1Grain size records reveal variability of the East Asian Winter Monsoon since the Middle Holocene in the Central Yellow Sea mud area,China显示文摘Three cores(ZY-1,ZY-2 and ZY-3) retrieved from the Central Yellow Sea mud(CYSM) were analyzed in sensitive grain size and AMS 14 C dating to reconstruct the history of the East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM) since the Middle Holocene in the study area.The results show that these data provide a continuous history of the EAWM over the past 7.2 ka and that the EAWM can be divided into three periods:strong and highly fluctuating during 7.2-4.2 ka BP;moderate and relatively stable during 4.2-1.8 ka BP;and weakened during 1.8-0 ka BP.Compared with the East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM) recorded in the previous studies,the evolutionary history of the EAWM broadly follows the orbital-derived winter insolation with a similar long-term step-decreased trend as the EASM.At the centennial scale,however,the EAWM intensified events correlate well with the EASM weakened events and the North Atlantic climatic variations(Bond events 0 to 5) within the dating error,most likely forced by the reduction of solar irradiance through changes in the oceanic-atmospheric circulation patterns.HU BangQi YANG ZuoSheng ZHAO MeiXun Yoshiki SAITO FAN DeJiang WANG LiBo 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10:39
2Sea surface temperature records of core ZY2 from the central mud area in the South Yellow Sea during last 6200 years and related effect of the Yellow Sea Warm Current显示文摘Sea surface temperature (SST) records in the South Yellow Sea during the last 6200 years are reconstructed by the unsaturation index of long-chain alkenones (K 37 U ') in sediment core ZY2 from the central mud area.The SST records varied between 14.1 and 16.5°C (15.6°C on average),with 3 phases:(1) A high SST phase at 6.2-5.9 cal ka BP;(2) A low and intensely fluctuating SST phase at 5.9-2.3 cal ka BP;and (3) A high and stable SST phase since 2.3 cal ka BP.Variation of the SST records is similar to intensity of the Kuroshio Current (KC),and corresponds well in time to global cold climate events.However,the amplitude of the SST response to cooling events was significantly different in different phases.The SST response to global cooling event was weak while the KC was strong;and the SST response was strong while the KC was weak.The difference in amplitude of the SST response is possibly caused by the modulation effect of the Yellow Sea Warm Current which acts as a shelf branch of the KC and a compensating current induced by the East Asia winter monsoon.The warm waters brought by the Yellow Sea Warm Current cushion the SST decrease induced by climate cooling,and both the Kuroshio and East Asian winter monsoon play important roles in the modulation mechanism.The SST records display a periodicity of 1482 years.The same period was found in the KC records,indicating that variation of the SST records in the central South Yellow Sea is strongly affected by KC intensity.The same period was also found in Greenland ice cores and North Atlantic and Arabian Sea sediment cores,showing a regional response of marine environmental variability in the East China Seas to that in the global oceans.WANG LiBo YANG ZuoSheng ZHANG RongPing FAN DeJiang ZHAO MeiXun HU BangQi 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,15:13
3Efficient Synthesis of Graphene Nanoribbons Sonochemically Cut from Graphene Sheets显示文摘We report a facile approach to synthesize narrow and long graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) by sonochemically cutting chemically derived graphene sheets (GSs). The yield of GNRs can reach ~5 wt% of the starting GSs. The resulting GNRs are several micrometers in length, with ~75% being single-layer, and ~40% being narrower than 20 nm in width. A chemical tailoring mechanism involving oxygen-unzipping of GSs under sonochemical conditions is proposed on the basis of experimental observations and previously reported theoretical calculations;it is suggested that the formation and distribution of line faults on graphite oxide and GSs play crucial roles in the formation of GNRs. 5Actively priming autophagic cell death with novel transferrin receptor-targeted nanomedicine for synergistic chemotherapy against breast cancer显示文摘Recently, considerable attention in the field of cancer therapy has been focused on the mammalian rapamycin target(m TOR), inhibition of which could result in autophagic cell death(ACD). Though novel combination chemotherapy of autophagy inducers with chemotherapeutic agents is extensively investigated, nanomedicine-based combination therapy for ACD remains in infancy. In attempt to actively trigger ACD for synergistic chemotherapy, here we incorporated autophagy inducer rapamycin(RAP) into 7 pep-modified PEG-DSPE polymer micelles(7 pep-M-RAP) to specifically target and efficiently priming ACD of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells with high expression of transferrin receptor(Tf R). Cytotoxic paclitaxel(PTX)-loaded micelle(7 pep-M-PTX) was regarded as chemotherapeutic drug model. We discovered that with superior intracellular uptake in vitro and more tumor accumulation of micelles in vivo, 7 pep-M-RAP exhibited excellent autophagy induction and synergistic antitumor efficacy with 7 pep-M-PTX. Mechanism study further revealed that 7 pep-M-RAP and 7 pep-MPTX used in combination provided enhanced efficacy through induction of both apoptosis-and mitochondria-associated autophagic cell death. 6Chemical compound cinobufotalin potently induces FOXO1-stimulated cisplatin sensitivity by antagonizing its binding partner MYH9显示文摘In this study,we present novel molecular mechanisms by which FOXO1 functions as a tumor suppressor to prevent the pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).First,we observed that FOXO1 not only controlled tumor stemness and metastasis,but also sensitized NPC cells to cisplatin(DDP)in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistic studies demonstrated that FOXO1-induced miR-200b expression through the GSK3β/β-catenin/TCF4 network-mediated stimulation of ZEB1,which reduced tumor stemness and the epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)signal.Furthermore,we observed FOXO1 interaction with MYH9 and suppression of MYH9 expression by modulating the PI3K/AKT/c-Myc/P53/miR-133a-3p pathway.Decreased MYH9 expression not only reduced its interactions with GSK3β,but also attenuated TRAF6 expression,which then decreased the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of GSK3βprotein.Increased GSK3βexpression stimulated theβ-catenin/TCF4/ZEB1/miR-200b network,which increased the downstream tumor stemness and EMT signals.Subsequently,we observed that chemically synthesized cinobufotalin(CB)strongly increased FOXO1-induced DDP chemosensitivity by reducing MYH9 expression,and the reduction in MYH9 modulated GSK3β/β-catenin and its downstream tumor stemness and EMT signal in NPC.In clinical samples,the combination of low FOXO1 expression and high MYH9 expression indicated the worst overall survival rates.Our studies demonstrated that CB potently induced FOXO1-mediated DDP sensitivity by antagonizing its binding partner MYH9 to modulate tumor stemness in NPC.YongHao Li Xiong Liu Xian Lin Menyang Zhao Yanyi Xiao Chen Liu Zixi Liang Zelong Lin Renhui Yi Zibo Tang Jiahao Liu Xin Li Qingping Jiang Libo Li Yinyin Xie Zhen Liu Weiyi Fang 2019Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1:6
7Historical Changes and Future Projections of Extreme Temperature and Precipitation along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway显示文摘Based on multiresource high-resolution in situ and satellite merged observations along with model simulations from the Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment(CORDEX),this study first investigated historical changes in extreme temperature and precipitation during the period of 1979-2018 in areas along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,and then projected the future changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme temperature and precipitation under the RCP(Representative Concentration Pathway)4.5 and 8.5 scenarios.This paper is expected to enhance our understanding of the spatiotemporal variability in the extreme temperature and precipitation along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,and to provide scientific basis to advance the Sichuan-Tibet Railway construction and operation.The results show that temperatures in the Sichuan-Tibet region display a noticeable warming trend in the past 40 years,and the increase of minimum temperature is significantly higher than that of maximum temperature in the northwest of the region.Significant increase of precipitation is found mainly over the northwest of the Tibetan Plateau.Except for Lhasa and its surrounding areas,precipitation over other areas along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway shows no significant change in the past 40 years,as indicated in five datasets;however,precipitation along the railway has shown a remarkable decrease in the past 20 years in the TRMM satellite dataset.The warm days and nights have clearly increased by 6 and 5 day decade1-for 1979-2019,while cold days and nights have markedly decreased by about 6.6 and 3.6 day decade-1,respectively.In the past 20 years,the areas with increased precipitation from very wet days and extremely wet days are mainly distributed to the north of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,while in the areas along the railway itself,the very wet days and extremely wet days are decreasing.Under RCPs 4.5 and 8.5,the temperature in the Sichuan-Tibet region will increase significantly,and the frequency of extreme high(low)temperature events in the late 21 st century(2070-2099)will greatly increase(decrease)by about 50%-80%(10%)compared with occurrences in the late 20 th century(1970-1999).Meanwhile,the frequency of very wet days and extremely wet days in the Sichuan-Tibet region will increase by about 2%-19% and 2%-5%,respectively,and the areas along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway will be affected by more extreme high temperature and extreme precipitation events.Jingpeng ZHANG Tianbao ZHAO Libo ZHOU Lingkun RAN 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,3:5

9Novel resonant pressure sensor based on piezoresistive detection and symmetrical in-plane mode vibration显示文摘In this paper,a novel resonant pressure sensor is developed based on electrostatic excitation and piezoresistive detection.The measured pressure applied to the diaphragm will cause the resonant frequency shift of the resonator.The working mode stress–frequency theory of a double-ended tuning fork with an enhanced coupling beam is proposed,which is compatible with the simulation and experiment.A unique piezoresistive detection method based on small axially deformed beams with a resonant status is proposed,and other adjacent mode outputs are easily shielded.According to the structure design,high-vacuum wafer-level packaging with different doping in the anodic bonding interface is fabricated to ensure the high quality of the resonator.The pressure sensor chip is fabricated by dry/wet etching,high-temperature silicon bonding,ion implantation,and wafer-level anodic bonding.The results show that the fabricated sensor has a measuring sensitivity of~19 Hz/kPa and a nonlinearity of 0.02%full scale in the pressure range of 0–200 kPa at a full temperature range of−40 to 80°C.The sensor also shows a good quality factor>25,000,which demonstrates the good vacuum performance.Thus,the feasibility of the design is a commendable solution for high-accuracy pressure measurements.Xiangguang Han Qi Mao Libo Zhao Xuejiao Li Li Wang Ping Yang Dejiang Lu Yonglu Wang Xin Yan Songli Wang Nan Zhu Zhuangde Jiang 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:4

11Empirical modeling of ionospheric F2 layer critical frequency over Wakkanai under geomagnetic quiet and disturbed conditions显示文摘The hourly values of the ionospheric F2 layer critical frequency, foF2, recorded at Wakkanai ionosonde station (45.4°N, 141.7°E) have been collected to construct a middle-latitude single-station model for forecasting foF2 under geomagnetic quiet and disturbed conditions. The module for the geomagnetic quiet conditions incorporates local time, seasonal, and solar variability of climatological foF2 and its upper and lower quartiles. It is the first attempt to predict the upper and lower quartiles of foF2 to account for the notable day-to-day variability in ionospheric foF2. The validation statistically verifies that the model captures the climatological variations of foF2 with higher accuracy than IRI does. The storm-time module is built to capture the geomagnetic storm induced relative deviations of foF2 from the quiet time references. In the geomagnetically disturbed module, the storm-induced deviations are described by diurnal and semidiurnal waves, which are modulated by a modified magnetic activity index, the Kf index, reflecting the delayed responses of foF2 to geomagnetic activity forcing. The coefficients of the model in each month are determined by fitting the model formula to the observation in a least-squares way. We provide two options for the geomagnetic disturbed module, including or not including Kalman filter algorithm. The Kalman filter algorithm is introduced to optimize these coefficients in real time. Our results demonstrate that the introduction of the Kalman filter algorithm in the storm time module is promising for improving the accuracy of predication. 12Cloning of aminopeptidase N promoter and its activity in hematopoietic cell and different tumor cell lines显示文摘Aminopeptidase N (APN) promoter region was cloned and sequenced from peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The recombinant reporter construct containing the promoter and luciferase gene, designated pXPl-APNLuc, was introduced into myeloblastic cell line, T lymphocyte cell line and various tumor cell lines. Luciferase assay showed that APN upstream promoter is myeloid-specific for high expression in myeloblastic cell line and much lower expression in T lymphocyte cell line. The promoter activity was relatively high in lung adenoma cell line compared with other tumor cell lines including hepatoma cell line, tong cancer cell line and esophageal cancer cell line in which the promoter activity significantly diminished or was almost undetectable. In this work, we have monitored and compared the diffusion dynamics of TGF-b type II receptor(Tb RII) at high expression level using both traditional single-particle tracking(SPT) and spt PALM.The ligand-induced aggregation of Tb RII oligomers was further indicated by spt PALM. 14Capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer as a resonant temperature sensor显示文摘Resonant temperature sensors have drawn considerable attention for their advantages such as high sensitivity,digitized signal output and high precision.This paper presents a new type of resonant temperature sensor,which uses capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer(CMUT)as the sensing element.A lumped electro-mechanical-thermal model was established to show its working principle for temperature measurement.The theoretical model explicitly explains the thermally induced changes in the resonant frequency of the CMUT.Then,the finite element method was used to further investigate the sensing performance.The numerical results agree well with the established analytical model qualitatively.The numerical results show that the resonant frequency varies linearly with the temperature over the range of 20℃to 140℃ at the first four vibrating modes.However,the first order vibrating mode shows a higher sensitivity than the other three higher modes.When working at the first order vibrating mode,the temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency(TCf)can reach as high as-1114.3 ppm/℃ at a bias voltage equal to 90%of the collapse voltage of the MCUT.The corresponding nonlinear error was as low as 1.18%.It is discovered that the sensing sensitivity is dependent on the applied bias voltages.A higher sensitivity can be achieved by increasing the bias voltages.LI Zhikang Rahman hebibul ZHAO Libo YE Zhiying ZHAO Yulong JIANG Zhuangde 2014Instrumentation2014,1,3:3
15Physicochemical properties and volatile components of pea flour fermented by Lactobacillus rhamnosus L08显示文摘Pea(Pisum sativum L.)is an important source of plant proteins.However,the use of pea flour as a food ingredient is greatly limited due to its strong beany flavor.In this work,we investigated the effects of Lactobacillus rhamnosus L08(L.rhamnosus L08)fermentation on the physicochemical characteristics,amino acids composition and volatile flavor compounds of pea flour.We found that L.rhamnosus L08 had the probiotic potential of utilizing pea flour as fermentation substrate.L.rhamnosus L08 fermentation significantly increased the content of most amino acids,and total amino acid content increased from 222.18 mg/g at 0 h to 262.35 mg/g at 6 h.A total of 44 volatile compounds were identified in pea flour.L.rhamnosus L08 fermentation increased the variety of acids and esters,while reduced the unpleasant flavor such as nonanal,decanal,octanal,1-hexanol and 2-ethyl-1-hexanol.The emulsifying stability and foam stability of pea flour were slightly enhanced during fermentation.Our results illustrate that lactic acid bacteria fermentation is a promising approach to eliminate undesirable aroma of pea flour.Moreover,this study provides theoretical support for the application of peas as high-quality protein source.Mengqi Pei Zifu Zhao Song Chen E.I.Reshetnik S.L.Gribanova Chun Li Guofang Zhang Libo Liu Lin Zhao 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:2
16TIME-IGGCAS model validation:Comparisons with empirical models and observations显示文摘The TIME-IGGCAS (Theoretical Ionospheric Model of the Earth in Institute of Ge- ology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) has been developed re- cently on the basis of previous works. To test its validity, we have made compari- sons of model results with other typical empirical ionospheric models (IRI, NeQuick-ITUR, and TItheridge temperature models) and multi-observations (GPS, Ionosondes, Topex, DMSP, FORMOSAT, and CHAMP) in this paper. Several conclu- sions are obtained from our comparisons. The modeled electron density and elec- tron and ion temperatures are quantitatively in good agreement with those of em- pirical models and observations. TIME-IGGCAS can model the electron density variations versus several factors such as local time, latitude, and season very well and can reproduce most anomalistic features of ionosphere including equatorial anomaly, winter anomaly, and semiannual anomaly. These results imply a good base for the development of ionospheric data assimilation model in the future. TIME-IGGCAS underestimates electron temperature and overestimates ion tem- perature in comparison with either empirical models or observations. The model results have relatively large deviations near sunrise time and sunset time and at the low altitudes. 17GPS detection of the coseismic ionospheric disturbances following the 12 May 2008 M7.9 Wenchuan earthquake in China显示文摘Here we report two cases of coseismic ionospheric disturbances observed through a GPS network in China after the great Wenchuan earthquake at 06:28 UT on 12 May,2008.One is detected 7.9 min after the earthquake and had an intensive'N'shape oscillated waveform with a pronounced amplitude of about 1 TECU,which propagates approximately southward to the distance about 1000 km with the horizontal phase velocity of 600±84 m/s and the period of 9.5±1.3 min.The other is detected8.5 min after the earthquake and has an oscillated waveform more like a positive pulse with an amplitude of about 0.5 TECU,which propagates eastward to the distance about 800 km with the horizontal phase velocity of 720±59 m/s and the period of7.4±0.8 min.These two coseismic ionospheric disturbances are caused by the acoustic gravity waves excited by partial transformation of the acoustic waves originated from the energy release of the earthquake,somewhere near the epicenter.The directional preferences of these two coseismic ionospheric disturbances may be associated with the oblique geomagnetic field lines and the background winds filtering effect.SONG Qian DING Feng YU Tao WAN WeiXing NING BaiQi LIU LiBo ZHAO BiQiang 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,1:2
