1Plasmonic nanostructure design and characterization via Deep Learning显示文摘Nanophotonics,the field that merges photonics and nanotechnology,has in recent years revolutionized the field of optics by enabling the manipulation of light–matter interactions with subwavelength structures.However,despite the many advances in this field,the design,fabrication and characterization has remained widely an iterative process in which the designer guesses a structure and solves the Maxwell’s equations for it.In contrast,the inverse problem,i.e.,obtaining a geometry for a desired electromagnetic response,remains a challenging and time-consuming task within the boundaries of very specific assumptions.Here,we experimentally demonstrate that a novel Deep Neural Network trained with thousands of synthetic experiments is not only able to retrieve subwavelength dimensions from solely farfield measurements but is also capable of directly addressing the inverse problem.Our approach allows the rapid design and characterization of metasurface-based optical elements as well as optimal nanostructures for targeted chemicals and biomolecules,which are critical for sensing,imaging and integrated spectroscopy applications.Itzik Malkiel Michael Mrejen Achiya Nagler Uri Arieli Lior Wolf Haim Suchowski 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:25
2计算机导航下颌无牙颌不翻瓣种植手术和即刻负重显示文摘当今,尽量减少种植手术中的创伤已经成为了一条金标准,于是计算机导航手术技术开始逐渐兴起。尽管不翻瓣的种植手术有很多临床上的优势,但是由于不是在直视下操作,不翻瓣手术仅局限于一些简单的没有皮质骨板穿通危险的病例。本文结合下颌无牙颌病例,阐述了在计算机导航下采用的不翻瓣种植手术的治疗方案。同时介绍了图像引导种植系统(IGI,DenX Advanced Dental System)。IGI系统可以实时地显示钻针的图像,使得整个不翻瓣种植手术的过程都在监控之下。有术中准确的导航系统的保证,可以精确的实施术前制定的治疗计划,这对于牙弓缺乏参照标志的无牙颌来讲尤其具有价值。根据术前数字化治疗计划.种植体植入的位置可以十分精确,因此可以在术前制作固定的临时修复体并进行即刻负重。这种全新的手术方法使得在完全监控下行不翻瓣种植手术成为了可能,同时减小了种植修复的难度。Nardy Casap Eyal Tarazi Alon Wexler Uri Sonnenfeld Joshua Lustmann 朱一博(译) 林野(校) 2005中国口腔医学继续教育杂志2005,8,4:12
3Cytomegalovirus positive ulcerative colitis:A single center experience and literature review显示文摘AIM:To compare the clinical outcome of cytomegalovirus(CMV)-positive ulcerative colitis(UC) patients with and without antiviral therapy.METHODS:This was a retrospective case-controlled study.The database of UC patients in our institution was scanned for documented presence of CMV on colonic biopsies.Demographics,clinical data,endoscopy findings and pathology reports were extracted from the patients' charts and electronic records.When available,the data from colonoscopies preceding and following the diagnosis of colonic CMV infection were also ex-tracted.The primary outcomes of the study were colectomy/death during hospitalization and the secondary outcomes were colectomy/death through the course of the follow-up.RESULTS:Thirteen patients were included in the study,7(53.5%) of them were treated with gancyclovir and 6(46.5%) were not.Patients treated with antivirals presented with a more severe disease and 57% of them were treated with cyclosporine or infliximab before initiation of gancyclovir,while none of the patients without antivirals required rescue therapy.One patient died and another patient underwent urgent colectomy during hospitalization,both of them from the gancyclovir-treatment group.For the entire follow-up time(13 ± 13 mo),a total of 3 colectomies and one death occurred,all among the antiviral-treated patients(for colectomy:3/7 vs 0/6 patients,P = 0.19;for combined adverse outcome:4/7 vs 0/6 patients,P = 0.07).In 9/13 patients,immunohistochemistry for CMV was performed on biopsies obtained during a subsequent colonoscopy and was positive in one patient only.CONCLUSION:Gancyclovir-treated patients had a more severe disease and outcome,probably unrelated to antiviral therapy.Immunohistochemistry-CMV-positive patients with mild disease may recover without antiviral therapy.Uri Kopylov Gila Sasson Bella Geyshis Michal Tepperberg Oikawa Iris Barshack Rami Eliakim Shomron Ben-Horin 2013World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology2013,4,1:10

6Role of capsule endoscopy in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘Videocapsule endoscopy(VCE) has revolutionized our ability to visualize the small bowel mucosa. This modality is a valuable tool for the diagnosis of obscure small bowel Crohn's disease(CD), and can also be used for monitoring of disease activity in patients with established small-bowel CD, detection of complications such as obscure bleeding and neoplasms, evaluation of response to anti-inflammatory treatment and postoperative recurrence following small bowel resection. VCE could also be an important tool in the management of patients with unclassified inflammatory bowel disease, potentially resulting in reclassification of these patients as having CD. Reports on postoperative monitoring and evaluation of patients with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis who have developed pouchitis have recenty been published. Monitoring of colonic inflammatory activity in patients with ulcerative colitis using the recently developed colonic capsule has also been reported. Capsule endoscopy is associated with an excellent safety profile. Although retention risk is increased in patients with small bowel CD, this risk can be significanty decreased by a routine utilization of a dissolvable patency capsule preceding the ingestion of the diagnostic capsule. 7Antiviral therapy in cytomegalovirus-positive ulcerative colitis:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the impact of antiviral treatment on cytomegalovirus(CMV)-positive ulcerative colitis patients.METHODS:We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis(MA)of comparative cohort and casecontrol studies published between January 1966 and March 2013.Studies focusing on colectomy series and studies including only less than 3 patients in the treated or non-treated arm were excluded.The primary outcome was colectomy within 30 d of diagnosis.Secondary outcomes included colectomy during the follow-up period Subgroup analyses by method of detection of CMV,study design,risk of bias and country of origin were performed.Quality of studies was evalu-ated according to modified New-Castle Ottawa Scale.RESULTS:After full-text review,nine studies with a total of 176 patients were included in our MA.All the included studies were of low to moderate quality.Patients who have received antiviral treatment had a higher risk of 30-d colectomy(OR=2.40;95%CI:1.05-5.50;I2=37.2%).A subgroup analysis including only patients in whom CMV diagnosis was based did not demonstrate a significant difference between the groups(OR=3.41;95%CI:0.39-29.83;I2=56.9%).Analysis of long-term colectomy rates was possible for 6 studies including110 patients.No statistically significant difference was found between the treated and untreated groups(OR=1.71;95%CI:0.71-4.13;6 studies,I2=0%).Analysis of mortality rate was not possible due to a very limited number of cases.Stratification of the outcomes by disease severity was not possible.CONCLUSION:No positive association between antiviral treatment and a favorable outcome was demonstrated.These findings should be interpreted cautiously due to primary studies’quality and potential biases.Uri Kopylov Noa Eliakim-Raz Andrew Szilagy Ernest Seidman Shomron Ben-Horin Lior Katz 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,10:4

13Increased fibrosis progression rates in hepatitis C patients carrying the prothrombin G20210A mutation显示文摘AIM: To examine whether hepatitis C virus (HCV)-infected patients who carry hypercoagulable mutationssuffer from increased rates of liver fi brosis. METHODS: We analyzed DNA samples of 168 HCV patients for three common hypercoagulable gene mutations: prothrombin 20210 (PT20210), factor V Leiden (FV Leiden) and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR). The patients were consecutively recruited as part of the prospective 'Fibroscore Study' in France. The effect of the various mutations on the rate of fi-brosis was analyzed statistically and was correlated with epidemiological, clinical and biochemical data such as grade and stage of liver biopsies, patients' risk factors for liver cirrhosis, and timing of infection. RESULTS: Fifty two of the patients were categorized as 'fast fi brosers' and 116 as 'slow fi brosers'; 13% of the 'fast fi brosers' carried the PT20210 mutation as compared with 5.5% of the 'slow fi brosers', with an odds ratio of 4.76 (P = 0.033; 95% CI: 1.13-19.99) for 'fast' liver fibrosis. Carriage of MTHFR or FV Leiden mutations was not associated with enhanced liver fi brosis. 17Optical materials and metamaterials from nanostructured soft matter显示文摘Soft materials such as block copolymers,liquid crystals and colloidal assemblies are excellent candidates for use in optical applications due to their ability to spontaneously self-assemble into ordered structures on optically-relevant length scales.Some of these applications rely or optical properties that are intrinsic to the structure and chemical composition of the soft material itself,while others are reliant on the presence of inorganic nanomaterials within the soft material to produce the properties of interest.However,soft materials can be used to generate.optical phenomena that originate not just from the intrinsic properties of the nanomaterials,but from their spatial organization as well.In the latter case,exotic optical phenomena such as light focusing beyond the diffraction limit,negative index of refraction and nonlinear photonics appear.These properties originate from the collective response of multiple nanostructures organized to produce an ordered metamaterial.Soft materials,being an excellent medium to convey order on the nanoscale,can be utilized in next generation optical applications to create this kind of organization.Here,we survey how soft matter can be leveraged in optical applications by exploiting self-assembly and directed self-assembly as methods to produce ordered structures with desirable properties.We highlight applications where the soft material is the optically active component,and others where it's used in tandem with nanomaterials.Specifically,we focus on how soft materials can be used to spatially organize inorganic nanomaterials for use in optical applications where the controlled assembly of such nanomaterials is crucial.Uri R.
