| 1 | Development of a model to simulate soil heavy metals lateral migration quantity based on SWAT in Huanjiang watershed,China显示文摘Lateral transportation of soil heavy metals in rainfall events could significantly increase the scope of pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a model with high accuracy to simulate the migration quantity of heavy metals. A model for heavy metal migration simulation was developed based on the SWAT(Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model. This model took into consideration the influence of soil p H value, soil particle size, runoff volume, sediment amount,concentration of water-soluble heavy metals dissolved in runoff and insoluble absorbed to the soil particles. This model was reasonable in Huanjiang watershed, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, south China, covering an area of 273 km^2. The optimal drainage area threshold was determined by analyzing the effects of watershed subdivision on the simulation results to ensure the simulation accuracy. The main conclusions of this paper were:(1) watershed subdivision could affect simulation migration quantity of heavy metals;(2) the quantity of heavy metals transported by sediment accounted for 97%–99% of the total migration quantity in the study watershed. Therefore, sediment played the most important role in heavy metal migration;(3) the optimal drainage area threshold percentage to ensure high simulation accuracy was determined to be 2.01% of the total watershed;(4) with the optimal threshold percentage, this model could simulate the migration quantity of As, Pb and Cd accurately at the total watershed and subwatershed level. | 2 | Neomycin biosynthesis is regulated positively by AfsA-g and NeoR in Streptomyces fradiae CGMCC 4.7387显示文摘Neomycins are a group of aminoglycoside antibiotics with both clinical and agricultural applications.To elucidate the regulatory mechanism of neomycin biosynthesis,we completed draft genome sequencing of a neomycin producer Streptomyces fradiae CGMCC 4.7387 from marine sediments,and the neomycin biosynthesis gene cluster was identified.Inactivation of the afsA-g gene encoding a γ-butyrolactone(GBL) synthase in S.fradiae CGMCC 4.7387 resulted in a significant decrease of neomycin production.Quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcriptional level of neoR and the aphA-neoGH operon were reduced in the afsA-g::aac(3)Ⅳ mutant.Interestingly,a conserved binding site of AdpA,a key activator in the GBL regulatory cascade,was discovered upstream of neoR,a putative regulatory gene encoding a protein with an ATPase domain and a tetratricopeptide repeat domain.When neoR was inactivated,the neomycin production was reduced about 40%in comparison with the WT strain.Quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcriptional levels of genes in the aphA-neoGH operon were reduced clearly in the neoR::aac(3)Ⅳ mutant.Finally,the titers of neomycin were improved considerably by overexpression of qfsA-gand neoR in S.fradiae CGMCC 4.7387. | Xiangxi Meng Wenzhao Wang Zhoujie Xie Pengwei Li Yue Li Zhengyan Guo Yingjian Lu Jie Yang Kaile Guan Zhaoxin Lu Huarong Tan Yihua Chen | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9: | 7 |
| 3 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 4 | Construction of vesicle CdSe nano-semiconductors photocatalysts with improved photocatalytic activity:Enhanced photo induced carriers separation efficiency and mechanism insight显示文摘Visible-light-driven photocatalysis as a green technology has attracted a lot of attention due to its potential applications in environmental remediation. Vesicle Cd Se nano-semiconductor photocatalyst are successfully prepared by a gas template method and characterized by a variety of methods. The vesicle Cd Se nano-semiconductors display enhanced photocatalytic performance for the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride, the photodegradation rate of78.824% was achieved by vesicle Cd Se, which exhibited an increase of 31.779% compared to granular Cd Se. Such an exceptional photocatalytic capability can be attributed to the unique structure of the vesicle Cd Se nano-semiconductor with enhanced light absorption ability and excellent carrier transport capability. Meanwhile, the large surface area of the vesicle Cd Se nano-semiconductor can increase the contact probability between catalyst and target and provide more surface-active centers. The photocatalytic mechanisms are analyzed by active species quenching. It indicates that h+and UO_2^-are the main active species which play a major role in catalyzing environmental toxic pollutants. | 10 | Solar-tracking methodology based on refraction-polarization in Snell's window for underwater navigation显示文摘Underwater navigation system is an indispensable part for autonomous underwater vehicles.Due to the indiscernibility of satellite signal,however,the underwater navigation problem is quite challenging,and a satellite-free navigation scheme should be looked for.Polarization navigation,inspired by insects’capability of autonomous homing and foraging,is an alternative solution to satellite navigation with great application potential.Underwater polarization provides an indirect sun compass to animals for orientation determination.However,it is difficult to apply terrestrial solar-tracking methodologies in underwater situations due to the refraction of polarized skylight at the air–water interface.To resolve this issue,an underwater solar-tracking algorithm is developed based on the underwater refraction-polarization pattern inside the Snell’s window.By employing Snell’s law and Fresnel refraction formula to decouple the refractive ray bending and polarization deflection,the celestial polarization pattern is obtained based on underwater measurement.To further improve the accuracy,the degree of polarization is employed as a weight factor for E-vector.A long-lasting underwater experiment was conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach,and the results showed the root-mean-square errors of solar zenith and azimuth employing this algorithm were 0.3°and 1.3°,respectively.Our experimental results show that the refraction-polarization pattern inside the Snell’s window exhibits immense potential to improve the solar-tracking accuracy for underwater navigation. | Pengwei HU Jian YANG Lei GUO Xiang YU Wenshuo LI | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3: | 1 |

| 17 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of | 20 | Isolation and comparative proteomic analysis of mitochondria from the pulp of ripening citrus fruit显示文摘Mitochondria are crucial for the production of primary and secondary metabolites,which largely determine the quality of fruit.However,a method for isolating high-quality mitochondria is currently not available in citrus fruit,preventing high-throughput characterization of mitochondrial functions.Here,based on differential and discontinuous Percoll density gradient centrifugation,we devised a universal protocol for isolating mitochondria from the pulp of four major citrus species,including satsuma mandarin,ponkan mandarin,sweet orange,and pummelo.Western blot analysis and microscopy confirmed the high purity and intactness of the isolated mitochondria.By using this protocol coupled with a label-free proteomic approach,a total of 3353 nonredundant proteins were identified.Comparison of the four mitochondrial proteomes revealed that the proteins commonly detected in all proteomes participate in several typical metabolic pathways(such as tricarboxylic acid cycle,pyruvate metabolism,and oxidative phosphorylation)and pathways closely related to fruit quality(such asγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)shunt,ascorbate metabolism,and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites).In addition,differentially abundant proteins(DAPs)between different types of species were also identified;these were found to be mainly involved in fatty acid and amino acid metabolism and were further confirmed to be localized to the mitochondria by subcellular localization analysis.In summary,the proposed protocol for the isolation of highly pure mitochondria from different citrus fruits may be used to obtain high-coverage mitochondrial proteomes,which can help to establish the association between mitochondrial metabolism and fruit storability or quality characteristics of different species and lay the foundation for discovering novel functions of mitochondria in plants. | Xin Li Yingfang Chai Hongbin Yang Zhen Tian Chengyang Li Rangwei Xu Chunmei Shi Feng Zhu Yunliu Zeng Xiuxin Deng Pengwei Wang Yunjiang Cheng | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 0 |
