1A Strigolactone Biosynthesis Gene Contributed to the Green Revolution in Rice显示文摘Plant architecture is a complex agronomic trait and a major factor of crop yield,which is affected by several important hormones.Strigolactones(SLs)are identified as a new class hormoneinhibiting branching in many plant species and have been shown to be involved in various developmental processes.Genetical and chemical modulation of the SL pathway is recognized as a promising approach to modify plant architecture.However,whether and how the genes involved in the SL pathway could be utilized in breeding still remain elusive.Here,we demonstrate that a partial loss-of-function allele of the SL biosynthesis gene,HIGH TILLERING AND DWARF 1/DWARF17(HTD1/D17),which encodes CAROTENOID CLEAVAGE DIOXYGENASE 7(CCD7),increases tiller number and improves grain yield in rice.We found that the HTD1 gene had been widely utilized and co-selected with Semidwarf 1(SD1),both contributing to the improvement of plant architecture in modern rice varieties since the Green Revolution in the 1960s.Understanding how phytohormone pathway genes regulate plant architecture and how they have been utilized and selected in breeding will lay the foundation for developing the rational approaches toward improving crop yield.Yuexing Wang Lianguang Shang Hong Yu Longjun Zeng Jiang Hu Shen Ni Yuchun Rao Sanfeng Li Jinfang Chu Xiangbing Meng Lei Wang Ping Hu Jijun Yan Shujing Kang Minghao Qu Hai Lin Tao Wang Quan Wang Xingming Hu Hongqi Chen Bing Wang Zhenyu Gao Longbiao Guo Dali Zeng Xudong Zhu Guosheng Xiong Jiayang Li Qian Qian 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,6:23

4A Mobile Localization Strategy for Wireless Sensor Network in NLOS Conditions显示文摘The problem of mobile localization for wireless sensor network has attracted considerable attention in recent years. The localization accuracy will drastically grade in non-line of sight(NLOS) conditions. In this paper, we propose a mobile localization strategy based on Kalman filter. The key technologies for the proposed method are the NLOS identification and mitigation. The proposed method does not need the prior knowledge of the NLOS error and it is independent of the physical measurement ways. 5Near infrared spectral and polarization imaging observation of coronal emission lines during the 2008 total solar eclipse显示文摘During the 2008 total solar eclipse, the coronal emission lines were observed by using optical fibre spectrometric and polarization imaging system in near infrared waveband. The profiles of the coronal emission lines including Fe XIII 10747 , 10798  and He I 10830  were obtained with dispersion of 0.5 /pix. The intensity of Fe XIII 10747  remained unchanged in the two different coronal regions while the intensity of He I 10830  varied considerably in the two coronal locations no matter whether the prominence appeared or not. 10A Recessive Mutant of argonaute 1b/gsnl4 Leads to Narrow Leaf, Small Grain Size and Low Seed Setting in Rice显示文摘A gsnl4 mutant characterized by small grain size,narrow leaf and low seed-setting rate was obtained by ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)mutagenesis of a japonica rice variety Wuyunjing 21.Genetic analysis showed that gsnl4 is a loss-of-function mutant.A single-base mutation in gsnl4 resulted in the substitution of Ser to Asn in the Piwi domain of OsAGOlb protein.CRISPR/Cas9-mediated editing of OsAGOlb yielded a mutant phenotypically resembling gsnl4.Furthermore,miRNA-Seq analysis showed that the transcript expression levels of miRNAs in the signal transduction pathways related to pollen development,leaf morphology and honnone activation were significantly different between the gsnl4 mutant and the wild type(WT)plants.Several miRNAs were downregulated,and their target genes were upregulated in gsnl4 mutants.The auxin content in the root tips of the gsnl4 mutant decreased,and the expression of most auxin-related genes was altered.In summary,GSNL4 not only regulates organ development by controlling cell division and expansion,but also plays an important role in regulating auxin transport in rice.SONG Mengqiu RUAN Shuang PENG Youlin WANG Zhongwei Jahan NOUSHIN ZHANG Yu CUI Yongtao HU Haitao JIANG Hongzhen DING Shilin SHEN Lan GAO Zhenyu HU Xingming QIAN Qian GUO Longbiao 2021Rice science2021,28,6:0
11Filler Size Effect on Tuning Electrical,Mechanical,and Thermal Properties of Field Grading Composites显示文摘field-grading composite with a low switching field,stable nonlinear conductivity performance,and excellent mechanical and thermal properties was prepared by using hybrid ZnO micro-spherical varistors of different particle sizes as the fillers and silicone rubber as the matrix.The hybrid effects of particle size on the electrical,mechanical,and thermal properties of ZnO micro-spherical varistors composites are investigated.An increase in the ZnO micro-spherical varistor size in the composites will lower the switching field but lead to degradation of the mechanical properties and stability of the nonlinear conductivity properties.The silicone rubber is incorporated with a mixture of hybrid ZnO micro-spherical varistors of different sizes at an optimal mass ratio range exhibited low switching field,stable nonlinear conductivity performance,and excellent mechanical and thermal properties.Our findings are helpful to comprehensively regulate performance of advanced field-grading materials and increase stability and durability of electronic and electrical devices.Xiaolei Zhao Jun Hu Xiao Yang Zhiwen Huang Xingming Bian Yuanbao Lin Jinliang He 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,2:0

13The heterochronic gene Oryza sativa LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN 1 modulates miR156b/c/i/e levels显示文摘The juvenile-to-adult transition in plants involves changes in vegetative growth and plant architecture;the timing of this transition has important implications for agriculture.The microRNA miR156 regulates this transition and shoot maturation in plants.In Arabidopsis thaliana,deposition of histone H3 trimethylation on lysine 27(H3K27me3,a repressive mark)at the MIR156A/C loci is regulated by Polycomb Repressive Complex 1(PRC1)or PRC2,depending on the developmental stage.The levels of miR156 progressively decline during shoot maturation.The amount of H3K27me3 at MIR156A/C loci affects miR156 levels;however,whether this epigenetic regulation is conserved remains unclear.Here,we found that in rice(Oryza sativa),the putative PRC1 subunit LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN 1(OsLHP1),with the miR156–SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN-LIKE(SPL)module,affects developmental phase transitions.Loss of OsLHP1 function results in ectopic expression of MIR156B/C/I/E,phenocopy of miR156 overexpression,and reduced H3k27me3 levels at MIR156B/C/I/E.This indicates that OsLHP1 has functionally diverged from Arabidopsis LHP1.Genetic and transcriptome analyses of wild-type,miR156b/c-overexpression,and Oslhp1-2 mutant plants suggest that OsLHP1 acts upstream of miR156 and SPL during the juvenile-to-adult transition.Therefore,modifying the OsLHP1–miR156–SPL pathway may enable alteration of the vegetative period and plant architecture.Yongtao Cui Jingfei Cheng Shuang Ruan Peipei Qi Wei Liu Hongwu Bian Luhuan Ye Yuping Zhang Jiang Hu Guojun Dong Longbiao Guo Yijing Zhang Qian Qian d Xingming Hu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,12:0
