1Optimization of N18 Zirconium Alloy for Fuel Cladding of Water Reactors显示文摘In order to optimize the microstructure and composition of N18 zirconium alloy(Zr-1Sn-0.35Nb-0.35Fe-0.1Cr,in mass fraction,%),which was developed in China in 1990s,the effect of microstructure and composition variation on the corrosion resistance of the N18 alloy has been investigated.The autoclave corrosion tests were carried out in super heated steam at 400 ℃/10.3 MPa,in deionized water or lithiated water with 0.01 mol/L LiOH at 360 ℃/18.6 MPa.The exposure time lasted for 300-550 days according to the test temperature.The results show that the microstructure with a fine and uniform distribution of second phase particles(SPPs),and the decrease of Sn content from 1%(in mass fraction,the same as follows) to 0.8% are of benefit to improving the corrosion resistance;It is detrimental to the corrosion resistance if no Cr addition.The addition of Nb content with upper limit(0.35%) is beneficial to improving the corrosion resistance.The addition of Cu less than 0.1% shows no remarkable influence upon the corrosion resistance for N18 alloy.Comparing the corrosion resistance of the optimized N18 with other commercial zirconium alloys,such as Zircaloy-4,ZIRLO,E635 and E110,the former shows superior corrosion resistance in all autoclave testing conditions mentioned above.Although the data of the corrosion resistance as fuel cladding for high burn-up has not been obtained yet,it is believed that the optimized N18 alloy is promising for the candidate of fuel cladding materials as high burn-up fuel assemblies.Based on the theory that the microstructural evolution of oxide layer during corrosion process will affect the corrosion resistance of zirconium alloys,the improvement of corrosion resistance of the N18 alloy by obtaining the microstructure with nano-size and uniform distribution of SPPs,and by decreasing the content of Sn and maintaining the content of Cr is discussed.B.X. 2INTERACTION OF PRECIPITATION AND RECRYSTALLIZATION IN RAPIDLY SOLIDIFIED Cu-Cr-Zr-Mg ALLOY显示文摘In this paper; the recrystallization process during aging for a rapidly solidified Cu-Cr-Zr-Mg alloy has been investigated. It is found that the discotinuous crystallization process has been partially retarded by the ultra-fine and dispersed precipitation upon aging after deformation. Thus, a phenomenon of combined in situ and discontinuous recrystallization has been observed in the rapidly solidified Cu-Cr-Zr-Mg alloy.On the nucleation and growth of recrystallization, the precipitated phases are coarscned and dissolved in the front of grain boundaries following a re-precipitation in the recrystallization area,which results in the much more dispersed precipitates.Liu, P. 3NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE THERMO-MECHANICAL PROCESS FOR BEAM BLANK CONTINUOUS CASTING显示文摘The aim of this study was to simulate the solidification process of beam blank continuous casting, and then find the reasons for the typical defects of the beam blank. A two-dimensional transient coupled finite element model has been developed to compute the temperature and stress profile in beam blank continuous casting. The enthalpy method was used in the heat conduction equation. The thermo-mechanical property in the mushy zone was taken into consideration in this calculation. It is shown that at the mold exit the thickness of the shell had its maximum value at the flange tip and its minimum value at the fillet. The temperature had a great fluctuation on the surface of the beam blank in the secondary cooling zone. At the unbending point, the surface temperature of the web was in the brittleness temperature range under the present condition. To ensure the quality, it is necessary to weaken the intensity of secondary cooling. At the mold exit the equivalent stress and strain have higher values at the flange tip and at the web. From the spray 1 to the unbending point, the maximum values of stress and strain gradually moved to the internal section of the flange tip and the web. However, whenever, there were bigger stress and strain values near the flange tip and the web than in the other parts, it must be very easy to generate cracks at those positions. Now, online verification of this simulation has been developed, which has proved to be very useful and efficient to instruct the practical production of beam blank continuous casting.W. Chen Y.Z. 4STUDY ON VERTICAL WATER TEMPERATURE MODEL FOR MIYUN RESERVOIR显示文摘According to the characters of the Miyun reservoir located in northeast Beijing, one dimensional method is used to establish the mathematical model of temperature for the reservoir. In this model the heat exchange between water surface and atmosphere, effective diffusion, inflows, outflows, and thermal advection are considered comprehensively. The effective diffusion coefficient, decay coefficient of short wave in water, etc. are calibrated based on the observed stratification data of 1991 in the reservoir. The mathematical model is verified well with the data of 1992. This model can be used to predict the temperature distribution along the vertical direction for the Miyun reservoir and other similar reservoir.Li, Y.L. Chen, Y.C.
