4Effect of Ningmitai capsule plus sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation and enlarged seminal vesicles:A randomized clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation(PE) and an increased anterior-posterior diameter(APD) of the seminal vesicles(SVs).METHODS: Sixty men with acquired PE were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. The combined group was treated with Ningmitai capsule and sertraline, while the control group was treated with sertraline alone. Main outcomes were measured using the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT), APD of SVs, and Clinical Global Impression of Change questionnaire and compared before and after 3 months of treatment.RESULTS: Comparing after treatment with before treatment outcomes within each group, the PEDT score was significantly reduced in the combined group(12.1 ± 2.5 vs 8.6 ± 3.2, P < 0.001, respectively) and control group(12.9 ± 2.6 vs 10.3 ± 1.6, P <0.001, respectively). Furthermore, the PEDT score after treatment was significantly lower in the combined compared with control group(8.6 ± 3.2 vs10.3 ± 1.6, P = 0.011, respectively). The APD of SVs in the combined group was significantly decreased after treatment [(10.8 ± 2.4) vs(12.9 ± 2.2) mm, P =0.001], while the APD of SVs in the control group was equivalent before and after treatment. The treatment response rate was not significantly higher in the combined compared with control group.CONCLUSION: These results indicated that the effect of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline was better than that of sertraline alone for the treatment of PE patients exhibiting an increased APD of SVs. 5Corrosion Mechanism of 5083 Aluminum Alloy in Seawater Containing Phosphate显示文摘As a material with good corrosion resistance,5083 aluminum alloy has a great application prospect in marine environment.In this work,the corrosion characteristics of 5083 aluminum alloy in seawater containing phosphate were investigated with Potentiodynamic Polarization,Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS),Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM),Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy Analysis (EDSA),X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Laser Confocal Microscope.The results indicated that the effects of phosphate in seawater were two-fold.Firstly,phosphate slightly accelerated the corrosion of 5083 in seawater in the early stage of corrosion.HPO_4~(2-)competed with OH~-in the adsorption process on the alloy surface,which weakened the contact between OH~-and Al~(3+)near the interface of the alloy,and inhibited the formation as well as the self-repair of the passive film,thus accelerating the activation dissolution process.Compared with the natural seawater,the charge transfer resistance of 5083 in the seawater containing phosphate decreased faster during the early stage of corrosion,and the corrosion current density i_(corr) was higher in seawater containing phosphate.On the other hand,the addition of phosphate would not affect the cluster distribution of the second phase of 5083 in seawater,but it changed the composition of the corrosion product layer and had an obvious inhibitory effect on the local corrosion of 5083 in seawater.After 16-day exposure,shallower and more sparsely distributed pits could be observed on the derusted surface of 5083 in the seawater containing phosphate,and the pitting coefficient in the seawater containing phosphate was significantly lower than that in natural seawater.The reduction of pitting tendency could be realized mainly through two ways.First,the HPO_4~(2-)adsorbed on the surface of the passive film in the early stage of corrosion and repeled the corrosive anions such as Cl~-.Second,phosphate participated in the construction of the Ca HPO_4 precipitation film,which acted as a barrier and protection.WANG Jiaming YANG Haodong DU Min HOU Jian PENG Wenshan LIN Cunguo 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,2:3
6Flexible ITO-free organic solar cells over 10% by employing drop-coated conductive PEDOT:PSS transparent anodes显示文摘Highly conductive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene-sulfonic acid)(PEDOT:PSS) has been explored to fabricate flexible and stretchable conductors. Generally, PEDOT:PSS transparent anodes are prepared by spin-coating method. In this article, we adopt a method by dropping PEDOT:PSS aqueous solution on the PET plastic substrate to fabricate flexible electrodes. Compared with spin coating, drop-coating is simple and cost-effective with large-area fabrications. Through this method, we fabricated highly transparent conductive electrodes and systematically studied their electrical, optical, morphological and mechanical properties. With dimethyl sulfoxide/methanesulfonic acid(DMSO/MSA) treated PEDOT:PSS electrode,bendable devices based on non-fullerene system displayed an open-circuit voltage of 0.925 V, a fill factor of 70.74%, and a high power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 10.23% under 100 mW cm^(-2) illumination, which retained over 80% of the initial PCE value after 1000 bending cycles. 8Flexible temperature sensor with high sensitivity ranging from liquid nitrogen temperature to 1200℃显示文摘Flexible temperature sensors have been extensively investigated due to their prospect of wide application in various flexible electronic products.However,most of the current flexible temperature sensors only work well in a narrow temperature range,with their application at high or low temperatures still being a big challenge.This work proposes a flexible thermocouple temperature sensor based on aerogel blanket substrate,the temperature-sensitive layer of which uses the screen-printing technology to prepare indium oxide and indium tin oxide.It has good temperature sensitivity,with the test sensitivity reaching 226.7μV℃^(−1).Most importantly,it can work in a wide temperature range,from extremely low temperatures down to liquid nitrogen temperature to high temperatures up to 1200℃,which is difficult to be achieved by other existing flexible temperature sensors.This temperature sensor has huge application potential in biomedicine,aerospace and other fields.Zhaojun Liu Bian Tian Zhuangde Jiang Shuimin Li Jiaming Lei Zhongkai Zhang Jiangjiang Liu Peng Shi Qijing Lin 2023International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2023,5,1:1

10Antioxidant biocompatible composite collagen dressing for diabetic wound healing in rat model显示文摘Associated with persistent oxidative stress,altered inflammatory responses,poor angiogenesis and epithelization,wound healing in diabetic patients is impaired.N-acetylcysteine(NAC)is reported to resist excess reactive oxygen species(ROS)production,prompt angiogenesis and maturation of the epidermis.Studies have revealed that graphene oxide(GO)can regulate cellular behavior and form cross-links with naturally biodegradable polymers such as collagen(COL)to construct composite scaffolds.Here,we reported a COL-based implantable scaffold containing a mixture of GO capable of the sustained delivery of NAC to evaluate the wound healing in diabetic rats.The morphological,physical characteristics,biocompatibility and NAC release profile of the GO-COL-NAC(GCN)scaffold were evaluated in vitro.Wound healing studies were performed on a 20mm dorsal full-skin defect of streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic rats.The injured skin tissue was removed at the 18th day post-surgery for histological analysis and determination of glutathione peroxidase(GPx),catalase(CAT)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity.In diabetic rats,we confirmed that the GCN scaffold presented a beneficial effect in enhancing the wound healing process.Additionally,due to the sustained release of NAC,the scaffold may potentially induce the antioxidant defense system,upregulating the expression levels of the antioxidant enzymes in the wound tissue.The findings revealed that the antioxidant biocompatible composite collagen dressing could not only deliver NAC in situ for ROS inhibition but also promote the wound healing process.This scaffold with valuable therapy potential might enrich the approaches for surgeon in diabetic wound treatment in the future.Bei Qian Jialun Li Ke Guo Nengqiang Guo Aimei Zhong Jie Yang Jiecong Wang Peng Xiao Jiaming Sun Lingyun Xiong 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,2:1

12Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) promotes hepatic glycogen accumulation and reduces glucose level in hepatocytes through mTORC2 signaling pathway显示文摘Liver is an important organ for regulating glucose and lipid metabolism.Recent studies have shown that bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)may play important roles in regu-lating glucose and lipid metabolism.Inour previous studies,we demonstrated that BMP4 signif-icantly inhibits hepatic steatosis and lowers serum triglycerides,playing a protective role against the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,the direct impact of BMP4 on hepatic glucose metabolism is poorly understood.Here,we investigated the regulatory roles of BMP4 in hepatic glucose metabolism.Through a comprehensive analysis of the 14 types of BMPs,we found that BMP4 was one of the most potent BMPs in promoting hepatic glycogen accumulation,reducing the level of glucose in hepatocytes and effecting the expression of genes related to glucose metabolism.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that BMP4 reduced the hepatic glucose lewels through the activation of mTORC2 signaling pathway in vitro and in wivo.Collectively,our findings strongly suggest that BMP4 may play an essential role in regulating hepatic glucose metabolism.This knowledge should aid us to understand the molecular pathogenesis of NAFLD,and may lead to the development of novel therapeutics by exploiting the inhibitory effects of BMPs on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism.Liqin An Qiong Shi Ying Zhu Hao Wang Qi Peng Jinghong Wu Yu Cheng Wei Zhang Yanyu Yi Zihao Bao Hui Zhang Yetao Luo Jiaming Fan 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,4:1

14Deep learning quantified mucus-tumor ratio predicting survival of patients with colorectal cancer using whole-slide images显示文摘Background:In colorectal cancer(CRC),mucinous adenocarcinoma differs from other adenocarcinomas in gene-phenotype,morphology,and prognosis.However,mucinous components are present in a large number of adenocarcinomas,and the prognostic value of mucus proportion has not been investigated.Artificial intelligence provides a way to quantify mucus proportion on whole-slide images(WSIs)accurately.We aimed to quantify mucus proportion by deep learning and further investigate its prognostic value in two CRC patient cohorts.Methods:Deep learning was used to segment WSIs stained with hematoxylin and eosin.Mucus-tumor ratio(MTR)was defined as the proportion of mucinous component in the tumor area.A training cohort(N=419)and a validation cohort(N=315)were used to evaluate the prognostic value of MTR.Survival analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazard model.Result:Patients were stratified tomucus-low andmucus-high groups,with 24.1%as the threshold.In the training cohort,patients with mucus-high had unfavorable outcomes(hazard ratio for high vs.low 1.88,95%confidence interval 1.18–2.99,P=0.008),with 5-year overall survival rates of 54.8%and 73.7%in mucus-high and mucus-lowgroups,respectively.The resultswere confirmed in the validation cohort(2.09,1.21–3.60,0.008;62.8%vs.79.8%).The prognostic value of MTR was maintained in multivariate analysis for both cohorts.Conclusion:The deep learning quantified MTR was an independent prognostic factor in CRC.With the advantages of advanced efficiency and high consistency,our method is suitable for clinical application and promotes precision medicine development.Ke Zhao Lin Wu Yanqi Huang Su Yao Zeyan Xu Huan Lin Huihui Wang Yanting Liang Yao Xu Xin Chen Minning Zhao Jiaming Peng Yuli Huang Changhong Liang Zhenhui Li Yong Li Zaiyi Liu 2021Precision Clinical Medicine2021,4,1:0
15Microstructure and Property Analysis of AerMet100 Steel Manufactured by In-situ Rolling Mixed Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing显示文摘Aer Met100 steel thick wall is fabricated by in-situ rolling composite wire arc additive manufacturing(WAAM).The microstructure and mechanical properties of Aer Met100 steel after heat treatment are studied.The results show that after the introduction of in-situ rolling force,the grain of Aer Met100 steel is broken,the anisotropy is eliminated,and the microstructure is refined obviously.The microstructure of Aer Met100 steel after heat treatment is mainly lath martensite and reverse austenite.There are 40 nm-68.6 nm alloy carbides precipitated in the martensitic matrix,and the hardening mechanism is mainly Orowan bypass strengthening.The film-like reverse austenite with the thickness ranging from 2 nm to 5 nm exists between the martensitic lath,which improves the toughness of the maraging steel.Good combination of strength and toughness can be achieved through proper heat treatment process.NI Jiaming LEI Lei LI Baohui LIU Siyu CHENG Peng ZHANG Haiou 2022上海航天(中英文)2022,39,1:0
16Recombinant chimpanzee adenovirus vector vaccine expressing the spike protein provides effective and lasting protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection in mice显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 infection is a global public health threat.Vaccines are considered amongst the most important tools to control the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.As expected,deaths from SARS-CoV-2 infection have dropped dramatically with widespread vaccination.However,there are concerns over the duration of vaccine-induced protection,as well as their effectiveness against emerging variants of concern.Here,we constructed a recombinant chimpanzee adenovirus vectored vaccine expressing the full-length spike of SARS-CoV-2(Ad C68-S).Rapid and high levels of humoral and cellular immune responses were observed after immunization of C57BL/6J mice with one or two doses of Ad C68-S.Notably,neutralizing antibodies were observed up to at least six months after vaccination,without substantial decline.Single or double doses Ad C68-S immunization resulted in lower viral loads in lungs of mice against SARS-CoV-2 challenge both in the short term(21 days)and long-term(6 months).Histopathological examination of Ad C68-S immunized mice lungs showed mild histological abnormalities after SARS-CoV-2 infection.Taken together,this study demonstrates the efficacy and durability of the Ad C68-S vaccine and constitutes a promising candidate for clinical evaluation.Mingqing Lu Kunpeng Liu Yun Peng Zhe Ding Yingwen Li Alexander Tendu Xue Hu Ge Gao Weiwei Guo Hang Liu Juhong Rao Jiaxuan Zhao Miaoyu Chen Zhiming Yuan Gary Wong Chao Shan Yanfeng Yao Jiaming Lan 2022Virologica Sinica2022,37,4:0
17A Novel Method for the Quantitative Detection of Sericin Content in Silk Fiber Based on the Ratio of Aspartate to Alanine显示文摘The development of a method for the quantitative determination of the sericin content ratio(SCR)is urgently needed for silk refining and the purification of silk fibroin for biomedical applications.In this work,a series of sericin/fibroin mixed samples with known SCRs were prepared by mixing initial samples of extracted sericin and fibroin from Bombyx mori silk.Significant differences were found in the contents of characteristic hydrophilic amino acids abundant in sericin and hydrophobic amino acids abundant in fibroin,and several linear relation-ships of SCR associated with the content ratios of Ser/Ala,Asp/Ala,Lys/Ala,Asp/Gly and Ser/Gly were estab-lished by amino acid analysis.Subsequently,the linear equation expressing SCR(%)as a function of the Asp to Ala content ratio X(%)was established as SCR=2.5634X−12.5587(R 2=0.9972).The results indicated that the SCR of degummed silks calculated by the equation is more objective and effective than the results obtained by the traditional weight loss method.Our study provides a novel approach for the sensitive and quantitative detection of the sericin content within the detection limit in unknown silks,which can contribute to quality control in the silk production process.Yanfei Feng Jiaming Lin Longxing Niu Peng Pan Xueping Liu Linling Huang Ying Guo Mingzhong Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1:0
18R3-MYB proteins OsTCL1 and OsTCL2 modulate seed germination via dual pathways in rice显示文摘Salt and drought stress are common abiotic factors that exert a detrimental influence on seed germination,potentially leading to significantly impaired growth and production in rice.Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the molecular response of seeds to abiotic stress during the germination is of paramount importance.In the present study,we identified two R3-MYB genes in rice,namely OsTCL1 and OsTCL2,and characterized their roles in regulating seed germination under salt and drought stress.Plants with tcl1 and tcl2 mutant alleles exhibited delayed seed germination,particularly under stress conditions.The tcl1 tcl2 double mutant showed an even more pronounced reduction in germination during initial stages of germination,thereby indicating a redundant regulatory function of OsTCL1 and OsTCL2 in seed germination under abiotic stresses.Furthermore,we demonstrated that the transcript levels of several phospholipase D(PLD)genes were downregulated in the tcl1 tcl2 mutant,resulting in a decreased level of the phosphatidic acid(PA)product.Application of 1-butanol,a competitive substrate inhibitor of PLD-dependent production of PA,attenuated the stress response of the tcl1 tcl2 mutant.This suggests that OsTCL1 and OsTCL2 partially modulate seed germination through the PLD-PA signaling pathway.Moreover,there were alterations in the expression of genes involved in abscisic acid(ABA)biosynthesis,metabolism and signaling transduction in the double mutant.These changes affected the endogenous ABA level and ABA response,thereby influencing seed germination.Application of both 1-butanol and ABA synthesis inhibitor sodium tungstate(Na2WO4)nearly eliminated the differences in stress response between wild type and the tcl1 tcl2 mutant.This indicates that OsTCL1 and OsTCL2 synergistically coordinate seed germination under abiotic stresses through both the PLD-PA signaling and ABA-mediated pathways.Yong Yi Chan Lin Xueyan Peng Meishan Zhang Jiaming Wu Chunmei Meng Shengchao Ge Yunfeng Liu Yuan Su 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,6:0
19Observation of Refractive Index Line Shape in Ultrafast XUV Transient Absorption Spectroscopy显示文摘Ultrafast extreme ultraviolet (XUV) transient absorption spectroscopy measures the time- and frequencydependent light losses after light–matter interactions. In the linear region, the matter response to an XUV light field is usually determined by the complex refractive index ̃n. The absorption signal is directly related to the imaginary part of ̃n, namely, the absorption index. The real part of ̃n refers to the real refractive index, which describes the chromatic dispersion of an optical material. However, the real refractive index information is usually not available in conventional absorption experiments. Here, we investigate the refractive index line shape in ultrafast XUV transient absorption spectroscopy by using a scheme that the XUV pulse traverses the target gas jet off-center. The jet has a density gradient in the direction perpendicular to the gas injection direction, which induces deflection on the XUV radiation. Our experimental and theoretical results show that the shape of the frequency-dependent XUV deflection spectra reproduces the refractive index line profile. A typical dispersive refractive index line shape is measured for a single-peak absorption;an additional shoulder structure appears for a doublet absorption.Moreover, the refractive index line shape is controlled by introducing a later-arrived near-infrared pulse to modify the phase of the XUV free induction decay, resulting in different XUV deflection spectra.
