1HEAT TRANSFER BEHAVIOR OF SUPERALLOY DROPLETS DURING SPRAY FORMING显示文摘Based on the Newtonian heat transfer formulation and classical heterogeneous nucleation theory, a mathematical model has been established to predict the profile of flight velocity, heat transfer coefficient, temperature, solid fraction and cooling rate of atomizing droplets for a superalloy. The results indicated that above parameters change with different droplet size and flight distance. The changing trend as well as the mechanism for the change are described and discussed.J.F. Sun, J. 2EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON REACTION SYNTHESIS OF TiC IN Al-Ti-C SYSTEM显示文摘The reaction process and mechanistn of reaction synthesis of TiC in Al-Ti-C system have been investigated in detail by observing the microstructure of the water quenched preform with SEM and EDX. The results showed that the reaction processing can be divided into three stages: aluminium powder is melted firstly, then titanium dissolves in the melted aluminium and Al3Ti is formed around titanium powder, titanium concentrates around carbon powder and a Ti-rich layer is observed around carbon pariicles,in which titanium atom reacts with carbon atom to synthesize TiC;TiC precipitates out of the melt, and diffuses out of the layer. 3NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF ATOMIZATION GAS FIELDS IN VARIOUS ATOMIZING PROCESSES显示文摘A Computational Fluid Dynamics Software was used to calculate the atomizing gas fields generated by a self-designed atomizer and to analyze the effects of key atomizing variables such as gas pressure and protrusion length of delivery tube on the gas flow state at the tip of or inside the delivery tube. Increasing the length of delivery tube to a certain extent, the eddy flow region with positive pressure moves away from the tip of delivery tube, which is favorable to achieve the effective atomization of the melt.F.Y. 14THE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF ELECTROPLATEDSHEET CONTAINING RS ALUMINUM ALLOY POWDERS显示文摘Baded on the study of nickel electroplating technology at room temperature, the plated sheet containing rapidly solidified Al-Fe-Cu- V-Si-Ni-Ce-Zr aluminum alloy powders is constructed successfully. The powders and nickel matrix are combined well in the sheet. It can be used to prepare the observation specimen for TEM and determine the hardness of single powder particle as solidified and after heat-treated. The advantages of this method are the realization of heat treatment of powders and the TEM observation of non-interfered microstructure of powders in the size of several microns.Y.S. Dong and P.H.
