| 2 | Is the pain in chronic pancreatitis of neuropathic origin? Support from EEG studies during experimental pain显示文摘AIM: To prove the hypothesis that patients with chronic pancreatitis would show increased theta activity during painful visceral stimulation. METHODS: Eight patients and 12 healthy controls underwent an experiment where the esophagus was electrically stimulated at the pain threshold using a nasal endoscope. The electroencephalogram (EEG) was recorded from 64 surface electrodes and 'topographic matching pursuit' was used to extract the EEG information in the early brain activation after stimulation. RESULTS: A major difference between controls and patients were seen in delta and theta bands, whereas there were only minor differences in other frequency bands. In the theta band, the patients showed higher activity than controls persisting throughout the 450 ms of analysis with synchronous brain activation betweenthe channels. The main theta components oscillated with 4.4 Hz in the patients and 5.5 Hz in the controls. The energy in the delta (0.5-3.5 Hz) band was higher in the controls, whereas the patients only showed scattered activity in this band. CONCLUSION: The differences in the theta band indicate that neuropathic pain mechanisms are involved in chronic pancreatitis. | 4 | LSTM-based Energy Management for Electric Vehicle Charging in Commercial-building Prosumers显示文摘As typical prosumers,commercial buildings equipped with electric vehicle(EV)charging piles and solar photovoltaic panels require an effective energy management method.However,the conventional optimization-model-based building energy management system faces significant challenges regarding prediction and calculation in online execution.To address this issue,a long short-term memory(LSTM)recurrent neural network(RNN)based machine learning algorithm is proposed in this paper to schedule the charging and discharging of numerous EVs in commercial-building prosumers.Under the proposed system control structure,the LSTM algorithm can be separated into offline and online stages.At the offline stage,the LSTM is used to map states(inputs)to decisions(outputs)based on the network training.At the online stage,once the current state is input,the LSTM can quickly generate a solution without any additional prediction.A preliminary data processing rule and an additional output filtering procedure are designed to improve the decision performance of LSTM network.The simulation results demonstrate that the LSTM algorithm can generate near-optimal solutions in milliseconds and significantly reduce the prediction and calculation pressures compared with the conventional optimization algorithm. | Huayanran Zhou Yihong Zhou Junjie Hu Guangya Yang Dongliang Xie Yusheng Xue Lars Nordström | 2021 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021，9，5： | 3 |

| 9 | Shot-noise limited, supercontinuum-based optical coherence tomography显示文摘We present the first demonstration of shot-noise limited supercontinuum-based spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)with an axial resolution of 5.9μm at a center wavelength of 1370 nm.Current supercontinuumbased SD-OCT systems cannot be operated in the shot-noise limited detection regime because of severe pulse-topulse relative intensity noise of the supercontinuum source.To overcome this disadvantage,we have developed a low-noise supercontinuum source based on an all-normal dispersion(ANDi)fiber,pumped by a femtosecond laser.The noise performance of our 90 MHz ANDi fiber-based supercontinuum source is compared to that of two commercial sources operating at 80 and 320 MHz repetition rate.We show that the low-noise of the ANDi fiber-based supercontinuum source improves the OCT images significantly in terms of both higher contrast,better sensitivity,and improved penetration.From SD-OCT imaging of skin,retina,and multilayer stacks we conclude that supercontinuumbased SD-OCT can enter the domain of shot-noise limited detection. | Shreesha Rao D.S.
