| 3 | Characteristics,sources and health risks assessment of VOCs in Zhengzhou,China during haze pollution season显示文摘Zhengzhou is one of the most haze-polluted cities in Central China with high organic carbon emission,which accounts for 15%-20%of particulate matter(PM_(2.5))in winter and causes significantly adverse health effects.Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the precursors of secondary PM_(2.5)and O_(3)formation.An investigation of characteristics,sources and health risks assessment of VOCs was carried out at the urban area of Zhengzhou from 1^(st) to 31^(st) December,2019.The mean concentrations of total detected VOCs were 48.8±23.0 ppbv.Alkanes(22.0±10.4 ppbv),halocarbons(8.1±3.9 ppbv)and aromatics(6.5±3.9 ppbv)were the predominant VOC species,followed by alkenes(5.1±3.3 ppbv),oxygenated VOCs(3.6±1.8 ppbv),alkyne(3.5±1.9,ppbv)and sulfide(0.5±0.9 ppbv).The Positive Matrix Factorization model was used to identify and apportion VOCs sources.Five major sources of VOCs were identified as vehicular exhaust,industrial processes,combustion,fuel evaporation,and solvent use.The carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk values of species were calculated.The carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks of almost all air toxics increased during haze days.The total non-carcinogenic risks exceeded the acceptable ranges.Most VOC species posed no non-carcinogenic risk during three haze events.The carcinogenic risks of chloroform,1,2-dichloroethane,1,2-dibromoethane,benzyl chloride,hexachloro-1,3-butadiene,benzene and naphthalene were above the acceptable level(1.0×10^(-6))but below the tolerable risk level(1.0×10^(-4)).Industrial emission was the major contributor to non-carcinogenic,and solvent use was the major contributor to carcinogenic risks. | Dong Zhang Bing He Minghao Yuan Shijie Yu Shasha Yin Ruiqin Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,10: | 10 |

| 11 | Primary assessment of the diversity of Omicron sublineages and the epidemiologic features of autumn/winter 2022 COVID-19 wave in Chinese mainland显示文摘With the recent ongoing autumn/winter 2022 COVID-19 wave and the adjustment of public health control measures,there have been widespread SARS-CoV-2 infections in Chinese mainland.Here we have analyzed 369 viral genomes from recently diagnosed COVID-19 patients in Shanghai,identifying a large number of sublineages of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron family.Phylogenetic analysis,coupled with contact history tracing,revealed simultaneous community transmission of two Omicron sublineages dominating the infections in some areas of China(BA.5.2 mainly in Guangzhou and Shanghai,and BF.7 mainly in Beijing)and two highly infectious sublineages recently imported from abroad(XBB and BQ.1).Publicly available data from August 31 to November 29,2022 indicated an overall severe/critical case rate of 0.035%nationwide,while analysis of 5706 symptomatic patients treated at the Shanghai Public Health Center between September 1 and December 26,2022 showed that 20 cases(0.35%)without comorbidities progressed into severe/critical conditions and 153 cases(2.68%)with COVID-19-exacerbated comorbidities progressed into severe/critical conditions.These observations shall alert healthcare providers to place more resources for the treatment of severe/critical cases.Furthermore,mathematical modeling predicts this autumn/winter wave might pass through major cities in China by the end of the year,whereas some middle and western provinces and rural areas would be hit by the upcoming infection wave in mid-to-late January 2023,and the duration and magnitude of upcoming outbreak could be dramatically enhanced by the extensive travels during the Spring Festival(January 21,2023).Altogether,these preliminary data highlight the needs to allocate resources to early diagnosis and effective treatment of severe cases and the protection of vulnerable population,especially in the rural areas,to ensure the country’s smooth exit from the ongoing pandemic and accelerate socio-economic recovery. | Gang Lu Yun Ling Minghao Jiang Yun Tan Dong Wei Lu Jiang Shuting Yu Fangying Jiang Shuai Wang Yao Dai Jinzeng Wang Geng Wu Xinxin Zhang Guoyu Meng Shengyue Wang Feng Liu Xiaohong Fan Saijuan Chen | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,4: | 1 |
| 12 | Operando reconstruction towards stable CuI nanodots with favorable facets for selective CO_(2) electroreduction to C2H4显示文摘Cu-based electrocatalysts with favorable facets and Cu^(+)can boost CO_(2) reduction to valuable multicarbon products.However,the inevitable Cu^(+)reduction and the phase evolution usually result in poor performance.Herein,we fabricate CuI nanodots with favorable(220)facets and a stable Cu^(+)state,accomplished by operando reconstruction of Cu(OH)_(2) under CO_(2)-and I--containing electrolytes for enhanced CO_(2)-to-C_(2)H_(4) conversion.Synchrotron X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS),in-situ Raman spectroscopy and thermodynamic potential analysis reveal the preferred formation of CuI.Vacuum gas electroresponse and density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that CO_(2)-related species induce the exposure of the(220)plane of Cu I.Moreover,the small size of nanodots enables the adequate contact with I^(-),which guarantees the rapid formation of Cu I instead of the electroreduction to Cu^(0).As a result,the resulting catalysts exhibit a high C2H4 Faradaic efficiency of 72.4%at a large current density of 800 m A cm^(-2) and robust stability for 12 h in a flow cell.Combined in-situ ATR-SEIRS spectroscopic characterizations and DFT calculations indicate that the(220)facets and stable Cu^(+) in CuI nanodots synergistically facilitate CO_(2)/*CO adsorption and*CO dimerization. | Wenjie Xue Hongxia Liu Xinqing Chen Xiaoju Yang Ruoou Yang Youwen Liu Minghao Li Xuan Yang Bao Yu Xia Bo You | 2023 | Science China Chemistry2023,66,6: | 1 |

| 14 | Dynamic Setting Method of Assessment Indicators for Power Curves of Renewable Energy Sources Considering Scarcity of Reserve Resources显示文摘With the increasing proportion of renewable energy sources(RESs)in power grid,the reserve resource(RR)scarcity for correcting power deviation of RESs has become a potential issue.Consequently,the power curve of RES needs to be more rigorously assessed.The RR scarcity varies during different time periods,so the values of assessment indicators should be dynamically adjusted.The assessment indicators in this paper include two aspects,i.e.,deviation exemption ratio and penalty price.Firstly,this paper proposes a method for dynamically calculating the supply capacity and RR cost,primarily taking into account the operating status of thermal units,forecast information of RES,and load curve.Secondly,after clarifying the logical relationship between the degree of RR scarcity and the values of assessment indicators,this paper establishes a mapping function between them.Based on this mapping function,a dynamic setting method for assessment indicators is proposed.In the future,RES will generally be equipped with battery energy storage systems(BESSs).Reasonably utilizing BESSs to reduce the power deviation of RESs can increase the expected income of RESs.Therefore,this paper proposes a power curve optimization strategy for RESs considering self-owned BESSs.The case study demonstrates that the dynamic setting method of assessment indicators can increase the revenue of RESs while ensuring that the penalty fees paid by RESs to the grid are sufficient to cover the RR costs.Additionally,the power curve optimization strategy can help RESs further increase income and fully utilize BESSs to reduce power deviation. | Minghao Cao Jilai Yu | 2024 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2024,12,1: | 0 |
| 15 | Improving performance of ZnO Schottky photodetector by inserting MXenes modified-layer显示文摘The development of low-cost and high-performance ZnO Schottky photodetectors (PDs) has drawn intensive attention,but still a challenge due to their poor conductivity and low light utilization efficiency.Here,we introduce Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(X) into ZnO films to fabricate Schottky UV PDs via facile spin-coated method.The fabricated ZnO/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(X)/ZnO compound film shows outstanding performance on photocurrent,responsivity,noise equivalent power (NEP),normalized detection rate (D~*),and linear dynamic region (LDR),compared with the original Zn O device.The photocurrent is significantly increased by 466%,and the responsivity is improved by one order of magnitude.In addition,it exhibits relatively low NEP (5.99×10^(-11)W),strong D~*(2.53×10~9 Jones),and high LDR (28 dB).The superior performance is ascribed to the enhanced conductivity and light absorption of ZnO film after introduction of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(X) modification layer,leading to simultaneously faster electron transfer,lower the radiation recombination of electron and holes on the ZnO/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(X)/ZnO compound film.This work provides a facile way to develop low-cost and highperformance ZnO Schottky PDs. | Cheng Wu Xinzhi Luo Xiaoming Yu Xuan Yu Kun Lin Minghao Li Zhenhua Li Yu Cao Yingtang Zhou | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,7: | 0 |
| 16 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.
