Distributed Adaptive Cooperative Tracking of Uncertain Nonlinear Fractional-order Multi-agent Systems显示文摘In this paper, the leader-following tracking problem of fractional-order multi-agent systems is addressed. The dynamics of each agent may be heterogeneous and has unknown nonlinearities. By assumptions that the interaction topology is undirected and connected and the unknown nonlinear uncertain dynamics can be parameterized by a neural network, an adaptive learning law is proposed to deal with unknown nonlinear dynamics, based on which a kind of cooperative tracking protocols are constructed. The feedback gain matrix is obtained to solve an algebraic Riccati equation. To construct the fully distributed cooperative tracking protocols, the adaptive law is also adopted to adjust the coupling weight. With the developed control laws,we can prove that all signals in the closed-loop systems are guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded. Finally, a simple simulation example is provided to illustrate the established result. | Zhitao Li Lixin Gao Wenhai Chen Yu Xu | 2020 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2020,7,1: | 9
Advances in lung cancer screening and early detection显示文摘Lung cancer is associated with a heavy cancer-related burden in terms of patients’physical and mental health worldwide. Two randomized controlled trials, the US-National Lung Screening Trial(NLST)and Nederlands-Leuvens Longkanker Screenings Onderzoek(NELSON),indicated that low-dose CT(LDCT)screening results in a statistically significant decrease in mortality in patients with lung cancer,LDCT has become the standard approach for lung cancer screening. However, many issues in lung cancer screening remain unresolved, such as the screening criteria, high false-positive rate, and radiation exposure. This review first summarizes recent studies on lung cancer screening from the US,Europe, and Asia, and discusses risk-based selection for screening and the related issues.Second,an overview of novel techniques for the differential diagnosis of pulmonary nodules, including artificial intelligence and molecular biomarker-based screening,is presented.Third, current explorations of strategies for suspected malignancy are summarized.Overall, this review aims to help clinicians understand recent progress in lung cancer screening and alleviate the burden of lung cancer. | Caichen Li Huiting Wang Yu Jiang Wenhai Fu Xiwen Liu Ran Zhong Bo Cheng Feng Zhu Yang Xiang Jianxing He Wenhua Liang | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,5: | 6
Comparison of nonhuman primates identified the suitable model for COVID-19显示文摘Identification of a suitable nonhuman primate(NHP)model of COVID-19 remains challenging. Here,we characterized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection in three NHP species:Old World monkeys Macaca mulatta(M.mulatta)and Macaca fascicularis(M.fascicularis)and New World monkey Callithrix jacchus(C.jacchus).Infected M.mulatta and M.fascicularis showed abnormal chest radiographs,an increased body temperature and a decreased body weight.Viral genomes were detected in swab and blood samples from all animals.Viral load was detected in the pulmonary tissues of M.mulatta and M.fascicularis but not C.jacchus.Furthermore,among the three animal species,M.mulatta showed the strongest response to SARS-CoV-2,including increased inflammatory cytokine expression and pathological changes in the pulmonary tissues.Collectively, these data revealed the different susceptibilities of Old World and New World monkeys to SARS-CoV-2 and identified M.mulatta as the most suitable for modeling COVID-19. | Shuaiyao Lu Yuan Zhao Wenhai Yu Yun Yang Jiahong Gao Junbin Wang Dexuan Kuang Mengli Yang Jing Yang Chunxia Ma Jingwen Xu Xingli Qian Haiyan Li Siwen Zhao Jingmei Li Haixuan Wang Haiting Long Jingxian Zhou Fangyu Luo Kaiyun Ding Daoju Wu Yong Zhang Yinliang Dong Yuqin Liu Yinqiu Zheng Xiaochen Lin Li Jiao Huanying Zheng Qing Dai Qiangming Sun Yunzhang Hu Changwen Ke Hongqi Liu Xiaozhong Peng | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 5
Quantum cloning with multicopy in d-dimensions显示文摘The explicit transformations of the 1→ 3 optimal universal quantum cloning and the optimal phase-covariant quantum cloning in d-dimensions are presented, and the dimensionalities of their ancillary systems are both d-dimensions. As d→∞ , their clone fidelities move toward 1/3, showing a classical limit for the fidelity of quantum cloning. Based on the reduction of the unitary transformation of quantum cloning, the transformation of the 1→M=d+1 optimal economical phase-covariant quantum cloning in d-dimensions is derived, and the clone fidelity is covered by the theoretical value. | ZHANG WenHai YU LongBao YANG Ming CAO ZhuoLiang | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,12: | 3
Immunogenicity and protective efficacy of a recombinant protein subunit vaccine and an inactivated vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 variants in non-human primates显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants and the gradually decreasing neutralizing antibodies over time post vaccination have led to an increase in incidents of breakthrough infection across the world. To investigate the potential protective effect of the recombinant protein subunit COVID-19 vaccine targeting receptor-binding domain(RBD)(PS-RBD)and whole inactivated virus particle vaccine(IV)against the variant strains,in this study, rhesus macaques were immunized with PS-RBD or IV vaccine, followed by a Beta variant(B.1.351)challenge.Although neutralizing activity against the Beta variant was reduced compared with that against the prototype, the decreased viral load in both upper and lower respiratory tracts, milder pathological changes, and downregulated inflammatory cytokine levels in lung tissues after challenge demonstrated that PS-RBD and IV still provided effective protection against the Beta variant in the macaque model.Furthermore,PS-RBD-induced macaque sera possessed general binding and neutralizing activity to Alpha,Beta,Delta, and Omicron variants in our study, though the neutralizing antibody(NAb)titers declined by varying degrees, demonstrating potential protection of PS-RBD against current circulating variants of concern(VOCs).Interestingly, although the IV vaccine-induced extremely low neutralizing antibody titers against the Beta variant,it still showed reduction for viral load and significantly alleviated pathological change.Other correlates of vaccine-induced protection(CoP)like antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC)and immune memory were both confirmed to be existing in IV vaccinated group and possibly be involved in the protective mechanism. | Qian He Qunying Mao Xiaozhong Peng Zhanlong He Shuaiyao Lu Jialu Zhang Fan Gao Lianlian Bian Chaoqiang An Wenhai Yu Fengmei Yang Yanan Zhou Yun Yang Yanyan Li Yadi Yuan Xujia Yan Jinghuan Yang Xing Wu Weijin Huang Changgui Li Junzhi Wang Zhenglun Liang Miao Xu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4: | 2
Histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2 by bridging the spike protein subunit 2 and sialic acid on host cells显示文摘Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)can capture and kill viruses, such as influenza viruses, human immunodeficiency virus(HIV),and respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),thus contributing to host defense.Contrary to our expectation,we show here that the histones released by NETosis enhance the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2,as found by using live SARS-CoV-2 and two pseudovirus systems as well as a mouse model. The histone H3 or H4 selectively binds to subunit 2 of the spike(S)protein,as shown by a biochemical binding assay, surface plasmon resonance and binding energy calculation as well as the construction of a mutant S protein by replacing four acidic amino acids.Sialic acid on the host cell surface is the key molecule to which histones bridge subunit 2 of the S protein. Moreover, histones enhance cell-cell fusion. Finally, treatment with an inhibitor of NETosis, histone H3 or H4,or sialic acid notably affected the levels of sgRNA copies and the number of apoptotic cells in a mouse model. These findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 could hijack histones from neutrophil NETosis to promote its host cell attachment and entry process and may be important in exploring pathogenesis and possible strategies to develop new effective therapies for COVID-19. | Weiqi Hong Jingyun Yang Jun Zou Zhenfei Bi Cai He Hong Lei Xuemei He Xue Li Aqu Alu Wenyan Ren Zeng Wang Xiaohua Jiang Kunhong Zhong Guowen Jia Yun Yang Wenhai Yu Qing Huang Mengli Yang Yanan Zhou Yuan Zhao Dexuan Kuang Junbin Wang Haixuan Wang Siyuan Chen Min Luo Ziqi Zhang Tiangi Lu Li Chen Haiying Que Zhiyao He Qiu Sun Wei Wang Guobo Shen Guangwen Lu Zhiwei Zhao Li Yang Jinliang Yang Zhenling Wang Jiong Li Xiangrong Song Lunzhi Dai Chong Chen Jia Geng Maling Gou Lu Chen Haohao Dong Yong Peng Canhua Huang Zhiyong Qian Wei Cheng Changfa Fan Yuquan Wei Zhaoming Su Aiping Tong Shuaiyao Lu Xiaozhong Peng Xiawei Wei | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,5: | 2
Optical scheme for realization of optimal unambiguous state discrimination of the JS limit显示文摘We exploit optimal probabilistic cloning to rederive the JS limit.Dependent on the formulation given by the optimal probabilistic cloning, the explicit transformation of a measure of the JS limit is presented.Based on linear optical devices,we propose an experimentally feasible scheme to implement the JS limit measure of a general pair of two nonorthogonal quantum states. The success probability of the proposed scheme is unity. | ZHANG WenHai YU LongBao CAO ZhuoLiang YE Liu | 2013 | Science China Chemistry2013,56,3: | 1

Multicopy quantum state discrimination显示文摘In this paper, we study the problem of multicopy quantum two-state discrimination. By exploring the quantum hypothesis testing, i.e., the probabilistic quantum cloning, we derive the upper bounds of the minimal error discrimination (MED) and the optimal unambiguous discrimination (OUD), which coincides with the Helstrom theorem and the JS limit. Furthermore, when prior probabilities are unknown, we derive the minimax MED and the minimax OUD. Based on the optimal N→M probabilistic quantum cloning, we present the optimal strategies of collective measurements of the MED and the OUD. When the number of the copies is infinite, regardless of whether prior probabilities are known or not, the success probabilities of the MED and the OUD go to 100%, in accordance with the quantum measurement hypothesis that unknown quantum state can be determined if and only if infinite identical quantum state copies are given. | ZHANG WenHai YU LongBao YANG Ming ZhuoLiang | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,1: | 1
Site dependence of far-source ground motions during the Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘This paper aimed to examine the site dependence and evaluate the methods for site analysis of farsource ground motions. This was achieved through the examination of frequency content estimated by different methods based on strong ground motions recorded at twelve far-source stations in Shandong province during the Wenchuan earthquake. The stations were located in sites with soil profiles ranging from code classes Ⅰ to Ⅲ.Approaches used included the Fourier amplitude spectrum(FAS),the earthquake response spectrum(ERS),the spectral ratio between the horizontal and the vertical components(H/V),the spectral ratio between the spectra at the site and at a reference site(SRRS),and coda wave analysis(CWA).Results showed that major periods of these ground motions obtained by FAS,ERS and H/V ratio methods were all evidently larger than site dominant periods;the periods were also different from each other and mainly reflected the frequency content of long period components.Prominent periods obtained by the SRRS approach neither illuminated the long period aspect nor efficiently determined site features of the motions. The CWA resulted in a period close to site period for stations with good quality recordings. The results obtained in this study will be useful for the evaluation of farsource effect in constructing seismic design spectra and in selecting methods for ground motion site analysis. | Longjun Xu Haiying Yu Wenhai Cao Lili Xie | 2009 | Earthquake Science2009,22,5: | 1
Asian, regional, and national burdens of respiratory tract cancers and associated risk factors from 1990 to 2019:A systematic analysis for the global burden of disease study 2019显示文摘Background:Respiratory cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, but its statistics vary between the East and West. This study aimed to estimate the burdens of tracheal, bronchus, and lung(TBL)cancer and larynx cancer and their attributable risks from 1990 to 2019 in Asia, and at regional and national levels. Methods:This research evaluated the incidence, mortality, years lived with disability, years of life lost, and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for respiratory tract cancers using the Global Burden of Diseases,Injuries, and Risk Factors Study(GBD)2019 database.Age-standardized rates were calculated for TBL cancer from 1990 to 2019,adjusted for smoking and socio-demographic index(SDI).Deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer attributable to each risk factor were estimated for 33 Asian countries. Results:The age-standardized incidence and death rates for TBL cancer in Asia declined from 2010 to 2019,while the incidence rate of larynx cancer increased.Smoking was the leading specific risk factor for deaths from both TBL and larynx cancers. The burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries was influenced by SDI and smoking, particularly among males in Central Asia.Deaths,DALYs,and incidences of larynx cancer in East Asia had not changed significantly over the past 30 years, but showed slight downward trends in males and both sexes combined, and an upward trend in females in recent years. Conclusions:The past decade saw increases in numbers of incident cases and deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer in Asia.SDI and smoking were the main factors influencing the disease burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries. This study highlights the need for tailored cancer control programs to address the burden of respiratory tract cancers in different Asian countries. | Ran Zhong Xiuyu Cai Jianfu Li Peiling Chen Runchen Wang Xinting Li Feng Li Shan Xiong Caichen Li Huiting Wang Yang Xiang Shuting Zhan Ziwen Yu Haixuan Wang Chunyan Li Lixuan Lin Wenhai Fu Xin Zheng Shen Zhao Kang Zhang Jianxing He | 2023 | Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2023,1,4: | 1

NPRC deletion mitigated atherosclerosis by inhibiting oxidative stress, inflammation and apoptosis in ApoE knockout mice显示文摘Previous studies suggested a beneficial effect of natriuretic peptides in animal models of cardiovascular disease, but the role of natriuretic peptide receptor C(NPRC)in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis(AS)remains unknown. This study was designed to test the hypothesis that NPRC may promote AS lesion formation and instability by enhancing oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis via protein kinase A(PKA)signaling.ApoE^(−/−)mice were fed chow or Western diet for 12 weeks and NPRC expression was significantly increased in the aortic tissues of Western diet-fed mice.Systemic NPRC knockout mice were crossed with ApoE^(−/−)mice to generate ApoE^(−/−)NPRC^(−/−)mice,and NPRC deletion resulted in a significant decrease in the size and instability of aortic atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE^(−/−)NPRC^(−/−)versus ApoE^(−/−)mice.In addition, endothelial cell-specific NPRC knockout attenuated atherosclerotic lesions in mice.In contrast, endothelial cell overexpression of NPRC aggravated the size and instability of atherosclerotic aortic lesions in mice.Experiments in vitro showed that NPRC knockdown in human aortic endothelial cells(HAECs)inhibited ROS production,pro-inflammatory cytokine expression and endothelial cell apoptosis, and increased eNOS expression.Furthermore,NPRC knockdown in HAECs suppressed macrophage migration, cytokine expression, and phagocytosis via its effects on endothelial cells. On the contrary,NPRC overexpression in endothelial cells resulted in opposite effects.Mechanistically, the anti-inflammation and anti-atherosclerosis effects of NPRC deletion involved activation of cAMP/PKA pathway, leading to downstream upregulated AKT1 pathway and downregulated NF-κB pathway. In conclusion,NPRC deletion reduced the size and instability of atherosclerotic lesions in ApoE^(−/−)mice via attenuating inflammation and endothelial cell apoptosis and increasing eNOS expression by modulating cAMP/PKA-AKT1 and NF-κB pathways. Thus, targeting NPRC may provide a promising approach to the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. | Cheng Cheng Jie Zhang Xiaodong Li Fei Xue Lei Cao Linlin Meng Wenhai Sui Meng Zhang Yuxia Zhao Bo Xi Xiao Yu Feng Xu Jianmin Yang Yun Zhang Cheng Zhang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9: | 0
Data Security Storage Mechanism Based on Blockchain Network显示文摘With the rapid development of information technology, the development of blockchain technology has also been deeply impacted. When performing block verification in the blockchain network,if all transactions are verified on the chain, this will cause the accumulation of data on the chain, resulting in data storage problems. At the same time, the security of data is also challenged, which will put enormous pressure on the block, resulting in extremely low communication efficiency of the block. The traditional blockchain system uses theMerkle Tree method to store data. While verifying the integrity and correctness of the data, the amount of proof is large, and it is impossible to verify the data in batches.A large amount of data proof will greatly impact the verification efficiency, which will cause end-to-end communication delays and seriously affect the blockchain system’s stability, efficiency, and security. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes to replace the Merkle tree with polynomial commitments, which take advantage of the properties of polynomials to reduce the proof size and communication consumption.By realizing the ingenious use of aggregated proof and smart contracts, the verification efficiency of blocks is improved, and the pressure of node communication is reduced. | Jin Wang WeiOu Wenhai Wang RSimon Sherratt Yongjun Ren Xiaofeng Yu | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3: | 0
Splicing factor SF3B3,a NS5-binding protein, restricts ZIKV infection by targeting GCH1显示文摘Zika virus(ZIKV),a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus, causes congenital ZIKV syndrome in children and Guillain-Barre Syndrome(GBS)in adults.ZIKV expresses nonstructural protein 5(NS5),a large protein that is essential for viral replication.ZIKV NS5 confers the ability to evade interferon(IFN)signalling;however, the exact mechanism remains unclear. In this study,we employed affinity pull-down and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)analyses and found that splicing factor 3b subunit 3(SF3B3)is associated with the NS5-Flag pull-down complex through interaction with NS5.Functional assays showed that SF3B3 overexpression inhibited ZIKV replication by promoting IFN-stimulated gene(ISG)expression whereas silencing of SF3B3 inhibited expression of ISGs to promote ZIKV replication.GTP cyclohydrolase I(GCH1)is the first and ratelimiting enzyme in tetrahydrobiopterin(BH4)biosynthesis.NS5 upregulates the expression of GCH1 during ZIKV infection. And GCH1 marginally promoted ZIKV replication via the IFN pathway.Additionally,GCH1 expression is related to the regulation of SF3B3.Overexpression of the SF3B3 protein effectively reduced GCH1 protein levels, whereas SF3B3 knockdown increased its levels. These findings indicated that ZIKV NS5 binding protein SF3B3 contributed to the host immune response against ZIKV replication by modulating the expression of GCH1. | Tanxiu Chen Hao Yang Penghui Liu Moliduer Hamiti Xintian Zhang Yi Xu Wenqi Quan Yong Zhang Wenhai Yu Li Jiao Tingfu Du Juemin Xi Bin Yin Wei Zhou Shuaiyao Lu Xiaozhong Peng | 2023 | Virologica Sinica2023,38,2: | 0

The olfactory route is a potential way for SARS-CoV-2 to invade the central nervous system of rhesus monkeys显示文摘Neurological manifestations are frequently reported in the COVID-19 patients.Neuromechanism of SARS-CoV-2 remains to be elucidated. In this study,we explored the mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 neurotropism via our established non-human primate model of COVID-19.In rhesus monkey,SARS-CoV-2 invades the CNS primarily via the olfactory bulb.Thereafter, viruses rapidly spread to functional areas of the central nervous system, such as hippocampus, thalamus, and medulla oblongata. The infection of SARS-CoV-2 induces the inflammation possibly by targeting neurons, microglia, and astrocytes in the CNS.Consistently,SARS-CoV-2 infects neuro-derived SK-N-SH,glial-derived U251,and brain microvascular endothelial cells in vitro. To our knowledge, this is the first experimental evidence of SARS-CoV-2 neuroinvasion in the NHP model, which provides important insights into the CNS-related pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2. | Li Jiao Yun Yang Wenhai Yu Yuan Zhao Haiting Long Jiahong Gao Kaiyun Ding Chunxia Ma Jingmei Li Siwen Zhao Haixuan Wang Haiyan Li Mengli Yang Jingwen Xu Junbin Wang Jing Yang Dexuan Kuang Fangyu Luo Xingli Qian Longjiang Xu Bin Yin Wei Liu Hongqi Liu Shuaiyao Lu Xiaozhong Peng | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,5: | 0
