1TGF-β/BMP signaling and other molecular events: regulation of osteoblastogenesis and bone formation显示文摘Transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β)/bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) plays a fundamental role in the regulation of bone organogenesis through the activation of receptor serine/threonine kinases. Perturbations of TGF-β/BMP activity are almost invariably linked to a wide variety of clinical outcomes, i.e., skeletal, extra skeletal anomalies, autoimmune, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. Phosphorylation of TGF-β(I/II) or BMP receptors activates intracellular downstream Smads, the transducer of TGF-β/BMP signals. This signaling is modulated by various factors and pathways, including transcription factor Runx2. The signaling network in skeletal development and bone formation is overwhelmingly complex and highly time and space specific.Additive, positive, negative, or synergistic effects are observed when TGF-β/BMP interacts with the pathways of MAPK, Wnt, Hedgehog(Hh), Notch, Akt/m TOR, and mi RNA to regulate the effects of BMP-induced signaling in bone dynamics. Accumulating evidence indicates that Runx2 is the key integrator, whereas Hh is a possible modulator, mi RNAs are regulators, and b-catenin is a mediator/regulator within the extensive intracellular network. 2Modeling,Parameter Measurement,and Control of PMSG-based Grid-connected Wind Energy Conversion System显示文摘The design of reliable controllers for wind energy conversion systems(WECSs)requires a dynamic model and accurate parameters of the wind generator.In this paper,a dynamic model and the parameter measurement and control of a direct-drive variable-speed WECS with a permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG)are presented.An experimental method is developed for measuring the key parameters of the PMSG.The measured parameters are used in the design of the controllers.The generator-side converter is controlled using a vector control scheme that maximizes the power extraction under varying wind speeds.A model predictive controller(MPC)is designed for the grid-side voltage source converter(VSC)to regulate the active and reactive power flows to the power grid by controlling the d-and q-axis currents in the synchronous reference frame.The MPC predicts the future values of the control variables and takes control actions based on the minimum value of the cost functions.To comply with the grid code requirement,a modified design approach for an LCL filter is presented and incorporated into the system.The design process is simple and incorporates significant filter parameters while avoiding iterative calculations.The comparative analysis of the designed filter with conventional L,LC,and iterative LCL filters demonstrates the effectiveness of the modified design approach.The proposed wind energy system with MPC and LCL filter is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink and experimentally implemented in the laboratory using the dSpace digital signal processor(DSP)system.The simulation and experimental results validate the efficacy of the designed controllers using the measured parameters and show dynamic and steady-state performance under varying wind speeds.Mohammad Kamruzzaman Khan Prince Graduate Mohammad TArif Ameen Gargoom Aman MTOo Md Enamul Haque 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,5:3
3Adaptive green traffic signal controlling using vehicular communication显示文摘The importance of using adaptive traffic signal control for figuring out the unpredictable traffic congestion in today's metropolitan life cannot be overemphasized. The vehicular ad hoc network(VANET), as an integral component of intelligent transportation systems(ITSs), is a new potent technology that has recently gained the attention of academics to replace traditional instruments for providing information for adaptive traffic signal controlling systems(TSCSs). Meanwhile, the suggestions of VANET-based TSCS approaches have some weaknesses:(1) imperfect compatibility of signal timing algorithms with the obtained VANET-based data types, and(2) inefficient process of gathering and transmitting vehicle density information from the perspective of network quality of service(Qo S). This paper proposes an approach that reduces the aforementioned problems and improves the performance of TSCS by decreasing the vehicle waiting time, and subsequently their pollutant emissions at intersections. To achieve these goals, a combination of vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I) communications is used. The V2 V communication scheme incorporates the procedure of density calculation of vehicles in clusters, and V2 I communication is employed to transfer the computed density information and prioritized movements information to the road side traffic controller. The main traffic input for applying traffic assessment in this approach is the queue length of vehicle clusters at the intersections. The proposed approach is compared with one of the popular VANET-based related approaches called MC-DRIVE in addition to the traditional simple adaptive TSCS that uses the Webster method. 4Morphological and Genetical Variability among Rhizoctonia solani Isolates Causing Sheath Blight Disease of Rice显示文摘Eighteen isolates of Rhizoctonia solani collected from infected rice plants in four different locations of Bangladesh were studied by using morphological characters and molecular markers. Anastomosis study with a reference isolate confirmed that all the isolates belonged to R. solani. Significant variation was observed in sclerotial size, shape and distribution. Un-weighted pair group method with arithmetic mean dendrogram constructed based on the Gower's general similarity coefficient showed that these isolates were grouped into four clusters at the 0.68 similarity coefficent according to morphological characters. Cluster I was a major cluster consisting of 13 isolates, while clusters Ⅱ to Ⅳ consisted of 1 or 2 isolates. Analyses by variable number of tandem repeat and amplified fragment length polymorphism markers showed that the isolates were grouped into five and three clusters at a similarity coefficient of 0.64 and 0.69, respectively. Although most of the variability was found between isolates from different regions as expected, significant variation was observed within the isolates collected from similar agro-ecological regions. 5Unsupervised method of clustering and labeling of the online product based on reviews显示文摘This paper presents an unsupervised approach to cluster reviews of products collected from Amazon and then generates its labels of each cluster.Instead of using a complete review,this paper splits a review into sentences and considers all sentences from the reviews as inputs for Clustering.Hierarchical Agglomerative Clustering(HAC)is used to cluster sentences.The approaches of cluster labeling are also unsupervised.For labeling,three different methods have been used to find a limited number of essential words for each cluster.Extracted essential words are used to construct phrases.Constructed phrases are used as labels for each cluster.This paper compares the result of the labeling method with baseline labeling.In the result evaluation,all the labeling methods outperform the baseline method.The aim of this research is cluster labeling that makes a set of labels to describe a cluster content and distinguishes the labels from other cluster labels.Md Masum Billah Mohammad Nuruzzaman Bhuiyan Md.Akterujjaman 2021International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2021,12,2:2

12Functional constipation in Bangladeshi school aged children:A hidden misty at community显示文摘BACKGROUND Constipation is a common problem in children and a frequent cause of hospital visit in both primary&specialized care,which needs proper evaluation&management.Presentation of constipation is variable among children.In Bangladesh there has been no published data regarding constipation in community among school aged children.AIM To determine the magnitude of functional constipation and its risk factors in community among Bangladeshi school children.METHODS This descriptive cross sectional study was conducted in different schools of Dhaka division,Bangladesh.All school aged children between 5-16 years of age who attended school were included in this study.Samples were collected randomly.Proper clinical history&physical examinations(without digital rectal examination)&available investigations(if done previously)were recorded.Diagnosis of functional constipation was done by Rome IV criteria and was compared with children without constipation.Children with any red flag sign,known chronic disease or any findings suggestive of organic disease and on treatment of constipation were excluded.Statistical analysis of the results was done by using Windows based software device with Statistical Packages for Social Science 20.For all statistical tests,P value of less than 0.05 was considered as statistically significant.RESULTS Total study populations were 707 and male was 443 and female 264.Among them,134(19%)children had constipation.In constipated children,78 children fulfilled the Rome IV criteria for functional constipation and it was 11%of total population.Mean age of children having functional constipation was 11.24±3.54 years and Male female ratio was 1:1.78.Anorexia,nausea,abdominal pain,hard stool,blood with hard stool,alternate hard and loose stool and fecal mass in left iliac fossa were analyzed between two group and all were significantly higher in children with functional constipation group.Children of school,where toilet numbers were inadequate had 2.5 times more constipation risk in comparison to children of school with adequate toilet number(OR=2.493,95%CI:1.214-5.120).Children who feel embarrassed to use toilet at school,had 3.6 times higher risk of constipation(OR=3.552,95%CI:1.435-8.794).Here children with H/O affected sibs and parents/grandparents had 4 and 2.6 times more chance of constipation respectively in comparison to children without H/O affected sibs(OR=3.977,95%CI:1.884–8.397)and parents/grandparents(OR=2.569,95%CI:1.172-5.629).Children with inadequate fluid intake had 2 times more risk of constipation in comparison to children with adequate fluid intake(OR=1.972,95%CI:1.135-3.426).Children who passed electronic screen time of>2 h/d had 2 times more chance of constipation in comparison to children who passed electronic screen time<2 h(OR=2.138,95%CI:1.063-4.301).CONCLUSION Constipation is not uncommon in Bangladeshi school aged children.Inadequate toilet number,family history of constipation,inadequate fluid intake,feeling embarrassed to use toilet at school,and electronic screen time for>2 h/d were found as risk factors in the present study for functional constipation.Md Benzamin ASM Bazlul Karim Md Rukunuzzaman Md Wahiduzzaman Mazumder Masud Rana Rubaiyat Alam Mohammad Majharul Islam Md Shafiul Alam Kamal Hossen Afsana Yasmin Kaniz Fathema Mukesh Khadga Aisharza Sultana Aishy 2022World Journal of Clinical Pediatrics2022,11,2:1
