| 2 | Numerical Simulation of Electroosmotic Flow near Earthworm Surface显示文摘The electroosmotic flow near an earthworm surface is simulated numerically to further understand the anti soil adhesion mechanism of earthworm. A lattice Poisson method is employed to solve electric potential and charge distributions in the electric double layer along the earthworm surface. The external electric field is obtained by solving a Laplace equation. The electroosmotic flow controlled by the Navier-Stokes equations with external body force is simulated by the lattice Boltzmann method. A benchmark test shows that accurate electric potential distributions can be obtained by the LPM. The simulation shows that the moving vortices, which probably contribute to anti soil adhesion, are formed near earthworm body surface by the nonuniform and variational electrical force. | Y.Q. | 6 | EFFECT OF Cu-Ni CONTENT ON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-90NiFe204)CERMET INERT ANODE FOR ALUMINUM ELECTROLYSIS显示文摘(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-9ONiFe_2O_4)cermet inert anodes containing metal Cu-Ni 0,5,10, 15 and 20 wt pct were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na_3AlF_6-Al_2O_3 melts was investigated.The results indicate that the content of metal Cu-Ni has little effect on the steady-state concentration of Ni in the electrolyte and the values could not be used to effectively differentiate their corrosion resistance.The steady-state concentration of Fe decreases from 304×10^(-6)to 168×10^(-6)and that of Cu increases from 21×10^(-6)to 71×10^(-6)with the content of metal Cu-Ni increasing from 0 to 20 wt pct.Post-examination shows that metallic phase Cu-Ni is corroded preferentially during electrolysis and many pores are left at the anode surface.Considering the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity,the cermet containing metal Cu-Ni 5 wt pct should be selected and studied further. | Z.L. | 8 | THERMAL STRESSES RELAXATION DESIGN OF Ni/NiFe_(2)O_(4) SYSTEM FUNCTIONALLY GRADED CERMET INERT ANODE显示文摘The thermal stresses relaxation of Ni/NiFe2O4 system functionally graded cermet inert anode for aluminum electrolysis was optimally designed. The transient thermal stresses of the inert anode under complex boundary condition during high-temp (955°C) electrolysis were calculated using the finite-element software ANSYS, the influence of different parameters on the distribution of the thermal stresses were analyzed. The results showed that, during the process of thermal shock, the thermal hoop tensile stress on the surface of the anode is very large, which is possibly the major cause of anode crack; when the radius of the anode is between 0.05-0.15m, a range that can be realized by recent manufacturing technology, the optimum composition distribution exponent p is 0.25; The hoop tensile stresses reduce with the decrease of anode scale and also decrease with the decrease of the convection coefficient between the electrolyte and the anode. | J. | 9 | EFFECT OF STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS ON THE THERMAL STRESS OF A NiFe_(2)O_(4)-BASED CERMET INERT ANODE IN ALUMINUM ELECTROLYSIS显示文摘Inert anode has been a hot issue in the aluminum industry for many decades. With the help of FEA(finite element analysis) software ANSYS,a model was developed to simulate the thermal stress distribution working condition of an inert anode. To reduce its thermal stress,the effect of some parameters on the thermal stress distribution was investigated,including the anode height,the anode radius,the hole depth,the hole radius,and the radius of inner chamfer and outer chamfer. The results showed that in the actual working condition of an inert anode,there existed a large axial tensile stress near the tangent interface between the anode and bath,which was the major cause of anode breaking. Increasing the anode height and reducing the hole depth properly seemed to be beneficial for the stress distribution. With the increase of anode radius,the stress distribution became better first and then deteriorated,the reasonable value was between 0.045 to 0.06m. The hole radius had a significant effect on the stress and a smaller radius would reduce the thermal stress. | 11 | Influence of Co Content on Raman and Photoluminescence Spectra of Co Doped ZnO Nanowires显示文摘Co doped ZnO nanowires with different Co contents have been fabricated by a chemical vapor deposition method. X-ray diffraction results show that all the samples are of single phase and crystallize in wurtzite ZnO structure. The lattice parameter a increases with increasing Co content, while the parameter c has no obvious change with increasing Co. Raman spectra show that the nonpolar E2(High) mode becomes broad and weak with the doping of Co, which indicates that the incorporation of Co causes structural disorder in the crystalline columnar ZnO lattice. The photoluminescence spectra exhibit that the position of the ultraviolet emission shifts to short wavelength and the intensity decreases with increasing Co. The green emission is affected by two contrary factors. The alloys are multiphase. C15 Laves phase occurs as a main phase accompanying with C14 phase and other minor phases, indicating that Ni element is C15-stabilized element for ZrMn2 alloy. The phase abundance and lattice parameters of Laves phase are influenced significantly by Ni substitution. The Zr(Mn0.45 Ni0.55)2 alloy with the highest amount of C15 phase exhibits the maximum electrochemical capacity of 242m Ah/g. | 14 | THE LIGHT INDUCED CHANGE IN TRANSIENT PHOTOCONDUC-TIVITY OF POLYMORPHOUS SILICON FILMS显示文摘The decays of transient photoconductivity and their light-induced changes of polymorphous silicon (pm-Si:H) films were investigated. The decays can be fit fairly well by a sum of two exponential decay functions, which indicates that there are two kinds of traps contributing to the process. The light-induced changes of the concentration and energy level of the traps were estimated. | 17 | An analysis of the chaotic motion of particles of different sizes in a gas fluidized bed显示文摘The dynamic behavior of individual particles during the mixing/segregation process of particle mixtures in a gas fluidized bed is analyzed. The analysis is based on the results generated from discrete particle simulation, with the focus on the trajectory of and forces acting on individual particles. Typical particles are selected representing three kinds of particle motion: a flotsam particle which is initially at the bottom part of the bed and finally fluidized at the top part of the bed; a jetsam particle which is initially at the top part of the bed and finally stays in the bottom de-fluidized layer of the bed; and a jetsam particle which is intermittently joining the top fluidized and bottom de-fluidized layers. The results show that the motion of a particle is chaotic at macroscopic or global scale, but can be well explained at a microscopic scale in terms of its interaction forces and contact conditions with other particles, particle-fluid interaction force, and local flow structure.
