5INVESTIGATION OF BONDING IN NANO-SiO_(2) BY Si L_(2,3) X-RAY ABSORPTION NEAR-EDGE STRUCTURE SPECTROSCOPY显示文摘The Si L2,3 X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) can be used to probe the local structure around Si and derive electronic information of the unoccupied s- and d-like partial density of states in nano-size SiO2. We present Si L2,3-edge for three different size silicates acquired by total electron yield (TEY) at the photoemission station of Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF). The Si L2,3-edge spectra are interpreted based on ab initio full multiple-scattering (MS) calculation. The Si L2,3-edge of nano-size materials has XANES similar to that of a-quartz. The similarities between the Si L2,3-edge shapes attest to a common molecular-orbital picture of their Si-O bonding and the same coordination state. However, a considerable broadening of Si L2,3-edge XANES spectra as decrease of particle size is also an indicative of polyhedral distortions.Z.Y. Wu, K. Ibrahim, G. Li, J. Zhang, F.Q. 6Foundry technology and its applications of ductile iron castings produced by water-cooled copper alloy Mold显示文摘The high efficiency mechanized foundry technology of castings produced by using water-cooled copper alloy permanent mold has been systematically studied. Through the researching a Cu-Cr-Mg alloy with high conductivity and good combined mechanical properties used for making permanent mold was developed, and the basic design principles of the water-cooled permanent mold along with the control-range of relevant foundry processing parameters were also established. A cast production line equipped with water-cooled copper alloy mold was designed and fabricated for production of ductile iron automobile gear castings, This production line can consistently make automobile gear castJngs Jn QT500-15 and QT600-5 (Chinese Standard) grades of ductile iron with up to 95% casting success rate.~*X. 12STRUCTURAL DETERMINATION OF TITANIUM-OXIDE NANOPARTICLES BY X-RAY ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY显示文摘As a potential application of titanium-oxide nanoparticles, it is extremely importantto investigate a detailed picture of the surface and interior structural properties ofnanocrystalline materials, such as rutile and anatase with diameters 7.0 and 4.5nm,respectively. X-ray absorption spectroscopy has been used to identify the local Ti envi-ronment and related electronic structure. We combine the experimental results at theTi edge in both bulk and nano-crystals to determine the lattice distortion in terms ofdifferently characteristic preedge features and the variation in the multiple-scatteringregion of X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectra. 13EFFECT OF ELECTROLESS DEPOSITION CONDITIONS ON THE STRUCTURES AND THE MAGNETIC PERFORMANCES OF THE Co-Fe-P ALLOY显示文摘Electroless Co-Fe-P alloys were deposited from an alkaline bath, containing boric acid as a buffer agent and sodium citrate as a complexing agent. As a result, with the increase of pH of the bath, the iron content of the deposit increased, whereas the cobalt and phosphorus contents decreased. The structure of the deposit was investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The deposit consisted of hexahedron phase Co, cubic phase Fe-Co, and amorphous phase (crystalline). The magnetic performances of the deposit were studied using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The more the content of Fe and the less the content of P (the content of Co being less), the better the magnetic performances of the deposit.
