Polysaccharides from Angelica sinensis alleviate neuronal cell injury caused by oxidative stress显示文摘Angelica sinensis has antioxidative and neuroprotective effects. In the present study, we aimed to determine the neuroprotective effect of polysaccharides isolated from Angelica sinensis. In a preliminary experiment, Angelica sinensis polysaccharides not only protected PC12 neuronal cells from H 2 O 2-induced cytotoxicity, but also reduced apoptosis and intracellular reactive oxygen species levels, and increased the mitochondrial membrane potential induced by H 2 O 2 treatment. In a rat model of local cerebral ischemia, we further demonstrated that Angelica sinensis polysaccharides enhanced the antioxidant activity in cerebral cortical neurons, increased the number of microvessels, and improved blood flow after ischemia. Our findings highlight the protective role of polysaccharides isolated from Angelica sinensis against nerve cell injury and impairment caused by oxidative stress. | Tao Lei Haifeng Li Zhen Fang Junbin Lin Shanshan Wang Lingyun Xiao Fan Yang Xin Liu Junjian Zhang Zebo Huang Weijing Liao | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,3: | 17
Rational development of a human antibody cocktail that deploys multiple functions to confer Pan-SARS-CoVs protection显示文摘Structural principles underlying the composition and synergistic mechanisms of protective monoclonal antibody cocktails are poorly defined. Here,we exploited antibody cooperativity to develop a therapeutic antibody cocktail against SARS-CoV-2.On the basis of our previously identified humanized cross-neutralizing antibody H014,we systematically an a lyzed a fully human n aive antibody library and rationally identified a potent neutralizing antibody partner,P17,which confers effective protection in animal model.Cryo-EM studies dissected the nature of the P17 epitope, which is SARS-CoV-2 specific and distinctly different from that of HOI4.High-resolution structure of the SARS-CoV-2 spike in complex with HOM and P17,together with functional investigations revealed that in a two-antibody cocktail, synergistic neutralization was achieved by S1 shielding and conformational locking, thereby blocking receptor attachment and viral membrane fusion, conferring high potency as well as robustness against viral mutation escape.Furthermore, cluster analysis identified a hypothetical 3rd antibody partner for further reinforcing the cocktail as pan-SARS-CoVs therapeutics. | Hangping Yao Yao Sun Yong-Qiang Deng Nan Wang Yongcong Tan Na-Na Zhang Xiao-Feng Li Chao Kong Yan-Peng Xuc Qi Chen Tian-Shu Cao Hui Zhao Xintian Yan Lei Cao Zhe Lv Dandan Zhu Rui Feng Nanping Wu Wenhai Zhang Yuhao Hu Keda Chen Rong-Rong Zhang Qingyu Lv Shihui Sun Yunhua Zhou Run Yan Guan Yang Xinglu Chanjuan Liu Xiangyun Lu Linfang Cheng Hongying Qiu Xing-Yao Huang Tianhao Weng Danrong Shi Weidong Jiang Junbin Shao Lei Wang Jie Zhang Tao Jiang Guojun Lang Cheng-Feng Qinc Lanjuan Li Xiangxi Wang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,1: | 5
Comparison of nonhuman primates identified the suitable model for COVID-19显示文摘Identification of a suitable nonhuman primate(NHP)model of COVID-19 remains challenging. Here,we characterized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection in three NHP species:Old World monkeys Macaca mulatta(M.mulatta)and Macaca fascicularis(M.fascicularis)and New World monkey Callithrix jacchus(C.jacchus).Infected M.mulatta and M.fascicularis showed abnormal chest radiographs,an increased body temperature and a decreased body weight.Viral genomes were detected in swab and blood samples from all animals.Viral load was detected in the pulmonary tissues of M.mulatta and M.fascicularis but not C.jacchus.Furthermore,among the three animal species,M.mulatta showed the strongest response to SARS-CoV-2,including increased inflammatory cytokine expression and pathological changes in the pulmonary tissues.Collectively, these data revealed the different susceptibilities of Old World and New World monkeys to SARS-CoV-2 and identified M.mulatta as the most suitable for modeling COVID-19. | Shuaiyao Lu Yuan Zhao Wenhai Yu Yun Yang Jiahong Gao Junbin Wang Dexuan Kuang Mengli Yang Jing Yang Chunxia Ma Jingwen Xu Xingli Qian Haiyan Li Siwen Zhao Jingmei Li Haixuan Wang Haiting Long Jingxian Zhou Fangyu Luo Kaiyun Ding Daoju Wu Yong Zhang Yinliang Dong Yuqin Liu Yinqiu Zheng Xiaochen Lin Li Jiao Huanying Zheng Qing Dai Qiangming Sun Yunzhang Hu Changwen Ke Hongqi Liu Xiaozhong Peng | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 5
An optimal dose of tea polyphenols protects against global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Previous studies addressing the protection of tea polyphenols against cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury often use focal cerebral ischemia models, and the optimal dose is not unified. In this experiment, a cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury rat model was established using a modified four-vessel occlusion method. Rats were treated with different doses of tea polyphenols (25, 50, 100, 150, 200 mg/kg) via intraperitoneal injection. Results showed that after 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours of reperfusion, peroxide dismutase activity and total antioxidant capacity in brain tissue gradually increased, while malondialdehyde content gradually decreased after tea polyphenol intervention. Tea polyphenols at 200 mg/kg resulted in the most apparent changes. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling and flow cytometry showed that 200 mg/kg tea polyphenols significantly reduced the number and percentage of apoptotic cells in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. The open field test and elevated plus maze experiments showed that tea polyphenols at 200 mg/kg strengthened exploratory behavior and reduced anxiety of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injured rats. Experimental findings indicate that tea polyphenols protected rats against cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury and 200 mg/kg is regarded as the optimal dose. | Jianrui Lv Rongliang Xue Jing Zhao Xin Wei Hui Gao Rongguo Fu Gang Wu Wei Li Xiaoming Lei Junbin Tian | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,9: | 3
Flexible and wearable BaTiO_(3)/polyacrylonitrile-based piezoelectric sensor for human posture monitoring显示文摘Tactile sensors are essential components of wearable electronic devices, but there are still various problems in terms of energy supply, flexibility and skin adaptability. In this paper,we report a self-powered flexible tactile sensor(FTS)mainly composed of a BaTiO_(3)/polyacrylonitrile/Ecoflex(BTO/PAN/Ecoflex)composite film, which can be used for dynamically monitoring human plantar pressure, posture and other physiological and motion parameters.Combining the synergistic piezoelectric properties of PAN and BTO,the output voltage/current of the BTO/PAN/Ecoflex composite film is 4.5/5.8 times that of the BTO/Ecoflex composite film, with maximum instantaneous power that can reach up to 3.375μW.Under the action of external pressure stress, the FTS can reach a normalized voltage sensitivity and voltage linearity of 0.54 V/N and 0.98,respectively.Furthermore,a human-machine interaction test system is built, which can display the stress changes of human body monitoring parts in real time according to voltage changes and different color assignments. The developed human-machine interaction test system provides a new idea for the diagnosis of flatfoot and other medical diseases.Hence, this work proposes new FTSs that use a BTO/PAN/Ecoflex composite film with high sensitivity and great output performance, thus exhibiting immense potential application prospects in medical research, personalized recognition and human-machine interaction. | MU JiLiang XIAN Shuai YU JunBin LI ZhengYang ZHAO JuanHong ZHONG JiXin HAN XiaoTao HOU XiaoJuan HE Jian CHOU XiuJian | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4: | 3
A static-dynamic energy harvester for a self-powered ocean environment monitoring application显示文摘Ocean intelligent buoy is important for ocean environment monitoring. With the increase of requisite sensors and transportable data,a long power supply has become a problem to be solved urgently. In this work,a hybrid nanogenerator integrating triboelectric, piezoelectric, electromagnetic, photovoltaic, and thermotropic units is proposed to maximize ocean ambient energy harvesting, which includes static energy(solar and thermal energy)and dynamic energy(wave energy).Compared with a device with a single energy conversion mechanism, this structural design breaks the limit of harvesting time and natural conditions during the energy harvesting process, thereby increasing the harvested energy.Static energy harvesting is realized by the thermoelectric(TG)and photovoltaic(PV)units located inside the device and the PV unit attached to the device surface. Results show that the maximum open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 5 V and 41 mA in the external PV and 1.33 V and 49 mA in the internal PV under 30000 Lux illumination, respectively. The open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the TG unit are 5 V and 15 m A,respectively. The core component of the dynamic generation unit is the gimbal used to harvest wave energy by the triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG),piezoelectric generator(PENG),and electromagnetic generator. When the frequency is 2.4 Hz,the maximum peak-to-peak power of the TENG,PENG,and EMG are 0.25,1.58,and 13.8 mW,respectively. Finally,an intelligent ocean buoy is fabricated by the integration of an energy harvester,a power management circuit, sensors,a microcontroller, and a wireless communication module.Driven by static and dynamic energy, temperature signal, humidity signal,GPS signal, and sound signal are sent to the receiving terminal wirelessly. The ocean energy harvester proposed in this work is of great significance for ocean energy harvesting and ocean wireless monitoring systems. | XUE Feng CHEN Liang LI ChunCheng REN Jing YU JunBin HOU XiaoJuan GENG WenPing MU JiLiang HE Jian CHOU XiuJian | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4: | 2
Influence of synthesis temperatures on the crystalline grain growth and morphology of lanthanum magnesium hexaaluminate显示文摘Lanthanum magnesium hexaaluminate(LaMgAl_(11)O_(19), LMA) was prepared at different temperatures by solid-state reaction. Phase compositions and crystal morphologies of specimens synthesized at different temperatures were investigated using X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM). It was observed that the crystalline grain size of LMA was not only dependent on the preparation temperature but also on its powder morphology. In the temperature range of 1300 e1550℃, LMA showed platelet grain and the average crystalline grain size increases with the increase in temperature. At1600℃, if the powder was sintered for two times, the equiaxed grain could be found with the decrease in grain space, resulting in the reduction of the crystalline grain size. Styles of specimens(powder or disk) might have no obvious influence on morphologies and sizes of LMA crystalline grains which were synthesized with the well-dispersed raw material mixtures. The synthesis temperature played a key role in influencing the free space for the formation and growth of crystalline grains. | Junbin Sun Jinshuang Wang Wenzhi Huang Yu Hui Xin Zhou Lifen Li Jianing Jiang Longhui Deng Yunya Niu Shujuan Dong Xueqiang Cao | 2017 | Journal of Rare Earths2017,35,12: | 2
Histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2 by bridging the spike protein subunit 2 and sialic acid on host cells显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)can capture and kill viruses, such as influenza viruses, human immunodeficiency virus(HIV),and respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),thus contributing to host defense.Contrary to our expectation,we show here that the histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2,as found by using live SARS-CoV-2 and two pseudovirus systems as well as a mouse model. The histone H3 or H4 selectively binds to subunit 2 of the spike(S)protein,as shown by a biochemical binding assay, surface plasmon resonance and binding energy calculation as well as the construction of a mutant S protein by replacing four acidic amino acids.Sialic acid on the host cell surface is the key molecule to which histones bridge subunit 2 of the S protein. Moreover, histones enhance cell-cell fusion. Finally, treatment with an inhibitor of NETosis, histone H3 or H4,or sialic acid notably affected the levels of sgRNA copies and the number of apoptotic cells in a mouse model. These findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 could hijack histones from neutrophil NETosis to promote its host cell attachment and entry process and may be important in exploring pathogenesis and possible strategies to develop new effective therapies for COVID-19. | Weiqi Hong Jingyun Yang Jun Zou Zhenfei Bi Cai He Hong Lei Xuemei He Xue Li Aqu Alu Wenyan Ren Zeng Wang Xiaohua Jiang Kunhong Zhong Guowen Jia Yun Yang Wenhai Yu Qing Huang Mengli Yang Yanan Zhou Yuan Zhao Dexuan Kuang Junbin Wang Haixuan Wang Siyuan Chen Min Luo Ziqi Zhang Tiangi Lu Li Chen Haiying Que Zhiyao He Qiu Sun Wei Wang Guobo Shen Guangwen Lu Zhiwei Zhao Li Yang Jinliang Yang Zhenling Wang Jiong Li Xiangrong Song Lunzhi Dai Chong Chen Jia Geng Maling Gou Lu Chen Haohao Dong Yong Peng Canhua Huang Zhiyong Qian Wei Cheng Changfa Fan Yuquan Wei Zhaoming Su Aiping Tong Shuaiyao Lu Xiaozhong Peng Xiawei Wei | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,5: | 2
Comprehensive identification of lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylated proteins in Ustilaginoidea virens reveals the involvement of lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation in fungal virulence显示文摘Lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation(Khib) is a newly identified post-translational modification(PTM) that plays important roles in transcription and cell proliferation in eukaryotes. However, its function remains unknown in phytopathogenic fungi. Here,we performed a comprehensive assessment of Khibin the rice false smut fungus Ustilaginoidea virens, using Tandem Mass Tag(TMT)-based quantitative proteomics approach. A total of 3 426 Khibsites were identified in 977 proteins, sugg esting that Khibis a common and complex PTM in U. virens. Our data demonstrated that the2-hydroxyisobutyrylated proteins are involved in diverse biological processes. Network analysis of the modified proteins revealed a highly interconnected protein network that included many well-studied virulence factors. We confirmed that the Zn-binding reduced potassium dependency3-type histone deacetylase(UvRpd3) is a major enzyme that removes 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation and acetylation in U. virens. Notably, mutations of Khib sites in the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)UvSlt2 significantly reduced fungal virulence and decreased the enzymatic activity of UvSlt2. Molecular dynamics simulations demonstrated that 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation in UvSlt2 increased the hydrophobic solvent-accessible surface area and thereby affected binding between the UvSlt2 enzyme and its substrates. Our findings thus establish Khibas a major post-translational modification in U. virens and point to an important role for Khibin the virulence of this phytopathogenic fungus. | Xiaoyang Chen Xiabing Li Pingping Li Xiaolin Chen Hao Liu Junbin Huang Chaoxi Luo Tom Hsiang Lu Zheng | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,2: | 2

Dyskinesia is Closely Associated with Synchronization of Theta Oscillatory Activity Between the Substantia Nigra Pars Reticulata and Motor Cortex in the Off L-dopa State in Rats显示文摘Excessive theta(θ)frequency oscillation and synchronization in the basal ganglia(BG)has been reported in elderly parkinsonian patients and animal models of levodopa(L-dopa)-induced dyskinesia(LID),particularly theθoscillation recorded during periods when L-dopa is withdrawn(the off L-dopa state). To gain insight into processes underlying this activity,we explored the relationship between primary motor cortex(M1)oscillatory activity and BG output in LID.We recorded local field potentials in the substantia nigra pars reticulata(SNr)and M1 of awake, inattentive resting rats before and after L-dopa priming in Sham control,Parkinson disease model, and LID model groups. We found that chronic L-dopa increasedθsynchronization and information flow between the SNr and M1 in off L-dopa state LID rats, with a SNr-to-M1 flow directionality.Compared with the on state,θoscillational activity(θsynchronization and informationflow)during the off state were more closely associated with abnormal involuntary movements. Our findings indicate thatθoscillation in M1 may be consequent to abnormal synchronous discharges in the BG and support the notion that M1θoscillation may participate in the induction of dyskinesia. | Jiazhi Chen Qiang Wang Nanxiang Li Shujie Huang Min Li Junbin Cai Yuzheng Wang Huantao Wen Siyuan Lv Ning Wang Jinyan Wang Fei Luo Wangming Zhang | 2021 | Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,3: | 1
Sm-MnO_(x)catalysts for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3):Effect of precipitation agent显示文摘A series of Sm-Mn mixed oxide catalysts were prepared via precipitation using various precipitants, namely Na_(2)CO_(3)(NH_(4))_(2)CO_(3),and NH_(3)·H_(2)O,and evaluated for the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO_(x)with NH_(3)at low temperatures.Various characterisation techniques were used to determine the physicochemical properties of the catalysts, and it is found that their catalytic performance is greatly influenced by the nature of the precipitation agent used.It is found that Sm_(0.1)Mn-Na_(2)CO_(3)and Sm_(0.1)Mn-(NH_(4))_(2)CO_(3)exhibit superior catalytic performance in the SCR reaction to that of Sm_(0.1)Mn-NH_(3)·H_(2)O due to an abundance of surface acid sites, high surface concentration of Mn^(4+),and high NO oxidation capacity. From in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFT)analysis,we conclude that the Sm-Mn catalysts follow both Eley-Rideal and Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanisms, and that the Eley-Rideal mechanism is dominant at elevated temperatures. | Junbin Ding Xinwei Yang Aiyong Wang Can Yang Yanglong Guo Yun Guo Li Wang Wangcheng Zhan | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,8: | 1
Pathogenic analysis of coxsackievirus A10 in rhesus macaques显示文摘Coxsackievirus A10(CV-A10)is one of the etiological agents associated with hand, foot and mouth disease(HFMD)and also causes a variety of illnesses in humans, including pneumonia, and myocarditis.Different people, particularly young children, may have different immunological responses to infection.Current CV-A10 infection animal models provide only a rudimentary understanding of the pathogenesis and effects of this virus. The characteristics of CV-A10 infection, replication, and shedding in humans remain unknown. In this study, rhesus macaques were infected by CV-A10 via respiratory or digestive route to mimic the HFMD in humans. The clinical symptoms, viral shedding, inflammatory response and pathologic changes were investigated in acute infection(1–11 day post infection)and recovery period(12–180 day post infection). All infected rhesus macaques during acute infection showed obvious viremia and clinical symptoms which were comparable to those observed in humans.Substantial inflammatory pathological damages were observed in multi-organs,including the lung, heart, liver, and kidney.During the acute period, all rhesus macaques displayed clinical signs, viral shedding, normalization of serum cytokines, and increased serum neutralizing antibodies, whereas inflammatory factors caused some animals to develop severe hyperglycemia during the recovery period. In addition, there were no significant differences between respiratory and digestive tract infected animals.Overall, all data presented suggest that the rhesus macaques provide the first non-human primate animal model for investigating CV-A10 pathophysiology and assessing the development of potential human therapies. | Suqin Duan Fengmei Yang Yanyan Li Yuan Zhao Li Shi Meng Qin Quan Liu Weihua Jin Junbin Wang Lixiong Chen Wei Zhang Yongjie Li Ying Zhang Jingjing Zhang Shaohui Ma Zhanlong He Qihan Li | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,4: | 1

Diffusionmodels for time-series applications: a survey显示文摘Diffusion models, a family of generative models based on deep learning, have become increasinglyprominent in cutting-edge machine learning research. With distinguished performance in generating samples thatresemble the observed data, diffusion models are widely used in image, video, and text synthesis nowadays. Inrecent years, the concept of diffusion has been extended to time-series applications, and many powerful models havebeen developed. Considering the deficiency of a methodical summary and discourse on these models, we providethis survey as an elementary resource for new researchers in this area and to provide inspiration to motivate futureresearch. For better understanding, we include an introduction about the basics of diffusion models. Except forthis, we primarily focus on diffusion-based methods for time-series forecasting, imputation, and generation, andpresent them, separately, in three individual sections. We also compare different methods for the same applicationand highlight their connections if applicable. | 20 | Bladder microenvironment actuated proteomotors with ammonia amplification for enhanced cancer treatment显示文摘Enzyme-driven micro/nanomotors consuming in situ chemical fuels have attracted lots of attention for biomedical applications. However, motor systems composed by organism-derived organics that maximize the therapeutic efficacy of enzymatic products remain challenging.Herein, swimming proteomotors based on biocompatible urease and human serum albumin are constructed for enhanced antitumor therapy via active motion and ammonia amplification.By decomposing urea into carbon dioxide and ammonia, the designed proteomotors are endowed with self-propulsive capability, which leads to improved internalization and enhanced penetration in vitro. As a glutamine synthetase inhibitor, the loaded L-methionine sulfoximine further prevents the conversion of toxic ammonia into non-toxic glutamine in both tumor and stromal cells, resulting in local ammonia amplification. After intravesical instillation, the proteomotors achieve longer bladder retention and thus significantly inhibit the growth of orthotopic bladder tumor in vivo without adverse effects. We envision that the as-developed swimming proteomotors with amplification of the product toxicity may be a potential platform for active cancer treatment. | Hao Tian Juanfeng Ou Yong Wang Jia Sun Junbin Gao Yicheng Ye Ruotian Zhang Bin Chen Fei Wang Weichang Huang Huaan Li Lu Liu Chuxiao Shao Zhili Xu Fei Peng Yingfeng Tu | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9: | 0
