1A review of negative electrode materials for electrochemical supercapacitors显示文摘With increasing demands for clean and sustainable energy, the advantages of high power density, high efficiency, and long life expectancy have made supercapacitors one of the major emerging devices for electrochemical energy storage and power supply. However, one of the key challenges for SCs is their limited energy density, which has hindered their wider application in the field of energy storage. Despite significant progress has been achieved in the fabrication of high-energy density positive electrodes materials, negative electrode materials with high capacitance and a wide potential window are relatively less explored. 3Analysis of the Pump-turbine S Characteristics Using the Detached Eddy Simulation Method显示文摘Current research on pump-turbine units is focused on the unstable operation at off-design conditions, with the characteristic curves in generating mode being S-shaped. Unlike in the traditional water turbines, pump-turbine operation along the S-shaped curve can lead to difficulties during load rejection with unusual increases in the water pressure, which leads to machine vibrations. This paper describes both model tests and numerical simulations. A reduced scale model of a low specific speed pump-turbine was used for the performance tests, with comparisons to computational fluid dynamics(CFD) results. Predictions using the detached eddy simulation(DES) turbulence model, which is a combined Reynolds averaged Naviers-Stokes(RANS) and large eddy simulation(LES) model, are compared with the two-equation turbulence mode results. The external characteristics as well as the internal flow are for various guide vane openings to understand the unsteady flow along the so called S characteristics of a pump-turbine. Comparison of the experimental data with the CFD results for various conditions and times shows that DES model gives better agreement with experimental data than the two-equation turbulence model. For low flow conditions, the centrifugal forces and the large incident angle create large vortices between the guide vanes and the runner inlet in the runner passage, which is the main factor leading to the S-shaped characteristics. 6Flexible rechargeable Ni//Zn battery based on self-supported NiCo_2O_4 nanosheets with high power density and good cycling stability显示文摘The overall electrochemical performances of Ni-Zn batteries are still far from satisfactory, specifically for rate performance and cycling stability Herein, we demonstrated a high-performance flexible Ni//Zn battery with outstanding durability and high power density based on selfsupported NiCo_2 O_4 nanosheets as cathode and Zn nanosheets as anode. This Ni//Zn battery is able to deliver a remarkable capacity of183.1 mAh g^(-1) and a good cycling performance(82.7% capacity retention after 3500 cycles). More importantly, this battery achieves an admirable power density of 49.0 kW kg^(-1) and energy density of 303.8 Wh kg^(-1), substantially higher than most recently reported batteries. 9Metal-free carbocatalysis for electrochemical oxygen reduction reaction: Activity origin and mechanism显示文摘Although scientists have conducted long-term and extensive studies on oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)catalyzed by metal-free carbon materials,they mainly have focused on the preparation and properties of various doped carbon materials.There is still a lack of systematic scientific guidance on the relationship between the surface structure regulation and activity of carbon-based catalysts.In this review,some of electrochemical and computational fundamental concepts about ORR are concisely summarized.The effects of edge defect and nonmetallic doping of carbon materials on ORR behavior and mechanism have been reviewed,and activity origin identification and intermediate conversion mechanism have been discussed.The outlooks for future researches on metal-free ORR electrocatalysis are suggested.Yuhang Li Yexiang Tong Feng Peng 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:4
10TiN Paper for Ultrafast-Charging Supercapacitors显示文摘Ultrafast-charging energy storage devices are attractive for powering personal electronics and electric vehicles.Most ultrafast-charging devices are made of carbonaceous materials such as chemically converted graphene and carbon nanotubes.Yet,their relatively low electrical conductivity may restrict their performance at ultrahigh charging rate.Here,we report the fabrication of a porous titanium nitride(TiN)paper as an alternative electrode material for ultrafast-charging devices.The TiN paper shows an excellent conductivity of 3.67×104 S m−1,which is considerably higher than most carbon-based electrodes.The paper-like structure also contains a combination of large pores between interconnected nanobelts and mesopores within the nanobelts.This unique electrode enables fast charging by simultaneously providing efficient ion diffusion and electron transport.The supercapacitors(SCs)made of TiN paper enable charging/discharging at an ultrahigh scan rate of 100 V s−1 in a wide voltage window of 1.5 V in Na2SO4 neutral electrolyte.It has an outstanding response time with a characteristic time constant of 4 ms.Significantly,the TiN paper-based SCs also show zero capacitance loss after 200,000 cycles,which is much better than the stability performance reported for other metal nitride SCs.Furthermore,the device shows great promise in scalability.The filtration method enables good control of the thickness and mass loading of TiN electrodes and devices.Bin Yao Mingyang Li Jing Zhang Lei Zhang Yu Song Wang Xiao Andrea Cruz Yexiang Tong Yat Li 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,1:3

18Electrochemical behaviors of Bi (Ⅲ) in dimethylsulfoxide显示文摘Cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry were used to investigate the electrochemicalbehaviors of Bi(Ⅲ) in Bi(NO3)3-LiClO4-DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) system on Pt and Cu electrodes. 19MKP-1 reduces Aβ generation and alleviates cognitive impairments in Alzheimer’s disease models显示文摘Mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)phosphatase 1(MKP-1)is an essential negative regulator of MAPKs by dephosphorylating MAPKs at both tyrosine and threonine residues.Dysregulation of the MAPK signaling pathway has been associated with Alzheimer’s disease(AD).However,the role of MKP-1 in AD pathogenesis remains elusive.Here,we report that MKP-1 levels were decreased in the brain tissues of patients with AD and an AD mouse model.The reduction in MKP-1 gene expression appeared to be a result of transcriptional inhibition via transcription factor specificity protein 1(Sp1)cis-acting binding elements in the MKP-1 gene promoter.Amyloid-β(Aβ)-induced Sp1 activation decreased MKP-1 expression.However,upregulation of MKP-1 inhibited the expression of both Aβprecursor protein(APP)andβ-site APP-cleaving enzyme 1 by inactivating the extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK)/MAPK signaling pathway.Furthermore,upregulation of MKP-1 reduced Aβproduction and plaque formation and improved hippocampal long-term potentiation(LTP)and cognitive deficits in APP/PS1 transgenic mice.Our results demonstrate that MKP-1 impairment facilitates the pathogenesis of AD,whereas upregulation of MKP-1 plays a neuroprotective role to reduce Alzheimer-related phenotypes.Thus,this study suggests that MKP-1 is a novel molecule for AD treatment.Yehong Du Yexiang Du Yun Zhang Zhilin Huang Min Fu Junjie Li Yayan Pang Peng Lei Yu Tian Wang Weihong Song Guiqiong He Zhifang Dong 2019Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1:2
