1Current stage in inflammatory bowel disease: What is next?显示文摘In recent years, the incidence of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) has been on the rise, extending to countries where it was infrequent in the past. As a result, the gap between high and low incidence countries is decreasing. The disease, therefore, has an important economic impact on the healthcare system. Advances in recent years in pharmacogenetics and clinical pharmacology have allowed for the development of treatment strategies adjusted to the patient profile. Concurrently, new drugs aimed at inflammatory targets have been developed that may expand future treatment options. This review examines advances in the optimization of existing drug treatments and the development of novel treatment options for IBD.Gonzalo Jesús Gómez-Gómez ángeles Masedo Carmen Yela Maria del Pilar Martínez-Montiel Begona Casís 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,40:6
2Biological therapy for ulcerative colitis:An update显示文摘Of the diverse biological agents used for patients with ulcerative colitis, the anti-tumor necrosis factor-αagents infliximab and adalimumab have been used in large-scale clinical trials and are currently widely used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease patients. Recent studies have indicated that golimumab, oral tofacitinib and vedolizumab reportedly achieved good clinical response and remission rates in ulcerative colitis patients. Thus, we believe that the detailed investigation of various studies on clinical trials may provide important information for the selection of appropriate biological agents, and therefore, we have extensively reviewed such trials in the present study.Geom Seog Seo Soo-Cheon Chae 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,37:4
