1Quadruple therapy with furazolidone for retreatment in patients with peptic ulcer disease显示文摘AIM: To establish the efficacy and safety of a 7-d therapeutic regimen using omeprazole,bismuth subcitrate,furazolidone and amoxicillin in patients with peptic ulcer disease who had been previously treated with other therapeutic regimens without success.METHODS: Open cohort study which included patients with peptic ulcer who had previously been treated unsuccessfully with one or more eradication regimens.The therapeutic regimen consisted of 20 mg omeprazole,240 mg colloidal bismuth subcitrate,1000 mg amoxicillin,and 200 mg furazolidone,taken twice a day for 7 d.Patients were considered as eradicated when samples taken from the gastric antrum and corpus 12 wk after the end of treatment were negative for Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) (rapid urease test and histology).Safety was determined by the presence of adverse effects.RESULTS: Fifty-one patients were enrolled.The eradication rate was 68.8% (31/45).Adverse effects were reported by 31.4% of the patients,and these were usually considered to be slight or moderate in the majority of the cases.Three patients had to withdraw from the treatment due to the presence of severe adverse effects.CONCLUSION: The association of bismuth,furazolidone,amoxicillin and a proton-pump inhibitor is a valuable alternative for patients who failed to respond to other eradication regimens.It is an effective,cheap and safe option for salvage therapy of positive patients.Guilherme Eduardo Gonalves Felga Fernando Marcuz Silva Ricardo Correa Barbuti Tomás Navarro-Rodriguez Schlioma Zaterka Jaime Natan Eisig 2008World Journal of Gastroenterology2008,14,40:9
2Doubling the field of view in off-axis low-coherence interferometric imaging显示文摘We present a new interferometric and holographic approach,named interferometry with doubled imaging area(IDIA),with which it is possible to double the camera field of view while performing off-axis interferometric imaging,without changing the imaging parameters,such as the magnification and the resolution.This technique enables quantitative amplitude and phase imaging of wider samples without reducing the acquisition frame rate due to scanning.The method is implemented using a compact interferometric module that connects to a regular digital camera,and is useful in a wide range of applications in which neither the field of view nor the acquisition rate can be compromised.Specifically,the IDIA principle allows doubling the off-axis interferometric field of view,which might be narrower than the camera field of view due to low-coherence illumination.We demonstrate the proposed technique for scan-free quantitative optical thickness imaging of microscopic biological samples,including live neurons and a human sperm cell in rapid motion under high magnification.In addition,we used the IDIA principle to perform non-destructive profilometry during a rapid lithography process of transparent structures.Pinhas Girshovitz Natan T Shaked 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:5
3Research progress on solid-fueled Scramjet显示文摘The solid-fueled Scramjet is an interesting option for supersonic combustion ramjet.It shows significant advantages such as simple fuel supply and compactness,avoiding the complex system of tanks and pipelines that encountered in liquid-fueled Scramjets.The solid-fueled Scramjet could be the simplest air-breathing engine for the hypersonic flight regime.This paper presents a comprehensive and systematic review of the research progress on solid-fueled Scramjet in various institutes and universities.It summarizes a progress overview of three types of the solid-fueled Scramjet,which covers a wealth of landmark numerical and experimental results.Based on this,several relevant key technologies are proposed.Several inherent scientific issues are refined,such as the mixing mechanism of multi-phase flow and supersonic airflow,ignition and combustion mechanism of the condensed phase in a supersonic airflow,and coupling mechanism of gas and solid phase in a supersonic flow.Finally,the historical development trend is clarified,and some recommendations are provided for future solid-fueled Scramjet.Xiang ZHAO Zhixun XIA Likun MA Chaolong LI Chuanbo FANG Benveniste NATAN Alon GANY 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,1:4

5Prediction of photothermal phase signatures from arbitrary plasmonic nanoparticles and experimental verification显示文摘We present a new approach for predicting spatial phase signals originating from photothermally excited metallic nanoparticles of arbitrary shapes and sizes.The heat emitted from such a nanoparticle affects the measured optical phase signal via changes in both the refractive index and thickness of the nanoparticle surroundings.Because these particles can be bio-functionalized to bind certain biological cell components,they can be used for biomedical imaging with molecular specificity,as new nanoscopy labels,and for photothermal therapy.Predicting the ideal nanoparticle parameters requires a model that computes the thermal and phase distributions around the particle,thereby enabling more efficient phase imaging of plasmonic nanoparticles and avoiding trial-and-error experiments while using unsuitable nanoparticles.The proposed nonlinear model is the first to enable the prediction of phase signatures from nanoparticles with arbitrary parameters.The model is based on a finite-volume method for geometry discretization and an implicit backward Euler method for solving the transient inhomogeneous heat equation,followed by calculation of the accumulative phase signal.To validate the model,we compared its results with experimental results obtained for gold nanorods of various concentrations,which we acquired using a custom-built wide-field interferometric phase microscopy system.Omry Blum Natan T Shaked 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:2
