1Effect of Silver Content on Microstructure and Properties of Brass/steel Induction Brazing Joint Using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn Filler Metal显示文摘The induction brazing of brass to steel using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal was investigated in this study.The influence of Ag content on the microstructure and properties were analyzed by means of optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and electron probe microanalysis.Defect free joint was achieved using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal.The microstructure of the joint was mainly composed of Ag-based solid solution and Cu-based solid solution.The increase of Ag content and the cooling rate both led to the increase of the needle like eutectic structure.The tensile strength decreased with the increase of Ag content.The tensile strength at room temperature using Ag25CuZnSn filler metal reached 445 MPa.All fractures using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal presented ductile characteristic.J. 3Morphology Control and Optical Absorption Properties of Ag Nanoparticles by Ion Implantation显示文摘Ion implantation is a powerful method for fabricating nanoparticles in dielectric.For the actual application of nanoparticle composites,a careful control of nanoparticles has to be achieved.In this letter,the size,distribution and morphology of Ag nanoparticles are controlled by controlling the ion current density,ion implantation sequence and ion irradiation dose.Single layer Ag nanoparticles are formed by Ag+ion implantation at current density of 2.5μA/cm2.By Ag and Cu ions sequential implantation,the size of single layer Ag nanoparticles increases.While,by Cu and Ag ions sequential implantation,uniform Ag nanoparticles with wide distribution are formed.The morphology of Ag nanoparticles changes to hollow and sandwiched nanoparticles by Cu+ion irradiation to doses of 3×1016 and 5×1016 ions/cm2.The optical absorption properties of Ag nanoparticles are also tailored by these ways.G.X. 7INFLUENCING FACTORS FOR OBTAINING ULTRAFINE AUSTENITE GRAINS WITH INITIAL MICROSTRUCTURE OF WARM-ROLLED FERRITE/PEARLITE显示文摘Three warm-rolled ferrite/pearlite microstructures were prepared by rolling at 500℃, and the austenitizing characteristics were discussed in conjunction with deformation during the heating stage. The results indicated that the final austenite grain size was sensitive to the deformation direction of the initial warm-rolled microstructure. The transient microstructure at a given temperature was the most important influencing factor on the austenitizing characteristic combined with deformation. 8FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF VISCOUS FLOW PAST A ROTATING SPHERE显示文摘Viscous flow past a rotating sphere with a constant rotating speed about an axis aligned with the free stream was investigated numerically by solving the three dimensional Navier Stokes equations using the finite element method. To elucidate the character of this flow in the near wake, the flow structures at different Reynolds numbers and rotating speeds are examined. The axisymmetric and non axisymmetric flow structures were observed at Re=200 and 250, respectively, which rotate as a whole around the rotating axis steadily. At Re=300, the vortex shedding appears and the wake becomes more complicated. At low rotating speeds, the flow is dominated by the vortex shedding at higher Reynolds numbers. As the rotating speed increases, the rotating effect gets stronger and the interaction between the rotating action and the vortex shedding results a swirling vortex pattern in the near wake of the sphere.Wang, Y.X. 13ANALYSIS OF STABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF NONLINEAR FLUID STRUCTURE INTERACTION SYSTEM IN INTERNAL FLOWS显示文摘A set of nonlinear partial differential equations was used to describe the motions of an internal flowing system, with the consideration of transient fluid structure interaction (FSI). The stabitity characteristics of the system were analyzed on the basis of the nonlinear FSI equation model. The results show that the stability of the nonlinear FSI system become very complicated because of the influence of strongly couplied interaction between flowing liquid and vibrating pipe. The flowing velocity, pressure, the piping stiffness, and constrained conditions, etc. play a very important role in developing procedure of the system stabilization. In an analysis example given in this paper, for example, when the flowing pressure is comparatively small, the system exhibits flutter instability, and when the flowng pressure is increases to a specified value, a subcritical divergence and a supercritical flutter bifurcation take successively place in the same velocity range.Zhang, L.X.
