3Glutamate and aspartate alleviate testicular/epididymal oxidative stress by supporting antioxidant enzymes and immune defense systems in boars显示文摘Several potential oxidative agents have damaging effects on mammalian reproductive systems.This study was conducted to investigate the effects of glutamate(Glu)and aspartate(Asp)supplementation on antioxidant enzymes and immune defense systems in the outer scrotum of boars injected with H2O2.A total of 24 healthy boars were randomly divided into 4 treatment groups:control(basal diet,saline-treated),H2O2(basal diet,H2O2-challenged outer scrotum(1 m L kg^–1 BW)),Glu(basal diet+2%Glu,H2O2-challenged),and Asp(basal diet+2%Asp,H2O2-challenged).Our results showed that both Glu and Asp supplementation improved testicular morphology and decreased the genital index in the H2O2-treated boars.Glu and Asp administration increased the antioxidant enzyme activities and affected the testicular inflammatory cytokine secretion but had no effect on sex hormone levels.Furthermore,the m RNA expression of CAT,Cu Zn SOD,and GPx4 was altered in the testes and epididymis of boars treated with Asp and Glu.Glu and Asp supplementation also modulated the expression of TGF-β1,IL-10,TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1βin the testis and epididymis.These results indicate that dietary Glu and Asp supplementation might enhance antioxidant capacity and regulate the secretion and expression of inflammatory cytokines to protect the testes and epididymis of boars against oxidative stress.Wenjie Tang Jian Wu Shunshun Jin Liuqin He Qinlu Lin Feijun Luo Xingguo He Yanzhong Feng Binsheng He Pingping Bing Tiejun Li Yulong Yin 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,1:9

5Psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale显示文摘Objective:To translate the English version of Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale into Chinese and to validate the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale(CISE).Method(s):Participants were recruited from the Gynecology Department of two city hospitals.Five main processes were involved in the formation of CISE[1]:scale translation based on expert consultation[2];pre-test questionnaire development with infertile women's feedback(N=20)[3];factor structure assessed by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis(N=177)[4];assessment of reliability by internal consistency(N=177)and test-retest reliability(N=21);and[5]assessment of convergent validity with Self-rating Anxiety Scale,Self-rating Depression Scale,and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(N=177).Results:This study established a 16-item CISE.Factor analyses confirmed a onecomponent solution,which explained 54.59% of total variances and showed an acceptable model fit.Cronbach's a and test-retest correlation coefficients for the scale were 0.94 and 0.84,respectively.The CISE score was significantly correlated with anxiety(r=0.47),depression(r=0.60),positive coping style(r=0.37),and certain negative coping style items.Conclusion:This 16-item CISE is a reliable and valid measure to evaluate perceived selfefficacy among a sample of Chinese women who underwent infertility treatment.Bing Fu Pingping Yan Hang Yin Shujuan Zhu Qing Liu Yulan Liu Chanyuan Dai Guanxiu Tang Chunli Yan Jun Lei 2016International Journal of Nursing Sciences2016,3,3:2
6Longitudinal patterns of spring-intermonsoon phytoplankton biomass,species compositions and size structure in the Bay of Bengal显示文摘Vertical distributions of phytoplankton biomass,compositions and size structure were investigated during the spring-intermonsoon (April 22 to 30) of 2010 along transact 10 N of the Bay of Bengal,northern Indian Ocean.Surface phytoplankton biomass (Chl a) was (0.065 ± 0.009) μg/L,being greater than 80% of which was contributed by pico-phytoplankton (<3 μm).The Chl a concentration vertically increased to the maximal values at deep chlorophyll maximum (DCM) layer that shoaled eastwards from 75 to 40 m.The Chl a biomass at DCM layer generally varied between 0.2 and 0.4 μg/L,reaching the maximum of 0.56 μg/L with micro-phytoplankton cells (>20 μm) accounting for 58% and nano-(3-20 μm) or pico-cells for 15% and 27%,respectively.In particular,the cells concentration coupling well with phosphate level was observed at middle layer (75-100 m) of 87 to 89 E,dominated by micro-cells diatoms (e.g.,Chaetoceros atlanticus v.neapolitana,Chaetoceros femur and Pseudonitzschia sp.) and cyanobacteria (i.e.,Trichodesmium hildebrandtii),with the cells concentration reached as high as 4.0 × 10 4 and 4.3 × 10 4 cells/L.At the rest of the transact however,dinoflagellates (e.g.,Amphisdinium carterae and Prorocentrum sp.) were the dominant species,with the cells concentration varying from 0.3 × 10 3 to 6.8 × 10 3 cells/L.Our results also indicate that the regulation of large cells (micro-,nano-) on phytoplankton biomass merely occurred at DCM layer of the Bay.LI Gang KE Zhixin LIN Qiang NI Guangyan SHEN Pingping LIU Huaxue YIN Jianqiang LI Kaizhi HUANG Liangmin TAN Yehui 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:2

10Design and mechanism of agglomeration of aspirin crystals in pure solvents显示文摘Agglomeration with improved flowability for platy crystals is desirable in pharmaceutical downstream processing. The formation of agglomerates in pure solvents without the aid of bridging liquids is a convenient and low-cost method compared with complex spherical crystallization. In this work, the adhesion free energies between aspirin crystals in six solvents were calculated using Lifshitz-van der Waals acid-base theory to screen suitable solvents for agglomeration. The maximum stirring rate for agglomeration was determined by adhesion forces and dispersion forces. Then the agglomerates of plate-shaped aspirin were successfully prepared in acetone, methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol, and ethylene glycol without additives by simple cooling crystallization. The interactions between solvent and crystal surfaces were also used to explain the outcomes. A feasible mechanism for the agglomeration process of platy crystals was elucidated, involving the adhesion of dominant crystal facets at the beginning. The effect of stirring rate, cooling rate, and initial supersaturation on agglomeration degree and particle size of aspirin agglomerates were studied. 11Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 12Effect and mechanism of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide on osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects and mechanisms of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide(PSP)on osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).Methods:The mouse BMSCs were cultured and induced in osteoblast medium(OBM)containing finalconcentrations(0 mg/L,12.5 mg/L,25 mg/L,and 50 mg/L)of PSP.The proliferation and cytotoxicity of BMSCs were detected by MTT assay.Alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and Alizarin red S staining were performed after 7 days' ossification-inducing culture.The mRNA expressions of ALP,Runx2 and osteocalcin(OCN)were determined by fluorescence quantitative PCR(qPCR).The mRNA and protein expressions of Tafazzin(TAZ)(a key effector of Hippo pathway)were measured by qPCR and western blotting,respectively.Results:PSP was non-cytotoxicwithin the dose range of 12.5-50 mg/L and had no impact on the proliferation of BMSCs.The activity of ALP,the intensity of ALP staining,and the formation of mineralized nodules were increased by PSP treatment(25 and50 mg/L)(P<0.01).Moreover,administration of 25 mg/L PSP significantly enhanced the mRNA levels of osteoblastic differentiation makers ALP,Runx2 and OCN as well as the mRNA and protein expressions of TAZ(P<0.01).Conclusion:PSP could promote osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs,and the mechanisms might be related to the activation of TAZ in the Hippo signaling pathway.Pingping Wu Lei Zhang Shaohui Zong Fangna Yan Yin Xiong Wenwen Fu Bo Li Gaofeng Zeng 2018广西医科大学学报2018,35,5:0

15Diversity and geographical distribution of haptophyte Phaeocystis in the Chinese seas based on metabarcoding analysis显示文摘Phaeocystis is an important bloom-forming species and over 100 blooms have occurred since 1997 along the Chinese coasts,while only the species P.globosa was described.In this project,a total of 246 phytoplankton samples collected from the Bohai Sea,the Yellow Sea,and the East China Sea in April 2021 were analyzed to evaluate the species diversity and geographical distribution of the genus Phaeocystis based on metabarcoding 18S r DNA sequence.Four described Phaeocystis species were recognized,including P.globosa,P.pouchetii,P.jahnii,and P.cordata,and each has distinguished geographical distribution characteristics.P.globosa was the most widespread and abundant species,and P.pouchetii was found in the Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea with substantially elevated abundance.P.cordata was also a widespread species,but its abundance was relatively low,while P.jahnii gathered only in the southeastern East China Sea.Water temperature,phosphate as well as ammonium contents were found to be associated with the abundance of P.globosa,P.pouchetii,and P.jahnii significantly.Moreover,two uncharacterized Phaeocystis species were detected in the Chinese seas,indicating the diversity of the genus remains underestimated worldwide.Qingshang SONG Yue XUE Yanying ZHANG Jiehui YIN Pingping SHEN 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,6:0
16Distribution and Controlling Factors of Dissolved Gaseous Mercury and Reactive Mercury in Seawater Near Yangtze River Estuary显示文摘Complex hydrocultural conditions in the estuary affect the migration and transformation of mercury.Using two voyages in July and October 2018,Dissolved Gaseous Mercury(DGM)and Reactive Mercury(RHg)were determined to explore the source,transformation and influence of DGM content in the adjacent waters of Yangtze River Estuary in summer and autumn.The results showed the contents of DGM and RHg in summer were higher than those in autumn,and both of them were higher than those in open sea.In summer and autumn,the Yangtze River brought a higher concentration of DGM,and different flow direction and runoff resulted in differences in the high value region of the surface.The emergence of low-oxygen zones in summer was conducive to the production of DGM.In autumn,windy weather allowed seawater disturbances to promote the release of mercury from the underlying sediments,especially in shallow sea in northwest.RHg showed a higher concentration in the offshore than in the open sea in summer,but there was no such trend in autumn,reflecting the influence of less runoff input.DGM is the main product of RHg reduction,and there was a significant positive correlation between DGM and RHg in summer(r=0.356,P<0.05),while the correlation between DGM and RHg was not significant in autumn due to the influence of light intensity,wind speed and nutrients.The exchange flux of mercury in the adjacent waters of the Yangtze River Estuary was higher than that in the open sea.There was no significant difference of the release flux of mercury in summer and autumn.This article highlighted that the input of mercury from the Yangtze River runoff promotes the release of mercury in seawater,and the hypoxic zone caused by eutrophication is conducive to the production of DGM.YIN Pingping ZHENG Wen WANG Yan LIU Ruhai HE Xin SUN Haolin LI Dou 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,5:0
