| 1 | In Search of the Cretaceous-Tertiary Boundary in Heilongjiang River Area of China显示文摘Abstract A new geological section recognized in Baishantou of Jiayin, Heilongjiang Province, China, was studied preliminarily in searching for the K/T boundary. An early Paleocene florule characrerized by abundant Tiliaephyllum tsagajanicum leaves and its associated plants, was collected from the Baishantou Member (new member representing the lower part of the Paleocene Wuyun Formation) overlying the possible K/T boundary. A tuff bed was found from the upper part of the Furao Formation (uppermost Cretaceous) in this section. The new findings imply that the K/T boundary is probable lying in the interval between the base of the Baishantou Member and the tuff bed, based on the correlation of the present strata with the stratotype of the Tsagajan Group spanning the K/T boundary in 'Belaya Gara' of the Bureya Basin, Russia. The early Paleocene florule from the Baishantou Member and the early-middle Maastrichtian dinosaurs found from the Yuliangzi Formation underlying the Furao Formation suggest that the Baishantou section is more promising for searching for the K/T boundary in this area. Further studies of the section is needed, integrating paleontological, biostratigraphic, geochemical, paleomagnetic, and sedimentary research would benefit our understanding the mass extinction event and biotic recovery in the Heilongjiang River area, China, and even all of northeast Asia during the K/T boundary interval. | Sun G. | 3 | EXPERIMENTS AND SIMULATIONS OF A NEW DEVELOPED FORMING TECHNOLOGY-SHEAR-EXTRUSION PROCESS OF COMPONENTS WITH BRANCHES显示文摘Shear-extrusion process and its forming parumeters are proposed, whilst its laborsav- ing characteristic is utilized to forge large-size shutoff valve body on middle-due press. This new process is intended for the manufacture of large-size forged tubular components with branches on middle-due press. Experiments are carried out and processing parameters are obtained regarding the shear-extrusion process of a large-size shutoff valve body. Daformation and metal flow in the shear-extrusion process are inves- tigated. In orber to verify the laborsaving characteristic of this new process some contrastive experiments of extrusion force are performed between shear-extrusion and upsetting-extrusion for forming tubular components with branches. Based on rigid plastic FEM a plane-stain model is established to analyze shear-extrusion process of tubular components with branches. The analysis results by 2-dimensions PEM are comparatively quite well consistent with those of experiments. | 5 | Mechanisms of High Coercivity in Ni/NiO Composite Films by Post Annealing显示文摘A coercivity as large as 2.4 kOe has been achieved in the Ni/NiO composite film after an annealing under a magnetic field of 10 kOe and an O_2 partial pressure of 0.001 torr.The coercivity was attributed to the strong exchange coupling of Ni and NiO.Small grain size of Ni and NiO was observed after the post-annealing.The enhanced coercivity is probably associated with the domain wall pinning by local energy minima,the distribution of Ni and NiO,and the domain structure in the interface of Ni/NiO generated under the presence of the magnetic field during the post-annealing. | J.B. | 6 | INFLUENCE OF COLD ROLLING REDUCTION ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF TWIP STEEL显示文摘The influence of cold rolling reduction on microstructure and mechanical properties of the TWIP (ttwinning induced plasticity) steel was investigated. The results indicated that the steel had better comprehensive mechanical properties when cold rolling reduction was about 65.0% and the annealing temperature was 1000℃. The tensile strength of the steel is about 640MPa and the yield strength is higher than 255MPa, while the elongation is above 82%. The microstructure is composed of austenitic matrix and annealing twins at room temperature, at the same time, a significant amount of annealing twins and stacking faults are observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). | 7 | EFFECT OF Cu-Ni CONTENT ON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-90NiFe204)CERMET INERT ANODE FOR ALUMINUM ELECTROLYSIS显示文摘(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-9ONiFe_2O_4)cermet inert anodes containing metal Cu-Ni 0,5,10, 15 and 20 wt pct were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na_3AlF_6-Al_2O_3 melts was investigated.The results indicate that the content of metal Cu-Ni has little effect on the steady-state concentration of Ni in the electrolyte and the values could not be used to effectively differentiate their corrosion resistance.The steady-state concentration of Fe decreases from 304×10^(-6)to 168×10^(-6)and that of Cu increases from 21×10^(-6)to 71×10^(-6)with the content of metal Cu-Ni increasing from 0 to 20 wt pct.Post-examination shows that metallic phase Cu-Ni is corroded preferentially during electrolysis and many pores are left at the anode surface.Considering the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity,the cermet containing metal Cu-Ni 5 wt pct should be selected and studied further. | Z.L. The compsite had a fine grain size of about 2μm, and exhibited a strain rate sensitivity of about 0.35 and a maximum elongation of 350% at an initial strain rate of 1.1×10-1s-1 at 803K. | 10 | AN IN SITU SURFACE COMPOSITE AND GRADIENT MATERIAL OF Al-Si ALLOY PRODUCED BY ELECTROMAGNETIC FORCE显示文摘Because of the different conductivities between the primary phase (low electric conduc tivity) and the metal melt, electromagnetic force scarcely acts on the primary phase. Thus, an electromagnetic repulsive force applied by the metal melt exerts on the pri mary phase when the movement of the melt in the direction of electromagnetic force is limited. As a result, the repulsive force exerts on the primary phase to push them to move in the direction opposite to that of the electromagnetic force when the metal melt with primary phase solidifies under an electromagnetic force field. Based on this, a new method for production of in situ surface composite and gradient material by electromagnetic force is proposed. An in situ primary Si reinforced surface composite of Al-15wt%Si alloy and gradient material of Al-l9wt%Si alloy were produced by this method. The microhardness of the primary Si is HV1320. The reinforced phase size is in the range from 40μm to 100μm. The wear resistance of Al-Si alloy gradient material can be more greatly increased than that of their matrix material. | Z.M. Xu, T.X. | 13 | MICROSTRUCTURAL STUDY OF Fe-Cr-Al/Al COMPOSITE COATINGS DURING OXIDATION AND SULFIDATION AT 900℃显示文摘The microstructure of a composite coating system,which was composed of an inner layer of Fe-Cr-Al and an outer layer of aluminum,was studied after it was respectively oxidized and sulfurdized at elevated temperatures. Apart from the Al2O3 scale formed on the surface,the microstructure of the composite coatings exposed at 900℃ in air for 4h was a three-layer structure. The first layer consisted of a solid solution of Cr and Fe in α aluminum and an intermetallic compound FeAl3,while the second layer was a single phase of the aluminide and the third layer still remained the same appearance as the original Fe-Cr-Al coating. The microstructural observation of the specimen tested at 850-900℃ at low oxygen pressure and high sulfur pressure for 576h revealed that the surface coatings of the specimen had transformed into a duplex structure containing an outer layer and a thicker aluminide layer beneath. X-ray diffraction results showed that the out layer was composed of Al2S3 and Al2O3 and that AlCrFe2 was the main phase composition of the aluminide layer,with a few of Al2S3 and Al2O3 accompanied. | Z.L.
