| 1 | Binding interaction of phosphorus heterocycles with bovine serum albumin:A biochemical study显示文摘Interaction between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and phosphorus heterocycles(PHs) was studied using multispectroscopic techniques. The results indicated the high binding affinity of PHs to BSA as it quenches the intrinsic fluorescence of BSA. The experimental data suggested the fluorescence quenching mechanism between PHs and BSA as a dynamic quenching. From the UV–vis studies, the apparent association constant(K_(app)) was found to be 9.25×10~2, 1.27×10~4and 9.01×10~2L/mol for the interaction of BSA with PH-1, PH-2 and PH-3,respectively. According to the F?rster's non-radiation energy transfer(FRET) theory, the binding distances between BSA and PHs were calculated. The binding distances(r) of PH-1, PH-2 and PH-3 were found to be2.86, 3.03, and 5.12 nm, respectively, indicating energy transfer occurs between BSA and PHs. The binding constants of the PHs obtained from the fluorescence quenching data were found to be decreased with increase of temperature. The negative values of the thermodynamic parameters ΔH, ΔS and ΔG at different temperatures revealed that the binding process is spontaneous; hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interaction were the main force to stabilize the complex. The microenvironment of the protein-binding site was studied by synchronous fluorescence and circular dichroism(CD) techniques and data indicated that the conformation of BSA changed in the presence of PHs. Finally, we studied the BSA-PHs docking using Auto Dock and results suggest that PHs is located in the cleft between the domains of BSA. | Swarup Roy Raj Kumar Nandi Sintu Ganai K.C. | 12 | Comparing accuracy of cochlear measurements on magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography:A step towards radiation-free cochlear implantation显示文摘Objective:Computed Tomography(CT)and Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)are commonly employed in pre-operative evaluation for cochlear implant surgery.However,with a decrease in the age of implantation,even minor radiation exposure can cause detrimental effects on children over their lifetime.The current study compares different cochlear measurements from CT and MRI scans and evaluates the feasibility of using only an MRI scan for radiological evaluation before cochlear implantation.Methods:A longitudinal observational study was conducted on 94 ears/47 children,employing CT and MRI scans.The CT and MRI scan measurements include,A value,B value,Cochlear duct length(CDL),twoturn cochlear length,alpha and beta angles to look for cochlear orientation.Cochlear nerve diameter was measured using MRI.The values were compared.Results:The mean difference between measurements from CT and MRI scans for A value,B value,CDL,and two-turn cochlear length values was 0.567±0.413 mm,0.406±0.368 mm,2.365±1.675 mm,and 2.063±1.477 mm respectively without any significant difference.The alpha and beta angle measures were comparable,with no statistically significant difference.Conclusion:The study suggests that MRI scans can be the only radiological investigation needed with no radiation risk and reduces the cost of cochlear implant program in the paediatric population.There is no significant difference between the measurements obtained from CT and MRI scans.However,observed discrepancies in cochlear measurements across different populations require regionally or race-specific standardized values to ensure accurate diagnosis and precision in cochlear implant surgery.This aspect must be addressed to ensure positive outcomes for patients. | Anurita Swarup Vinusree Karakkandy Preetam Chappity Suprava Naik Sanjay Kumar Behera Pradipta Kumar Parida Mohnish Grover Gaurav Gupta Prajna Paramita Giri Saurav Sarkar Pradeep Pradhan Dillip Kumar Samal Aswathi Kallyadan Veetil Asutosh Adhikari Saurav Nayak | 2023 | Journal of Otology2023,18,4: | 0 |

| 14 | Model-based reinforcement learning for router port queue configurations显示文摘Fifth-generation(5G)systems have brought about new challenges toward ensuring Quality of Service(QoS)in differentiated services.This includes low latency applications,scalable machine-to-machine communication,and enhanced mobile broadband connectivity.In order to satisfy these requirements,the concept of network slicing has been introduced to generate slices of the network with specific characteristics.In order to meet the requirements of network slices,routers and switches must be effectively configured to provide priority queue provisioning,resource contention management and adaptation.Configuring routers from vendors,such as Ericsson,Cisco,and Juniper,have traditionally been an expert-driven process with static rules for individual flows,which are prone to sub optimal configurations with varying traffic conditions.In this paper,we model the internal ingress and egress queues within routers via a queuing model.The effects of changing queue configuration with respect to priority,weights,flow limits,and packet drops are studied in detail.This is used to train a model-based Reinforcement Learning(RL)algorithm to generate optimal policies for flow prioritization,fairness,and congestion control.The efficacy of the RL policy output is demonstrated over scenarios involving ingress queue traffic policing,egress queue traffic shaping,and one-hop router coordinated traffic conditioning.This is evaluated over a real application use case,wherein a statically configured router proved sub optimal toward desired QoS requirements.Such automated configuration of routers and switches will be critical for multiple 5G deployments with varying flow requirements and traffic patterns. | Ajay Kattepur Sushanth David Swarup Kumar Mohalik | 2021 | Intelligent and Converged Networks2021,2,3: | 0 |
| 15 | Differential RNA Editing of Mitochondrial Genes in WA-Cytoplasmic Based Male Sterile Line Pusa 6A, and Its Maintainer and Restorer Lines显示文摘RNA editing changes the nucleotides at the transcript level of mitochondrial genes which results in synthesis of functional proteins.This study was designed to find the editing sites which could be implicated in male fertility restoration and to develop editing based markers for differentiation of cytoplasmic male sterility and maintainer lines from each other.DNA and RNA from young panicles were isolated from three-line system of hybrid rice PRH10,wild abortive(WA)cytoplasm based male sterile(A line Pusa 6A),maintainer(B line Pusa 6B)and restorer(R line PRR78)lines.Pusa 6A and PRR78 having the same WA cytoplasm are allo-nuclear and iso-cytpolasmic lines.The genomic and cDNA amplicons for eight mitochondrial genes(18SrRNA,atp6,atp9,cobII,coxI,coxIII,nadI and rps3)were sequenced and compared.Differences in genomic and cDNA sequences were considered as editing.Two hundred and thirty editing sites having base substitution or insertion/deletion were identified with the highest in 18SrRNA(5.74%)and the lowest in coxI(0.60%).The highest editing sites were observed in fertile maintainer Pusa 6B followed by PRR78 and Pusa 6A,of which random five editing sites in five different rice mitochondrial transcripts namely atp9,cobII,coxIII,rps3 and 18SrRNA were chosen and validated through cleaved amplified polymorphism sequence(CAPS)analysis and found to be partially edited in four genes.The identical editing sites of different mitochondrial genes from maintainer and restorer lines might reflect their possible contribution to fertility restoration of sterile WA cytoplasm. | Umakanta NGANGKHAM Swarup Kumar PARIDA Ashok Kumar SINGH Trilochan MOHAPATRA | 2019 | Rice science2019,26,5: | 0 |
