| 4 | Optimization of Agrobacterium tumefaciens-Mediated Transformation Systems in Tea Plant(Camellia sinensis)显示文摘In this study, an efficient plant regeneration protocol in vitro and transformation by Agrobacterium-mediated method of Camellia sinensis was achieved, which would lay the foundation for genetic improvement of tea plant by genetic engineering technology. The cotyledon callus of C.sinensis were used as the receptors for transformation by Agrobacterium tumefaciens EHA105 containing PS1aG-3. Some factors which affected the result of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of C. sinensis were studied on the basis of GUS transient expression system. The optimum system of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation was that the cotyledon callus were pre-cultured for 3 d, and then infected by EHA105 for 15 min followed by 3 d co-culture in the dark on the YEB medium containing 150 μmol·L^(-1) acetosyringone(AS). The transient expression rate of GUS gene was 62.6%. After being delayed selective culture for 3 d, infected callus were transferred into the differentiation medium and the root induction medium both of which were supplemented with 100 mg·L^(-1) spectinomycin, and then resistant seedlings of C. sinensis were obtained. Month ahead average daily electricity price profile forecasting is proposed for the first time in this paper. A hybrid nonlinear regression and support vector machine(SVM) model is proposed. Offpeak hours, peak hours in peak months and peak hours in off-peak months are distinguished and different methods are designed to improve the forecast accuracy. A nonlinear regression model with deviation compensation is proposed to forecast the prices of off-peak hours and peak hours in off-peak months. SVM is adopted to forecast the prices of peak hours in peak months. | 11 | Constructing Straight Pores and Improving Mechanical Properties of GangueBased Porous Ceramics显示文摘The large-scale accumulation and pollution of solid mining waste is an urgent issue.Coal gangue is a prominent type of solid waste,and shows promise for use in high value-added products due to its content of many important compounds,including SiO_(2) and Al2O3.This study proposed the preparation of highly porous ceramics from coal gangue,coal slime,and coconut palm fibers.The ceramics were produced at a sintering temperature of 950℃ with a fiber content of 6 wt%,which led to the formation of porous ceramics with a porosity of 66.93%,volume density of 1.0329 g/cm^(3),compressive strength of 1.1025 MPa,and thermal conductivity is 0.3919 K(W/mk).A finite element model of the porous ceramics was established using the Abaqus module in ANSYS software,where the stress distribution and compressive strength were simulated.Further,the relationship between porosity and compressive strength was analyzed.The thermal properties of the porous ceramics were analyzed using the Fluent module,where the simulated changes in porosity under various sintering temperatures were consistent with the experimental data.The preparation of this highly porous ceramic from solid waste coal gangue shows promise for the minimizing the impact of waste gas and wastewater pollution in the future. | Hang Xu Huiling Du Le Kang Qiudi Cheng Danni Feng Siyu Xia | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,12: | 4 |
| 12 | The effect of monosialylganglioside mix modifying the PEGylated liposomal epirubicin on the accelerated blood clearance phenomenon显示文摘PEGylated liposomes are potential candidates to improve the pharmacokinetic characteristics of encapsulated drugs, to extend their circulation half-life and facilitate their passive accumulation at tumour sites. However, PEG-modified liposomes can induce accelerated blood clearance(ABC) upon repeated administration, and the extent of ABC phenomenon on the cytotoxic drugs-containing PEGylated liposomes is related to the dose of the cytotoxic drugs.In this study, EPI served as a model cytotoxic drug, a hydrophilic surfactant molecule,monosialylganglioside(GM1) was chosen and modified on the liposomes together with PEG.It was shown that upon mixed modification, when GM1 contents reached 10% or 15% mol,the ABC phenomenon of the PEGylated liposomal EPI significantly reduced. We also found that GM1 played an important role in abrogating the ABC phenomenon in both the induction phase and the effectuation phase. The results suggested that GM1 incorporation unfortunately did not avoid occurrence of ABC phenomenon completely, but GM1 modification on PEGylated liposomes may provide a significant improvement in clinical practice of PEGylated liposomes. | 13 | Integration strategies of hydrogen network in a refinery based on operational optimization of hydrotreating units显示文摘Inferior crude oil and fuel oil upgrading lead to escalating increase of hydrogen consumption in refineries.It is imperative to reduce the hydrogen consumption for energy-saving operations of refineries.An integration strategy of hydrogen network and an operational optimization model of hydrotreating(HDT)units are proposed based on the characteristics of reaction kinetics of HDT units.By solving the proposed model,the operating conditions of HDT units are optimized,and the parameters of hydrogen sinks are determined by coupling hydrodesulfurization(HDS),hydrodenitrification(HDN)and aromatic hydrogenation(HDA)kinetics.An example case of a refinery with annual processing capacity of eight million tons is adopted to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed optimization strategies and the model.Results show that HDS,HDN and HDA reactions are the major source of hydrogen consumption in the refinery.The total hydrogen consumption can be reduced by 18.9%by applying conventional hydrogen network optimization model.When the hydrogen network is optimized after the operational optimization of HDT units is performed,the hydrogen consumption is reduced by28.2%.When the benefit of the fuel gas recovery is further considered,the total annual cost of hydrogen network can be reduced by 3.21×10~7CNY·a^(-1),decreased by 11.9%.Therefore,the operational optimization of the HDT units in refineries should be imposed to determine the parameters of hydrogen sinks base on the characteristics of reaction kinetics of the hydrogenation processes before the optimization of the hydrogen network is performed through the source-sink matching methods. | Le Wu Xiaoqiang Liang Lixia Kang Yongzhong Liu | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,8: | 3 |

| 15 | Fluorine doping for improved thermoelectric properties of spark plasma sintered bismuth telluride显示文摘Bismuth-telluride(Bi_(2)Te_(3))is considered to have the best thermoelectric properties at room temperature(ca.300 K).Thus,synthesis and improvement of Bi_(2)Te_(3)and its derivatives quickly and cost-effectively at favorite temperatures are of interests.Recently,doping fluorine(F)into electronic materials(e.g.,FTO)has gained attention;however,it is not applied to Bi_(2)Te_(3)till now.Here,our synthesis of F-doped Bi_(2)Te_(3)for thermoelectric application is introduced using spark plasma sintering(SPS)for Bi_(2)Te_(3)preparation and reactive ion etching(RIE,with SF_6 gas)for F-doping.The exposure time of SF_6 plasma is adjusted to evaluate F-doping effect on the thermoelectric properties of the samples.During characterizations,the increased electrical conductivity and the improved Seebeck coefficient of F-doped Bi_(2)Te_(3)are observed.Through spectroscopic studies and DFT calculations,the main mechanism behind that improvement is unveiled.It also emphasizes the essential role of the F-doping(optimum treatment time of 40 s)in increasing the carrier concentrations as well as electrical conductivity.With increasing measurement temperature(300-510 K),F-doping raises the figure of merit of electron rich Bi_(2)Te_(3)from 1.0 to 1.11(peaked at 390 K). | Jinseo Kim Le Thai Duy Hyunwoo Kang Byungmin Ahn Hyungtak Seo | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,31: | 2 |
| 16 | Comparison of the olfactory sensitivity of two sympatric steppe grasshopper species(Orthoptera:Acrididae)to plant volatile compounds显示文摘Electroantennogram (EAG) responses of male and female Oedipodinae grasshop-pers, Oedaleus decorus asiaticus B.-Bienko and Angaracris barabensis Pall to 37 plant volatile compounds were recorded. The two species have sympatric distribution and synchronous sea-sonal activity in Inner Mongolia Grasslands. They have different host plant preference with Oedaleus decorus asiaticus graminivorous and A. barabensis forbivorous. The EAG response profiles to 37 compounds of the two species and their both sexes were similar. Most of the green leaf volatiles elicited higher EAG responses in both species and sexes than terpenic compounds and some aromatic compounds. Strong EAG responses were elicited by 6-carbon alcohols (1-hexanol, Z-hexen-2-ol-1, E-2-hexen-1-ol, E-hexen-3-ol-1), aldehyde (E-2-hexen-1-al), ester (Z-hexen-3-yl acetate), and 7-carbon alcohols (1-heptanol) in both species and sexes. Monoterpenes with functional groups of alcohols and aldehydes were more stimulating than other monoterpenes tested. The sesquiterpenes tested elicited relatively low responses. Ben-zaldehyde elicited the highest responses for both species among aromatic components. Oedaleus decorus asiaticus showed higher EAG responses than A. barabensis to the green leaf volatiles, 1-decanol, 1-nonanol, 1-pentanol, hexanal, Z-hexen-3-yl acetate and to the sesquiter-penes (-)-trans-caryophyllene. Males have higher responses than females in Oedaleus decorus asiaticus. No sexual difference was observed in A. barabensis. Dose-dependent responses to six selected chemicals were observed from females. In both species, all the chemicals tested elicit EAG responses at concentration between 10-3 mol/L and 10-2 mol/L, except that the responses of A. barabensis to terpineol had a threshold concentration of 10-2 mol/L benzaldehyde and 1-hexanol had the highest slopes in dose curves, while 1-octen-3-ol showed the smallest slope in responses to the six chemicals tested. Comparative studies on the responses of two antennal sections and the whole antenna to six selected chemicals were carried out using females of both species. | 18 | Effects of mating status on copulation investment by male bushcricket Gampsocleis gratiosa (Tettigoniidae, Orthoptera)显示文摘Male’s copulation investment, including spermatophore and sperm investment were very high in the Chinese bushcricket Gampsocleis gratiosa. The effects of mating status of both males and females on male’s copulation investment were examined in this study. The fresh weight of sper-matophylax increased positively with the weight of males’ body. This indicated that the nutritional in-vestment during copulation depended on male’s quality. Spermatophore investment showed insig-nificant differences in every copulation protocols. This finding supported the paternal investment hy-pothesis, that is, males contributed to their offspring with little attention to their partners. Sperm re-leasing per ejaculation varied significantly among the trials. Males decreased 54.19% sperm in sec-ond mating than in its first mating, demonsrated that males regarded the first mating highly, and were more prudent in subsequent mating. | 20 | The nucleocapsid protein of rice stripe virus in cell nuclei of vector insect regulates viral replication显示文摘Rice stripe virus(RSV)transmitted by the small brown planthopper causes severe rice yield losses in Asian countries.Although viral nuclear entry promotes viral replication in host cells,whether this phenomenon occurs in vector cells remains unknown.Therefore,in this study,we systematically evaluated the presence and roles of RSV in the nuclei of vector insect cells.We observed that the nucleocapsid protein(NP)and viral genomic RNAs were partially transported into vector cell nuclei by utilizing the importin a nuclear transport system.When blocking NP nuclear localization,cytoplasmic RSV accumulation significantly increased.In the vector cell nuclei,NP bound the transcription factor YY1 and affected its positive regulation to FAIM.Subsequently,decreased FAIM expression triggered an antiviral caspase-dependent apoptotic reaction.Our results reveal that viral nuclear entry induces completely different immune effects in vector and host cells,providing new insights into the balance between viral load and the immunity pressure in vector insects. | Wan Zhao Junjie Zhu Hong Lu Jiaming Zhu Fei Jiang Wei Wang Lan Luo Le Kang Feng Cui | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,5: | 2 |
