1EFFECT OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION ON RETAINED AUSTENITE IN TRIP STEEL显示文摘The systematic chemical compositions including common C, Si, Mn, Al, and micro- alloying elements of Ti and Nb were designed for high volume fraction of retained austenite as much as possible. The thermo-cycle experiments were conducted by using Gleeble 2000 thermo-dynamic test machine for finding the appropriate composition. The experimental results showed that chemical composition had a significant effect on retained austenite, and the appropriate compositions were determined for commercial production of TRIP steels.Y. 4THE EFFECT OF POWERFUL OXYGEN EVOLUTION METAL-OXIDE ON THE ELECTROOXIDATION OF METHANOL显示文摘An improved thermal decomposition method is used to prepare modified titanium base anode. Some researches have been carried out to learn about the oxygen evolution properties of RuMn, RuCo, RuCe and RuEu etc. in H2SO4 solution and their effect on the electrooxidation of methanol if added into the catalytic layers of Pt/Ti electrodes. The result indicates that the Pt/Ti electrodes containing RuMn, RuCo and RuEu etc. metal oxide catalysts with the powerful evolution property exhibit a higher electro-catalytic activity towards methanol electrooxidation than Pt/Ti electrodes without composite metal oxide catalysts.X.C. 5Microstructures and mechanical properties of Ti3Al/Ni-based superalloy joints brazed with AuNi filler metal显示文摘For the purpose of high-temperature service and the weight reduction in aviation engineering applications, the dissimilar joining of Ti3Al-based alloy to Ni-based superalloy (GH536) was conducted using Au-17.5Ni (wt%) brazing filler metal. The microstructure and chemical composition at the interfaces were investigated by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. The diffusion behaviors of elements were analyzed as well. The results indicated that the Ti3Al/GH536 joint microstructure was characterized by multiple layer structures. Element Ni from Au-Ni filler metal reacted with Ti3Al base metal, leading to the formation of AlNi2Ti and NiTi compounds. Element Ni from Ti3Al base metal reacted with Ni and thus Ni3Nb phase was detected in the joint central area. Due to the dissolution of Ni-based superalloy,(Ni,Au) solid solution ((Ni,Au)ss) and Ni-rich phase were visible adjacent to the superalloy side. The average tensile strength of all the joints brazed at 1253 K for 5-20 min was above 356 MPa at room-temperature. In particular, the joints brazed at 1253 K/15 min presented the maximum tensile strength of434 MPa at room-temperature, and the strength of 314 MPa was maintained at 923 K. 6INVESTIGATION OF MULTI-STEP THERMO-MECHANICALTREATMENT OF CAN-FORGED TiAl-BASED ALLOY显示文摘The effects of a new technology, multi-step thermo-mechanical treatment, on the microstructure, deformation substructure and mechanical properties at ambient and elevated tempemture of can-forged Ti-33 Al-3 Cr-0.5Mo (wt%) Alloy were investigated.The results show that, after multi-step thermo-mechanical treatment of can-forged specimens, homogeneous, fine microstructures can be obtained in the whole TiAl-based alloy specimens. 7EFFECT OF Cu-Ni CONTENT ON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-90NiFe204)CERMET INERT ANODE FOR ALUMINUM ELECTROLYSIS显示文摘(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-9ONiFe_2O_4)cermet inert anodes containing metal Cu-Ni 0,5,10, 15 and 20 wt pct were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na_3AlF_6-Al_2O_3 melts was investigated.The results indicate that the content of metal Cu-Ni has little effect on the steady-state concentration of Ni in the electrolyte and the values could not be used to effectively differentiate their corrosion resistance.The steady-state concentration of Fe decreases from 304×10^(-6)to 168×10^(-6)and that of Cu increases from 21×10^(-6)to 71×10^(-6)with the content of metal Cu-Ni increasing from 0 to 20 wt pct.Post-examination shows that metallic phase Cu-Ni is corroded preferentially during electrolysis and many pores are left at the anode surface.Considering the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity,the cermet containing metal Cu-Ni 5 wt pct should be selected and studied further.Z.L. 8PREPARING NANO-CRYSTALLINE La DOPED WC/Co POWDER BY HIGH ENERGY BALL MILLING显示文摘The La doped WC/Co powder was prepared by high energy ball milling. The changesof crystal structure, micrograph and defect of the powder were investigated by means ofXRD (X-ray diffraction), SEM (scanning electron microscope) and DTA (differentialthermal analysis). The results show that adding trace La element into carbides iseffective to minish the grain size of WC/Co powder. The La doped carbides powderwith grain size of 30nm can be obtained after 1Oh ball milling. The XRD peak of Cophase disappeared after 20h ball milling, which indicated solid solution (or secondarysolid solution) of Co phase in WC phase. The La doped powder with grain size of1Ohm is obtained after 30h ball milling. A peak of heat release at the temperatureof 470℃ was emerged in DTA curve within the range of heating temperature, whichshowed that the crystal structure relaxation of the powder appeared in the process ofhigh energy ball milling. 9THERMAL STRESSES RELAXATION DESIGN OF Ni/NiFe_(2)O_(4) SYSTEM FUNCTIONALLY GRADED CERMET INERT ANODE显示文摘The thermal stresses relaxation of Ni/NiFe2O4 system functionally graded cermet inert anode for aluminum electrolysis was optimally designed. The transient thermal stresses of the inert anode under complex boundary condition during high-temp (955°C) electrolysis were calculated using the finite-element software ANSYS, the influence of different parameters on the distribution of the thermal stresses were analyzed. The results showed that, during the process of thermal shock, the thermal hoop tensile stress on the surface of the anode is very large, which is possibly the major cause of anode crack; when the radius of the anode is between 0.05-0.15m, a range that can be realized by recent manufacturing technology, the optimum composition distribution exponent p is 0.25; The hoop tensile stresses reduce with the decrease of anode scale and also decrease with the decrease of the convection coefficient between the electrolyte and the anode.J. 13Superplasticity of Ti2448 Alloy with Nanostructured Grains显示文摘Ti-24Nb-4Zr-8Sn, abbreviated as Ti2448 from its chemical composition in weight percent, is a multifunctional β type titanium alloy with body centered cubic (bcc) crystal structure, and its highly localized plastic deformation behavior contributes significantly to grain refinement during conventional cold processing. In the paper, the nanostructured (NS) alloy with grain size less than 50 nm produced by cold rolling has been used to investigate its superplastic deformation behavior by uniaxial tensile tests at initial strain rates of 1.5×10-2, 1.5×10-3 and 1.6×10-4 s-1 and temperatures of 600, 650 and 700℃. The results show that, in comparison with the coarse-grained alloy with size of 50 μm, the NS alloy has better superplasticity with elongation up to ~275% and ultimate strength of 50–100 MPa. Strain rate sensitivity (m) of the NS alloy is 0.21, 0.30 and 0.29 for 600, 650 and 700℃, respectively. 15FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF VISCOUS FLOW PAST A ROTATING SPHERE显示文摘Viscous flow past a rotating sphere with a constant rotating speed about an axis aligned with the free stream was investigated numerically by solving the three dimensional Navier Stokes equations using the finite element method. To elucidate the character of this flow in the near wake, the flow structures at different Reynolds numbers and rotating speeds are examined. The axisymmetric and non axisymmetric flow structures were observed at Re=200 and 250, respectively, which rotate as a whole around the rotating axis steadily. At Re=300, the vortex shedding appears and the wake becomes more complicated. At low rotating speeds, the flow is dominated by the vortex shedding at higher Reynolds numbers. As the rotating speed increases, the rotating effect gets stronger and the interaction between the rotating action and the vortex shedding results a swirling vortex pattern in the near wake of the sphere.Wang, Y.X. 16Magnetoelectric effects in multiferroic laminated plates with imperfect interfaces显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)equations for multiferroic(MF)laminated plates with imperfect interfaces are established in this paper.The interface between two adjacent sublayers,which are not perfectly bonded together,is modeled as a general spring-type layer.The mechanical displacements,and the electric and magnetic potentials of the two adjacent layers are assumed to be discontinuous at the interface.As an example,the influences of imperfect interfaces on the magnetoelectric(ME)coupling effects in an MF sandwich plate are investigated with the established 2D governing equations.Numerical results show that the imperfect interfaces have a significant impact on the ME coupling effects in MF laminated structures.DJ. 18FABRICATION OF Ti/SiC MMCs BY VACUUM HOT PRESSING WITH AID OF HYDROGEN显示文摘In order to alleviate the severe interface reaction, which is likely to occur during the fabrication of continuous SiC fiber reinforced titanium matrix composite, hydrogen was temporarily introduced in the fabrication to lower the consolidation temperature of Ti/SiC composites in the present work. Effects of different fabrication conditions, with or without hydrogen, on the bonding state and the matrix microstructure were investigated. In-situ hydrogenation method was found to larpely improve the interface bonding of the composite, and full consolidation could be achieved at 750 or even 700° C more than 100°C lower than the normal fabrication temperature of Ti/SiC composite, which consequently reduced the interfacial reaction layer between Ti matrix and SiC fiber. Different hydrogenation condition led to different matrix microstructure. In order to avoid the embrittling effect of residual hydrogen on the composite,Ti/SiC composite needs to be held in vacuum at the fabrication temperature for longer time after consolidation.C.H.
