| 1 | Epinephrine plus argon plasma or heater probe coagulation in ulcer bleeding显示文摘AIM:To compare the effectiveness of argon plasma coagulation (APC) and heater probe coagulation (HPC) in non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding.METHODS:Eighty-five (18 female,67 male) patients admitted for acute gastrointestinal bleeding due to gastric or duodenal ulcer were included in the study.Upper endoscopy was performed and HPC or APC were chosen randomly to stop the bleeding.Initial hemostasis and rebleeding rates were primary and secondary end-points of the study.RESULTS:Initial hemostasis was achieved in 97.7% (42/43) and 81% (36/42) of the APC and HPC groups,respectively (P < 0.05).Rebleeding rates were 2.4% (1/42) and 8.3% (3/36) in the APC and HPC groups,respectively,at 4 wk (P > 0.05).CONCLUSION:APC is an effective hemostatic method in bleeding peptic ulcers.Larger multicenter trials are necessary to confirm these results. | Ahmet Karaman Mevlut Baskol Sebnem Gursoy Edip Torun Alper Yurci Banu Demet Ozel Kadri Guven Omer Ozbakir Mehmet Yucesoy | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，36： | 4 |

| 3 | 国际卒中遗传学联盟的推荐意见(第1部分):标准化表型数据收集显示文摘与几乎所有复杂疾病一样,卒中的患病风险和临床转归也是多基因作用的[1]。探索相关基因突变有望为新型个体化治疗方法奠定基础,从而显著减少卒中对全球健康造成的毁灭性影响。为了达到足够的统计学效能以确认多个风险性等位基因,需要很大的样本量。尽管卒中是全世界范围内第二大致死病因和成年人致残的主要原因[2],但没有任何一家研究机构能独立收集到足够的样本。在认识到这一挑战之后,来自世界各地的卒中研究者们于2007年成立了国际卒中遗传学联盟( International Stroke Genetics Consortium, ISGC; http://www. strokegenetics.org),其使命是通过研究在全球多个研究机构入组的患者来识别影响卒中患病风险、临床预后和治疗效果的遗传学因素。尽管先前已取得了一些成功[3-5],仍有大量工作有待进行,这不仅是为了发现风险性等位基因从而达到卒中个体化医疗的最终目标,更是为了开发综合性卒中风险评估手段以及得到足以改变临床实践的结果[6]。根据糖尿病和冠状动脉疾病等其他复杂疾病的研究进展,为了识别与卒中相关的所有基因突变,需要100000~200000个样本。为了达到这个样本量,需要进行更为广泛的协作。 | Jennifer J. | 4 | Cesarean scar endometrioma:Case series显示文摘AIM: To evaluate endometrioma located at cesarean scatrix.METHODS: Medical data of 6 patients who presented to our institution with abdominal wall endometrioma were evaluated retrospectively and reviewed literature in this case series.The diagnostic approaches and treatment is discussed.RESULTS: All patients had a painful mass located at abdominal scars with history of cesarean section.The ages ranged from 31 to 34 and Doppler ultrasonography(US) detected hypoechoic mass with a mean diameter of 30 mm.Initial diagnosis was endometrioma in 4 and incisional hernia in 2 of 6 patients.Treatment was achieved with surgical excision in 5 patients,and one is followed by hormone suppression therapy with gonadotropin.CONCLUSION: Malignant or benign tumors of abdominal wall and incisional hernias should be kept in mind for diagnosis of endometrioma.Imaging methods like doppler US,computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging should be used for differential diagnosis.Definitive diagnosis can only be made histopathologically.The treatment should be complete surgical excision and take care against intraoperative auto-inoculation of endometrial tissue in order to prevent recurrences. | Cavit Col Edip Erdal Yilmaz | 2014 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2014，2，5： | 3 |

| 6 | Primary hepatic carcinosarcoma显示文摘BACKGROUND:Primary hepatic carcinosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor containing an intimate mixture of carci- nomatous and sarcomatous elements.Reports on risk factors, epidemiology,and pathogenesis of the tumor as well as the experience in its treatment are limited. METHOD:We present a case of primary carcinosarcoma of the liver in a 69-year-old man who complained of right hypochondrial pain and weight loss for two months. RESULTS:Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a 14×12 cm mass in segments 7-8 and 4 of the liver with vena hepatica invasion.An ultrasonography-guided biopsy showed osteoid tissue without osteoblastic rimming.Vascular structures accompanied the osteoid tissue.The patient underwent surgery after a diagnosis of hemangioma.Intraoperative frozen sections revealed a carcinosarcoma associated with an osteosarcoma and cholangiocellular carcinoma components.
