2Novel resonant pressure sensor based on piezoresistive detection and symmetrical in-plane mode vibration显示文摘In this paper,a novel resonant pressure sensor is developed based on electrostatic excitation and piezoresistive detection.The measured pressure applied to the diaphragm will cause the resonant frequency shift of the resonator.The working mode stress–frequency theory of a double-ended tuning fork with an enhanced coupling beam is proposed,which is compatible with the simulation and experiment.A unique piezoresistive detection method based on small axially deformed beams with a resonant status is proposed,and other adjacent mode outputs are easily shielded.According to the structure design,high-vacuum wafer-level packaging with different doping in the anodic bonding interface is fabricated to ensure the high quality of the resonator.The pressure sensor chip is fabricated by dry/wet etching,high-temperature silicon bonding,ion implantation,and wafer-level anodic bonding.The results show that the fabricated sensor has a measuring sensitivity of~19 Hz/kPa and a nonlinearity of 0.02%full scale in the pressure range of 0–200 kPa at a full temperature range of−40 to 80°C.The sensor also shows a good quality factor>25,000,which demonstrates the good vacuum performance.Thus,the feasibility of the design is a commendable solution for high-accuracy pressure measurements.Xiangguang Han Qi Mao Libo Zhao Xuejiao Li Li Wang Ping Yang Dejiang Lu Yonglu Wang Xin Yan Songli Wang Nan Zhu Zhuangde Jiang 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:4
3Risk Management for International Portfolios with Basket Options:A Multi-Stage Stochastic Programming Approach显示文摘The authors consider the problem of active international portfolio management with basket options to achieve optimal asset allocation and combined market risk and currency risk management via multi-stage stochastic programming(MSSP). The authors note particularly the novel consideration and signi?cant bene?t of basket options in the context of portfolio optimization and risk management.Extensive empirical tests strongly demonstrate that basket options consistently have more clearly improvement on portfolio performances than a portfolio of vanilla options written on the same underlying assets. 4Overexpression of GhPFN2 enhances protection against Verticillium dahliae invasion in cotton显示文摘Growing evidence indicates that actin cytoskeleton is involved in plant innate immune responses,but the functional mechanism remains largely unknown.Here,we investigated the behavior of a cotton profilin gene(GhPFN2) in response to Verticillium dahliae invasion,and evaluated its contribution to plant defense against this soil-borne fungal pathogen.GhPFN2 expression was up-regulated when cotton root was inoculated with V.dahliae,and the actin architecture was reorganized in the infected root cells,with a clear increase in the density of filamentous actin and the extent of actin bundling.Compared to the wild type,GhPFN2-overexpressing cotton plants showed enhanced protection against V.dahliae infection and the actin cytoskeleton organization in root epidermal cells was clearly altered,which phenocopied that of the wild-type(WT) root cells challenged with V.dahliae.These results provide a solid line of evidence showing that actin cytoskeleton reorganization involving GhPFN2 is important for defense against V.dahliae infection.Wenyan Wang Yongduo Sun Libo Han Lei Su Ouixian Xia Haiyun Wang 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,8:4
5Vertical characteristics of ozone variation over the Arctic Chukchi Sea region in 1999显示文摘In 1999 summer, Chinese Arctic Research Expedition operated the Chukchi Sea. On Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, we made many high-resolution ozonesonds measurements. During the period from August 18 to 24, a synoptic scale observation was taken at 75°N, 160°W. Using the above data, together with TOMS total ozone and NCEP circulation data, we showed that atmospheric ozone amount experienced a high-low-high variation, with low-high-low tropopause altitude. Correlation analysis showed a close relation between the total ozone and ozone below 13 km, while the variation of the maximum concentration at about 20 km didn't show any relation to the column ozone. In 500 hPa height maps, there was also the weak-strong-weak southwesterly pattern. 6Manipulating Bloch surface waves in 2D: a platform concept-based flat lens显示文摘At the end of the 1970s,it was confirmed that dielectric multilayers can sustain Bloch surface waves(BSWs).However,BSWs were not widely studied until more recently.Taking advantage of their high-quality factor,sensing applications have focused on BSWs.Thus far,no work has been performed to manipulate and control the natural surface propagations in terms of defined functions with two-dimensional(2D)components,targeting the realization of a 2D system.In this study,we demonstrate that 2D photonic components can be implemented by coating an in-plane shaped ultrathin(l/15)polymer layer on the dielectric multilayer.The presence of the polymer modifies the local effective refractive index,enabling direct manipulation of the BSW.By locally shaping the geometries of the 2D components,the BSW can be deflected,diffracted,focused and coupled with 2D freedom.Enabling BSW manipulation in 2D,the dielectric multilayer can play a new role as a robust platform for 2D optics,which can pave the way for integration in photonic chips.Multiheterodyne near-field measurements are used to study light propagation through micro-and nano-optical components.We demonstrate that a lens-shaped polymer layer can be considered as a 2D component based on the agreement between near-field measurements and theoretical calculations.Both the focal shift and the resolution of a 2D BSW lens are measured for the first time.The proposed platform enables the design of 2D all-optical integrated systems,which have numerous potential applications,including molecular sensing and photonic circuits.Libo Yu Elsie Barakat Tristan Sfez Lubos Hvozdara Joab Di Francesco Hans Peter Herzig 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:3
7Clinical data analysis reveals the role of OGR1 (GPR68) in head and neck squamous cancer显示文摘Background:Head and neck squamous cancer(HNSC)frequently occurs in the clinic.Revealing the role of the genes that correlate with cancer cell outgrowth will contribute to potential treatment target identification and tumor inhibition.Methods:The gene expression profiles and gene ontology of the proton-sensing G-protein-coupled receptor OGR1 were analyzed using the TCGA(The Cancer Genome Atlas)database.The effects of sex,age,race,and degree of malignancy on HNSC were investigated,and the survival times of HNSC patients with high or low/medium expression levels of OGR1 were compared.Methylation of the OGR1 promoter CpG sites was also investigated and OGR1-related genes were analyzed using gene set enrichment analysis.Results:OGR1 is overexpressed in HNSC patients.However,compared with the low/median expression group,the high OGR1 expression group did not have different survival rates.The OGR1 expression level differed across sex,age,race,and degree of malignancy,while the methylation of the OGR1 promoter CpG sites was maintained at a similar level.Gene set enrichment analysis revealed that OGR1 was positively correlated with head and neck cancer,cisplatin resistance,hypoxia,angiogenesis,cell migration,and TGF-β.Conclusion:The expression of OGR1 correlated with HNSC progression and survival and thus can serve as a potential treatment target and prognostic marker.Wenlong Zhang Yong Han Weisha Li Lin Cao Libo Yan Chuan Qin Ran Gao 2020Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1:2

9Hybrid Dirac semimetal-based photodetector with efficient low-energy photon harvesting显示文摘Despite the considerable effort,fast and highly sensitive photodetection is not widely available at the low-photon-energy range(~meV)of the electromagnetic spectrum,owing to the challenging light funneling into small active areas with efficient conversion into an electrical signal.Here,we provide an alternative strategy by efficiently integrating and manipulating at the nanoscale the optoelectronic properties of topological Dirac semimetal PtSe_(2)and its van der Waals heterostructures.Explicitly,we realize strong plasmonic antenna coupling to semimetal states near the skin-depth regime(λ/10^(4)),featuring colossal photoresponse by in-plane symmetry breaking.The observed spontaneous and polarization-sensitive photocurrent are correlated to strong coupling with the nonequilibrium states in PtSe_(2)Dirac semimetal,yielding efficient light absorption in the photon range below 1.24 meV with responsivity exceeding∼0.2 A/W and noise-equivalent power(NEP)less than~38 pW/Hz^(0.5),as well as superb ambient stability.Present results pave the way to efficient engineering of a topological semimetal for high-speed and low-energy photon harvesting in areas such as biomedical imaging,remote sensing or security applications.Lin Wang Li Han Wanlong Guo Libo Zhang Chenyu Yao Zhiqingzi Chen Yulu Chen Cheng Guo Kaixuan Zhang Chia-Nung Kuo Chin Shan Lue Antonio Politano Huaizhong Xing Mengjie Jiang Xianbin Yu Xiaoshuang Chen Wei Lu 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,3:2

11In situ atomic-scale observation of dislocation behaviors in twin-structured Pt nanocrystals显示文摘The deformation mechanisms of twin-structured metallic materials have attracted great interest.Though previous theoretical predictions have suggested that the repulsive force of the twin boundary(TB)can significantly affect the deformation of twinstructured metals,it remains unclear whether this prediction applies to experimental conditions.In this paper,the atomic-scaled deformation process of twin-structured Pt nanocrystals was in situ observed using our home-made device in a high-resolution transmission electron microscope.We have shown that the plastic deformation of the twin-structured Pt nanocrystals was governed by full dislocation generation as well as Lomer dislocation(LD)lock formation and destruction.After LD locks were destructed,these full dislocations tended to move towards the surface of the nanocrystals.The findings revealed that due to the ultra-high repulsive force of TB on dislocation,there was no dislocation-TB reaction during the deformation.These findings can enrich our understanding of the dislocation behaviors of twin-structured nanocrystals.GUO YiZhong SUN Tao FU LiBo HAO LongHu HUANG Ming WEI RuJian LUO JunFeng HE Xin WANG XingQuan XIONG XiaoDong WANG LiHua HAN XiaoDong 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,3:2

17High-frequency enhanced response based on Sb_(2)Te_(3)topological insulators显示文摘Topological insulators represent a new quantum phase of matter with spin-polarized surface states that are protected from backscattering, exhibiting electronic responses to light, such as topological quantum phase transitions. However, the effects of high-frequency driving topological intrinsic systems have remained largely unexplored challenges experimentally for high-sensitivity terahertz detection. In this study, by integrating Sb2Te3 topological insulators with subwavelength metal antennas through micro-nano processing, a high-frequency terahertz detector with high sensitivity is proposed. The enhanced response originates from the asymmetric scattering of the surface electrons in the Sb_(2)Te_(3) flakes induced by the terahertz wave. The device displays room-temperature photodetection with a responsivity of 192 mA/W and equivalent noise power of less than 0.35 nW/Hz^(1/2) in the frequency range from 0.02 to 0.3 THz. 18Immunosenescence:molecular mechanisms and diseases显示文摘Infection susceptibility,poor vaccination efficacy,age-related disease onset,and neoplasms are linked to innate and adaptive immune dysfunction that accompanies aging(known as immunosenescence).During aging,organisms tend to develop a characteristic inflammatory state that expresses high levels of pro-inflammatory markers,termed inflammaging.This chronic inflammation is a typical phenomenon linked to immunosenescence and it is considered the major risk factor for age-related diseases.Thymic involution,naïve/memory cell ratio imbalance,dysregulated metabolism,and epigenetic alterations are striking features of immunosenescence.Disturbed T-cell pools and chronic antigen stimulation mediate premature senescence of immune cells,and senescent immune cells develop a proinflammatory senescence-associated secretory phenotype that exacerbates inflammaging.Although the underlying molecular mechanisms remain to be addressed,it is well documented that senescent T cells and inflammaging might be major driving forces in immunosenescence.Potential counteractive measures will be discussed,including intervention of cellular senescence and metabolic-epigenetic axes to mitigate immunosenescence.In recent years,immunosenescence has attracted increasing attention for its role in tumor development.As a result of the limited participation of elderly patients,the impact of immunosenescence on cancer immunotherapy is unclear.Despite some surprising results from clinical trials and drugs,it is necessary to investigate the role of immunosenescence in cancer and other age-related diseases.Zaoqu Liu Qimeng Liang Yuqing Ren Chunguang Guo Xiaoyong Ge Libo Wang Quan Cheng Peng Luo Yi Zhang Xinwei Han 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6:1

20A moment-based criterion for determining the number of components in a normal mixture model显示文摘Determining the number of components is a crucial issue in a mixture model. A moment-based criterion is considered to estimate the number of components arising from a normal mixture model. This criterion is derived from an omnibus statistic involving the skewness and kurtosis of each component. The proposed criterion additionally provides a measurement for the model fit in an absolute sense.
