol degradation by Candida tropicalis Z-04,isolated from phenol-degrading aerobic granules.The most important factors influencing phenol degradation (p<0.05),as identified by a two-level Plackett-Burman design with 11 variables,were yeast extract,phenol,inoculum size,and temperature.Steepest ascent method was undertaken to determine the optimal regions of these four significant factors.Central composite design (CCD) and response surface analysis were adopted to further investigate the mutual interactions between these variables and to identify their optimal values that would generate maximum phenol degradation.The analysis results indicated that interactions between yeast extract and temperature,phenol and temperature,inoculum size and temperature affected the response variable (phenol degradation) significantly.The predicted results showed that the maximum removal efficiency of phenol (99.10%) could be obtained under the optimum conditions of yeast extract 0.41 g/L,phenol 1.03 g/L,inoculum size 1.43% (V/V) and temperature 30.04°C.These predicted values were further verified by validation experiments.The excellent correlation between predicted and experimental values confirmed the validity and practicability of this statistical optimum strategy.This study indicated the excellent ability of C.tropicalis Z-04 in degrading high-strength phenol.Optimal conditions obtained in this experiment laid a solid foundation for further use of this microorganism in the treatment of highstrength phenol effluents.Jiangya Zhou Xiaojuan Yu Cong Ding Zhiping Wang Qianqian Zhou Hao Pao Weimin Ca 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1:48

3Research on solar aided coal-fired power generation system and performance analysis显示文摘Integrating solar power utilization systems with coal-fired power units, the solar aided coal-fired power generation (SACPG) shows a significant prospect for the large-scale utilization of solar energy and energy saving of thermal power units. The methods and mechanism of system integration were studied. The parabolic trough solar collectors were used to collect solar energy and the integration scheme of SACPG system was determined considering the matching of working fluid flows and energy flows. The thermodynamic characteristics of solar thermal power generation and their effects on the performance of thermal power units were studied, and based on this the integration and optimization model of system structure and parameters were built up. The integration rules and coupling mecha- nism of SACPG systems were summarized in accordance with simulation results. 5^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar ages of the Louzidian-Dachengzi ductile shear zone near Chifeng,Inner Mongolia and their tectonic significance显示文摘The Louzidian normal fault occurs as the eastern detachment fault of the Kalaqin metamorphic core complex. Field observations and microstructural analyses reveal that the Louzidian-Dachengzi ductile shear zone developed in its lower-plate was genetically related to sinistral strike-slips and extensional faulting. Two samples from this ductile shear zone yield 40Ar-39Ar plateau ages of 133 Ma (Bi) and 126 Ma (Kp), which are concordant with their isochron ages. The plateau age of 133 Ma (Bi) records the formation age of the ductile shear zone. The inconsistent relationship between the earlier strike-slip ductile shear zone and the later normal fault makes the Kalaqin Quasi-metamorphic core complex distinctive from Cordil-leran nietamorphic core complex. 8Preparation and luminescence characteristics of Sr_3SiO_5:Eu^(2+) phosphor for white LED显示文摘The Sr3SiO5:Eu2+ phosphor was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction. The emission spectrum of Sr3SiO5:Eu2+ shows two bands centered at 487 and 575 nm, which well agree with the theoretic values of emission spectrum. The excitation spectrum for 575 nm emission center has several excitation bands at 365, 418, 458 and 473 nm. And the results show that the emission spectrum of Sr3SiO5:Eu2+ is influenced by the Eu2+ concentration. The relative emission spectra of the white-emitting InGaN-based YAG:Ce3+ LED and Sr3SiO5:Eu2+ LED were investigated. 10Analysis on the hourly spatiotemporal complementarities between China's solar and wind energy resources spreading in a wide area显示文摘China is rich in solar and wind energy resources,of which the proportion of China's power sources has been rapidly increasing.Such fluctuating and intermittent energy sources will bring significant challenges to the safe and stable operation power system.However,making use of the spatiotemporal complementarities between different renewable energy resources is a feasible way to level fluctuating power especially when they have a widely geographical dispersion.Based on the data provided by China Meteorological Administration(CMA),this research explores the spatiotemporal complementarities between wind and solar energy resources.This paper nondimensionalizes hourly wind speed and global solar radiation data and employs several indexes to compare the smoothing effect with various combining scenarios.The results show that combining wind and solar powers within a certain area can cause a fall of zero-power or very-full power hours.Besides,combining different resources improves 'smoothness' in power output when compared with that from each individual resource.However,under hourly time scale,when the dispersion of sites is large enough,the smoothing effect of combining the dispersed wind power is very close to the combination of those two different resources.Nevertheless,this complementary effect is much better than that of just combining solar energy resources.LIU Yi XIAO LiYe WANG HaiFeng DAI ShaoTao QI ZhiPing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,7:14
11Recent Progress in Studies of the Variabilities and Mechanisms of the East Asian Monsoon in a Changing Climate显示文摘Located in a monsoon domain,East Asia suffers devastating natural hazards induced by anomalous monsoon behaviors.East Asian monsoon(EAM)research has traditionally been a high priority for the Chinese climate community and is particularly challenging in a changing climate where the global mean temperature has been rising.Recent advances in studies of the variabilities and mechanisms of the EAM are reviewed in this paper,focusing on the interannual to interdecadal time scales.Some new results have been achieved in understanding the behaviors of the EAM,such as the evolution of the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM),including both its onset and withdrawal over the South China Sea,the changes in the northern boundary activity of the EASM,or the transitional climate zone in East Asia,and the cycle of the EASM and the East Asian winter monsoon and their linkages.In addition,understanding of the mechanism of the EAM variability has improved in several aspects,including the impacts of different types of ENSO on the EAM,the impacts from the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean,and the roles of mid-to high-latitude processes.Finally,some scientific issues regarding our understanding of the EAM are proposed for future investigation.Wen CHEN Lin WANG Juan FENG Zhiping WEN Tiaojiao MA Xiuqun YANG Chenghai WANG 2019Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2019,36,9:13
12Intrinsic apoptotic pathway and G2/M cell cycle arrest involved in tubeimoside I-induced EC109 cell death显示文摘Objective: Squamous esophageal carcinoma is highly prevalent in developing countries, especially in China. Tu Bei Mu (TBM), a traditional folk medicine, has been used to treat esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) for a long term. tubeimoside I (TBMS1) is the main component of TBM, exhibiting great anticancer potential. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of TBMS1 cytotoxic effect on EC109 cells. Methods: Comparative nuclear proteomic approach was applied in the current study and we identified several altered protein spots. Further biochemical studies were carried out to detect the mitochondrial membrane potential, cell cycle and corresponding proteins' expression and location. Results: Subcellular proteomic study in the nucleus from EC109 cells revealed that altered proteins were associated with mitochondrial function and cell proliferation. Further biochemical studies showed that TBMS1-induced molecular events were related to mitochondria-induced intrinsic apoptosis and P21-cyclin B1/cdc2 complex-related G2/M cell cycle arrest. 14Effect of deformation and cooling rate on the transformation behavior and microstructure of X70 steels显示文摘The effects of the deformation in the non-recrystallization region of austenite and the cooling rate on the transformation behavior and microstructure of low-carbon low-alloy steel for pipeline application were studied on the thermal-mechanical simulator Gleeble-1500. It was shown that an increase in deformation amount can greatly increase the nucleation site of ferrite when deformed in the non-recrystallization region of austenite, and an increase in nucleation ratio can greatly refine grains. When the cooling rate is accelerated, the driving force of nucleation is increased and the nucleation rate also improves. Ultra-refine grains can be obtained by controlled rolling. The high density of ferrite nucleus, which forms along the austenite grain boundary, twin interface, and deforma- tion band are introduced in the matrix of austenite by the control of hot rolling, after which the microstructure can be refined. It was found that the acicular ferrite has a very fine sub-structure, high dislocation density, and a thin slab with ultra-fine grains. 16Counteraction of ABA-Mediated Inhibition of Seed Germination and Seedling Establishment by ABA Signaling Terminator in Arabidopsis显示文摘Seed germination and seedling establishment are important for the reproductive success of plants,but seeds and seedlings typically encounter constantly changing environmental conditions.By inhibiting seed germination and post-germinative growth through the PYR1/PYL/RCAR ABA receptors and PP2C co-receptors,the phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)prevents premature germination and seedling growth under unfavorable conditions.However,little is known about how the ABA-mediated inhibition of seed germination and seedling establishment is thwarted.Here,we report that ABA Signaling Terminator(ABT),a WD40 protein,efficiently switches off ABA signaling and is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment.ABT is induced by ABA in a PYR1/PYL/RCAR-PP2C-dependent manner.Overexpression of ABT promotes seed germination and seedling greening in the presence of ABA,whereas knockout of ABT has the opposite effect.We found that ABT interacts with the PYR1/PYL/RCAR and PP2C proteins,interferes with the interaction between PYR1/PYL4 and ABI1/ABI2,and hampers the inhibition of ABI1/ABI2 by ABA-bound PYR1/PYL4,thereby terminating ABA signaling.Taken together,our results reveal a core mechanism of ABA signaling termination that is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment in Arabidopsis.Zhijuan Wang Ziyin Ren Chunhong Cheng Tao Wang Hongtao Ji Yang Zhao Zhiping Deng Liya Zhi Jingjing Lu Xinying Wu Shimin Xu Mengmeng Cao Hongtao Zhao Liu Liu Jiankang Zhu Xia Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:10
17Kinetic analysis of self-condensing vinyl polymerization with unequal reactivities显示文摘The distribution function of the hyperbranched polymers formed from the self-condensing vinyl polymerization with unequal reactivities was derived and the differential equations for the second moments are established, based on the variable of the conversion of B* groups. The various average degrees of branching can be designed by suitable values of reactivities ratio (r) and the conversion of A group (x). In order to reach the maximum degree of branching at a specified x, r needed is dependant on the value of x. The higher the x, the less the r needed is for the maximum value of degree of branching. 18Toric Intraocular Lens vs. Peripheral Corneal Relaxing Incisions to Correct Astigmatism in Eyes Undergoing Cataract Surgery显示文摘Purpose:.To compare toric intraocular lens implantation(ToricIOL).with peripheral corneal relaxing incisions(PCRIs) for astigmatism correction in patients undergoing cataract surgery.Methods: 54 patients(54 eyes) with more than 0.75 diopter(D).of preexisting corneal astigmatism were classified as group A(0.75-1.50D) or group B(1.75-2.50D). The patients were randomized to undergo Toric-IOL or PCRIs in the steep axis with spherical IOL implantation..Log MAR uncorrected visual acuity(Log MAR UCVA), Log MAR best corrected vi sual acuity.(Log MAR BCVA),.error of vector(|EV|), surgery induced refraction correction.(|SIRC |),.and correction rates(CR) were measured 1 month and 6 months postoperatively.Results: At 6 months postoperatively, all 54 eyes had LogMAR BCVA≤0.2. Patients who underwent PCRIs and ToricIOL with Log MAR BCVA≤0.1 showed no significant differences in group A(P=1.00) or in group B(P=0.59). Group A showed no significant differences in Log MAR UCVA(P =0.70), |EV|(P=0.13), |SIRC|(P=0.71), and CR(P=0.56)in patients underwent PCRIs and Toric-IOL. However, group B showed significant differences in Log MAR UCVA(P <0.01), |EV|(P<0.01)), |SIRC|(P<0.01), and CR(P<0.01).The Log MAR UCVA and |EV | between 1 and 6 months showed no significant differences in patients in group A. 19Precise localization of small pulmonary nodules using Pre-VATS with Xper-CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil:report of 15 patients显示文摘Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the value of precise localization of nodules using pre-video-assisted thoracic surgery(VATS) Xper–CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil in the resection of pulmonary nodules using VATS. Materials and Methods: Precise localization of nodules using Xper-CT in combination with real-time fluoroscopy-guided coil and wedge resection using VATS were conducted on 15 patients with 17 small pulmonary nodules(diameter 0.5–1.5 cm) from April 2015 to January 2016. The value of localization was evaluated in terms of procedure time, type of coils, associated complications of localization, and VATS success rate. Results: The success rate of coil localization was found to be 100% in the primary stage(as shown by the CT scan), and the average procedure time was 30–45 min(35.6 ± 3.05 min). No deaths or major complications occurred. Minor complications included five incidents of pneumothorax(the morbidity was 29.4%, 5/17; no patient required chest tube drainage). The dislocation of coil was found in one patient. The results of pathological examination of 17 small pulmonary nodules revealed 11 primary lung cancers, 1 mesenchymal tumor, 3 nonspecific chronic inflammations, 1 hamartoma, and 1 tuberculosis. Two patients with primary lung cancer underwent lobectomy with mediastinal lymph node dissection. Conclusion: The preoperative precise localization of small pulmonary nodules using Xper-CT-guided coil is an effective and safe technique. It helps in the resection of nodules using VATS. 20Use of Silicone Tubes to Repair Canalicular Lacerations via a Novel Method显示文摘Purpose:To develop a novel method to repair canalicular lacerations using silicone tubes.Methods:A total of 47 adult patients(47 eyes)with canalicular lacerations were collected from the outpatient department from November 2010 to December 2012.The age ranged from16 to 53 years.Among the 47 eyes,37 had lower canalicular lacerations,6 had upper canalicular lacerations,and 4 had bicanalicular lacerations..A soft probe was made using a stainless steel acupuncture needle,which was inserted into the lumen of the proximal part of the catheter to increase its rigidity.The probe was then inserted into the lacrimal sac and nasolacrimal duct.After retrieval of the catheters,the two ends of the silicone tube were securely tied.(end to end).to the catheters..The silicon tube outside the nostril formed a Ushape.The catheters were then pulled upward until the silicone tube was completely located in the canalicular system.The catheters were cut off of the silicone tube near the site of the connection.The two ends of the silicone tube were cut short,~2mm out of the lacrimal punctum,and tied securely,end to end.The length of the tube between the upper and lower punctum was adjusted to ensure that no tension was present in the medial cathus,and the suture was removed through the nostril.The silicone tube was removed 3-10 months after this novel canalicular intubation procedure (NCI).Results:.All cases were anatomically rehabilitated after surgery..The silicone tube was removed after implanted in 3-10months (mean 4.5±1.3 months),the average follow-up time was 11.8 months after removal.In total,45 eyes in all 47eyes (95.74%)were free from obstruction.Among them,41eyes (91.11%) achieved complete success(completely disap-pearance of epiphora after tube removal),.4 eyes.(8.89%)achieved partial success.(irritation occurs under stimulation conditions,such as wind or cold conditions),4 eyes showed postoperative tearing,with three eyes having inferior lacrimal duct laceration,and one eye with superior canalicular laceration.Apart from two cases (4.26%) suffering inferior punctum splitting,no other associated issues occurred with the silicone tube or iatrogenic injury and lacrimal complications.Conclusion:For adult patients with canalicular laceration,the NCI was an effective,atraumatic surgery,which has fewer complications than traditional canalicular suture.Zhiping Liu Xiangyin Sha Xuanwei Liang Zhonghao Wang 2013Eye Science2013,28,4:8
