Polysaccharides from Angelica sinensis alleviate neuronal cell injury caused by oxidative stress显示文摘Angelica sinensis has antioxidative and neuroprotective effects. In the present study, we aimed to determine the neuroprotective effect of polysaccharides isolated from Angelica sinensis. In a preliminary experiment, Angelica sinensis polysaccharides not only protected PC12 neuronal cells from H 2 O 2-induced cytotoxicity, but also reduced apoptosis and intracellular reactive oxygen species levels, and increased the mitochondrial membrane potential induced by H 2 O 2 treatment. In a rat model of local cerebral ischemia, we further demonstrated that Angelica sinensis polysaccharides enhanced the antioxidant activity in cerebral cortical neurons, increased the number of microvessels, and improved blood flow after ischemia. Our findings highlight the protective role of polysaccharides isolated from Angelica sinensis against nerve cell injury and impairment caused by oxidative stress. | Tao Lei Haifeng Li Zhen Fang Junbin Lin Shanshan Wang Lingyun Xiao Fan Yang Xin Liu Junjian Zhang Zebo Huang Weijing Liao | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,3: | 17
Carboniferous-Permian Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Environment of Southeastern Inner Mongolia,China:Constraints on Final Closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean显示文摘In this paper we discuss the timing of final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean based on the field investigations of the Carboniferous-Permian stratigraphic sequences and sedimentary environments in southeastern Inner Mongolia combined with the geology of its neighboring areas.Studies show that during the Carboniferous-Permian in the eastern segment of the Tianshan-Hinggan Orogenic System, there was a giant ENE-NE-trending littoral-neritic to continental sedimentary basin, starting in the west from Ejinqi eastwards through southeastern Inner Mongolia into Jilin and Heilongjiang. The distribution of the Lower Carboniferous in the vast area is sparse. The Late Carboniferous or Permian volcanic-sedimentary rocks always unconformably overlie the Devonian or older units. The Upper Carboniferous-Middle Permian is dominated by Iittoral-neritic deposits and the Upper Permian,by continental deposits. The Late Carboniferous-Permian has no trace of subduction-collision orogeny, implying the basin gradually disappeared by shrinking and shallowing. In addition,it is of interest to note that the Ondor Sum and Hegenshan ophiolitic melanges were formed in the pre-Late Silurian and pre-Late Devonian respectively, and the Solonker ophiolitic melange formed in the pre-Late Carboniferous. All the evidence indicates that the eastern segment of the Paleo-Asian Ocean had closed before the Late Carboniferous, and most likely before the latest Devonian(Famennian). | ZHU Junbin REN Jishun | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3: | 12
Discriminating mild from critical COVID-19 by innate and adaptive immune single-cell profiling of bronchoalveolar lavages显示文摘How the innate and adaptive host immune system miscommunicate to worsen COVID-19 immunopathology has not been fully elucidated. Here,we perform single-cell deep-immune profiling of bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)samples from 5 patients with mild and 26 with critical COVID-19 in comparison to BALs from non-COVID-19 pneumonia and normal lung.We use pseudotime inference to build T-cell and monocyte-to-macrophage trajectories and model gene expression changes along them.In mild COVID-19,CD8^(+)resident-memory(TRM)and CD4^(+)T-helper-17(T_(H17))cells undergo active(presumably antigen-driven)expansion towards the end of the trajectory, and are characterized by good effector functions, while in critical COVID-19 they remain more naïve.Vice versa,CD4^(+)T-cells with T-helper-1 characteristics(TH1-like)and CD8^(+)T-cells expressing exhaustion markers(T_(EX)-like)are enriched halfway their trajectories in mild COVID-19,where they also exhibit good effector functions, while in critical COVID-19 they show evidence of inflammation-associated stress at the end of their trajectories.Monocyte-to-macrophage trajectories show that chronic hyperinflammatory monocytes are enriched in critical COVID-19,while alveolar macrophages, otherwise characterized by anti-inflammatory and antigen-presenting characteristics, are depleted. In critical COVID-19,monocytes contribute to an ATP-purinergic signaling-inflammasome footprint that could enable COVID-19 associated fibrosis and worsen disease-severity.Finally,viral RNA-tracking reveals infected lung epithelial cells, and a significant proportion of neutrophils and macrophages that are involved in viral clearance. | Els Wauters Pierre Van Mol Abhishek Dinkarnath Garg Sander Jansen Yannick Van Herck Lore Vanderbeke Ayse Bassez Bram Boeckx Bert Malengier-Devlies Anna Timmerman Thomas Van Brussel Tina Van Buyten Rogier Schepers Elisabeth Heylen Dieter Dauwe Christophe Dooms Jan Gunst Greet Hermans Philippe Meersseman Dries Testelmans Jonas Yserbyt Sabine Tejpar Walter De Wever Patrick Matthys CONTAGIOUS collaborators Johan Neyts Joost Wauters Junbin Qian Diether Lambrechts | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,3: | 11
A pan-cancer blueprint of the heterogeneous tumor microenvironment revealed by single-cell profiling显示文摘The stromal compartment of the tumor microenvironment consists of a heterogeneous set of tissue-resident and tumor-infiltrating cells, which are profoundly moulded by cancer cells. An outstanding question is to what extent this heterogeneity is similar between cancers affecting different organs. Here,we profile 233,591 single cells from patients with lung, colorectal, ovary and breast cancer(n=36)and construct a pan-cancer blueprint of stromal cell heterogeneity using different single-cell RNA and protein-based technologies. We identify 68 stromal cell populations,of which 46 are shared between cancer types and 22 are unique. We also characterise each population phenotypically by highlighting its marker genes, transcription factors, metabolic activities and tissue-specific expression differences.Resident cell types are characterised by substantial tissue specificity, while tumor-infiltrating cell types are largely shared across cancer types. Finally,by applying the blueprint to melanoma tumors treated with checkpoint immunotherapy and identifying a naive CD4+T-cell phenotype predictive of response to checkpoint immunotherapy,we illustrate how it can serve as a guide to interpret scRNA-seq data.In conclusion,by providing a comprehensive blueprint through an interactive web server,we generate the first panoramic view on the shared complexity of stromal cells in different cancers. | Junbin Qian Siel Olbrecht Bram Boeckx Hanne Vos Damya Laoui Emre Etlioglu Els Wauters Valentina Pomella Sara Verbandt Pieter Busschaert Ayse Bassez Amelie Franken Marlies Vanden Bempt Jieyi Xiong Birgit Weynand Yannick van Herck Asier Antoranz Francesca Maria Bosisio Bernard Thienpont Giuseppe Floris Ignace Vergote Ann Smeets Sabine Tejpar Diether Lambrechts | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,9: | 11
Fault self-repair strategy based on evolvable hardware and reparation balance technology显示文摘In the face of harsh natural environment applications such as earth-orbiting and deep space satellites, underwater sea vehicles, strong electromagnetic interference and temperature stress, the circuits faults appear easily. Circuit faults will inevitably lead to serious losses of availability or impeded mission success without self-repair over the mission duration. Traditional fault-repair methods based on redundant fault-tolerant technique are straightforward to implement, yet their area, power and weight cost can be excessive. Moreover they utilize all plug-in or component level circuits to realize redundant backup, such that their applicability is limited. Hence, a novel selfrepair technology based on evolvable hardware(EHW) and reparation balance technology(RBT) is proposed. Its cost is low, and fault self-repair of various circuits and devices can be realized through dynamic configuration. Making full use of the fault signals, correcting circuit can be found through EHW technique to realize the balance and compensation of the fault output-signals. In this paper, the self-repair model was analyzed which based on EHW and RBT technique, the specific self-repair strategy was studied, the corresponding self-repair circuit fault system was designed, and the typical faults were simulated and analyzed which combined with the actual electronic devices. Simulation results demonstrated that the proposed fault self-repair strategy was feasible. Compared to traditional techniques, fault self-repair based on EHW consumes fewer hardware resources, and the scope of fault self-repair was expanded significantly. | Zhang Junbin Cai Jinyan Meng Yafeng Meng Tianzhen | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2014,27,5: | 10
Nano-tribological properties and mechanisms of the liquid crystal as an additive显示文摘Under conditions of low speed, small viscosity and molecularly smooth tribe-surfaces, the behavior of lubricant film in the nano scale is different from that in elas-tohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) and boundary lubrication (BL). Due to the size effect, long-range ordered structure of liquid crystal (LC) has great effects on the tribological properties and film-forming mechanism of thin film in the nano scale. The technique of relative optical interference intensity (ROII) was used to investigate nano-tribological properties when cholesteryl LCs are added to hexadecane. The results indicate that the practical film thickness of hexadecane with liquid crystal is 3-5 times as large as that expected from EHL theory in the low speed region. The film thickness increases with the enhancement in polarity and concentration of LC in hexadecane, and external DC voltage. The effective viscosity of lubricant is related to the film thickness and the voltage and it varies from bulk viscosity to several times or tens | Mingwu Shen Jianbin Luo Shizhu Wen Junbin Yao | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,14: | 8

Rational development of a human antibody cocktail that deploys multiple functions to confer Pan-SARS-CoVs protection显示文摘Structural principles underlying the composition and synergistic mechanisms of protective monoclonal antibody cocktails are poorly defined. Here,we exploited antibody cooperativity to develop a therapeutic antibody cocktail against SARS-CoV-2.On the basis of our previously identified humanized cross-neutralizing antibody H014,we systematically an a lyzed a fully human n aive antibody library and rationally identified a potent neutralizing antibody partner,P17,which confers effective protection in animal model.Cryo-EM studies dissected the nature of the P17 epitope, which is SARS-CoV-2 specific and distinctly different from that of HOI4.High-resolution structure of the SARS-CoV-2 spike in complex with HOM and P17,together with functional investigations revealed that in a two-antibody cocktail, synergistic neutralization was achieved by S1 shielding and conformational locking, thereby blocking receptor attachment and viral membrane fusion, conferring high potency as well as robustness against viral mutation escape.Furthermore, cluster analysis identified a hypothetical 3rd antibody partner for further reinforcing the cocktail as pan-SARS-CoVs therapeutics. | Hangping Yao Yao Sun Yong-Qiang Deng Nan Wang Yongcong Tan Na-Na Zhang Xiao-Feng Li Chao Kong Yan-Peng Xuc Qi Chen Tian-Shu Cao Hui Zhao Xintian Yan Lei Cao Zhe Lv Dandan Zhu Rui Feng Nanping Wu Wenhai Zhang Yuhao Hu Keda Chen Rong-Rong Zhang Qingyu Lv Shihui Sun Yunhua Zhou Run Yan Guan Yang Xinglu Chanjuan Liu Xiangyun Lu Linfang Cheng Hongying Qiu Xing-Yao Huang Tianhao Weng Danrong Shi Weidong Jiang Junbin Shao Lei Wang Jie Zhang Tao Jiang Guojun Lang Cheng-Feng Qinc Lanjuan Li Xiangxi Wang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,1: | 5
Comparison of nonhuman primates identified the suitable model for COVID-19显示文摘Identification of a suitable nonhuman primate(NHP)model of COVID-19 remains challenging. Here,we characterized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection in three NHP species:Old World monkeys Macaca mulatta(M.mulatta)and Macaca fascicularis(M.fascicularis)and New World monkey Callithrix jacchus(C.jacchus).Infected M.mulatta and M.fascicularis showed abnormal chest radiographs,an increased body temperature and a decreased body weight.Viral genomes were detected in swab and blood samples from all animals.Viral load was detected in the pulmonary tissues of M.mulatta and M.fascicularis but not C.jacchus.Furthermore,among the three animal species,M.mulatta showed the strongest response to SARS-CoV-2,including increased inflammatory cytokine expression and pathological changes in the pulmonary tissues.Collectively, these data revealed the different susceptibilities of Old World and New World monkeys to SARS-CoV-2 and identified M.mulatta as the most suitable for modeling COVID-19. | Shuaiyao Lu Yuan Zhao Wenhai Yu Yun Yang Jiahong Gao Junbin Wang Dexuan Kuang Mengli Yang Jing Yang Chunxia Ma Jingwen Xu Xingli Qian Haiyan Li Siwen Zhao Jingmei Li Haixuan Wang Haiting Long Jingxian Zhou Fangyu Luo Kaiyun Ding Daoju Wu Yong Zhang Yinliang Dong Yuqin Liu Yinqiu Zheng Xiaochen Lin Li Jiao Huanying Zheng Qing Dai Qiangming Sun Yunzhang Hu Changwen Ke Hongqi Liu Xiaozhong Peng | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 5
An optimal dose of tea polyphenols protects against global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Previous studies addressing the protection of tea polyphenols against cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury often use focal cerebral ischemia models, and the optimal dose is not unified. In this experiment, a cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury rat model was established using a modified four-vessel occlusion method. Rats were treated with different doses of tea polyphenols (25, 50, 100, 150, 200 mg/kg) via intraperitoneal injection. Results showed that after 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours of reperfusion, peroxide dismutase activity and total antioxidant capacity in brain tissue gradually increased, while malondialdehyde content gradually decreased after tea polyphenol intervention. Tea polyphenols at 200 mg/kg resulted in the most apparent changes. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling and flow cytometry showed that 200 mg/kg tea polyphenols significantly reduced the number and percentage of apoptotic cells in the hippocampal CA1 region of rats after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. The open field test and elevated plus maze experiments showed that tea polyphenols at 200 mg/kg strengthened exploratory behavior and reduced anxiety of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injured rats. Experimental findings indicate that tea polyphenols protected rats against cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury and 200 mg/kg is regarded as the optimal dose. | Jianrui Lv Rongliang Xue Jing Zhao Xin Wei Hui Gao Rongguo Fu Gang Wu Wei Li Xiaoming Lei Junbin Tian | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,9: | 3
Flexible and wearable BaTiO_(3)/polyacrylonitrile-based piezoelectric sensor for human posture monitoring显示文摘Tactile sensors are essential components of wearable electronic devices, but there are still various problems in terms of energy supply, flexibility and skin adaptability. In this paper,we report a self-powered flexible tactile sensor(FTS)mainly composed of a BaTiO_(3)/polyacrylonitrile/Ecoflex(BTO/PAN/Ecoflex)composite film, which can be used for dynamically monitoring human plantar pressure, posture and other physiological and motion parameters.Combining the synergistic piezoelectric properties of PAN and BTO,the output voltage/current of the BTO/PAN/Ecoflex composite film is 4.5/5.8 times that of the BTO/Ecoflex composite film, with maximum instantaneous power that can reach up to 3.375μW.Under the action of external pressure stress, the FTS can reach a normalized voltage sensitivity and voltage linearity of 0.54 V/N and 0.98,respectively.Furthermore,a human-machine interaction test system is built, which can display the stress changes of human body monitoring parts in real time according to voltage changes and different color assignments. The developed human-machine interaction test system provides a new idea for the diagnosis of flatfoot and other medical diseases.Hence, this work proposes new FTSs that use a BTO/PAN/Ecoflex composite film with high sensitivity and great output performance, thus exhibiting immense potential application prospects in medical research, personalized recognition and human-machine interaction. | MU JiLiang XIAN Shuai YU JunBin LI ZhengYang ZHAO JuanHong ZHONG JiXin HAN XiaoTao HOU XiaoJuan HE Jian CHOU XiuJian | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4: | 3

Monolithic homogeneous integrated miniaturized triboelectric nanogenerator with an inner air cavity for energy harvesting显示文摘To realize the high-efficiency acquisition of environmental mechanical energy, traditional triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)based on contact-separation consist of two separate triboelectric layers.Their large contact-separation gap increases the overall volume of the device, making it difficult to realize miniaturization and flexibility. This work, therefore, presents a fully enclosed all-in-one-shaped flexible TENG(FEAST)with an air cavity using rubber mixing and high-temperature vulcanization. The air pressure inside the enclosed air cavity facilitates effective contact-separation of the FEAST.The homogeneous integration between the triboelectric layer and the electrode layer enhances structural firmness without using extra spacer materials. The developed FEAST presents excellent mechanical durability even after 10000 cycles.By increasing the active contact area between the triboelectric materials,a maximum peak-peak output voltage, current, and power density of 130 V,1.1μA,and277 m W/m^(2),respectively,were obtained with an effective stress area of 1 cm2.Moreover,the fully enclosed structure ensures that the output performance is not affected by the external environment. The FEAST was fixed onto the sole of a shoe to demonstrate its applicability in harvesting mechanical energy from human motions.Overall, the developed method provides a simple approach for optimizing the structure of TENGs and is compatible with large-scale manufacturing. | HOU XiaoJuan ZHANG ShengNan YU JunBin YANG ChangJun ZHANG Ning HE Jian CHOU XiuJian | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,3: | 3
An Improved Polar Codes-Based Key Reconciliation for Practical Quantum Key Distribution显示文摘Key reconciliation is important for practical Quantum key distribution(QKD) systems since it corrects the error bits in a key string by sacrificing some key bits. Therefore, its performance directly affects the secret key rate of a practical QKD system. Although key reconciliation scheme based on polar codes can achieve a high coding efficiency, the high frame error rate causes discarding key strings and decreases the secret key rate. In this paper, we fist analyze the limitation of successive cancellation decoding of polar codes, and then we propose an improved key reconciliation scheme using polar codes with successive cancellation list decoding and optimized coding structures, which can decrease the frame error probability, resulting in a higher secret key rate. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can achieve a 12.8% higher secret key rate than the previous polar codes-based scheme with a code length of 216 bits and a quantum bit error rate of 2%. Besides, the proposed scheme is robust and it can extract secret key bits even when the quantum bit error rate reaches 10.2% with a code length of 2^(20) bits and a coding efficiency of 90.6%. | YAN Shiling WANG Jindong FANG Junbin JIANG Lin WANG Xuan | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2018,27,2: | 2
A static-dynamic energy harvester for a self-powered ocean environment monitoring application显示文摘Ocean intelligent buoy is important for ocean environment monitoring. With the increase of requisite sensors and transportable data,a long power supply has become a problem to be solved urgently. In this work,a hybrid nanogenerator integrating triboelectric, piezoelectric, electromagnetic, photovoltaic, and thermotropic units is proposed to maximize ocean ambient energy harvesting, which includes static energy(solar and thermal energy)and dynamic energy(wave energy).Compared with a device with a single energy conversion mechanism, this structural design breaks the limit of harvesting time and natural conditions during the energy harvesting process, thereby increasing the harvested energy.Static energy harvesting is realized by the thermoelectric(TG)and photovoltaic(PV)units located inside the device and the PV unit attached to the device surface. Results show that the maximum open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 5 V and 41 mA in the external PV and 1.33 V and 49 mA in the internal PV under 30000 Lux illumination, respectively. The open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the TG unit are 5 V and 15 m A,respectively. The core component of the dynamic generation unit is the gimbal used to harvest wave energy by the triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG),piezoelectric generator(PENG),and electromagnetic generator. When the frequency is 2.4 Hz,the maximum peak-to-peak power of the TENG,PENG,and EMG are 0.25,1.58,and 13.8 mW,respectively. Finally,an intelligent ocean buoy is fabricated by the integration of an energy harvester,a power management circuit, sensors,a microcontroller, and a wireless communication module.Driven by static and dynamic energy, temperature signal, humidity signal,GPS signal, and sound signal are sent to the receiving terminal wirelessly. The ocean energy harvester proposed in this work is of great significance for ocean energy harvesting and ocean wireless monitoring systems. | XUE Feng CHEN Liang LI ChunCheng REN Jing YU JunBin HOU XiaoJuan GENG WenPing MU JiLiang HE Jian CHOU XiuJian | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4: | 2
Influence of synthesis temperatures on the crystalline grain growth and morphology of lanthanum magnesium hexaaluminate显示文摘Lanthanum magnesium hexaaluminate(LaMgAl_(11)O_(19), LMA) was prepared at different temperatures by solid-state reaction. Phase compositions and crystal morphologies of specimens synthesized at different temperatures were investigated using X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM). It was observed that the crystalline grain size of LMA was not only dependent on the preparation temperature but also on its powder morphology. In the temperature range of 1300 e1550℃, LMA showed platelet grain and the average crystalline grain size increases with the increase in temperature. At1600℃, if the powder was sintered for two times, the equiaxed grain could be found with the decrease in grain space, resulting in the reduction of the crystalline grain size. Styles of specimens(powder or disk) might have no obvious influence on morphologies and sizes of LMA crystalline grains which were synthesized with the well-dispersed raw material mixtures. The synthesis temperature played a key role in influencing the free space for the formation and growth of crystalline grains. | Junbin Sun Jinshuang Wang Wenzhi Huang Yu Hui Xin Zhou Lifen Li Jianing Jiang Longhui Deng Yunya Niu Shujuan Dong Xueqiang Cao | 2017 | Journal of Rare Earths2017,35,12: | 2

Histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2 by bridging the spike protein subunit 2 and sialic acid on host cells显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)can capture and kill viruses, such as influenza viruses, human immunodeficiency virus(HIV),and respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),thus contributing to host defense.Contrary to our expectation,we show here that the histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2,as found by using live SARS-CoV-2 and two pseudovirus systems as well as a mouse model. The histone H3 or H4 selectively binds to subunit 2 of the spike(S)protein,as shown by a biochemical binding assay, surface plasmon resonance and binding energy calculation as well as the construction of a mutant S protein by replacing four acidic amino acids.Sialic acid on the host cell surface is the key molecule to which histones bridge subunit 2 of the S protein. Moreover, histones enhance cell-cell fusion. Finally, treatment with an inhibitor of NETosis, histone H3 or H4,or sialic acid notably affected the levels of sgRNA copies and the number of apoptotic cells in a mouse model. These findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 could hijack histones from neutrophil NETosis to promote its host cell attachment and entry process and may be important in exploring pathogenesis and possible strategies to develop new effective therapies for COVID-19. | Weiqi Hong Jingyun Yang Jun Zou Zhenfei Bi Cai He Hong Lei Xuemei He Xue Li Aqu Alu Wenyan Ren Zeng Wang Xiaohua Jiang Kunhong Zhong Guowen Jia Yun Yang Wenhai Yu Qing Huang Mengli Yang Yanan Zhou Yuan Zhao Dexuan Kuang Junbin Wang Haixuan Wang Siyuan Chen Min Luo Ziqi Zhang Tiangi Lu Li Chen Haiying Que Zhiyao He Qiu Sun Wei Wang Guobo Shen Guangwen Lu Zhiwei Zhao Li Yang Jinliang Yang Zhenling Wang Jiong Li Xiangrong Song Lunzhi Dai Chong Chen Jia Geng Maling Gou Lu Chen Haohao Dong Yong Peng Canhua Huang Zhiyong Qian Wei Cheng Changfa Fan Yuquan Wei Zhaoming Su Aiping Tong Shuaiyao Lu Xiaozhong Peng Xiawei Wei | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,5: | 2
