| 2 | Spatial prediction of landslide susceptibility in western Serbia using hybrid support vector regression(SVR)with GWO,BAT and COA algorithms显示文摘In this study,we developed multiple hybrid machine-learning models to address parameter optimization limitations and enhance the spatial prediction of landslide susceptibility models.We created a geographic information system database,and our analysis results were used to prepare a landslide inventory map containing 359 landslide events identified from Google Earth,aerial photographs,and other validated sources.A support vector regression(SVR)machine-learning model was used to divide the landslide inventory into training(70%)and testing(30%)datasets.The landslide susceptibility map was produced using 14 causative factors.We applied the established gray wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm,bat algorithm(BA),and cuckoo optimization algorithm(COA)to fine-tune the parameters of the SVR model to improve its predictive accuracy.The resultant hybrid models,SVR-GWO,SVR-BA,and SVR-COA,were validated in terms of the area under curve(AUC)and root mean square error(RMSE).The AUC values for the SVR-GWO(0.733),SVR-BA(0.724),and SVR-COA(0.738)models indicate their good prediction rates for landslide susceptibility modeling.SVR-COA had the greatest accuracy,with an RMSE of 0.21687,and SVR-BA had the least accuracy,with an RMSE of 0.23046.The three optimized hybrid models outperformed the SVR model(AUC=0.704,RMSE=0.26689),confirming the ability of metaheuristic algorithms to improve model performance. | Abdul-Lateef Balogun Fatemeh Rezaie Quoc Bao Pham Ljubomir Gigović Siniša Drobnjak Yusuf AAina Mahdi Panahi Shamsudeen Temitope Yekeen Saro Lee | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3: | 6 |

| 5 | Antioxidant and hepatoprotective activities of Dicoma anomala Sond.aqueous root extract against carbon tetrachloride-induced liver damage in Wistar rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluates the antioxidant and hepatoprotective potentials of Dicoma anomala Sond.(Asteraceae) on body weight,feed and water intake,biochemical parameters and organ histology.METHODS:Various concentrations(1.56-25 μg/m L)were used in the in vitro assays 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl(DPPH,superoxide anion,hydroxyl radicals,etc.).The effects of treatment with 125,250 and 250 mg/m L Dicoma anomala aqueous roots extract(DARE) was investigated in vivo in the CCl4-induced hepatotoxic rats during the 15 days study.RESULTS:Water extract exhibited the best activity(IC50:15.20 ± 0.03,11.70 ± 0.10,and 0.84 ± 0.05 μg/m L) in vitro in DPPH,hydroxyl and superoxide anion radicals,respectively,when compared with standards.Pre-treatment and treatment with different concentrations of DARE significantly(P < 0.05)attenuated the elevated serum activities of aspartate transaminase,alanine transaminase levels while increasing the activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase and glutathione peroxidase.The histopathological evaluations revealed extensive liver damage characterized by severe vacuolar and cytoplasmic degeneration,hepatic necrosis,and cellular infilteration in pre-treated groups while in the treated groups;such liver damages were not observed most especially at 500 mg/kg dose.CONCLUSION:The results proved the hepatoprotective potential of DARE against CCl4-induced oxidative stress.Moreover,histopathological examinations revealed better therapeutic advantage of DARE than prophylactic use. | FO Balogun AOT Ashafa | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 2 |
| 6 | Deciphering the lithium storage chemistry in flexible carbon fiber-based self-supportive electrodes显示文摘Flexible carbon fiber cloth(CFC)is an important scaffold and/or current collector for active materials in the development of flexible self-supportive electrode materials(SSEMs),especially in lithium-ion batteries.However,during the intercalation of Li ions into the matrix of CFC(below 0.5 V vs.Li/Li+),the incompatibility in the capacity of the CFC,when used directly as an anode material or as a current collector for active materials,leads to difficulty in the estimation of its actual contribution.To address this issue,we prepared Ni_(5)P_(4)nanosheets on CFC(denoted CFC@Ni_(5)P_(4))and investigated the contribution of CFC in the CFC@Ni_(5)P_(4)by comparing to the powder Ni_(5)P_(4)nanosheets traditionally coated on a copper foil(CuF)(denoted P-Ni_(5)P_(4)).At a current density of 0.4 mA cm^(−2),the as-prepared CFC@Ni_(5)P_(4)showed an areal capacity of 7.38 mAh cm^(−2),which is significantly higher than that of the PNi_(5)P_(4)electrode.More importantly,theoretical studies revealed that the CFC has a high Li adsorption energy that contributes to the low Li-ion diffusion energy barrier of the Ni_(5)P_(4)due to the strong interaction between the CFC and Ni_(5)P_(4),leading to the superior Li-ion storage performance of the CFC@Ni_(5)P_(4)over the pristine Ni_(5)P_(4)sample.This present work unveils the underlying mechanism leading to the achievement of high performance in SSEMs. | Hao Yang Tuzhi Xiong Zhixiao Zhu Ran Xiao Xincheng Yao Yongchao Huang M.-Sadeeq Balogun | 2022 | Carbon Energy2022,4,5: | 2 |

| 9 | Hetero-interfacial nickel nitride/vanadium oxynitride porous nanosheets as trifunctional electrodes for HER,OER and sodium ion batteries显示文摘The development of single electrode with multifunctional purposes for electrochemical devices remains a symbolic challenge in recent technology.This work explores interfacially-rich transition metal nitride hybrid that consist of nickel nitride and vanadium oxynitride(VO_(0.26)N_(0.52))on robust carbon fiber(denoted CF/Ni_(3)N/VON)as trifunctional electrode for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and sodium ion batteries(SIBs).The as-prepared CF/Ni_(3)N/VON exhibits low HER overpotential of 48 m V@10 m A cm^(-2),OER overpotential of 287 m V@10 m A cm^(-2),and sodium-ion anode storage reversible capacity of 555 m A h g^(-1)@0.2 C.Theoretical analyses reveal that the Ni_(3)N effectively facilitates hydrogen desorption for HER,increases the electrical conductivity for OER,and promotes the Na-ion storage intercalation process,while the VON substantially elevates the water dissociation kinetics for HER,accelerates the adsorption of OH*intermediate for OER and enhances the Na-ion surface adsorption storage process.Owing to the excellent HER and OER performances of the CF/Ni_(3)N/VON electrode,an overall water splitting device denoted as CF/Ni_(3)N/VON//CF/Ni_(3)N/VON was not only assembled showing an operating voltage of 1.63 V at current density of 10 m A cm^(-2)but was also successfully self-powered by the assembled CF/Ni_(3)N/VON//CF/Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) flexible sodium ion battery.This work will contribute to the development of efficient and cost-effective flexible integrated electrochemical energy devices. | Tuzhi Xiong Jingting Li Jagadish Chandra Roy Malcolm Koroma Zhixiao Zhu Hao Yang Lei Zhang Ting Ouyang M.-Sadeeq Balogun Mohammad Al-Mamun | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,6: | 1 |
