2Homogenized Daily Mean/Maximum/Minimum Temperature Series for China from 1960-2008显示文摘Inhomogeneities in the daily mean/maximum/minimum temperature (T m /T max /T min) series from 1960 2008 at 549 National Standard Stations (NSSs) in China were analyzed by using the Multiple Analysis of Series for Homogenization (MASH) software package.Typical biases in the dataset were illustrated via the cases of Bei-jing (BJ),Wutaishan (WT),ürümqi (UR) and Henan (HN) stations.The homogenized dataset shows a mean warm-ing trend of 0.261/0.193/0.344oC/decade for the annual series of T m /T max /T min,slightly smaller than that of the original dataset by 0.006/0.009/0.007oC/decade.However,considerable differences between the adjusted and origi-nal datasets were found at the local scale.The adjusted T min series shows a significant warming trend almost eve-rywhere for all seasons,while there are a number of sta-tions with an insignificant trend in the original dataset.The adjusted T m data exhibit significant warming trends annually as well as for the autumn and winter seasons in northern China,and cooling trends only for the summer in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and parts of cen-tral China and for the spring in southwestern China,while the original data show cooling trends at several stations for the annual and seasonal scales in the Qinghai,Shanxi,Hebei,and Xinjiang provinces.The adjusted T max data exhibit cooling trends for summers at a number of stations in the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze and Yellow Riv-ers and for springs and winters at a few stations in south-western China,while the original data show cooling trends at three/four stations for the annual/autumn periods in the Qinghai and Yunnan provinces.In general,the number of stations with a cooling trend was much smaller in the adjusted T m and T max dataset than in the original dataset.The cooling trend for summers is mainly due to cooling in August.The results of homogenization using MASH appear to be robust;in particular,different groups of stations with consideration of elevation led to minor effects in the results.LI Zhen YAN Zhong-Wei 2009Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters2009,2,4:86

4Targeted Mutagenesis in Zea mays Using TALENs and the CRISPR/Cas System显示文摘Transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs) and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated(Cas) systems have emerged as powerful tools for genome editing in a variety of species. Here, we report, for the first time, targeted mutagenesis in Zea mays using TALENs and the CRISPR/Cas system. We designed five TALENs targeting 4 genes, namely ZmPDS, ZmIPK1A, ZmIPK, ZmMRP4, and obtained targeting efficiencies of up to 23.1% in protoplasts, and about 13.3% to 39.1% of the transgenic plants were somatic mutations. Also, we constructed two gRNAs targeting the ZmIPK gene in maize protoplasts, at frequencies of 16.4% and 19.1%, respectively. In addition, the CRISPR/Cas system induced targeted mutations in Z. mays protoplasts with efficiencies(13.1%) similar to those obtained with TALENs(9.1%). 9Five-year plans, China finance and their consequences显示文摘An important factor influencing corporate finance and economic growth in China lies in its government sponsored industrial policies. Examining China's five-year plans during 1991–2010, we find that state-owned firms in government supported industries enjoy faster growth in initial public offerings and higher offer prices. Further, they enjoy faster growth in loans granted by major national banks. However, this preferential access to capital by state-owned firms appears to be achieved at the expense of non-state-owned firms which are crowded out. 12Multiple genetic alterations and behavior of cellular biology in gastric cancer and other gastric mucosal lesions:H.pylori infection,histological types and staging显示文摘AIM To investigate the expression of multiplegenes and the behavior of cellular biology ingastric cancer(GC)and other gastric mucosallesions and their relations to Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection,tumor staging andhistological subtypes.METHODS Three hundred and twenty-sevenspecimens of gastric mucosa obtained viaendoscopy or surgical resection,and ABCimmunohistochemical staining were used todetect the expression of p53,p16,Bcl-2 andCOX-2 proteins.H.pylori was determined byrapid urea test combined with pathologicalstaining or14C urea breath test.Cellular image analysis was performed in 66 patients withintestinal metaplasia(IM)and/or dysplasia(Dys).In 30 of them,both cancer and theparacancerous tissues were obtained at the timeof surgery.Histological pattern,tumor staging,lymph node metastasis,grading ofdifferentiation and other clinical data werestudied in the medical records.RESULTS p16 expression of IM or Dys wassignificantly lower in positive H.pylori chronicatrophic gastritis(CAG)than those withnegative H.pylori(CAG:54.8% vs 88.0%,IM:34.4% vs 69.6%,Dys:23.8% vs 53.6%,allP<0.05),Bcl-2 or COX-2 expression of IM orDys in positive H.pylori cases was significantlyhigher than that without H.pylori(Bcl-2:68.8%vs23.9%,90.5% vs 60.7%;COX-2:50.0% vs10.8%,61.8% vs 17.8%;all P<0.05).Themean number of most parameters of cellularimage analysis in positive H.pylori group wassignificantly higher than that in negative H.pylori group(Ellipser:53±14,40±12μm,Area1:748±572,302±202 μm2,Area2:3050±1661,1681±1990 μm2,all P<0.05;Ellipseb:79±23,58±15 μm,Ratio1:22%±5%,13%±4%,Ratio2:79%±17%,53%±20%,all P<0.01).There was significant correlation between Bcl-2and histologic pattern of gastric carcinoma,andbetween COX-2 and tumor staging or lymph nodemetastasis(Bcl-2:75.0% vs 16.7%;COX-2:76.0% vs 20.0%,79.2% vs 16.7%;allP<0.05).CONCLUSION p1l6, Bcl-2, and COX-2 but not p53 gene may play a role in the early genesis/ progression of gastric carcinoma and are associated with H. pylori infection. p53 gene is relatively late event in gastric tumorigenesis and mainly relates to its progression. There is more cellular-biological behavior of malignant tumor in gastric mucosal lesions with H. pylori infection. Aberrant Bcl-2 protein expression appears to be preferentially associated with the intestinal type cancer. 15Type synthesis of the rotational decoupled parallel mechanism based on screw theory显示文摘With the gradual deepening of study on the parallel mechanism,the difficulty brought by the existence of coupling to the theoretical analysis and practical application of parallel mechanisms is becoming increasingly apparent.The research on the decoupled parallel mechanism is currently one of the hot fields.Though most of the rotational parallel mechanisms,which has been widely used in spatial orientation fields,are not decoupled.It is comparative difficult for the synthesis of fully decoupled rotational parallel mechanisms,and the number of the existing parallel mechanisms which can realize rotational decoupling is limited.In addition,most of the existing rotational decoupled parallel mechanism are obtained depending on the experience of the researcher,and don't possess the general theoretical significance.Based on the screw theory,this paper presents the rotational conditions of the parallel mechanism through the analysis of the relationship between the degree of freedom of the parallel mechanism and its limbs.The synthesis rule of the limbs for decoupled rotational parallel mechanism is established according to the twist screw system of the limbs,which assures the decoupling of the rotations in each limb.The selection principle of the input pairs for the rotation driven limbs is proposed,then the type synthesis method for rotational decoupled parallel mechanisms is formed.With this type synthesis method,synthesis of the rotational decoupled parallel mechanisms is performed,which can provide a reference for the development of the novel type parallel mechanisms with independent intellectual property rights.ZENG DaXing HUANG Zhen 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,4:49
16Recovery of Iron From High-Iron Red Mud by Reduction Roasting With Adding Sodium Salt显示文摘Red mud is the waste generated during aluminum production from bauxite, containing lots of iron and other valuable metals. In order to recover iron from red mud, the technology of adding sodium carbonate-reduction roasting-magnetic separation to treat high-iron red mud was developed. The effects of sodium carbonate dosage, reduction temperature and reduction time on the qualities of final product and the phase transformations in reduction process were discussed in detail. The results showed that the final product (mass percent), assaying Fe of 90.87% and Al2O3 of 0.95% and metallization degree of 94.28% was obtained at an overall iron recovery of 95.76% under the following conditions of adding 8% sodium carbonate, reduction roasting at 1 050 ℃ for 80 min and finally magnetic separation of the reduced pellets by grinding up to 90% passing 0.074 mm at magnetic field intensity of 0.08 T. The XRD (X-ray diffraction) results indicated that the iron oxides were transformed into metallic iron. 19MXene-based materials for electrochemical energy storage显示文摘Rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors are widely investigated as the most important electrochemical energy storage devices nowadays due to the booming energy demand for electric vehicles and hand-held electronics. The large surface-area-to-volume ratio and internal surface areas endow two-dimensional(2D) materials with high mobility and high energy density; therefore, 2D materials are very promising candidates for Li ion batteries and supercapacitors with comprehensive investigations. In 2011, a new kind of 2D transition metal carbides, nitrides and carbonitrides, MXene, were successfully obtained from MAX phases. Since then about 20 different kinds of MXene have been prepared. Other precursors besides MAX phases and even other methods such as chemical vapor deposition(CVD) were also applied to prepare MXene, opening new doors for the preparation of new MXene. Their 2D nature and good electronic properties ensure the inherent advantages as electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage. In this review, we summarize the recent progress in the development of MXene with emphasis on the applications to electrochemical energy storage. 20Combined detection tumor markers for diagnosis and prognosis of gallbladder cancer显示文摘AIM:To clarify the value of combined use of markers for the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer and prediction of its prognosis.METHODS:Serum cancer antigens(CA)199,CA242,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and CA125 levels were measured in 78 patients with gallbladder cancer(GBC),78 patients with benign gallbladder diseases,and 78 healthy controls using electrochemiluminescence.CA199,CA242,CEA,and CA125 levels and positive rates were analyzed and evaluated pre-and postoperatively.Receiver operator characteristic curves were used to determine diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of GBC.Survival time analysis,including survival curves,and multivariate survival analysis of a Cox proportional hazards model was performed to evaluate independent prognostic factors.RESULTS:Serum CA242,CA125,and CA199 levels in the GBC group were significantly higher when compared with those in the benign gallbladder disease and healthy control groups(P<0.01).With a single tumor marker for GBC diagnosis,the sensitivity of CA199 was the highest(71.7%),with the highest specificity being in CA242(98.7%).Diagnostic accuracy was highest with a combination of CA199,CA242,and CA125(69.2%).CA242 could be regarded as a tumor marker of GBC infiltration in the early stage.The sensitivity of CA199 and CA242 increased with progression of GBC and advanced lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The78 GBC patients were followed up for 6-12 mo(mean:8 mo),during which time serum CA199,CA125,and CA242 levels in the recurrence group were significantly higher than in patients without recurrence(P<0.01).The post-operative serum CA199,CA125,and CA242levels in the non-recurrence group were significantly lower than those in the GBC group(P<0.01).Multivariate survival analysis using a Cox proportional hazards model showed that cancer of the gallbladder neck and CA199 expression level were independent prognostic factors.CONCLUSION:CA242 is a marker of GBC infiltration in the early stage.CA199 and cancer of the gallbladder neck are therapeutic and prognostic markers.Yun-Feng Wang Fei-Ling Feng Xu-Hong Zhao Zhen-Xiong Ye He-Ping Zeng Zhen Li Xiao-Qing Jiang Zhi-Hai Peng 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,14:37
